Since the late 1800’s we have been doing this in the US. I don’t see a problem with this (his side image), as it’s based upon the 250’th Anniversary and is not an actual “Trump Thing” but He just happens to be President at the time.
I do however have a problem with the flip side featuring a pose in regards to as assassination attempt. That is not necessary to do, and why have a lasting negative image on our coin. I would suggest something far less reaching, less attached to an event and just simplistic. Maybe the Seal of the President?
Is there another example of a sitting president putting his image on a coin?

It was a act passed in 2005 to honor ALL the past presidents. It was discontinued in 2016, because of cost and the build up of inventory (they are not in circulation). Some critter passed an act to honor Bush in 2020 and they are trying to do the same for Carter. But here is the key part: “The act specifies that for a former president to be honored, they must have been deceased for at least two years before issue.”
TY Art! I had not dug that deep, but did recall the coin talk. So are they looking for approval now, so when He goes at some point, then two years later, His Coin Emerges? Sounds odd, but I could see why it could be silly, based upon that info, and thought process.

2. Killing or murder for political reasons.
These “Extremely” Negative Connotations via the simple meaning of the Verb. Why have that be the first question and answer? How about: What a “Beautiful Seal” I like that or more positive about America.
