War in the Mideast? Saudi Arabia Says Lebanon Declared War

The New York Post reports Saudi Arabia Says Lebanon Has Declared War On It.

Saudi Gulf affairs minister Thamer al-Sabhan told Al-Arabiya TV that Saad al-Hariri, who announced his resignation as Lebanon’s prime minister on Saturday, had been told that acts of “aggression” by Hezbollah “were considered acts of a declaration of war against Saudi Arabia by Lebanon and by the Lebanese Party of the Devil.”

With tensions rising in the region, the Saudi-led military coalition fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen said on Monday it would close all air, land and sea ports to the Arabian Peninsula country to stem the flow of arms to the Houthis from Iran.

The move, which follows the interception of a missile fired toward Riyadh on Saturday, is likely to worsen a humanitarian crisis in Yemen that the UN says has pushed some seven million people to the brink of famine and left more than half a million infected with cholera.

“The Coalition Forces Command decided to temporarily close all Yemeni air, sea and land ports,” the coalition said in a statement on the Saudi state news agency SPA.

Lebanon PM Hariri Resigns in Fear for Life

Yesterday, Informed Comment reported Lebanon PM Hariri Resigns in fear for Life, Slamming Iran.

Lebanon’s prime minister Saad al-Hariri resigned on Saturday, citing an assassination plot against him and accusing Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah of sowing strife in the Arab world.

His resignation thrusts Lebanon back into the frontline of Saudi-Iranian regional rivalry and seems likely to exacerbate sectarian tensions between Lebanese Sunni and Shia Muslims.

It also shatters a coalition government formed last year after years of political deadlock, and which was seen as representing a victory for Shia Hezbollah and Iran.

Hariri, who is closely allied with Saudi Arabia, alleged in a televised broadcast that Hezbollah was “directing weapons” at Yemenis, Syrians and Lebanese and said the Arab world would “cut off the hands that wickedly extend to it”.

the Neocon policy of hegemony across the ME continues to its final destination, the author Brezezinski has disavowed it, disowning the success of his own policy, in the final outcome radical Islam will be pushed back onto the high plains of Asia, (or the slums of Europe) with Tehran as the western most border. With Iran at the far west outpost we have naturally stepped up the level of attack. Trump is just a grocery clerk, (see Apocalypse Now)

If the US would start an energy independence program with as much effort as we put into the Apollo moon program, we could walk away from the Middle East and say good riddance. The US could then care about the Middle East and the problems there about as much as we care about the Insurgency in the Maghreb. Yeah, I had to look it up.

Of course trump loves them… they gave him a big sparkly medallion to commemorate how awesome he is. They are the only people in the world that treat him like he wants to be treated.

Hizballah defeated the Israelis hands down the last time they invaded Lebanon. SA wouldn’t stand a chance. Much of the hard-core fighting against ISIS was done Hizballah. Much better to have them on your side.

There is world war of Sunni-Shia in the middle east.

Sunni – SA, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the old Iraq, Egypt, ruling class of Yemen and ISIS
Shia – Iran, the new Iraq, rebels in Yemen, Syria (Alawites) and Hezbollah

Pick a side carefully infidel. Because no matter how much slaughter each other, they will hate you more.

or stay out of it and sell each side weapons.

Saudi Arabia can barely keep their head above water in Yemen. They’ve got no chance sending their over-extended military across the water to Lebanon. Hezbollah, Syria, Russia & Iran now have battle-hardened soldiers who learned the tough lessons of combat by actually winning a war against ISIS and other jihadists in Syria. Saudi Arabia is busy internally with the long knives among the royal family. The reality is only the US can go and smash Iran & Lebanon. Israel & Saudi are doing whatever they can to activate the fifth column in the US to do just that. Working class kids in flyover country die for those playing chess with checkers minds.

I got suspicious when Trump took office and soon went to Saudi Arabia and immediately to Israel. Stepping up against the Iran Agreement and then again befriending the Saudis? Israel has always used the Saudi Arab State against Iran and surrounding states and I was wondering how Israel was going to get a war going with Lebanon so they can take the water resources. This is it.
