“I inherit nothing from the Democratic Party,” said Hillary during a question and answer session at Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California on Wednesday. “I mean, it was bankrupt. It was on the verge of insolvency. Its data was mediocre to poor, nonexistent, wrong,” she recalled. “I had to inject money into it.”
Hillary Blames Russia
“The Russians in my opinion, and based on the intel and counterintel people I’ve talked to, could not have known how best to weaponize that information unless they had been guided,” she said. “Guided by Americans and guided by people who had polling and data information.”
Hillary Blames Media
Hillary moans Media Covered Email Server Scandal ‘Like it was Pearl Harbor’.
Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton lambasted the media’s coverage of her use of a private email server as secretary of State, arguing Wednesday that she did nothing wrong and charging that the media’s fixation on the matter allowed Republicans to effectively exploit it.
Speaking at an event with the technology website Recode, Clinton argued that most people viewed the issue as “the biggest nothing-burger ever.” While she said that it was a “mistake” that she wishes she could take back, she ultimately defended the decision she made at the time.
“There was no law against it, no rule against it, nothing of that sort. I didn’t break any rule. Nobody said, ‘Don’t do this.’ I was very responsible and not at all careless.”
Excuse me for pointing out she did break rules, she was not responsible, she was careless, and she obstructed justice in coverups.
Clinton Blames FBI Director Comey
Clinton accused Republicans of using the email server “very effectively for adverse political reasons,” lamenting Comey’s decision to effectively reopen the investigation in the final days of the race before later announcing that he found nothing new in freshly obtained emails. And noting that Recode had interviewed New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet on the same stage on Tuesday, she criticized the paper’s handling of the situation. “They covered it like it was Pearl Harbor,” she said.
Nixon Moment Needed
Dear Hillary, please shut up. The world could use some silence. I strongly suggest you issue a one-liner to the effect “The world doesn’t have Hillary Clinton to kick around anymore.”
After Richard Nixon lost to Pat Brown in the 1962 California Gubernatorial election, Nixon lashed out at the media and issued this famous statement “you don’t have Nixon to kick around anymore, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference.”
Here’s an irony I just uncovered while looking up the above statement.
No Trump to Kick Around
On October 21, 2016, CNN proposed this headline “You won’t have Trump to kick around anymore”
The details of Nixon’s concession speech in the above report are amusing.
In the 1962 gubernatorial race, Nixon finally went to sleep at about 4 a.m. He didn’t wake up to good news. When told by his advisors that reporters had been waiting to hear from him, he responded, “Screw them.” When Press Secretary Herbert Klein said that everyone expected to hear the traditional concession statement, Nixon repeated himself: “Screw them.”
In a bizarre press conference, Klein appeared before the media at 10 a.m. to inform them that Nixon had left the building and would not appear. Instead he read from the concession telegram Nixon sent the governor. About ten minutes into his appearance, Nixon surprised everyone by stepping in front of the microphones. Looking haggard and angry, Nixon explained that, “Now that Mr. Klein has made his statement, and now that all the members of the press are so delighted that I have lost, I’d like to make a statement of my own.”
He spent his time with the media blasting the kind of coverage that he received and complaining that the “Cuban thing,” meaning the Cuban Missile Crisis, prevented him from getting his message across in a critical few weeks. He targeted the press, saying that throughout his public career, journalists had always been biased against him.
Nixon famously concluded by saying: “I leave you gentlemen now and you will write it. You will interpret it. That’s your right. But as I leave you I want you to know — just think how much you’re going to be missing. You won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference. And I hope that what I have said today will at least make television, radio, the press recognize that they have a right and a responsibility — if they are against a candidate, give him the shaft, but also recognize if they give him the shaft, put one lonely reporter on the campaign who will report what the candidate says now and then.”

The CNN article concluded …
It is easy to imagine that if Hillary Clinton is victorious we might see something resembling Nixon’s bitter words in November. Trump might very well concede, but it is doubtful that he would not emphasize how unfair he believed the entire process to have been. Like Nixon, Trump is a figure who feels the need to justify his defeats and to put blame on others for his own difficulties.
Dear Hillary, in the likely event you will never shut up, how about a little humility and honesty?
