Edward Abbey’s mortal remains are supposed to be out there somewhere in a secret spot that only he and a few friends knew about. I’m a fan of Abbey, who was a park ranger in Arches National Park for a few years, about the time we were born. He wanted to be buried in his sleeping bag.

You might like his book Desert Solitaire, if you haven’t read it. That’s his more “serious” work...his magnum opus....although the Monkeywrench Gang is better known.

1866 was a bad year for a lot of people.....so sad to read about frontier kids who died because their swing broke, or got diphtheria...another “ usual childhood illness “ we’ve pretty much eradicated with vaccinations.

Worth moving out west for the photography alone.

Even when people think talking to themselves is odd, they will have verbal and imagined conversations in their head throughout the day. https://mythdhr.vip/

Nice photos, thanks for sharing. By the 1960s, Grafton Cemetery had limited free burial space. Groups of West Virginia veterans began lobbying for the construction of a new national cemetery after a 1975 study found that the limited remaining space in Grafton was too steep or expensive to use. Grafton National Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 2, 1982. Apart from two cemeteries. Grafton hosts the longest-running annual Memorial Day celebration in the country, first decorating soldiers' graves in 1867. I gathered this information from educational videos on Instagram, in which the authors talk about the historical places of America. I found quite a few of these videos there and noticed that they mostly had about 12 thousand views! I am sure this is because their authors used the services of https://soclikes.com/buy-instagram-live-video-views to cheat their number.
