This story came out a couple days ago, but I first saw it today. It’s straight from Bizarro World.

Michelle Obama’s Speech
At the 4-minute mark, Michelle Obama said “More than 150,000 people have died, and our economy is in shambles because of a virus this president downplayed too long.”
Correction Noted, Thanks!
There are now over 176,000 official Covid-19 deaths. Excess death counts suggest the number is much higher.

Trump’s complaint sounds a bit like this: “You honor, my client cannot be found guilty of stealing $10,000 as he actually stole $15,000.”
Divisive?
If Trump wants to understand divisiveness he should look in the mirror. No president in history has offended as may allies or reneged on as may deals as he has.
Anything and everything that does not praise him is divisive to Trump.
Fantastic Speech
Michelle Obama made a fantastic speech. It certainly was not divisive. That does not mean one has to agree with it.
I call it fantastic because in difficult times, it did what it was supposed to do. I would say the same about any speech Trump or anyone else based on the same criteria.

In typical fashion, you use an establishment hack to make your point. Wallace has long been a Never Trumper. Why didn’t you use quotes Kasich or Romney? You are one sick puppy, just like the Obama’s who advocate for the green socialist agenda being pushed by their party. I know you blacklist my comments, but please note that I do copy and forward them to my distribution list to make sure as many people as possible know what you’re all about.
I thought the speech was pretty political for a non-political.
Mish is right about the deaths. Excess death is the only indication we will ever have, even though it is imperfect (death statistics are noisy and have up and down swings that are not always easily factored).
Corona deaths are both undercounted (people die without PCR confirmation) and overcounted (died with/of Covid; presumed Covid by symptoms); moreover, various institutions and doctors apply different criteria, and various jurisdictions are often not on the same page, making statistics hard to compare; and test capacity has been very uneven in time and across the globe.
Chris Wallace is anti-Trump. Contrary to popular belief, FOX has shows hosted by people who don’t like Trump. FOX is to the right, but they aren’t as far right as CNN and MSNBC are to the left. Probably explains why their ratings are way higher than the others. Their news, while biased, is closer to the truth.
If one were to attack the speech, they should go after her claim of never-ending list of innocent people of color continue to be murdered by police.
Wait til we have a couple of hurricanes hit in the next few weeks.

America was not built on empathy, but on slavery and survivalists going out west. Trump will win. The America Michelle speaks of doesn’t exist.
I think the ultimate argument against Trump is not so much the bigotry but that he’s not up to the job and engages in self dealing. The economy and the virus handling are probably driving polling the most.

Michelle Obama was right. Being president doesnt change who you are. It reveals who you are. We are seeing that play out with Trump. The emperor has no clothes on and there is nothing he can do but get angry and try to cheat more. It is who he is.

I am a white male and I did not feel this way at all. On the other hand, your use of “POS” as a descriptor constitutes hate speech, and is a direct example of the hatred you are supposedly speaking out against.
