The Hill posted these LeBron James Comments.
“No matter your race, no matter your skin color, no matter where you’re from, everybody should have an equal opportunity, equal rights, be able to voice their opinion, be able to stand for something. Especially right now being in Washington, D.C., I wanted to try to make another statement here,” James said after the game when asked about the shoes.
During a locker room interview, James told reporters, “I think we all have to understand that having equal rights and being able to stand for something, speak for something, keep the conversation going.”

The Message
When I first saw the shoes, I expected a rant rant about minimum wages or how much corporate executives make vs employees.
Instead, James stated the case beautifully. ““No matter your race, no matter your skin color, no matter where you’re from, everybody should have an equal opportunity, equal rights, be able to voice their opinion, be able to stand for something.“
Bingo. Well stated.
Mike “Mish” Shedlock
Equality is equality of opportunity, not equality of achievements. We have the first, and hopefully will never have the latter.
I think those are George Soros shoes, n’est pas ?
I want to have a salary equal to that of Mr. James.
“…everybody should have an equal opportunity, equal rights, be able to voice their opinion, be able to stand for something.” All good… no problems there… full agreement. it’s when folks start demanding equal outcomes that i have a problem. the US is the most equal/equitable country on the planet. is there room for improvement? of course, but it’s hardly apartheid conditions that many media/leftists believe it is… quite the opposite, actually.
Where were these shoes when white people were being assaulted in Missouri during the riots?
Agree. I am pleased and refreshed to learn what the statement means to James. At first glance, I was prepared to point out to him that he and I don’t have equal dunking skills, nor, for that matter equal shot blocking skills. If I were feeling snarky, I would would have asked whether he should be injured by the government to equalize our basketball skills. Fortunately, when I read his quote I found that his concept of equality is a subset of mine.
The basis of leftism is ENVY. And hence the demand for equality everywhere.
From this comes the hatred, of the West, of Whites, of men, of anything that denies ‘equality’
Socialism: a system in which everyone is enslaved to everyone. No majority can vote away a man’s life and property
With ‘Diversity™’: Freedom now means forced association, liberty = serving the welfare state, ‘equality’ means the higher subsidize the lower so the illusion of cooperation is achieved. We’re all in this ‘together’ = (hands up-open your wallet)– OR ELSE
No more. Diversity = White Genocide. Its a crime.
“I don’t have a problem with the message except that it implies there isn’t equality.” EXACTLY! It’s not 1955 any longer.
“I don’t have a problem with the message except that it implies there isn’t equality.’
Yeah his message is fine. I hope he agrees ALL Lives Matter. He should open his mouth and take a stand where inequality exists (in his opinion).
As long as “equality” means I, and LeBron, have the same access to the nukes our taxes help pay for as Trump does, fine. Otherwise, all the dimbulb is really saying is “Hey everybody, look at me! I can be a stupid, well indoctrinated, tax feeder apologist, progressive drone, too!!!!”
eqality – All about inequality, so if i am a white male employer, I have less equality to distribute to my employees. Stock holders should fire anybody at the board table that tried to incorporate any PC messages into their product. Hint: Haven’t been to Starbucks in years and never will.
Good statement indeed. So please stop racial quotas and affirmative action. At least limit the latter to instances where candidates have equal merit.
Yawn. Nothing there is cutting edge or out of the box. Captain Obvious comes to mind.
I think we have another athlete who doesn’t have enough of the limelight in his mind or thinks he’s has unique moralistic insights that the rest of us haven’t discovered yet.
It’s a far cry from the “Roselle” headband that Jim McMahon wore
I have no issue with Mr. James statement but would prefer athletes stick to sports. I don’t watch them to learn of their political/social views.
I don’t have a problem with the message except that it implies there isn’t equality.
