CNBC reports Sinema Leads in Arizona Senate Race that is Still Too Close to Call
Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema took a tiny lead Thursday over Republican Rep. Martha McSally in the Arizona contest, which NBC News considers too close to call. The Democrat holds an edge of only 0.5 percentage points, or about 9,000 votes, in a race that will help to determine how wide Republicans can make their Senate majority starting in January.
Republicans have challenged the process of counting mail-in ballots — which account for about three-fourths of Arizona’s votes — in the state’s two largest counties. The lawsuit, which a judge will hear Friday, targets the practice of Maricopa and Pima Counties allowing voters to fix issues with their ballots for up to five days after Election Day. The state has a tedious process of matching signatures on voters’ registration forms to those on their ballots, and the counties let voters fix signature problems for days after the election.
The litigation could potentially cap the number of votes counted in the race, in which every ballot will be critical due to the tight margin. The result of the contest has huge stakes for what President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans can accomplish in the next Congress.
400,000 Votes Still Uncounted
> At least 400,000 votes were still uncounted as of Friday morning, according to The Associated Press. Maricopa County — the state’s largest — leans Democratic. About 375,000 votes were outstanding in the county as of Thursday night, according to the AP.
Once again it may matter what precincts those uncounted votes votes are from. If they are from Phoenix, Simema is highly likely to win and may be probable in any case.

As of Friday morning, the margin between Scott and Nelson had shrunk to approximately 15,000 votes.
More than 24,700 voted in Broward county for a gubernatorial candidate but not a US Senate candidate, which has led both Democrats and Republicans to suspect that the other side is up to something.
Both Sen. Marco Rubio and former Trump aid Marc Caputo have shared evidence on twitter that could suggest that Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes, who was first appointed in 2003 by former Gov. Jeb Bush, may have tampered with the vote. As Rubio pointed out, Nelson has retained Democratic lawyer Marc Elias to help with the recount effort. Elias has said it’s “not plausible” that so many people voted in lower level races but didn’t cast ballots in the governors’ race.
This will not get settled for days.

“Dozens of boxes filled with mail-in ballots are sitting inside a Miami-area mail distribution center, according to photos obtained by The Miami New Times.
The news outlet noted that the distribution center where the ballots are located is the same one that was evacuated in October after a mail bomb reached the facility.
The news about the ballots comes the same day Miami-Dade County announced it finished counting votes for the midterm elections, which includes hotly-contested Senate and gubernatorial races that have yet to be called.
Two unnamed sources alleged to The New Times that hundreds or thousands of ballots may still be in the distribution center.
A spokesperson for the Elections Department told the news outlet that it was aware of the development. Though the spokesperson added that any ballots not delivered to the Miami-Dade Elections Department by 7 p.m. on Election Day would not be counted.
“We do our best to educate voters that, if you’re voting vote-by-mail, then your ballot had to be at the Elections Department by Tuesday, November 6,” she said. “Not everybody mailed back in time.”
A spokesperson for the department did not immediately return a request for comment from The Hill on Friday.”

In an area where there are 30%-40% immigrants the schools are mostly 60%-80% immigrants and in areas where there are over 50% immigrants the schools are mostly 90% immigrants and many immigrant kids drop out of school and even those who graduate usually just get the minimum grades so the teacher is not accused to be a xenophobe or racist or discriminatory by them so they have no or very little useful skills so life of drug dealing, crime, robberies, joblessness mixed with some rock throwing against police, fire patrol and ambulances awaits them spiced with some car torching when they get bored for the males and for the females it is most times starting to make more immigrant background kids after they have turned 18 or even earlier if they have dropped out of school and Sweden’s welfare state gives them free money to live and free apartments by the local government to live in and then they can go to free daycare and to free school.

Make no mistake: America has rejected Trumpism.
No one seriously expected the Senate to flip, because Democrats had to defend 26 seats in that chamber, compared with only nine held by Republicans.
The real battleground was the House, where Democrats had to achieve a net gain of 23 seats to get the 218 needed for a majority.
They did.
Trump wasn’t on the ballot but he made the election into a referendum on himself.
So Americans turned against House Republicans, who should have acted as a check on him but did nothing – in many cases magnifying his vileness.

Didn’t Pelosi just promise to stay well clear of acting as a check on, but rather to do her best to magnify, the vileness of Trump’s most signature of policies, his arbitrary tariffs?
McSally is a bonified NUT…but of course Mish provides no context!

So I’m a born and raised Floridian and can shine some light on this. Andrew Gillum was/is the democrat running for governor and he is an African-American. Florida also uses constitutional amendments to drive voter turnout. One of the big ones this year was to reinstate the voting rights of convicted felons, which disproportionately effects African-American men in the state. So the dems were obviously targeting a large turn-out of African-Americans, which also happen to be a large minority in Broward County (home to Ft Lauderdale for you party hounds).
They came out to vote for Gillum. That does not translate into votes for Bill Nelson, the incumbent democratic senator. Nelson is a multi-multi-millionaire scion of a large cattle ranching family from my neck of the woods (Brevard County, think NASA). He is about as conservative, pro-business as you will ever find in the democratic party. He is really only a democrat because he started in politics at a time when Florida was a Southern Democrat stronghold.
Decent black folks know where their bread is buttered, and it isn’t with Nelson. Or Rick Scott for the matter. Nelson was born with a silver spoon in his mouth in the form of tens of thousands of acres of prime Florida real estate. Rick Scott stole his millions by defrauding Medicare as CEO of HealthSouth Corp.
I apologize to all of you from the Great State of Florida.
So, why didn’t Gillum win the governor’s race?
He still might. The number of uncounted votes in Broward (which is heavily democratic) are enough to put him over the top. Florida also doesn’t have as large an African-American population relatively as other Southern states, due to being a retirement haven. And Florida also has a relatively healthy black middle-class who tend to be fairly conservative.
It is amazing.
In any close election, time after time, the democrat candidate miraculously finds just enough votes to win well after election night.
Now if this was just random occurrences, you would think it would help the republican candidates about half the time.
Every time it favors the democrat.
