Trump Now Says “We Need Greenland for National Security” and the EU Knows That

Trump is seriously out of control and more so every day.

Please note Trump Says U.S. Needs to Control Greenland

President Trump made clear he wants to take control of Greenland. “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security and the European Union needs us to have it and they know that,” he told reporters on Air Force One.

U.S. Has ‘No Right’ to Greenland, Danish Prime Minister Says

Speaking the obvious, the Danish Prime Minister says U.S. Has ‘No Right’ to Greenland

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen sharply criticized the idea that the U.S. could take over Greenland in the wake of the Venezuela incursion. “I have to say this very directly to the United States: It makes absolutely no sense to talk about it being necessary for the US to take over Greenland,” Frederiksen said in a statement Sunday. “The United States has no right to annex one of the three countries in the Commonwealth.”

President Trump has repeatedly brought up the idea of the U.S. taking control of Greenland from Denmark, and told the Atlantic this weekend that “We do need Greenland, absolutely.” On Saturday, Katie Miller—a former Trump adviser who is married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller—posted a map of Greenland with the American flag over it and the caption: “SOON.”

Greenland isn’t about defense, it is about offense. Years ago, the “Arctic” countries engaged in a scientific project to map the continental shelves in the Arctic, understanding that there are territorial claims that the scientific study would prove or disprove. In interviews, after a Russian politician pulled a stunt by putting the Russian flag on the North Pole, scientists were saying that the co-operation between all of the scientists was good, but politicians, particularly in the US and Russia were interfering. The US has claimed a massive amount of territory, disputed by Canada, in the Beaufort Sea. Greenland also could claim more. The US claims the Northwest Passage that lies entirely within Canadian waters, is an international waterway. This is about stopping northern route shipping in Russian waters that is now operating the entire year. The US may have some legitimate claim to the Beaufort Sea, but nowhere near what it claims. That claim plus Greenland and its potential claim (or bogus US claim) provides a platform to attack Russia and shipping (primarily Chinese) in that territory.

Only US troops are on Greenland, and Denmark might be paying partly for them. Denmark also provides subsidies to the people living there. So I struggle to see why it would be better to add Greenland to the US, it is de facto US territory already, it just so happens Denmark provides the financing and polices the pesky natives.

From a different perspective, Trump enjoys ‘jerking the chain.’ Perhaps he gets a thrill from seeing the EU leaders as ‘headless chickens.’ Maybe it’s a desire for global chaos.
Maybe Trump looks at the map and realizes the strategic importance of Greenland relative to Russia.

Ultimately, its about resources, IMHO. Ever notice how China is exerting influence in Africa? Should the US suck its thumb?

Wondering if some of Trump’s motivation is China and Russia and Trump’s determination to keep them out of this hemisphere. The fact that Panama is in his sites makes little sense unless he wants China fully and completely out of here.

You’re thinking belongs in the 19th century where it died.
After the Napoleonic and two world wars, it was determined that the only way to coexist is through cooperation and establishing laws of conduct. Mutually assured destruction and all that.

If we retreat to the 19th century then we can expect our economic and military power to retreat as well

Green

Maybe that’s true if you have military or economic equals involved.

Who is going to “mutually” destroy the USA? Venezuela? Europeans? China? How likely are other countries to admonish or take action againt the USA, to their own detriment of course, so they can stand up for a communist regime that nationalized these resources, skirted sanctions, pumped drugs into the USA, and oppressed an entire population?

Yes, if its China or Russia, that’s a different animal. But I don’t imagine anyone is seriously standing against the US to support Venezuela.

Greenland is of strategic importance because of its location, plus it has raw resources the US wants, including rare earths. Biden worked to prevent China from investing in a rare earths operation in Greenland.

Trump and Biden take orders from the Military Industrial Complex. Nobody gets to be president unless they agree to be subservient to the MIC and follow their game plan. That’s what this is all about.

The US has ALWAYS bullied other countries and has ALWAYS been at war with other countries: how many years of peace have you had since the day of your foundation to today? How many bases and soldiers do you have all over the world?
And as a declining empire things are only going to get worse regardless of who is in power.

The important difference here is that while Trump is taking on smaller weaker countries (as usual), the collective Biden was insane and/or deluded enough to be taking on the other nuclear superpower. And the bigger one at that…

Added bonus for the Americans from the Trump admin is that you will get a bit less LGBTQ-ism, a bit less anti-white racism, a bit less 3rd world immigration, a bit less green BS, a bit less harmful vaccines and a (tiny) bit less feminism.

Added bonus for us Europeans from the Trump admin is that there is mutual contempt between Trump and the EU and UK ruling elites and he is most probably going to hasten the already inevitable death of the dystopian, satanist, globalist project called the European Union (not to talk about NATO, but for different reasons).

This is a good place to re-post a comment I made for the first time in January 2025 and which explained what was going to happen:

The anglo-euro-NATO war to Russia in Ukraine is coming to its natural end: capitulation of the extremist and illegitimate regime put in power by the Americans in 2014.
My wife, who is from the Donbas where we also have an apartment in one of its major cities, has a bottle of spumante ready.

The US-Russia negotiations will be around the new security architecture (basically a new Yalta) asked for by Putin for the last time in 2021, in the face of ever mounting NATO expansion and anglo-american “color revolutions” and destabilizing terrorist activities.

The US-Russia negotiations will not be about Ukraine, Trump is clearly positioning himself to be able to drop Ukraine like the used condom that it is and walk away nominally leaving this failed project to the deranged EUropeans and the even more deranged Brits, which is totally fine by Putin since today’s NATO, against a peer adversary, has proved to be a paper tiger, and NATO without the US is a wet paper tiger, and everybody of real consequence around the world now knows it.

All of Trump’s moves (Canada, Greenland, Ukraine, tariffs etc etc) show he is aware of the realities of the new “multipolar” world and of the failing USA and he is seeking to carve up and consolidate the best zone of influence possible for a much scaled down US and will reach some agreement with the other two (re)emerging super-powers: Russia and China.

BINGO, WE HAVE A WINNER. i experienced russia in the 90s and am a dual citizen of US and italia. pax dumbfuckistan is in the waning years of failure. we will have a 50 state solution in a few years. life will carry on. this empire is kaput. the ruling class will just steal everything for themselves from the us treasury and government owned. i think it will be much better for the typical nihilist dumbfuck amerikan in another 5 years. the young folks will love it. the geezers north of 40 will be mindfucked and lose it as the currency gets destroyed. i remember doctors in russia in the 90s who were prostituting themselves in the night clubs. shit happens. glad i lived through one failed evil empire. i feel like a veteran loser.

The only problem with leaving Ukraine to the Europeons and Brits is that Perfidious Albion is still perfidious. And psychopathic. They will probably continue their murderous terrorism even after a peace of sorts is reached. It may take an Oreshnik or three onto MI6 headquarters to get them to quit. It may take more.

Very true, and Oreshniki on the City of London, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and Westminster would do a lot of good for the world but the end of the NATO – Russia war in Ukraine will not leave a “Ukraine” from where the Brits can continue their usual terrorist activities.

There are a few scenarios much discussed in Russia’s public discourse about Ukraine’s sealed fate and I have my own opinion on the matter but in all of them there will be no rump independent Ukraine still in Western hands.

> hasten the already inevitable death of the dystopian, satanist, globalist project called the European Union..

both under the control of the well known satanist globalist string pullers bent on creating yet another war theater in Europe through their minions vdL, Kallas, Starmer, Macron, Merz and others. 1-2 Million casualties in RU-Ukraine US proxy war not enough to please Satan. Still time to stop this one dead and fight for peace, Eastern European countries taking the lead

Which Eastern European countries though? They are as divided on this issue as the Western European ones (Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal are NOT russophobe countries as the other Western European countries).

This is one of the many reasons for which the EU was alkways destined to crash and burn, we are fundamentally different and with fundamentally different national interests.

P.S.Even France is deeply divided, and Italians and Greeks are actually “RUSSOPHILES”!

Hungary comes to mind – Orban a rock in rough seas.
Granted, we are fundamentally different and national identities will never be completely wiped out as much as externally controlled mass immigration is rapidly making the natives a minority in their own countries – not all of them mind you. But all nations are certainly united by despising the tyrannical systems being imposed on them and their knowledge that war is evil. Add to that the technical impossibility to fully censor the internet, the fact that it is now common knowledge the CV19 gene injections – or any other vaccination for that matter – is part and parcel of the military / Darpa population reduction program and that will make it v e r y difficult for the reptiles to achieve their NWO. Won’t happen. No way.

In Eastern Europe the sane ones on this issue are Hungary and Slovakia and recently the Czech Republic and, once EU electoral frauds are over, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldavia (not EU but still…) and many more.
Not to mention the Serbs, of course, who just need to get rid of that Davos installed serp.

This seems like an expensive way to distract us from Trump pimping teenaged girls to Epstein. The useless US media is playing right along.

I don’t think the average Trump supporter really cares about Trump’s Epstein involvement-which is very significant. Remaining MAGA supporters are in some kind of dangerous cult. They seem incapable of rational, critical thinking. A lot like Mattias Desmet’s Mass Formation psychosis theory regarding Covid.

the us media is just selling the public what they want. it is nothing more than madison avenue advertising campaigns. if the customer wants violent porno on the news, deliver that. nothing more. the roman bread company used to underwrite the news in ancient rome.
