An Amazing Epstein TACO Reversal, Trump Backs Vote to Release Files

I did not see this one coming. Did you?

Facing potentially dozens of Republican House defects Trump Backs Vote to Release Epstein Files

President Trump threw in the towel on dissuading House Republicans from backing a measure to release files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, saying Sunday night that GOP lawmakers should instead embrace the vote.

The vote set for this week had been shaping up as a major test of GOP loyalty to the president, who has kept an iron grip over the party since starting his second term in January. Dozens of Republicans were expected to potentially break with the president when the measure hit the House floor, and Trump’s announcement Sunday night avoids a potential embarrassment for the White House.

House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax,” Trump wrote on social media, calling it a distraction from GOP successes.

What Happened?

Politico reports “Senior Republicans privately believe dozens of Republicans will vote for it, possibly 100 or more, according to five people granted anonymity to speak candidly. Democrats pushing the petition publicly predicted that Republicans would rush to support the measure once it hit the floor.”

Several Senate Republicans also said they would defect. Trump did not want to have to veto a bill on the release.

Trump’s tried to squelch an investigation. Instead, efforts to squash the vote piqued interest in the emails.

Epstein Files Transparency Act

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a proposed piece of legislation that would require the Department of Justice to publicly release all unclassified documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, with limited exceptions. The act specifically prohibits withholding information based on embarrassment or political sensitivity, but it does allow for redactions of personally identifiable information of victims, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and information that would jeopardize an active federal investigation. The act aims to ensure transparency and accountability by forcing the release of files including flight logs, travel records, and names of individuals involved.

Shifting Personal Relationship Narrative

  • Early Acquaintance (1980s-early 2000s): Trump and Epstein moved in the same social circles in Manhattan and Palm Beach. In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump was quoted as calling Epstein a “terrific guy”.
  • The “Falling Out” (c. 2004): Trump claims he had a falling out with Epstein around 2004 and subsequently cut ties, saying he was “not a fan” and that he “kicked him out of his club for being a creep”. Emails released by the House Oversight Committee in November 2025 detail Epstein’s soured view of Trump post-split, with Epstein claiming Trump “knew about the girls”. Trump has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s illegal activities.
  • Post-Arrest Comments (2019 onward): After Epstein’s 2019 arrest and subsequent death by suicide in jail, Trump distanced himself publicly, saying he hadn’t spoken to Epstein in 15 years. He also fueled conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s death, at times suggesting it may have been a killing, and demanding a full investigation.

Changing Position on Releasing Files

Trump’s position on the release of the Justice Department’s files related to the Epstein investigation has been particularly contradictory:

  • Campaign Promises (2024): During his 2024 campaign, Trump and his allies (including JD Vance) hinted they would release all of the Epstein files if elected, suggesting the documents would compromise powerful individuals.
  • Resistance and Downplaying (Mid-2025): After taking office, his administration became reluctant to release all the files, frustrating some of his supporters and members of Congress. The Justice Department and FBI released a memo stating there was no evidence of a “secret client list,” which many of his supporters viewed as a betrayal. Trump subsequently dismissed the ongoing calls for transparency as a “Democratic Hoax” and “boring stuff”.
  • Recent Reversal (November 2025): Faced with mounting pressure and a potential congressional vote to compel the release, Trump abruptly reversed his stance, urging House Republicans to vote in favor of releasing the files “because we have nothing to hide”. Simultaneously, he called on the Justice Department to investigate Bill Clinton and other high-profile figures mentioned in connection to Epstein.

Trump Was Right

  • Trump was right years ago when he called Epstein a “terrific guy”.
  • Trump was right in 2019 when he called for a full investigation.
  • Trump was right in 2024 when he supported a release of documents.
  • Trump was right in 2025 when he said the whole thing was a hoax.
  • Trump is right now.

Q: Isn’t that a major set of changes?
A: No silly. He was right then, and then he was right then, and then he was right then, and now he is right now. Nothing has changed.

Q: But what about his position?
A: Don’t you understand English? Nothing has changed!

Trump Doesn’t Care

As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat “Shutdown.” The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on “Epstein,” are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE! All I do care about is that Republicans get BACK ON POINT, which is the Economy, “Affordability” (where we are winning BIG!), our Victory on reducing Inflation from the highest level in History to practically nothing, bringing down prices for the American People, delivering Historic Tax Cuts, gaining Trillions of Dollars of Investment into America (A RECORD!), the rebuilding of our Military, securing our Border, deporting Criminal Illegal Aliens, ending Men in Women’s Sports, stopping Transgender for Everyone, and so much more! Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory. Some “members” of the Republican Party are being “used,” and we can’t let that happen. Let’s start talking about the Republican Party’s Record Setting Achievements, and not fall into the Epstein “TRAP,” which is actually a curse on the Democrats, not us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

More Epstein Q&A

Q: What did Trump mean when he said “the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to“?
A: Hmmm.

Q: If this Epstein “TRAP” is actually a curse on the Democrats, why did this take so long?
A: Doesn’t anyone understand the sheer brilliance of 8-D Chess?

Expect to see a slow release, starting with anything incriminating any Democrats.

Trump gets an F for how he handled this Epstein affair. All he accomplished was blowing his credibility with another big chunk of his supporters including some his strongest needlessly. All he had to do is release them and then slow walk them out heavily redacted akin to the JFK assassination.

We all know Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell were linked to Mossad.

The old guard Democrats truly don’t want these files out either because they will be incriminated as well. Too many Trump supporting newer generation Republicans in Congress jumped ship tho.

I think you’re missing the essence of the conspiracy theory. We’ll have to check back in a month.

I think he’s going to be very pro-transparency from this point forward. He wants to make sure that all the Republicans don’t look like they’re trying to hide pedophiles.

He’s going to leave it up to the DOJ to protect the evidence of an ongoing investigation. Since he has started an investigation against Bill Clinton, all of this evidence will not be available for anyone to see. He can’t release the files because he’s simply following the law, for once.

DOJ can withhold any “information that would jeopardize an active federal investigation.”

Translation: anyone who wants a person’s info withheld can* file a request with the White House to open a DOJ investigation on that person.**

*With a donation to the RNC (amount negotiable). Multiple persons may be eligible for a group discount.
**To maintain active status, and to assure that DOJ activity is minimized, the donation must be repeated every quarter AND such person shall remain on very good terms with DJT.

Well, well, well. He finally relents on the one thing that would dog and cripple his administration until the end. For any of the men mentioned they may regret helping TACO get elected. But maybe he’ll use the info it to claim Maxwell wasn’t nearly involved as the feds said. Or maybe he’ll say she’s served her time. I see her getting off (pun intended) near the end of his term when it doesn’t matter any more. Only question is what happens to her on the outside? I guess if all the secrets come out before she’s released than she won’t matter anymore.

Louisiana GOP Senator John Kennedy quipped … ‘Christmas Ornaments, Dry Wall, and Jeffrey Epstein’ … followed by … ‘name three things that don’t hang themselves’ ……(Taken out of context .. the next sentence was ‘that’s what the American people think’.) That was in a senate hearing 90 days into the FBI ‘suicide’ investigation.

ME disclosure of bilateral thyroid and hyoid cartilage fractures (opining from suicide and from a kneeling position) vice murder via mid neck strangulation (vice the common high submandibular area in suicides) – that’s where the laceration/abrasion indentation mark was located – from the wire, er, uh, rather the bloodless cloth ligature strips – and as Barr put it the ‘screwed up’ jail house circumstances – have resulted in multiple American polls in the summer of 2025 showing a 2-3 to 1 margin in favor of murder. If this was a one issue election, murder would easily win the midterms.

In a 2025 review of 210 suicides by hanging, only 4.5% had either a right or left thyroid fracture, none had a bilateral thyroid fracture.

The point to all of the above is that even a very clumsy cover-up will suffice.

There is some sort of option B/C etc. maybe he can kill it in the senate. Ugliest for trump he has to veto it himself.
Option C use the doj investigation into clinton/ the treasurer and banker to withhold files due to “active” investigation. Bonus you get to drag opponents through the system. Guilty or Not.
Option D tie it up in court/ confuse everyone so much know one knows whats going on. Retain power die in office/.
E combo of all above

Things to ponder

Trump learned a trick from roger stone. Accuse your accusers what they call you out on.

Darvo denied attack reverse victim and offender. So maybe back when the republicans were shouting dc was full of dem pedos they were actually talking about republicans.

Maybe this is what the Russians have on him.

If there is a link. Hes guilty other top republicans are guilt. How far does that trickle down damage the republican machine. Think damage to conservative talk radio/ politicians that back him / donors etc.
i caught a interview a while back where the guy was saying the culture wars was adopted after watergate because know one want to vote republican after nixion.

Trumped, definition:
1: Having an enormous ego, and not thinking before shooting off one’s mouth,
2: A chaotic situation where no one knows wtf is going on.

What a crock! Yes you did! The momentum has built up to the point that the remaining releasable files under House control will be released.

Furthermore, you know as well as anyone, that there’s nothing in there that’s going to send Trump to jail or anyone else for that matter. What Trump was fighting, as you well know, is the absolute certain use of these files to impeach him, if the Dems take the House in 2026.

Stop playing the make-believe ostrich.

Trump impeachment #1 over a phone call & assumed pressuring of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden who actually did abuse his power as VP.

Then, Trump was impeached one week prior to leaving office for J6. And everyone knows that was a boondoggle, except the Trump haters, of course.

Somehow someway, the Dems will try to impeach Trump a 3rd time for something he did while not holding office of the presidency. At the very least, they’ll try to make him look bad going into the midterms.

But you knew all of that already, but just wanted me to spell it out for you.

Enjoy!

As others say I suspect that on face value the release will not be that incriminating as a result of redactions etc.

However hopefully there are some interesting threads for investigative journalists to pick up that will lead to the real truth in time.

For example, the Palm Beach Police seem to have been obfuscating some things that deserve investigation; did Epstein spend thanksgiving at Mar a Lago in Nov 2017?

Perseived wisdom is that it is always the cover up that does it …however in Trump’s case the media is so timid (due to a deliberate policy of intimidation) that I’m not so sure.

Considering Trump is an ego driven wannabe dictator, from a psychological standpoint, I don’t think he could stand that this all got away from him. He couldn’t browbeat the Congress to do his bidding so now he’s making it “his” decision to release the files.

As others have pointed it, enough evidence has likely been altered or destroyed at this point to make any release incomplete. Ultimately, it’s all bad for Trump either way. No one trusts anything he does or says at this point.

The document that made me realize Trump just maybe had sex with a child at Epstein’s was the outline of nude girl’s torso with his bold signature across the Hollywood Access “grab it here” zone. As I understand it, that document did not come from the Epstein files, or, if it’s in the files, it had never been released. The document is thought to have come from Epstein’s Estate. Is that correct? Epstein’s brother has apparently come out and denied that Bubba is that Bubba. (Not Bill Clinton). The standard will not be the issuance of indictments. That notion is sillier than silly. The standard will be, is it possible the sitting President of the United States of America, during his long and close friendship with Epstein, put his penis into any hole of a child? That’s it.

– President Trump threw in the towel on dissuading House Republicans from backing a measure to release files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, saying Sunday night that GOP lawmakers“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax,” Trump wrote on social media, calling it a distraction from GOP successes.

> Well that’s what happens when your President is 100% Innocent of ALL BS Accusations. You push the envelope hard enough, and you just might end up in Hot Water yourselves! Trump was trying hard to keep this out of the light so as not to add darkness to an already strained Democrat Shutdown Fiasco. He simply wants the Country to move forward, but nope, they had to push it, so NOW They Will Have To Answer perhaps? Let’s see how this unfolds Now…

What Happened? (See above)

– Politico reports “Senior Republicans privately believe dozens of Republicans will vote for it, possibly 100 or more.

> They best do so, or face the wrath of Trump trying to get the Country Moving Again in a positive direction. If they have something to hide, let it out now, because it will come to light. Trump May do it for them, if they start acting out. You don’t want to become the problem, because Republicans don’t put up with that sort of BS under Trump!!

> Perfect!!! Now let’s get it out there for people to see, and the Lawmakers with ALL the Information to continue there efforts of finding chargeable offenders and putting an end to this nightmare…

Trump Was Right:

– Trump was right years ago when he called Epstein a “terrific guy” > Yes, for Business

– Trump was right in 2019 when he called for a full investigation. > Yes, for wrong doing.

– Trump was right in 2024 when he supported a release of documents.
> Yes, He had nothing to hide.

– Trump was right in 2025 when he said the whole thing was a hoax.
> Yes, against HIM, but let’s see what the released documents also may imply, shall we?

– Trump is right now.
> Yes, he is doing what I have been suggesting all along.

– Trump Doesn’t Care
> No, and with nothing to hide, why would He? Trump just wants to continue with helping America, and this distraction will now be behind us hopefully, and for those guilty, you may pay a price if there is convicting evidence.

– Expect to see a slow release, starting with anything incriminating any Democrats.

Trump’s ego is destructive. He’s a developer-cowboy. Rides into town firing blanks, provides free drinks at the salon, and completes about 10% of what he says. Still, I’ll take the 10% over zero% any day.

Trump’s America First Approach scares people–they’ve been beaten into submission ever since Reagan. Rather than go about building consensus, he does developer-cowboy. Tariffs should’ve been done by Congress–it really is a matter of survival until the US becomes truly competitive again. The same is true of DOGE. BY all means set up investigators and report to the nation how much waste and corruption there is. Then, with Congress onside–start hacking budgets.

The question is why the file about a pimp, a common criminal, would have any part of it classified. In other words, it’ll be a controlled release. After all, the POTUS has the authority to classify whatever he wants.

Bingo. Israel is why Trump was hiding it. Any legislation passed by Congress will be useless and meaningless. And yes they will control whatever is released to prevent the ties to Western Intel, for which Epstein was a middle manager

Intel is the enemy of mankind. They are a principal player in all drug and human trafficking worldwide. They instituted censorship on a grand sacale in the US under their Biden puppet and are doing so now in Europe, which makes Europe also our enemy

The most important thing Trump needed to do was destroy Western Intel, but my guess is he will fail.

Needless to say, today’s rabid feminists are against up in arms. It’s nearly in the same category as pedophile–just calling someone that is a death sentence–true or false. It is all about messaging.

Nowadays, we call ‘prostitution’ sex-trafficking–so it sounds worse. More messaging.

In a digital world Trump can’t do Nixon, so yes I agree with Mish, he will try to use it as a weapon. He will paint as much dirt on the Democrats as he can, by which the dirt on him will be diluted.

It is entirely possible that Epstein was a distraction, a shell game where you watch the shells while the real game is played in the next room.

The fix is in. Trump was notified all serious references to him and any pics or recordings in possession of any agency have been destroyed so ok to release now. Only Dems and some Repub enemies remain.
That or the qualifiers in the law will protect him. IMO there should be no question as to weather Trump was a best pal of Epstein and that he was a participant in the “fun”.

And you KNOW this how? Because ‘the media’ told you so. The potential for brain-washing via ‘Epstein’ is simply mind-boggling.

There is close-to-zero critical thinking going on. Just repetition of what someone saw/heard online–suddenly becomes unassailable fact. The few facts there are point to a couple of instances in the distant past.

Clinton will be on the list. He was a sexual deviate long before he became state governor–his academic record in Britain is PROOF. A Rhodes Scholar does NOT abandon his educational path without reason. As far as I know, only deviates use cigars as dildos.

Now, whether Bill enjoyed girls under 18 on Little St James, who knows.

Trump will simply continue to lie about the Epstein files and everything else he comments about…and a sizable percentage of his followers will simply shrug it off. Its still a loser of an issue for him and republicans in general. If Trump would fall out a window or something it would be so cosmically just.

If there is an active investigation of Clinton, will WJC be protected from public release of anything referencing him? Extrapolating to a “far out” degree, might he have consciously been doing Bill a favor in return for some quid pro quo? Or more likely, “Look over there, a squirrel.”

No matter what gets released I predict that many people (including people on this site) will claim that more was held back that would incriminate the person of their choice as a Pedo. In other words it’s dragged on so long that some segment is always going to be convinced not everything was released.

I’m glad he’s TACOing on this. Its definitely something that should have been released long ago for transparency reasons to the American public. Not just because of who might be on the list but also to see which people/agencies were potentially complicit in helping Epstein or covering up for him.

If there is an ongoing investigation, congress cannot make additional releases. The Democrats under investigation can subpoena records from the Epstein Estate as it is pretty obvious the Epstein Estate has documents nobody else has.

Go read Whitney Webb’s book “One Nation Under Blackmail”.

What will be released will be as laughable as the 911 Report and the Magic Bullet.

“…would require the Department of Justice to publicly release all unclassified documents…”

The main thing Trump wants to hide is that Epstein’s operation was blackmailing powerful people on behalf of Mossad. Classified documents and redactions will probably suffice to obscure that.

Trump kicked Epstein out of his club in 2007 in a humiliating way, which he couldn’t have done if he had any vulnerability to Epstein-Mossad honey traps. Some of Trump’s donors are possibly implicated.

Wrong! Releasing the files would have destroyed their blackmail value. It could “ruin” some old men but once released blackmail is no longer possible.

” Trump kicked Epstein out of his club in 2007 in a humiliating way, which he couldn’t have done if he had any vulnerability ”

My guess is a groundswell of low-level federal and state detectives and victims’ families complained about being stonewalled with fake claims of “national security” (when the stonewalling and protection of traitors is better called “national insecurity”), leading the culprits to offer up Epstein and Ghislaine as their concession/sacrifice. Thank the low guys on the totem pole for grumbling and doing whatever they did to exert political pressure against their bosses!!

As for the significance of 2007, Joe Isuzu Trump had a longtime relationship with Epstein, going back decades.

> in a humiliating way

I honestly don’t care to read about much of the Epstein case because it’s all so obvious once you’ve read enough about what goes on inside the sausage factories. But a little advice: If it seemed “humiliating”, it *might* mean it was a story meant “for public consumption” — IOW you.

When you read the WSJ headlines on this you how biased that paper is against Trump. Simply because Trump is mentioned by name in the emails, that is worse per the WSJ than the people actually having sex with underage girls.

Mossad and CIA told him to stifle it, and he’s been trying to follow orders. Now that it’s getting away from him, they’ll release some half-ass (or quarter-ass) abomination and call it The Epstein File. Anything reflecting poorly on “our greatest ally” will remain redacted or hidden entirely.

Tucker/Fuentes: Epstein whores transferred trillions to Israel. MI6: the Mossad killed Gigi pops and Epstein. The Mossad blackmailed Willie and Billie. Israel is our enemy. Cut Israel. Scott Ritter/Col MickyD: Israel is gone, it’s so sad. Tomorrow MBS might join the Avraham accord after supporting a ghost/ fake Palestinian state and get his F35. Trump bent Bibi will.

Netanyahu would probably like for the Ehud Barak portions of the files to be released, since there’s so much mutual acrimony. But I doubt even that will happen since Israel benefits so much from the American Evangelical Christians believing that Ehud Barak and all of the Israelis are the holiest and most righteous people ever. My guess is the release will be done in a way to where the dead guys like Stephen Hawking are exposed as dirty old men while Israel is the victim and the only truly good party in the whole affair, and Trump since he’s been a good little puppet regarding Iran.

Or, he has been in contact with the Federal Agencies that would be responsible for releasing the files and, ahem, encouraged them, ahem, to find a legal reason that the files can not be released, regardless of the House vote.

While that’s certainly possible, but they would be subject to a lot of legal activity surrounding the decision. I suspect that will not be the case, as it would achieve the exact opposite of what The Trump Administration is trying to accomplish, and that’s getting moving in a positive direction once again.

All the material to be used at the ensuing trials. If no trials are scheduled, then no evidence to convict was discovered. If that’s the case, then everything obtained Could/Should Be Released.
