Germany Seeks Migrant “Coalition of the Willing” Repeating Merkel’s 2015 Mistake

Please consider German FM Maas Calls for EU Migrant Redistribution Coalition.

Germany should promote a “coalition of the willing” among European Union countries that are prepared to accept refugees saved in the Mediterranean Sea, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said Saturday.

“We must now move forward with those member states that are ready to receive refugees — all others remain invited to participate,” he told the RND media group.

Germany would be willing to make a substantial contribution to the alliance and accept a set share of refugees as part of a “binding” redistribution system, he added. Maas, a Social Democrat, said that disputes between EU countries about redistributing refugees “must no longer” impede an agreement on saving migrants from drowning in the Mediterranean. “This blockade must finally come to an end,” he said.

Maas’s proposal was immediately rejected by Austria’s former chancellor, Sebastian Kurz. Kurz, whose conservative People’s Party is the frontrunner to win Austria’s parliamentary vote in September, dubbed the common refugee policy a failure, adding that all Mediterranean migrants should be sent back to their home countries.

“The distribution of migrants in Europe has failed,” Kurz said on Saturday. “We are once again discussing ideas from 2015 that have long proved impractical.”

Puking on More Europe

Hello foreign minister.

Please consider the idea that the EU is puking on both more migration and more Europe.

Germany Brandenburg Polls

Excuse me for pointing out that the anti-immigration, anti-Euro AfD party is currently poised to win the Brandenburg Election on September 1.

Not Just One Poll

Polls are just that. And while I freely admit 21% is not a majority, I would also point out that FDP and much of CDU is against “more Europe”, especially more immigration.

Merkel Supports More Immigration

On May 15, 2019 The Local reported ‘Germany’s Future Depends on Immigration and Integration’: Merkel

If you “depend” on low-skill immigration, what the hell does that say about your current population?

Yeah, let’s welcome millions of unskilled migrants, give them free money, free housing, free this, and free that while they do not speak German and have no desire to ever speak German.

Merkel’s government “grand coalition” damn near collapsed over immigration.

How is SPD Doing?

I ask “How is SPD doing” because Merkel’s foreign minister Maas is a member of SPD.

Merkel Effect

Some of the demise of SPD is simply the “Merkel Effect”.

The country is clearly sick of Merkel. And because of SPD’s affiliation with Merkel, support for SPD has plunged like a rock thrown from the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Greens are pro-immigration but look closely.

The collapse of CDU is an anti-Merkel effect. And most of the demise of SPD corresponds to the rise of AfD, not the rise of the Greens.

The other day i came across a story about actor Richard Gere, who was on a boat with a group of migrants from Africa. I think he was wanting Italy to take them in. A person responding to the story said that Gere should take them in to one of his villas.

Just like the celebrities that fly to “climate change summits” in their private jets, the consequences of their policies is to be borne by someone else.

The consequences of all of this immigration won’t be recognized for decades. Maybe three of four, who knows what the world will look like by then. In all likelihood productivity is so high that welfare systems will be supporting the indigenous population anyways, in which case the immigration won’t be such a big deal. An opposite outcome could be the automation of service level jobs, rendering the immigrants worthless in struggling EU economies, straining the political and social environments.

Once anyone in the EU has a passport they can live anywhere. All countries will be impacted like it or not. Therefore all immigration issues should go through the EU Parliament to vote upon.

Unilateral German actions should be vetted by all other States and need a mandate.
More EU dysfunction on show.

Strictly speaking, that only applies to the Schengen zone. But since the UK is the only non-Schengen zone member of the EU, I agree that it’s true in reality.

Of course, these migrants don’t have EU passports (or generally any other passports, having ditched them to prevent their being deported), and again strictly speaking, should only be allowed under international law to request asylum (if qualified, which almost none of them are) in the first safe country they enter. For almost none of them does that mean Germany. But again, Germany ignores any international or EU laws it feels like, and has been handing out passports like candy.

What is the point of laws (or international treaties) when NOBODY obeys them?

Being anti-Racist is modern religion, especially among elites who have no day-to-day experience of the people coming in — it’s just a concept. But it highlights how out of touch a lot of the elite is. It’s hard to state numbers because 80% of the population feel compelled to kow-tow to political correctness, and there’s some genuine sentimentality (is such a thing exists) about the plight of the unfortunates (those fortunate to be featured by the media), but increasingly large swathes (> ½) of the population WOULD RATHER NOT SEE ANY MORE (non-EUROPEAN) IMMIGRANTS.

You meant it good, but made a logical error: those who claim Africa cannot take care of her problems and Europe is somehow morally superior, are the racists. Those who trust Africa to take care of her own population problem, are the anti-racist.

For cheap labor, it would be easier to just bomb some more browned skinned nations. Obama/Hillary regime changed so many brown skinned nations it produced “the greatest humanitarian refugee crisis since WW2” (United Nations). That Nobel “Peace” prize paid off.

Their policies worked exactly as planned.

And the European poodles obediently asked for more. No wonder Putin realized it was a waste of time “negotiating” with Europe…they aren’t free and only take orders from The Empire, even if means their own political suicide.

I wonder where Venezuelans will go if Trump succeeds in regime change there? A few million more cheap laborers to the U.S. won’t be popular with his base.

Maas?

Never heard of him. But I bet a $1 on who is pulling his strings.

Wherever there is a globalist agenda … a George Soros can’t be far away.
