The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Georgia manual recount Confirms Biden Victory
The recount found that Biden received 12,284 more votes than President Donald Trump.Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger plans to certify the election by Friday, a deadline set by state law to finalize results.
Trump gained ground in the manual recount, picking up about 500 votes compared to unofficial estimates of the machine count by the secretary of state’s office.
“Georgia’s historic first statewide audit reaffirmed that the state’s new secure paper ballot voting system accurately counted and reported results,” said Raffensperger, a Republican. “This is a credit to the hard work of our county and local elections officials who moved quickly to undertake and complete such a momentous task in a short period of time.”
The recount reviewed every ballot by hand, with humans reading the printed text or ovals on each ballot across Georgia’s 159 counties.

It is extremely unlikely results will change. If they do, so be it.

Mish, I have to say that I am impressed at your glee for Trump losing in Georgia and how you project that the circumstances are the same in other states. I don’t know all the details of Georgia’s “secure” ballot marking system so it may very well be accurate. But I find it bizarre that you think that it is the same with states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevado and Wisconsin. All one has to do is look at the fact that Trump won 73 million votes which had outstripped every other candidate than Joe Biden. And given the utter lack of enthusiam for Biden, his health problems, the profound levels of corruption and compromising material of the Biden family, the media suppression of all that material on Joe Biden, the mountains of evidence being gathered on Dominion voting machines and by cross referencing birth, death and voting databases the millions of questionable votes in all of those states one has to wonder whether your dislike for Trump has clouded your judgement as to what is actually going on. In that context, does anyone seriously believe that Biden was able to muster up enthusiasm in a record number of Americans to come out and vote for him on election day!?! All lies filter down to the truth. I know that living in or around Chicago you maybe used to this thing. But I have the very strong feeling that you are going to be confronted with a major shock. A concert promoter was alarmed to see that in spite of selling out his 500 seat club, he was 20% short on revenue. So he ordered a recount of the tickets, which verified that in fact 500 tickets had been received. What could have happened?

So it appears Trump will try to talk these Republicans in Michigan into blocking the election certification. If that happens Biden will have to go to court to contest it, but it’s unlikely the courts would let it stand, even if it were to happen. I understand legal precedent exists to protect the certification in such a case.
As more time passes, it just looks to me like Trump, the constant campaigner….is just planning to keep campaigning…and his bogus questioning of the election is just his new talking point to keep the dumb money flowing into his coffers.
The best thing that could happen today is for Lee Chatfield and Mike Shirkey, representing the Michigan legislature, to tell Trump to piss off….but who knows.

This is just batshit. The recounts didn’t concern me because I knew they wouldn’t change the results. The court challenges didn’t bother me either. It’s Trump’s right to bring them even if baseless and as expected Trump is losing all of them. But calling up state legislators and election officials asking them not to certify results or over-ride their states popular vote smacks of election fraud.

….This week, Powell finally made an offering and it quickly sunk to the bottom of the sea. On Tuesday, allied attorney Lin Wood released “the kraken” — a heavily redacted affidavit from an anonymous former Venezuelan military official who saw Chavez many years ago playing around with a supposedly rigged Smartmatic machine.
“It is a stunning, detailed affidavit because he was with Hugo Chavez while he was being briefed on how it worked. He was with Hugo Chavez when he saw it operated. He made sure the election came out his way,” Powell said on Thursday.
Powell also claimed that Soros controlled the voting machines, because the former chairman of Datamatic is also on the board of a Soros foundation — a striking echo of a claim that appeared in The Daily Caller ahead of the 2016 election.
Even if you buy these vague claims, however, Venezuela is a different country from the United States. And Smartmatic and Dominion are different companies.
To bridge these gaps, Powell has focused on the fact that Dominion bought a company called Sequoia Voting Systems from Smartmatic in 2010. The implication is that, somehow, Smartmatic installed its Hugo Chavez code in Sequoia machines, which then went on to infect Dominion’s owner systems with this crazed election-stealing ten years later.
Intriguingly, Powell has turned these claims into an attack on American elections more broadly. She’s declared that any Republican who lost by less than six percent of the vote shouldn’t concede, with the implication that they were probably conned by voter fraud machines. At the Thursday press conference, Powell said that “Republican or Democrats candidates” may have given Dominion and Smartmatic money to “have the system rigged to work for them.”
Does this strike you as outlandish? Of course it does. On Thursday night, Tucker Carlson himself expressed utter bafflement with it all and portrayed Powell as a swindler.

I was fine with recounts too. But the recounts are in states where the differences are too big to likely shift. But Trump has the right so be it. Trump has the right to litigate but with dozens of suits this isn’t defense, its abuse of the system. These suits come poorly prepared, they lack specificity and proof and lack valid legal claims. Some of these suits simply say throw out the votes which is absurd.
