White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki Quits, She’s Finally Had Enough of Biden

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, image from Huffington Post Tweet

Psaki to abandon roll as White House Press Secretary for MSNBC.

Apparently she has had enough defending Biden’s inept policy and collapsing approval rating.

She actually did a great job covering up Biden’s gaffes but finally has had enough.

Axios reports Jen Psaki planning to leave White House this spring for MSNBC gig

Psaki will host a show for MSNBC on NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, Peacock.

She will also be a part of live programming on MSNBC’s cable network as a voice on different shows, but she will not be hosting the 9 p.m. hour replacing Rachel Maddow, which has been speculated.

One must evaluate Psaki on how well she did her job, not whether one likes the message!

Her job was to lie, coverup, duck questions, and make excuses for the President.

That’s not an easy job and one I would have refused. Biden is highly unlikely to find anyone as skilled at lying for him.

If you think Psaki did not do her job well, then you are confusing your politics with the job requirements for White House Press Secretary.

She said in the beginning she was only going to stay a year. Here’s an article from last year.
Sorry Mish, I appreciate your views on economics (even when I don’t agree with them) but the culture war doesn’t suit you. And in response to some of our likely Moscow-based comrades below, Biden could stand in front of reporters and fart along to “I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy” and it still wouldn’t approach the top 100 craziest thing Trump ever did.

What is more interesting to me is that I suspect that Bidens illegitimate stewardship of state will be the inflection point that marks the beginning of the end for the US as the prime power in the world, as well for its reserve currency. As Portugal, Spain and the UK learned it does not last forever. It is interesting that Biden was the point man on Ukraine during Obamas terms, his son had oligarch business dealings there and all of a sudden we are embroiled in Regime Change against Putin due to goings on there.
This war could probably have been prevented by acknowledging Russia’s legitimate interest in not having NATO all over their border. But Biden took that option off the table. As far as i am concerned HE is personally responsible for the war. Putin is an evil dictator, but that is Russia’s problem not ours. Now Biden has made it our problem. No good will come from it.

Not sure how great it is that Ms Psaki did her job of lying really well. I mean it is true. She was a master liar. Which is necessary when you are Press Sec for someone whose every utterance is a lie.
But that is like saying Satan is really good at twisting people’s souls. Yes, true, but from a moral standpoint still has zero benefit for the country they ultimately serve.

I did not vote for Biden and I stated so many times.
I voted Libertarian and would do so again over those losers.
I still cannot stand Trump.
It is idiotic, especially since I spelled it out many times, to conclude I voted for Biden.

A little secret sharing. Ms. Psaki only agreed to work for the Amdin for a year. I thought she would leave in Jan. Also, she is someone who rotates in and out of govt for Dem politicians.

Ditto anyone who voted at all, for anyone but Ron Paul, since at least Goldwater. Perhaps since Jefferson.
Children turning America into “My Idiot can beat up Your Idiot” moron-bashes, is what a minimum voting age was supposed to avoid…..
Like every other attempt at idiot-proofing American government, that rule obviously failed to sufficiently account for ever better idiots as well…..

EXACTLY right. Mish didn’t like Trump’s annoying ways and so he voted for brandon. Trump was annoying AF but actually one of the most effective presidents in history. Would I want him in the whitehouse in 2024? Not if DeSantis and Candace Owens would pair up as pres and veep. But a junkyard dog is better than brandon who is clearly a criminal and a traitor.

The Biden Admin has created more jobs than Trump. The only thing that Trump was effective was to kill close One Million Americans due to Covid 19 he allowed to run rampart. Unlike South Korea, Candada, and others who did a better job!

The Biden Admin created more jobs than Trump? RUFKM? Is there a single neuron firing in there?
First of all, Presidents of the US do not create jobs. The economy creates jobs.
Second, did you happen to notice the crash that happened in 2020 due to governments around the world destroying everything they touched with utterly clueless and destructive policies in reponse to a middling pandemic? No? Maybe go look at the charts before uttering such nonsense.
Whoever was POTUS in this term would have seen huge job creation. It is a rebound from massive job destruction. I mean just wow.

As mentioned before, other countries had better response to Covid 19. Had he controlled the plauge better, the economy would not have crashed. Presidents do control economy due to their fiscal proposals. It is amazing that Rightwingers give God like praise to Trump when things were mediocre . However, when things collapsed, he now is a poor man who is being buffeted by events he can’t conrol.

Lying is a challenging term. The title says she is leaving because she has had enough of Biden? Is that true? A year ago, she said she was only going to stay a year. How many people in politics keep their word on that? She appears to be walking the talk.

Well, she certainly did not improve the credibility of American officials.
American officials, whether government, private, or elsewhere, seem unaware that decades of PR have reduced any lingering pockets of credibility outside the media complex itself to a flat zero.

There is a difference between lying and prevaricating double talk——She is an outright liar and that is only a job requirement at the CIA—–and cannot be a requirement for the press secretary speaking to the people—-disgusting.

When MSNBC announced a year ago, they were posting a future position for someone who could evade, misrepresent and obfuscate the truth, Ms. Psaki was considered to be one of several to be seriously considered. In the past year however, it’s been quite apparent to network brass that her skill set for deception is remarkably advanced. She’ll fit in quite nicely at her new employer.

They don’t. “My Idiot can beat up Your Idiot” is what drives ratings, once the audience is neatly divided among two camps of nothing but rank idiots, neither with even the faintest ability to comprehend anything more involved than just that.

Amazing that people are stunned that a white house press secretary ‘s role is speaking for the Administration. They have been doing it since George Washington.
Her job is to present the Administration’s position, whether it is good, bad, stupid or sad. That is the role of every press secretary. And she has worked in this role for 2 presidents and has been a democrat mouthpiece since she was in diapers. She has worked for CNN already so why not the Dem party’s propaganda machine over at MS-DNC.
A lot of press secretaries go into media and some into regular news. Dana Perino was President Bush’s press secretary. I know her and she is smart as hell and doing straight news now. George Stepha-alphabets became an anchor. Bill Moyers was LBJs press flack. Became a solid newsman and he had to justify VietNam!
I think Psaki is too political to become a real reporter but is a perfect fit at MS-DNC

Agreed with Psaki doing well in her role as PS. Not sure she left because she got fed up. I heard rumors she was leaving in Jan 2022 as far back as December. It’s entirely possible she was fishing for a better role. I think she was ready to leave months ago and it took just the right opportunity (her own show) to convince her the “grass is greener” in private industry. Hard to prove either way without direct statement from her.

The basic fact behind all of this is Biden’s incompetence and unsuitability.
The shameful lying and, can one say “transparent obfuscation” about Biden’s integrity and intelligence goes back to the campaign trail. Anyone with critical thinking unobstructed by flagrant partisanship knew this about Biden even going back to his VP days, not to say he isn’t a lot worse now.
Our current and recent leadership in general is a b lot on our socienty.

THAT is the problem. When we accept that her job is “to lie and cover up for the potus”.
Unacceptable, and yes, I live in the real world. Doesn’t justify it. In fact, people who use that as an excuse are merely copping out.
We can and should demand better because this is exactly how this nation keeps diving to new lows.
Mish, the fact that she in fact did do those things makes her a POS in my mind.

The problem is that the job of politicians is to get elected (not to actually do anything for you, if that happens it’s quite by accident as they enrich themselves).. The only way to get elected is to relentlessly self-promote, never take the blame for anything and always blame someone else. Lying is just part of doing all 3 of those things.
Once upon a time decades ago it wasn’t nearly this bad because there wasn’t a 24×7 new cycle / air time / internet blog to fill.
