Another “Deplorables” Moment: Biden Calls Trump Supporters “Garbage”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “[Trump’s] demonization of Latinos is Unconscionable and it is un-American.”

Lovely.

When criticizing your opponent, it’s best not to stoop to the same level.

You can watch the now Viral Clip on X.

Biden’s criticism was not even in response to something Trump said, but a comedian said on Trump’s behalf.

NBC reports A racist joke against Puerto Ricans has created aftershocks that may shake up the election

The comedian, Tony Hinchcliffe, called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” to warm up the New York City crowd — drawing immediate criticism from across the political spectrum and derailing what was supposed to be a night highlighting Trump in the final stretch of the campaign.

On Monday, Trump’s campaign referred NBC News to senior adviser Danielle Alvarez’s statement on Sunday, which stated, “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”

Not content to let the joke backfire on Trump, Biden came to Trump’s rescue, calling Trump supporters garbage.

Bear in mind, many of Trump supporters are Latinos.

Basket of Deplorables

Many think Hillary lost the 2016 election because she called labeled Trump supporters as “a basket of deplorables“.

“Basket of deplorables” is a phrase from a 2016 US presidential election campaign speech delivered by Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on September 9, 2016, at a campaign fundraising event. She used the phrase to describe “half” of the supporters of her opponent, Republican nominee Donald Trump, saying they’re “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic”. The next day, she expressed regret for “saying half”, while insisting that Trump had deplorably amplified “hateful views and voices”.

The Trump campaign repeatedly used the phrase against Clinton during and after the 2016 presidential election. Many Trump supporters adopted the “deplorable” moniker for themselves in reappropriation. Some journalists and political analysts questioned whether this speech played a role in the election’s outcome. In her 2017 book What Happened, Clinton herself said that her comments on the “basket of deplorables” were a factor in her electoral loss.

Biden the Healer

Please recall Biden’s pledge to be a healer.

Instead, Biden has been the Progressive’s wet dream president, repeatedly flouting the Supreme Court on student debt. See King Biden and Queen Harris Overrule Supreme Court on Student Debt Forgiveness

This whole election campaign has been swimming in garbage, preposterous vote-buying proposals, and lies, by both sides.

Dumpster diving with deplorables is a fitting end to Biden’s presidency and this election campaign.

Having lived in Puerto Rico for about a decade, I agree with the shock comedian Tony, that “Puerto Rico is a floating piece of garbage” in the figurative sense, though they keep the tourist areas a lot cleaner than elsewhere. If you boat/drive around the large bay, you’ll find many illegal sewage drains into the bay (affecting the smell and clarity of the water). Further, the island has very high levels of corruption in the government, including the police. And the crime is super high. During my time there I had two cars stolen and was robbed at gunpoint. Further, FEMA shouldn’t be there because people in PR don’t pay federal income taxes, just PR taxes (they can fund their own FEMA since their taxes are also higher at all income levels than in the rest of the US). But they do pay Social Security and collect it as well, though the SSA office has also been investigated and prosecuted for SSA corruption. Meanwhile one of every four employed people, are paid by the government (and usually don’t work much). It’s how they buy votes, and create unnecessarily high taxes.

On the bright side, there are a lot of very nice people there, but the bad apples spoil the barrel into a barrel of garbage.

She is 1/2 Indian 1/2 Jamacian. She is not an African American . These are 3 different cultures. I have Jamacian American friends that dont like African Americans in general, there words not mine. And that is even more true with Indian Americans.

Three things will likely happen on 5 November. Deplorable, garbage-characterizing, politically-incorrect, cognitively- impaired Joe Biden will not be reelected. That’s an easy one. Two: Trump Tech equity DJT will see a new 4 year low following a 23 Sept 10(2/4/4/3)//23 (4/8/8/6 of 6) day fractal pattern {as the global equity composites have a (true, true, and unrelated) (911) 11 Sept 6/12/15/10 of 10 day :: x/2x/2.5x/1.6x 4-phase Lammert fractal series spectacular crash}; and three, the betting probability of Trump winning the presidential election will fall below 50%.

So Trump supporters are garbage, are they? So typical of the liberals to see themselves as the angels floating down among rays of light to save the world. There’s no shortage of hubris there, is there?

But it casts a light into the box inside the liberal skull. He is a moralizer to match the most drooling troglodytic Evangelical Righty. With his shirt two buttons untied, he harangues the audience on gay rights, trans rights, minority rights and the rights of everyone except the white male, who is of course going to pay for all this, like a titanically bad divorce settlement in which she gets 2/3rds of everything.

Biden is a doddering old fool, his words quaking from the effort of being spoken, and no one particularly cares about him anyway in his last lame-duck prez days, not the conservatives, not the liberals. I am neither liberal or conservative (I rather fancy myself a techno-barbarian) but you’ve got to feel for the liberals as their electoral hopes go the way of the lone rapper at night on the street during a sudden mag dump. Dance, Afrikah Jones, Dance!

As seen on ZH: “Puerto Rican politician Zoraida Buxó came out for Trump at a Tuesday rally…” “Meanwhile, Puerto Rican Trump supporters responded with a pro-Trump caravan…”

It seems that Puerto Ricans are not as upset as Democrats want them to be, over a poor joke related to their apparently terrible problem with garbage disposal. Why haven’t Democrats done something about this problem in Puerto Rico, just as they haven’t done anything about the border crisis in the U.S?

I am a dumpster diver. The other day, in an RV Park, sitting right next to the dumpster: a nearly New 50amp “line conditioner” with a burnt blade (copper) of a four pronged 50amp Male plug end (a very expensive item). I removed the plug, pulled off the cover and it is in perfect shape: it meters out perfectly and our dive landed me a $700 Line conditioner for the cost of one plug. A proud moment.

Here is Donald Trump’s apparent governing plan so far:

  • Enact 20% tariffs on all imports.¹
  • Cut $2 trillion from the federal budget.²
  • Let RFK Jr. “go wild” on health, food, and medicine.³
  • Mass deportation of illegal immigrants.¹ ²
  • Big tax cuts for corporations and the rich.¹
  • Abandon Ukraine. Maybe Taiwan too.4
  • Use the military to fight “the enemy within.”5
  • Build a strategic Bitcoin reserve.³
  • Fire thousands of nonpartisan civil servants so he can replace them with MAGA drones.6
  • Repeal any and all efforts at combating climate change, which is a hoax.³
  • Implement “concepts of a plan” to repeal Obamacare, including its provision that protects people with preexisting conditions.7
  • Take unspecified revenge against Meta and Google.³
  • Blow up the federal deficit.¹

How is it possible that there are lots of people who actually want this? Do even conservatives really want this? Even if Trump loses, it’s apparent that we’ve lost our collective mind.
¹Would wreck the economy and spike inflation.
²Not actually possible, thank God.
³Come on, man.
4Would encourage two-bit dictators worldwide and make it clear that nukes are a country’s only real protection.
5Obviously unconstitutional.
6Delusions of grandeur, anyone?
7Would hurt lots of people for no perceptible reason except retribution against Obama.

Cutting $2 trillion from the Federal budget is a non starter. Mandatory spending (SSI, Medicare, Medicaid, food insurance)+interest eats up more than all of the incoming revenue. Cutting $2 trillion would mean every discretionary department, including the military, would go bye bye along with some cuts to mandatory spending.

People like to bitch and moan about the number of Federal employees (a legitimate gripe in my view), but what they don’t understand is that SSI, Medicare/caid, and food insurance are the primary deficit drivers, and it’s only going to get worse as more boomers retire and begin taking benefits. Until those programs are reformed getting the nation’s fiscal house in order is a pipe dream.

Neither of the two dummies running for office have any solutions for this fiscal mess other than to make it worse. Both are spend-a-holics.

Of course everyone knows $2T today is a non-started, but at least Trump wants someone like Musk to look into what can reasonably be cut.

Forcing the DoD to pass an audit would be a great start. I’m quite sure there’s close to $100B in waste in the DoD budget.

There’s easily $100B in waste in Medicare & SSI.

There’s easily $100B in non-discretionary spending.

If Trump (and I agree it’s a big if) wins and does these three simple things, it would be a win:

Tell everyone that earmarks are gone.

Tell Congress they have to submit & pass budgets (i.e., no more CRs), then we’d have a pretty big win on the fiscal side of the house.

Find $200B in waste & fraud.

If he really wanted to leave a legacy, he would form a commission that develops a framework for a balanced budget amendment with a reasonable timeframe for getting it done (10-15 years). They would present their results by his 2nd State of the Union address. Then sometime in his final year in office, he’d get it passed through Congress.

That would be huge! Time will tell if whomever wins takes seriously the need to bring back fiscal sanity.

Like yourself & almost everyone else, we have our doubts.

On NY radio this morning, a [screeching] clip of Kamala referred to the election as something “you do that will affect your life personally”.

Finally she is right about something.

Ordinarily I’ve dismissed the four-year obligation as an exercise in civic duty but otherwise meaningless since the national policy never changes.

But this student loan forgiveness thing has struck my family hard. Biden’s DOE changed the FAFSA student aid form drastically to feed the Big Banks, removing a requirement for colleges to split costs for families with more than one kid in college.

My costs doubled thanks to this regime. I’m nearly bankrupted and my kids will become debtors thanks to this regime.

If Orange Man Bad becomes President, this awfulness will disappear (for 4 years) and we won’t be immediately ruined.

So, Kamala was right! ….Amazing, isn’t it?

The first one, dismantling much of the garbage and filth that is the Federal government. It has morphed into a version of the U.S.S.R. at this point. State controlled media, censorship, massive income inequality, lack of housing, fraud, waste and thick roots of corruption.

The US Government is quite unique in its waste, inefficiency, fraud, and outright incompetence. The Soviets, at least, had five-year plans.

What we have observed recently in the US Secret Service and FEMA proliferates through the entire Federal Government, and most state governments. It started with well-intentioned affirmative-action, and ended up as DEI. When the basis of your political and economic system is ‘success hinges on merit,’ the outcome should be obvious.
It gets worse: In a prolonged conflict with China and/or Russia, the US Military will likely not be victorious after the high-tech weapons and Special Forces run out, one reason why nuclear war is becoming increasingly likely. .

FYI, the reference by the comedian to ‘garbage’ was in relation to the trash littering Puerto Rico as a result of over-filled landfill, and people resorting to littering to get rid of their trash. Note that trash and garbage are synonymous.

Trash:

  1. Worthless or discarded material or objects; refuse or rubbish.
  2. A place or receptacle where rubbish is discarded.

Garbage

  1. Food wastes, as from a kitchen.
  2. Refuse; trash.
  3. A place or receptacle where rubbish is discarded.

Go look at the Gateway Pundit.

They’re reporting all sorts of BS election interference issues in a couple of conservative counties.

Vote PA is a partisan group that’s escorting vans full on non-English speaking people to the front of the at this election location.

It’s crazy! Lawsuits should be flying off the shelf as we speak.

The dems herd together, imitating each other, building an Anti Trump bubble : Trump is a criminal. Trump is Hitler. A dictator. Danger to “our” democracy. A threat to eliminate in order to survive. A liar/liar/liar/liar…His supporters are garbage. His Supreme court are schmucks to ignore. The worst dictators blame their opponents for what they are doing. Zip it demps. Even leftist-tool Jon Stewart thought the jokes were fine; to survive next 4-12 years, he’s joined the both-sides gang like Maher. He’ll shift full left when power returns.

PS – A little watching and you’ll find the PR joke is less racist than Tony Hinchcliffe’s typical material.(is PR a race or region? … for shame, he’s a regionist)

Does this allow Joe to step down and allow Kamala to take the helm for the final yard? With Walz presiding over the Senate and Electoral College vote-can’t lose.

Swearing in on Monday, Nov 4th. No politics or rallies; no lame duck; no “office of president elect”. Just joy and glory!

She’ll be soooo Presidential (and can’t screw up with <24 hours to vote closing).

NY Times well-known conservative columnist, Bret Stephens, Has FINALLY found his way to commit to voting for Harris. His logic below.

All of you can throw your temper tantrums but Stephens has a lot more followers and a lot more influence. His statement is likely to convince some fence sitters, unlike any of the objectors here.

A Conservative Case Against Trump

Oct. 29, 2024

By Bret Stephens

With a week to go before the election, Kamala Harris has yet to come up with a compelling rationale for her candidacy, other than to accuse her opponent of being a fascist. Ask her a question to which she doesn’t have a canned answer and she struggles for a coherent response. The most notable difference between her current presidential bid and her previous one in 2019 is that she has repudiated many of her past views. Is it because she’s hiding her real convictions — or because she has few real convictions at all?

Yet I’m going to vote for her. Other conservatives should, too.

Why? Because Donald Trump is worse. He isn’t worse because he’s a fascist: If he were, his outspoken opponents would have wound up in prison, not on MSNBC. He isn’t worse because his presidency was an unremitting failure: The (prepandemic) economy thrived, Operation Warp Speed was a triumph, the world was more at peace than it is today and there were important diplomatic achievements such as the Abraham Accords. Nor is he the only one who can disrespect political norms: It’s Harris, not Trump, who is campaigning on ending the Senate filibuster and perhaps packing the Supreme Court.

But Trump is worse in ways that matter profoundly to the rule of law, the health of capitalism and the future of freedom at home and abroad. Conservatives who claim to care about these things should also care about what Trump may do to each of them — and, crucially, do so in the name of conservatism. Consider:

A great example of propaganda put out by the NYT.

1: present the writer as being righteous
2: position self with the target audience
3: Lay out good points about the reader’s preferred candidate
4: Reverse position with inane general and unsubstantiated claims

EG. “…But Trump is worse in ways that matter profoundly to the rule of law, the health of capitalism and the future of freedom at home and abroad..”

Without offering a grain of proof!

I call BULLSHIT! It’s a pity Jojo can’t see it for what it is.

Don’t be a dope. The problem is not age per se. Biden has dementia. Trump is not showing any signs of it. There are many people in their 80’s, many well known politicians, who have not lost their mind. Biden has, largely.

I’m exhausted by all this. Everyone knew Biden was on the take from China when Hunter’s laptop was revealed. We’re about to go completely off the fiscal cliff due to years of easy money and weak kneed politicians none of whom will tell the public the truth or do anything about it since telling the truth won’t get them elected. We can only hope Trump gets in and gets a balanced budget amendment, term limits, ends the Fed, and cuts everything we don’t absolutely need. All I hear is Trump saying we can grow our way out of our debt problem. I doubt it. Trillions more are yet to be printed and it will happen sooner rather than later. This won’t end well. Perhaps killing millions will fix it for the Fed through massive war or another pandemic. BTW, tried to post something similar on WSJ and they banned me for not adhering to their community standards. Nobody wants to hear the truth.

I am not expecting Trump to accomplish very much if he wins, but I voted for him as the lesser of two evils. I doubt that you will get any of the changes on your wish list. At the rate we are piling up deficits, we should not be surprised if the US $ goes the way of the old German mark c. 1923.

Trump has several on his transition team who are talking about getting control of the deficit. Also, Rand Paul’s recent suggestion is that we could balance the federal budget in 5 years with a 6% across the board budget cut. He used to say it would take a mere 1% cut, but now it will take 6%. I still think there is hope.
