Yahoo News reports Women in ICE Detention Centers Were Reportedly Given Hysterectomies Without Informed Consent

Following some devastating revelations from a nurse-turned-whistleblower at a Georgia immigrant detention center (as shared with the Intercept earlier this week) about concerns over medical practices at the center during the global pandemic, the full complaint obtained by SheKnows provides a grim closer look into the practices putting immigrants detained in the Irwin County Detention Center (ICDC) — operated by private prison company LaSalle Corrections — at risk and allegedly irreparably harming their health and reproductive freedom.

Through on-the-record insights from Dawn Wooten, the licensed practical nurse employed by ICDC and protected whistleblower quoted throughout the complaint, and interviews with detained women, the complaint shares reports of a lack of clear informed consent before procedures are performed and numerous women undergoing traumatic, lasting changes to their reproductive health. The complaint was filed by Project South, Georgia Detention Watch, Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights and South Georgia Immigrant Support Network on Monday, September 14.

Everybody [the gynecologist] sees has a hysterectomy — just about everybody. He’s even taken out the wrong ovary on a young lady [detained immigrant woman]. She was supposed to get her left ovary removed because it had a cyst on the left ovary; he took out the right one.

He’s the uterus collector,” Wooten said in the complaint. “I know that’s ugly…is he collecting these things or something? Everybody he sees, he’s taking all their uteruses out or he’s taken their tubes out. What in the world.”

An easy and elegant solution to all of this. Close the Asylum Program down. Retain it for high profile political figures who are being persecuted as it was originally created for. The Age of Immigration is finished whether Biden wins or not.

Reminder to the right wingers here that it is not illegal for people to cross into the US to request asylum.

“The Immigration and Nationality Act (‘INA’) authorizes the Attorney General to grant asylum if an alien is unable or unwilling to return to her country of origin because she has suffered past persecution or has a well-founded fear of future persecution on account of ‘race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.’”[1] The United States framework on migration is securitization, focusing on the safety of citizens.[14] This results in strict U.S. policies and laws surrounding immigration and asylum.

The United States is obliged to recognize valid claims for asylum under the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol. As defined by these agreements, a refugee is a person who is outside their country of nationality (or place of habitual residence if stateless) who, owing to a fear of persecution on account of a protected ground, is unable or unwilling to avail himself of the protection of the state. Protected grounds include race, nationality, religion, political opinion and membership of a particular social group. The signatories to these agreements are further obliged not to return or “refoul” refugees to the place where they would face persecution.

These are PEOPLE WITH RIGHTS.

Asylum is another scam to enter the United States and then bring your whole clan along later on. Asylum originally was for high profile political figures under political persecution in their homeland. At best, these are individuals leaving for better economic prospects and benefits in the U.S. at worst, they are family members of Central American Gangs. Unless you want a million Central Americans and other boat people crossing open borders, under Biden you best rethink your opinion.

You mean like Melania’s mom and dad and brothers and sisters? She brought over half of Croatia. You want our immigration laws to change then run for office and change them, till then they are the law. And by the way my father was an immigrant, just a nice English speaking one from a 100% white country. So he is okay right?

According to Geneva Convention asylum application NEEDS to be taken at the border or inside the country ONLY when the person comes DIRECTLY from the country they are persecuted in.

So USA should NOT take even ONE asylum application from people that come through Mexico and instead USA should return ALL of them to Mexico without even taking their asylum application and tell them to make their asylum application in Mexico which is a signatory to Geneva Convention and has an asylum processing system.

USA can decide to start this policy ANY DAY according to US law.
The Attorney General just has to read US law on the issue that I specified in my first comment and then read Geneva Convention and ORDER that asylum applications are NO longer taken at the border or inside USA and order that all ILLEGAL immigrants coming thru Mexico to US border or inside USA to leave an asylum application are REMOVED from USA and returned to Mexico.

Yes? I wonder if you would be saying this if it were a white woman from Bruges that was forcibly sterilized in some camp over the border in Germany.

Does everyone realize these immigrants are detained waiting for entry into the US? They can leave and go home at anytime if they don’t have pending charges.

THEY CHOOSE TO STAY. They get healthcare, food, and shelter with the right to go home at anytime. For free.

I don’t get that. I just pay in.

It’s funny. Was watching the BBC America news Monday evening. They had a story about the big fire on the Greek island of Lesbos where all the illegal immigrants were being held for potential processing before being let in to the EU.

The fire is suspected arson. Apparently, some idiots thought that if they burned the camp, they might get passage into the EU as they were tired of waiting. Instead the Greek authorities are building another camp for them.

Seems a lot of Afghans in the camp and some were refusing to move from the burned out camp. They were tired of waiting in the camp they had arrived at illegally and were now “demanding” that they be allowed to resettle somewhere in the EU because they were unhappy with the living conditions in Afghanistan.

Sound similar to what you write. Whew.

Even if they choose to stay, it’s unethical to sterilize them without consent. Many people believe america is the “only option” to escape whatever they are escaping. America encourages this by letting them in and using them as cheap under the table labor. It’s unethical to begin with. But now to sterilize them, seemingly to fix the “anchor baby” problem, is deeply wrong. Just because you have power over these people (they want to live in america and are willing to go through anything to get it) doesn’t mean you get to do anything you want.

No one will say sterilizing them is right in anyway shape or form. But most of these women will have had endometriosis or some other painful condition that requires medical intervention. They wouldn’t have gotten that in most of the counties they are leaving.

One crazy doctor gets a story painted as some systematic sterilization of illegal immigrants. The sooner people realize our news/social media system is build on a capitalistic backbone the better. I don’t believe anything I read on the internet anymore.

The point is Trump could tell Attorney General William Barr to issue a order to which AG is entitled WITHOUT JUDICIAL REVIEW (without Democrat president nominated judges or any judges getting involved) under 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention for all US authorities to STOP taking asylum applications from people coming thru Mexico and wanting to leave an asylum application and ORDER them all REMOVED from USA and returned to a “safe third country” Mexico that is a signatory to Geneva Convention and where they can leave an asylum application for Mexican authorities to get asylum in Mexico if they believe they are persecuted in Guatemala or wherever they came from an if Mexico’s government agrees and gives them asylum under the Geneva convention.

All the inhumane policies inside USA are NEEDLESS and ILLEGAL immigration and abuse of US asylum system can be STOPPED COMPLETELY with one page order from Attorney General under 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention.

USA does NOT have to take even ONE asylum application from people coming to USA through Mexico.

Trying to defend an atrocity like this, last seen in Nazi Germany in the 30’s…. Really, you need to think about why you hate these people so much that you are willing to allow your morality to slip so far. And numbers have nothing to do with it, if even one woman was sterilized without proper informed consent you are going to be paying her a lot more because she will sue and get millions. PEOPLE HAVE RIGHTS! Not just affluent white people in America and the EU. I have to ask, what the fuck is wrong with republicans that they can justify this evil in their own heads then think it is okay to defend in public?

Come out with your baby and no ovaries. Go in for appendectomy, come out with no appendix and no uterus. Oh, the government of this country is harsh on Natives and has been for 500+ years. One of the few comments here indicating a modicum of critical thinking.
When a subject and/or a situation are particularly incendiary (emotionally, politically etc), extra care is not only justified, it is critical.

There are any number of explanations. Jumping on any one of them without finding out the facts is indicative of a closed mind. A little research on the whistleblower’s experience at this facility is quite revealing. Without the doctor’s name, any research there is limited. The operator, La Salle, sounds like a nightmare. After reading the reviews, my impression is the whistleblower is not much of a whistleblower. FRankly, I am surprised they aren’t selling body parts.

There are at least two stories here:

  1. A nurse has claimed a doctor did hysterectomies that should not have been done and/or to women who were not sufficiently clued in as to what was being done.

  2. ICE, the organization, is nationally and by policy, forcing or tricking women in to hysterectomies.

One is in the body copy. The other is in the headline.

Maybe some good will come of the snake oil selling that permeates the news media in all corners. Hey, maybe we’ll get herd immunity to it.

If this is happening this is totally wrong.
Why are these women even allowed into USA and then treated so badly?

1.
Mexico is a SAFE enough country and has an asylum system that could process EVERY Guatemalan, Honduran, Nicaraguan, El Salvadoran etc. coming from South America to USA through Mexico and give them either asylum in Mexico or send them back to their home countries if they do not have a legitimate basis to get asylum.
Mexico could also give asylum to all Pakistanis and Bangladeshis that have in recent years started flying to Mexico or some other South American country and then coming to USA or send them back home if they have NO legitimate basis for asylum.

2.
Mexico like USA is signatory to Geneva Convention on Refugees which EXPLICITLY states that asylum applications NEED to be taken ONLY when the asylum seeker comes to the border or inside the country DIRECTLY from the country they are persecuted in so USA could and should RETURN immediately all South Americans coming through Mexico to USA to Mexico either by stopping them at the border, refusing to take asylum application at border crossings or sending them back to Mexico immediately if they are caught inside USA.
Geneva convention is a MULTILATERAL agreement/treaty.

3.
According to current US law 8 U.S. Code § 1158 USA’s Attorney General can WITHOUT JUDICIAL REVIEW (aka without the courts getting involved) decide that USA stops accepting asylum applications from people coming to USA through a “safe third country” (Mexico) and people who try to make an asylum application in USA are just “removed” from USA and returned to the “safe third country” (Mexico) pursuant to “bilateral or multilateral agreement” (Geneva convention is a multilateral agreement).

So Barr or Trump’s previous AG’s Sessions or Whitaker could have under US law STOPPED accepting asylum applications and sent everyone back to Mexico so the whole rush to USA would have stopped and there would be no human smuggling business to USA through Mexico and there would be no ILLEGAL immigrants dying in the deserts when they run out of water and get lost and there would be no robberies and assaults and rapes and murders of the people trying to reach USA through Mexico inside Mexico by criminals since 99% would stay in their home countries if they heard USA is returning people to Mexico immediately and there would be no inhumane practices like described by Mish and the news articles and tweets Mish quoted inside USA.

ILLEGAL immigrants are abusing the asylum process to get inside USA if they are caught when crossing the border and get legal status to work until they have their asylum hearing years later which 90%+ never shop up for (and in which 90%+ are rejected) and instead they continue living illegally in USA using the Sanctuary cities and states run by Democrats as places to live and work.

Trump could have STOPPED all this if Trump or anybody working for Trump would bother to read the Geneva Convention and 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and Trump would have instructed his Attorney General to decide WITHOUT JUDICIAL REVIEW and according to 8 U.S. Code § 1158 that from now on everybody trying to ask for asylum when caught inside USA is “removed” from USA and returned to a SAFE enough “safe third country” Mexico and told to make their asylum application there per the multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention that EXPLICITLY states that asylum applications NEED to be taken ONLY when people are coming DIRECTLY from a country where they are persecuted and NO asylum applications are taken at border crossings from now on.

Instead Trump has tried anything else from allowing AG Sessions to super-charge the “children in cages” policy started by Obama and separating children from their families like Sessions proposed until Trump was forced to sign an executive order to stop this policy few years back after media and Ivanka complained to Trump talking and tweeting tough words without no action despite Trump and his AG having total authority in current US law and Geneva Convention to stop accepting asylum applications and “remove” everyone to SAFE enough “safe third country” Mexico.

Trump could have even demanded as part of USMCA negotiations that Mexico sign a similar bilateral deal with USA than USA has with Canada where the first country ILLEGAL immigrants/asylum seekers enter is responsible for processing their asylum application and dealing with them so everyone could be returned to Mexico instead of subjecting them to inhumane treatment in USA as a way to be “tough”.
Instead Trump asked and got some Mexican troops to Mexico’s southern border trying to stop people there and a few thousand Mexican soldiers to Mexico’s northern border trying to stop people just before they reach USA.

Despite NOT making that bilateral agreement similar to the one USA has with Canada as part of USMCA negotiations Trump still could start returning EVERYONE to Mexico that comes through Mexico to ask for asylum in USA just based on 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called the Geneva Convention but apparently Trump and all of his staff are totally clueless and have no clue that in CURRENT US LAW is a way to stop the rush of ILLEGAL immigrants/asylum seekers (IF the AG just gives the order based on 8 U.S. Code § 1158) 90%+ which are just abusing the system to come to USA as ILLEGAL immigrant economic migrants looking for low wage jobs and stealing jobs from Americans and lowering/stagnating wages for US working class for decades by now.

It is like Trump does NOT want to solve the problems he just wants to appear as “tough” and appalling inhuman treatment of people is part of that toughness.

Joe Biden is even WORSE in that he has promised AMNESTY and US citizenship to all ILLEGAL immigrants in USA currently and there are 29.5 million ILLEGAL immigrants in USA currently according to a MIT-Yale study from 2018 and if these all get US citizenship like Joe Biden has promised then USA will have tens of millions new ILLEGAL immigrants within a few years hoping to get into this amnesty or wait for the next one just like Reagan’s 1986 amnesty for 5+ million ILLEGAL immigrants attracted the 29.5 million ILLEGAL immigrants that USA currently has and many of those 5+ million Reagan gave an amnesty came AFTER that Amnesty’s cut-off date but just CLAIMED to have been in USA longer to qualify for that amnesty and the same phenomenon will happen all over again if Joe Biden is elected president and gives the amnesty and US citizenship to all current ILLEGAL immigrants like he has already promised to do if he is elected president.
The amnesty Joe Biden has promised will cause the tens of millions new ILLEGAL immigrants coming after that to further lower/stagnate American working class wages and steal millions or tens of millions jobs from Americans leading to more Americans having no chance to make it in life and drifting to alcoholism, drug use, criminality, hopelessness, suicide and criminality like has happened to poor working class whites around USA and like has happened to American blacks in massive numbers since 1990’s aided and abetted by the Joe Biden written 1994 crime bill that created the for-profit-prisons and prison-industrial-complex and mass incarceration of American blacks through the 10 times longer prison sentences for crack than for cocaine and the three strikes law which ended up putting many to do life sentence despite many of the 3rd strikes being things like fight in a nightclub/Stripclub/Bar or stealing something from shop while using verbal threats leading to it being classified a felony.

I agree that if this is happening this is wrong but would use stronger language – If this is happening it is morally reprehensible and a crime.

I found your post interesting but I do have to disagree with two of your points. First, there is no obligation in the 1951 Refugee Convention or the 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees (which is the agreement the USA signed), either explicit or implicit, that requires a refugee to claim asylum in the first safe country they reach. In fact, refugees often take great risks to reach a country where they have family or other connections and, again, there is nothing in the Convention or Protocol that requires them to claim in the first safe country they come to.

Second, you can’t just declare another country a “safe third country” or, as you put it, a “safe enough” country. As the conditions have to be reciprocal, you need to enter into an legal agreement with the other country clearly outlining the conditions of the agreement. United States and Canada had a Safe Third Country Agreement for years (since 2004) until it was cancelled by Canada in July 2020 when Canada determined the Agreement was “no longer working as intended” and the Canadian courts determined that ‘Canada could ‘no longer turn a blind eye’ and stated the Agreement infringed upon the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, specifically “the right to life, liberty and security of the person”. The reason for the decision is obvious and embarrassing in that the USA is no longer seen as a safe or fair country for refugees worthy of a Safe Third Country Agreement.

My third point, which is not related to your comments, but if there was any doubt in the deterioration of US morals and leadership, you need look no further as the USA is spending hundreds of millions ($775 per person per day) to separate families at the border and lock up children (nearly 70K migrant children in custody in 2019). The most disgusting part is the horrible conditions these children and other detainees endure, but second to that is the extreme waste of money. Don’t believe lying Mike Pence who says 90% don’t show up for their hearings, the opposite is actually true. According to DOJ statistics, between 2013 and 2017, 92% of asylum seekers appeared in court to receive a final decision on their claims and 98% of mothers with children who were represented by legal counsel complied with their court hearing obligations. So the Trump Administration is spending millions (if not billions as it is difficult to calculate the cost given the secrecy of this government) to solve a “problem” that doesn’t exist. I’m not saying that no one should be detained as a flight risk but this 100% lock-up of refugee claimants and especially children is just crazy and not supported by the data. The trauma that is caused to young children and parents separated at the US-Mexico border constitutes torture, according to the group Physicians for Human Rights (PHR). In my humble opinion, it constitutes a crime against humanity in that it is a deliberate act as part of a systematic campaign, that causes human suffering on a large scale., including at least 7 deaths of children in ICE custody. But please, try to convince me that this Administration is “pro-life” as obviously they don’t care about children at all unless it’s to force a woman to have a baby or, if this story is true, force a woman to be sterilized so they can’t have any children at all. All I can say is, I pray this isn’t true but given their track record, I wouldn’t put anything past this corrupt and morally bankrupt Administration.

There is NO requirement from the countries who signed Geneva Convention to take asylum applications either at their border or inside their borders from people wanting the leave an asylum application and become asylum seekers UNLESS they come DIRECTLY from the country where they are PERSECUTED.

So if a Guatemalan comes to US border or inside USA and claims persecution in Guatemala and tries to leave an asylum application that application does NOT have to be taken and the person can be removed to a “safe third country” like Mexico that is SAFE enough for Guatemalans.

What you said that asylum seekers/refugees are NOT required to apply for asylum in the first SAFE country is a misdirection by you either knowingly or because you have been told that misdirection and you have believed it.

Geneva convention regulates what countries do to asylum seekers/refugees NOT what asylum seekers/refugees do so if a country like USA is stupid enough to take into their asylum process Guatemalans, Hondurans, El Salvadorans that USA could have returned to Mexico then USA has to process their asylum claims according to Geneva Convention since USA allowed those asylum applications to be submitted to US authorities.

EU has a Dublin agreement that states that the 1st EU country that an asylum seeker enters is responsible for their asylum claim DESPITE them continuing onward to another EU country (that usually has generous welfare system giving free money and free apartments) and only leaving their asylum application once they are in the country with generous welfare and free apartments if the asylum status is granted and according to Dublin agreement asylum seekers can be returned to the 1st EU country they entered even if they avoided that country’s authorities and did NOT leave an asylum application there and did NOT get their fingerprints taken to the EU-wide EuroDAC fingerprint-system for asylum seekers.

EU country needs just some proof that the asylum seeker entered through another EU country and can return to the 1st EU country they entered with proof like the asylum seeker telling they came to that country first in their asylum interview or their phone having location/SIM data from that country or them posting social media posts once they reached Greece or Italy.

The situation is complicated in that some EU countries asylum/immigration systems are run by leftists/do-gooders that specifically seeked out those positions to help as many people as possible to stay and this leads to some EU countries ONLY doing Dublin-returns if the applicant has left their asylum application in another EU country and has their fingerprints in EuroDAC and some EU-countries with officials more interested in doing their jobs instead of “helping” as many people as possible to stay doing Dublin-returns if the asylum seeker tells in their asylum interview that they came first to Italy/Greece (->Dublin return) or their phone(99% coming have phones with them) or social media having proof they came to Italy/Greece (->Dublin return).

For example Germany has an asylum processing system where Germany does NOT do Dublin returns based on proof (phone data, social media, applicants own interview) like Dublin agreement allows that the asylum seeker entered some other EU country 1st and instead Germany only does Dublin returns to 1st EU country if the asylum seeker has left their application in another EU country and has their fingerprints in EuroDAC so that was another reason Germany was so favored by the asylum seekers in 2015 and early 2016 in addition to the generous welfare and free apartments provided by German tax-payers after the asylum application had been accepted.

Since Germany is known as an efficient country I give a further example how Germany’s asylum/immigration system is run by leftists/do-gooders that want as many asylum seekers to stay as possible.
In Dublin agreement there are a certain number of months during which the country that received the asylum application and where the asylum seeker now is has to ask for Dublin return if the asylum seeker came through another EU country 1st and this time-period is the same whether you are doing Dublin-returns through the proof they entered some other EU country 1st (phone data, social media, asylum seekers own admission in asylum interview etc.) or through EuroDAC-hit in the fingerprint register (left their sylum application in another EU country and had their fingerprints taken into EuroDAC) and if Dublin return is NOT requested during this time period of certain months then responsibility transfers under Dublin agreement to the EU country where the asylum seeker now is waiting for their asylum application to be processed and 1st country no longer has responsibility to accept Dublin return.

Most EU countries do the fingerprint search in EuroDAC to check whether they have left asylum application in some other EU country and are therefore in EuroDAC immediately after the asylum seeker comes to leave the application since they can be returned quickly if they have an EuroDAC hit.
Using the other way to do Dublin returns through proof takes more time if there is NO EuroDAC hit since phone data/Social media needs to be looked by someone or get the applicant to admit they came first to Greece/Italy in the asylum interview but can still be Dublin returned.

What did Germany do?
They only checked the EuroDAC at the time they did the asylum interview and this was months and months after people had come to Germany therefore Germany became responsible for tens of thousands of asylum seekers in 2015 and early 2016 that had asylum applications in Italy /Greece and had EuroDAC hits and could have been Dublin-returned very quickly but became Germany’s responsibility under Dublin agreement because German asylum/immigration authorities used a stupid way of doing things and there was no sign of German efficiency.
Can Germans be so inefficient and stupid?
Of course NOT. German asylum/immigration system is run by leftists/do-gooders that want as many asylum seekers to stay in Germany as possible and that want as many as possible to get asylum as possible and all the free welfare money and free apartments that asylum status brings so German asylum/immigration authorities are full of people that want to help as many people to stay in Germany as possible.

Last I will bring this all around to your claim that asylum seekers/refugees are NOT required to seek asylum in the first SAFE country they enter and like I said you are correct in that but your claim is also a MISDIRECTION of the issue because Geneva convention regulates what countries do to asylum seekers/refugees.

Clearly MAKING the asylum seeker/refugee hopeful RETURN to the 1st SAFE country they entered and leave their asylum application there is NOT against the Geneva Convention otherwise EU’s Dublin agreement would violate the Geneva Convention on a massive scale.

Therefore USA could and should use existing US law 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention to RETURN 100% of people who come through Mexico and try to leave asylum application either in USA after being caught crossing the border or inside USA when caught as ILLEGAL immigrants or at ports of entry/border crossings and SEND them BACK to “safe third country” Mexico and tell them to make their asylum application in Mexico for asylum in Mexico.

All that is needed is for somebody from Trump’s administration to wake up to their incompetence and realizing this “tough” policy after “tough” policy that create inhumane conditions is totally unnecessary and Attorney General just has to give order to NOT accept asylum applications inside USA, when caught at the border crossing it illegally or at ports of entry/border crossings and just order all people coming through Mexico to try to leave asylum application in USA to be REMOVED from USA and returned to the “safe third country” called Mexico based on 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention.

If somebody wants to mail what I posted to Trump himself or feckless Attorney General William Barr or other Trump administration officials that could have done this on the 1st day of Trump’s term please do so.

Obama could have done what I posted on his first term on the 1st day of it but instead Obama wanted millions and millions more ILLEGAL immigrants to please Wall Street and Trump is just clueless and wants to pose as tough, talk tough, appear tough and his incompetent underlings are doing stupid and inhumane policies to be “tough” instead of fixing the ILLEGAL immigration issue quickly and humanely and stopping the massive abuse of US asylum system that needs JUST AN ORDER from ATTORNEY GENERAL based on 8 U.S. Code § 1158 and multilateral agreement called Geneva Convention.

You are missing the point. WIDELY. It is not a question of why they are here. It is not a question of their presence in the U.S. legally. It is not a question of immigration. They are being detained by a private company inside the U.S. and the company is being paid by the U.S. government to provide secure and safe detention. The question of them being here in the US, right or wrong, is immaterial. The fact that females are being sterilized without proper knowledge and consent is the point! And it isn’t the first time. Native females were also abused in the same way. Go to a hospital to have a baby, come out with the baby and sterilized. Imagine your daughter going in for, say a appendectomy, and coming out with both no appendix and no ovaries, because the doctor had met you and decided your gene pool needed to stop with your daughter. Uh-huh. Bet that would change your views. Wrong is wrong. Period.

How Americans can continue to support Trump through the years of lying and evil-doing, I really don’t know. If men were sterilized by taking their penises and testicles off, I am sure this story would we front page news in every part of the world. I guess Trump has sanctioned The International Court of Criminals in the Hague so that he can continue to commit his many, many crimes without prosecution. What a truly EVIL Person he is!

AP looked into the story and found that there has been ONE hysterectomy for an ILLEGAL immigrant woman who had carcinoma and ONE removal of ONE fallopian tube which was swollen from a Cameroonian woman who was about to be DEPORTED back to Cameroon so not a huge scandal.
In total AP found 8 women whose main complaint for 6 was that they were not informed and told what the doctor was doing enough to their satisfaction.

Since they are people who are about to be DEPORTED they of course have an incentive to exaggerate their complaints and hope their DEPORTATION is stopped like happened to the Cameroonian woman.

The doctors name is Dr. Mahendra Amin who is Indian.

So this is NOT some huge conspiracy by some crazed Trump supporter.
