Covid Passports in Israel and Huge Fines in Indonesia, Is the US Next?

Green Covid Passports in Israel

Please consider Israel’s Speedy Vaccination Campaign.

Israel lifted restrictions on most commerce and public activity, opening malls, markets and museums—and requiring the use of a pass to document vaccination status for some activities.

The opening up and use of what officials are calling green passports, which allow people to enter gyms and hotels and eventually embark on quarantine-free travel, set up a test for one of the most closely watched countries during the pandemic.

Officials are warning those who shun the national vaccination campaign that they will be shut out of everyday activities. “Anyone who does not get vaccinated will be left behind,” Israel’s health minister Yuli Edelstein said.

As thousands of people rushed to download the “green passport” documents, the website crashed Saturday night.

Get Vaccinated Or Else

The Wall Street Journal reports Declining a Covid-19 Vaccine Risks Penalties in Some Countries

  • Indonesia levied fines for refusing vaccination of around $356—or more than a month’s salary on average, according to the country’s per capita gross domestic product.
  • The European Union and Australian officials have considered travel restrictions for those without vaccination proof.
  • Brazil’s Supreme Court ruled those who reject a Covid-19 vaccine could be banned from certain public activities and spaces.
  • Less than half of South Koreans, or about 46%, are willing to be vaccinated right away, according to a poll by the Korea Society Opinion Institute released on Monday. South Korea has said those who skip will be booted to the back of the line.
  • The Vatican said it would explore alternative solutions for workers refusing to get Covid-19 vaccines, after getting blowback from a decree earlier this month that suggested employees could lose their jobs if they skipped inoculations.

Biden Wants Bigger Vaccination Numbers

In the US, Biden Aims for Bigger Vaccination Numbers as U.S. Vaccine Manufacturing Ramps Up.

It sounded so ambitious at first blush: 100 million vaccination shots in 100 days. Now, one month into his presidency, Joe Biden is on a glide path to attain that goal and pitching well beyond it to the far more ambitious and daunting mission of vaccinating all eligible adults against the coronavirus by the end of the summer.

“It’s one thing to have the vaccine, and it’s very different to get it in someone’s arms,” Biden said Friday as he toured Pfizer’s manufacturing plant in Portage, Michigan. The company is set to double its pace of vaccine deliveries in the coming weeks.

The daily inoculation average climbed to 1.7 million shots per day last week, but as many as double that number of doses are soon expected to be available on average each day. The focus of Biden’s team is now quickly shifting to ensuring those doses can get used, though the administration has resisted the calls of some health experts to publicly set a “moonshot” target for how many daily doses it hopes to deliver.

U.S. Death Toll Tops 500,000

Cumulative Deaths Per Million

US Mandates Coming Up?

In the sense of fines like Indonesia, probably not, at least nationally.

However, travel restrictions are another matter. And it is likely some states will require vaccinations for kids to go to school.

Employers may also require them.

Expect lawsuits.

Lawsuits wont work. It is a public health risk at the end of the day. You dont have go get any vaccine but it also means you cant really live a normal life.

How so? My life has been entirely normal so far. I just had a PCR test Monday for a minor surgery I have upcoming. Negative!

After a year of refusing to wear a mask outside and wearing masks sloppily inside, loose and below my nose, I have yet to contact Covid. And as previously mentioned, out of hundreds of people, I don’t know anyone who even got Covid. The only impact I have experienced is my gym has been closed for too many months.

If anything, it is all the people hiding behind their masks who are living their lives in fear every time they step out of their houses and likely increasing their blood pressure.

Like your very important personal experience should be our public health guideline.

Vaccines work best when we get nearly 100% compliance. That’s the real story. You need to take the vaccine to help protect everybody, not just yourself.

“Not quite Ron. Why should a persons personal choice impact another person the same as for passive smoking.”

Totalitarianism doesn’t offer a choice.

Passive smoking is irrelevant. HCQ, Ivermectin, vitamin D and other therapeutics can be used against Covid. Fauci never told people they should use vitamin D. It holds no interest to him as there is no money in it for the pharmaceutical industry, just as there isn’t for HCQ and Ivermectin.

Some people have had severe negative physical response to the shot. Should people be forced to risk their health or life on an experimental shot? Also, the long term effects of this shot are totally unknown. The effect could be like that of second hand smoke. An affliction that happens many years later.

I don’t see any possible way giving the vaccines to everyone will eliminate COVID. it will mutate, like every other cold virus, and the strains resistant to the vaccine will propagate and emerge next year. And so on. And the vaccines are not 100% effective, so many who get the vaccines will still get the current strain of COVID.

It may lessen the spread, but if the goal is to eliminate COVID. it will never happen.

As I replied to Doug above, the vaccine doesn’t stop you from getting Covid. it only reduces the possibility that you will become a serious case that needs to be hospitalized.

I’m actually not in favor of forcing people to be vaccinated. But it’s frustrating, knowing that’s what makes vaccines WORK….. for large populations…it’s all about achieving near universal levels of vaccination. It makes al the difference.

There are no real FEMA camps, btw.

Not sure where you get the Covid vaccine “works”. The CDC advice to people who have gotten the vaccine is the same for people who have not. The Mayo clinic web site uses wishy-washy phrases like it “may” help prevent you from getting sick, or “may” make you less sick if you do get Covid, etc…; my luck rabbit’s foot may also help. On top of that, the number of injuries from this vaccine in the government’s vaccine injury database is non-trivial and dwarfs any other current vaccine. Given I’m healthy and very likely to have already been exposed to Covid with no ill effects, why on earth would I voluntarily have an experimental (not FDA approved) vaccine injected into me?

JoJo’s Circus…The series is set in Circus Town, a self-sufficient city whose cultural center is the “Big Top” tent. The story focuses on JoJo Tickle, a 6 year old girl clown, and Goliath, JoJo’s pet lion. She and Goliath learned at the Little Big Top Circus School, where all young soon-to-be circus performers learn under their teacher Mrs. Kersplatski. Along with her friends, JoJo explores and learns while dealing with challenging situations.

Assuming hurdles are met. The question is how can we not do this?

Is it a passport or simply an ap that provides book keeping for each countries rules and regulations? Looking at this as a passport is the wrong paradigm. Each country sets their rules and procedures. The ap simply is a convenient way to manage that process. Each country and airline is deciding its own rule here. But for safety knowing your fellow passengers have been testing and/or vaccinated and are wearing a mask can only increase confidence. I don’t see how the airline industry revives without it

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says it expects its digital Covid Travel Pass will be ready “within weeks”.

The pass is an app that verifies a passenger has had the Covid-19 tests or vaccines required to enter a country.

It also verifies they were administered by an approved authority.

What is left to talk about Covid that hasn’t already been hashed to death before? I will get the vaccine when I can get it then I will be immune. Those who don’t get run a risk that I will not have. If enough are vaccinated the pandemics stops although local epidemics of Covid will continue. It may mutate but that is true of all the nasty viruses and bacteria out there too. Passports are interesting if they really are like passports in that they are almost impossible to fake otherwise they will be faked. It would give a false sense of security but for tourist areas passports would jumpstart tourism. Having to show that you have been vaccinated against one disease or the other before visiting certain countries is not new and there is no need to give it a mysterious wrapper as “passport” to give it silverbulletness. Just say to visit here whatever here is you have to this vaccination. Last of all every vaccine can produce bad effects in a certain number of people. The RNA vaccines have a very low number of side effects. Nevertheless in some people it can result is extreme reactions and we have to recognize that some people will avoid being vaccinated because of it. It’s not rational but being afraid to take a plane in not rational either but there are a lot of smart rational people who don’t take airplanes because of this fear. When everyone who wants the vaccine has it then only those who don’t want it are at risk. It is a choice. It’s a nasty disease no doubt but Covid is not Smallpox not the Bubonic Plague and is nowhere near. It is not necessary to treat it so.

No, you will not make you “immune”. All the vaccine purportedly does is reduce the potential seriousness of any illness that you “may” experience when/if you get Covid-19. Many do not understand this, as you post testifies to.

No, as usual it is you who do not understand. The truth is that not enough data has been collected (yet) to demonstrate whether the vaccines give immunity, and if so, at what levels. We will know, and probably within 90 days now.

It should be fairly easy in the US to opt out for all kinds of reasons (health, religious etc) without needing lawsuits should it ever come to mandatory vaccination. I think it would cause massive unrest if it was ever attempted here.

The positive covid rates are falling dramatically right now because the CoV-2 Cycle test was changed making fewer positive results. So a fair amount of the lower rates are because things that were positive are no longer considered positive.

Jojo
Jojo

Reply to  TexasTim65

The reason they dropped the cycle threshold to reduce the positive cases is that the overall goal has been achieved – get rid of Trump.

The numbers in this whole Covid mess are so relatively minimal that there has/had to be a reason why many politicians, health officers and the MSM worked so hard to make a minor illness look like something major.

500k deaths? But how many were actually FROM Covid-19? What happened to all the flu deaths we get each year? I’ve seen all kinds of comparisons used to make the 500k number seem larger than it is in comparison to the total population. Just today I saw that 500k deaths was more than three different wars combined! Really? So what? What is the connection there? If we don’t go to war, Covid will disappear? The reality is that 500k deaths is under 0.2% of the population! A “nothingburger”!

Then there was the ever growing positivity count determined primarily from over-cycled PCR tests that weren’t itself wasn’t designed to be used to diagnose Covid in the first place, per the CDC and other medical authorities. Dead virus fragments are meaningless. You can’t even claim that dead fragments may be a factor in the mythical asymptomatic transmission, something that has yet to be lab proven.

And let’s not forget the “highly contagious” claim either. Many people don’t know even one person who had Covid, let alone was hospitalized or died from it, yet the MSM works hard to drill this claim into the zeitgeist every day.

So with these two “enhanced’ metrics, TPTB & the MSM had free reign to beat the drum of Covid-19 scaremongering day after day after day such that many people are afraid to remove their [useless] masks even in their own cars!

So, was this all constructed to really get rid of Trump? Or is there something in that vaccine they really, really, really want to get into people’s bodies?

Look at “excess deaths”. That’s deaths – as in someone croaked by any means. The US has death counts by states going back to 1900 or so, at least.

Unless you believe there have been a lot of extra deaths because of the Covid response (lockdowns, masks, etc.), it’s pretty clear that Covid has killed a lot of people.

A quick eyeball guesstimate looking at the CDC excess death graph says something between 200,000 and 400,000. Eyeballing a hair more carefully by filling the valleys with the April and December peaks: It looks like 5,000 to 10,000 a week starting April 1st, 2020 going to now.

Download the spreadsheet, sum ’em up, and let us know the result.

You’re missing the point. Don’t get lost in the weeds.

I am not saying that people didn’t die. What I am saying is that the dead count was enhanced by misclassification of deaths and that closing down economies for over a year in response to whatever sickness has killed a relatively few people was out of proportion to the danger.

Which economies were really closed? I’m in the South and there were practically no real closures by the government after the early weeks. People’s fear led to the closures, not the government. We stopped going to the movies and to restaurants… but they’ve been mostly open most of the time. Even churches that would normally be packed on Sunday aren’t any longer. They’re open but the people don’t show up. The government in most places isn’t the cause of the madness. The virus, and the fear of it, is. Solve the virus or solve the fear but don’t blame the government. At least not down here.

German Study: Laboratory Accident Most Likely Cause of Coronavirus Pandemic
Professor Roland Wiesendanger (University of Hamburg / S.E.)
Published: February 18, 2021

Professor Dr. Roland Wiesendanger, a leading German nanotechnology expert and three-time recipient of the prestigious European Research Council Advanced Grant, has completed a one-year, hundred-page study on the origin of the novel coronavirus, Sars-Cov-2. Professor Wiesendanger concludes that “both the number and quality of the circumstantial evidence point to a laboratory accident at the virological institute in the city of Wuhan as the cause of the current pandemic.”

In the following, SPR provides an English translation of the official German press release of the University of Hamburg.

Has anyone anywhere outlined what the wider aim of vaccination is ? Is the idea herd immunity within countries so that those not vaccinated are allowed out eventually without being a possible burden to the country ? It’s quite new that, getting people who don’t comply with restrictions or with vaccination mandate being considered a burden or menace. Those vaccinated are not going to fear the unvaccinated surely, so really it is just to spare a country having to care for those infected ? That doesn’t set a very constructive relationship, where the state basically has the population view itself as a burden.

I suppose the quest might be global eradication of the virus, but where is the project plan for this, in fact any clear objective that can be scrutinised and challenged, or to which anyone can be held to account ? If vaccines aren’t 100% (they aren’t ) , or if there are part populations that are not vaccinated, or if immunity does not last or new strains constantly emerge, or if virus samples are re-released on purpose by any number of people who might have collected them, then the virus will remain. So this becomes a series of possibly endless national pursuits to erase the virus within any particular country and justify all measures to keep immunity high and possible transmission low.

People who don’t agree with being vaccinated will generally accept watching others getting vaccinated because the more immunity the less virus around, because eventually restrictions on the non-vaccinated should be lifted due to that. Selfish anti-vac crowd having everyone else vaccinated for their own good while keeping the virus in circulation ? There is lots of room for different sets of people to be played off against each other, for government to find support for further increased enforcement. In Spain they will keep a list of those who refuse vaccination, they say it will be kept private and only shared with EU . So there is new definition of privacy out of it also – information a whole bureaucracy holds on a person.

Heeere’s Johhhhny ….

Anda

Reply to  njbr

So why call it private ? Actually europe is not like the US, but depending on country. Even in the US you would baulk if your position regarding vaccination was openly shared with other countries, I think. We are talking of a person’s political opinions after all, not the colour of their vehicle, if only because vaccination is a policy as far as government is concerned . No point being smug because of being “on the right side”, because sides change and equally you find a bureaucracy hostile to your position bearing down on you…and watch how fast you would change your tune. You’re up for 60 000 dollars to stand by your view right… or if you had that much you’d leave your country behind maybe to save your but ? That is the top tier of a new law against refusing vaccination in Galicia, if they decide at any point vaccination is obligatory and depending on the severity of the circumstance (as in seriousness of an epidemic).

It isn’t only that, it sets up a whole new relationship between authority and the individual, a completely one sided one. By enacting these laws it is done, that is to say that people now live under, and by non revolt are deemed to accept, this framework.
