A Racist Proposal by Harris Would Make Forgivable Loans to Blacks

The political pandering on both sides of the aisle continues with free money handouts. The latest by Harris is unconstitutional and racist.

A Racist Appeal to Black Men

The Wall Street Journal comments Harris Fights to Counter Trump’s Appeal With Black Men

Harris on Monday night stopped by a Black-owned business in Erie, Pa., to discuss her new economic plan for Black entrepreneurs ahead of a rally there.

Quentin James, founder and president of the Collective PAC, a pro-Harris group, said it was important for Democrats to use policy to persuade Black men to vote for Harris over Republican former President Donald Trump. James, who is attending Monday night’s event in Detroit, said Obama’s remarks suggesting Harris’s support with Black men is somewhat soft because they are “not feeling the idea” of a female president weren’t helpful.

Asked if it would be helpful for Obama to reiterate those comments at future campaign stops, James said: “If the goal is to increase Black male engagement, hell no.”

The new policies and football meetup are part of Harris’s latest efforts to reach out to Black men, a core constituency for the party. Polling shows a potential lack of enthusiasm among those voters with early voting already under way in some states. Securing the support of Black men could prove decisive in key battleground races, particularly as Harris attempts to drive up turnout in places like Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta.

The vice president wants to offer one million forgivable business loans for Black entrepreneurs to use to start businesses, create more training and apprenticeship programs and study diseases, such as diabetes and sickle cell anemia, that predominantly affect Black men.

The Harris campaign’s self-described “opportunity agenda for Black men” would regulate cryptocurrency and digital currencies to protect Black investors, promote more Black men into the teaching profession and reiterate the vice president’s support for legalizing marijuana.

“In the process of doing that, not only are you directly dealing with the injustices and the legal and procedural barriers that have been focused on Black voters, but by eliminating those barriers, everyone actually benefits,” Harris said of her economic policies in an interview with “#RolandMartinUnfiltered” released Monday.

Racism on Display

Harris is now openly promoting her racist, DEI, discriminatory, need to make up for past injustices platform.

If you foolishly believed Harris moved toward the center, that’s additional proof she didn’t.

Anyone with a bit of common sense knew her alleged shift to the middle was a lie. But don’t take my word for it, take hers.

Would Not Change Anything

The View asked Harris “If anything, would you have done something differently than President Biden during the past four years?

Kamala Harris replied “There is not a thing that comes to mind.

Which Position Is the Lie?

Harris claims she will allow more fracking and will let you drive the car you want, but she would not change anything Biden did.

she wants you to believe she will be more moderate.

That is exactly the stunt Joe Biden pulled as he morphed into the most extreme Progressive DEI president in history.

Now here she is on full display promoting a California-style DEI, social justice platform with racist and unconstitutional proposals targeting black men.

That’s the real Kamala Harris.

Extreme Proposals

Extreme proposals on both side of the aisle make me want to cry out loud in a bucket. “Oh for crying out loud in a bucket” is an expression my mom frequently said.

Buy American Provisions

On October 5, I commented Buy American Provisions Cost $125,000 Per Job Created

“Buy America” sounds great. But it’s costly and about to rise steeply. Trump, Harris, and Biden all support this.

Trump Claims Tariffs Will Reduce the Trade Deficit

On September 26, I commented Trump Claims Tariffs Will Reduce the Trade Deficit. Let’s Fact Check.

Trump proposes 60 percent tariffs on China. Would that reduce the trade deficit? Where? How?

Critical Materials Risk Assessment by the US Department of Energy

Please consider a Critical Materials Risk Assessment by the US Department of Energy

The US Department of Energy has placed some of the rare earth minerals we need for weapons systems, windmills, batteries, and aircraft on a critical materials list.

Nearly all of them are mined or refined in China. Yet Biden just blocked production in the US.

So, how might China respond to 60 percent tariffs?

Anyone want to join me crying out loud in a bucket?

Did you answer how you were going to deport the criminals when you don’t know who is who?

In your last post you said you would focus on deporting criminals. I’m asking how you would know who is who? There was no vetting. The cat is out of the bag. The whole purpose of legal immigration is to know who you are letting in.

So the other readers seem to understand what I’m saying but you do not….You talked about focusing on criminals. My point is the criminals do not raise their hand and tell you they are. SO what you are saying here is you are going to wait until they commit a crime like say killing Lakin Riley to do something about them being here. We know that prisons in some countries were emptied to come here. They already committed an illegal act by coming here. But you’d rather not do anything about it because of money? We put a man on the moon. We have hundreds of billions for Ukraine and Israel. Yes it will be expensive but unless you tackle this problem you are actively encouraging more people to come illegally. Why on earth would someone want to legally try to become a citizen anymore with actual vetting and time constraints when you can illegally come here and hope no one cares enough to enforce the laws.

I believe self-deportation of illegals would be cheaper if we quit supporting them with free everything from phones to food and housing by way of federal law forbidding any tax dollars going toward any program that supports them. This would aslo contribute to reducing the deficit. We all know federal agencies will do as they wish without regard for the law, just look at the lack of any enforcement action by Department of Homeland Security. I propose the law include a provision that congress be required to reduce funding for any agency by an amount equal to their support of illegals. Now we know congress will not abide by anything, but it will give non incumbents campaign fodder to root out those not supporting fixing the illegal immigrant situation.

I suspect many will suggest none of this will work, but doing something is better than nothing but complaining it will cost too much, we cannot identify those we should deport, or it’s not right to be less than hospitable to the invaders. I believe this board would be enhanced by others giving proposals that could/would improve the mess.

If American citizens were threatened with fines or jail for employing or assisting an illegal alien, they would leave because there’s no work or support. Criminals would be the ones who stay behind. 🙂

I believe he’s pointing out that among those who recently entered the U.S. illegally, a small but substantial fraction had previously committed crimes in other countries before entering the U.S.

They are already criminals. A vetting process would have prevented them from entering. But that didn’t happen. Now that they are here, what should we do?

Do we wait for them to commit more crimes, and eventually (if we’re lucky) get arrested (and convicted), or should we pro-actively vet them beforehand?

There are costs with any decision here. It would be best to consider all costs, benefits and unintended consequences of all options rather than just focusing on the costs of one option.

One issue with only identifying illegals after criminal arrests (or convictions) is that a lot of extra crimes are going to be committed before those people get arrested (or convicted).

Also, arrests are not proof of guilt. Making deportation a consequence of arrest will have a large basket of unintended consequences. Deporting a convicted criminal may simply export the injustice. Incarcerating convicted illegals is yet another burden on the taxpayer.

Yes, closing the boarder and starting with criminals makes the most sense. Hopefully others will leave on their own but if they don’t, as long as they stay on the right side of the law it’ll be sufferable. But once they break the law, off they go!

Mish I get what you are saying and agree with some of it but the illegals that are working are still getting discounted housing in Form of Section 8 or some voucher, food stamps and some are getting Supplemental Security Income(SSI) from the Federal government
They are taking away from poor American people, be it white, black Latino, etc etc.
That is just not right so why would you expect Americans to not be upset about that??
This has nothing to do with Trump. It is obvious the Democratic party is putting illegal foreigners ahead of poor, working poor and middle class Americans of all races and cultures.
That’s bullshit and I have a big problem with that

There are any number of ways of getting control of illegal immigrants.

1) Buy a work permit, priced for seasonal work, annual, five years, etc, even lifetime. The price of the work permit would reflect the unpaid taxes and benefits received by illegal immigrant. In other words, take away the incentive to come to the US and pay NOTHING. Where does the $$$ come from to buy the permit. The NCOs currently shipping them in, companies seeking to hire etc, fund the permit until the immigrant can pay.

2) Any illegal immigrant already in the US must leave within the year, or be subject to above work permit–retroactively. Failure to pay, the immigrant forfeits all gains for unpaid taxes–they get to leave with one set of clothes and a bus ticket to the border. In this instance, the illegal immigrant is NOT able to gain citizenship.

3) If an illegal immigrant leaves within the year, and has not broken any laws in the US, he/she can apply in his/her own country for legal admission at the US Consulate/Embassy, where they will have the same priority as any immigrant. This push-into-the-line crap has to stop.

I could go on with other ideas, but the goal is NOT to jail anyone. It is to remove the Incentive to come illegally.

4) If you hire an illegal immigrant without a work permit, you become responsible for buying the work permit. It might be prorated for the period hired, but a greater ‘incentive’ to require a work permit before hiring an illegal immigrant would be no prorating.

Democrat polling data may have been reason for her to promote this promise.

It somewhat seems desperate, and is a red flag that her campaign thinks they have not locked up the black vote enough as compared to Biden in 2020.

Mish, there are already VAST numbers of forgivable loans out there. Speaking with a college consultant, he told me that I am screwed: I pay the entire college cost for my daughter, and when my son goes to college next year, DOE rule state(d) that my costs should split due to having two kids in college.

NOT ANYMORE!

NEW rules from Executive Orders (Brandon decrees) changed the FAFSA financial aid form that precludes any more splitting of costs. Why? Brandon’s student loan forgiveness scheme, of course!!

Even though its in limbo, the changes to FAFSA and the student loan market have not. I’ll still get stuck with full college bills for two.

The reason for the (old) split costs rule is that the DOE seemingly recognized its role in skyrocketing college costs due to free loans to everyone for every stupid degree imaginable. Whilst most took the loans and accepted permanent debt bondage, a few who chose to pay first were thrown a bone.

NO MORE. Student loan forgiveness would deprive the Too Big To Fails their cut of the obscene guaranteed interest profits. Therefore, CHOP OFF the split cost discount and force the few remaining of us into loans so the greedy donors to the DCCC could get some replacement profits.

So that’s the story behind the story. Forgivable loans are gifts to banks foremost. They’ll get a profit no matter what — as long as they donate to the proper candidate!

Does ‘Buy America’ have to cost anything?

It could be as simple as requiring internet retailers to list the country of manufacture/origin below/above/beside the price of an item. Currently, there is NO SUCH REQUIREMENT. It might be on the image of the item, on on the packaging etc, but impossible to see on your cellphone. At the least, it will piss-off certain exporters and the worst offender of all–Amazon

My point, the consumer can take that information into account, or not. That said, I expect most Americans will still buy the cheapest. If even 10% switch to Made in USA, or an ally country, it will make a difference.

USDA low interest loans primarily benefit rural folks, who happen to mostly be White. These include business and home mortgage loans at below-market rates.

US Department of Urban can have low interest loans with salary and net worth limits to primarily benefit Black people.

Or just expand the USDA programs to include all of the US, not just historically rural areas.

USDA loans are to help insure America can feed itself. Everyone who eats benefits. Probably, every govt policy benefits or penalizes some ethnic groups more than others, but this is not a racist policy like Kamala proposes. Farming is by nature a very uncertain business. If you want family farms replaced by big agribusiness (which I guarantee you is going to up the price of food) then eliminating low interest loans is the best way to do it.

If the forgivable loan program were to be implemented, it would be one more nail in the destruction of the US economy. US default risk would increase, and the destruction of the dollar would make the loans worthless anyway. The smart money would be fine, everyone else will be in abject poverty.

If a country has a persistent trade (CA) deficit, an across-the-board tariff will reduce imports because they become more expensive for US consumers and companies (that’s the tax effect of the tariff). At the same time, there will some nominal exchange rate appreciation (that’s the exchange rate effect of tariff), which will reduce US exports. While the precise end effect on the trade deficit (CA) is unclear, the best guess is that it will be unaffected, while both US consumers and US exporters will get damaged. That’s why every competent trade economist believes that an across-the-board tariff is the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot.
