Blatantly Incorrect Iowa Caucus Math Is Now Official

At long last we have a winner, or two winners, take your pick.

Bernie Sanders won the popular vote but Peter Buttigieg will get a plurality of delegates.

Nonetheless, the AP will not call a winner because but Caucus Officials Won’t Correct All Errors, not even blatant ones.

The state party’s review indicated that Pete Buttigieg was the delegate winner, but caucus tally sheets could not be changed even if they contained mistakes, according to a lawyer for the party.

The Associated Press, which historically verifies election results and makes calls on the outcome of races, has not allotted the final delegate to Mr. Buttigieg because of the errors in the caucus results-counting, nor has The A.P. declared a winner in the Iowa race. The Times, which has followed The A.P.’s calls in the past, has not assigned the final delegate to Mr. Buttigieg.

And the new results are not necessarily final: Campaigns have until noon on Monday to request that the statewide vote count be re-examined, after the party moved the deadline from Friday.

The party could not change even blatant miscalculations on the worksheets, according to a lawyer for the party, because they were a legal record and altering them would be a crime.

“The incorrect math on the Caucus Math Worksheets must not be changed to ensure the integrity of the process,” wrote the party lawyer, Shayla McCormally, according to an email sent by Troy Price, the chairman of the party, to its central committee members. The lawyer said correcting the math would introduce “personal opinion” into the official record of results.

Correcting Math Errors Introduces Personal Opinion

Correcting the math would introduce “personal opinion”.

By the way, this includes the fact that some precincts awarded more delegates to candidates than they were allotted.

Apparently, that is a matter of opinion.

Wow.

Math is Hard

The most blatant were errors in adding up votes for candidates, which take place in two rounds, and miscalculations when using a formula that translates raw votes to “state delegate equivalents.”

Once certified, correcting math and spreadsheet errors becomes a matter of “personal opinion”. This even includes precincts awarding more delegates than they are entitled to.

It seems to me that certifying piss poor math is personal opinion and the math is fact.

But even with a degree in civil engineering and several courses in calculus plus differential equations, I stand corrected. Apologies offered.

Clearly, this new math is tricky, which is why we need an app.

Why should I learn math? I’ll never need it in my job as a hot shot programmer for Hillary. (You just hard code the final answer and you’re done!)

It’s not that we are ignorant. It’s just that we can’t comprehend the magnitude of the greed.

I don’t know if it’s rigged or not. Everyone I know who is a staunch liberal is dumb as hell when it comes to anything involving logical thought. I’m convinced the survival of the party depends on it.

“The incorrect math on the Caucus Math Worksheets must not be changed to ensure the integrity of the process”

It’s called life in the Age of Incompetence. Rank idiots in charge of absolutely everything.

I was just in Jackson, WY, visiting locals who, again, as they have been doing for the past 20 years, were complaining about the dire housing situation there. There just aren’t enough shacks to house their designated niggas, it seems.

So, to solve that near insurmountable “problem,” they are all going to dinners, walking around being “concerned”, publicly clamoring for Elon Musk to descend from the heavens to beat up Trump, donating some tiny fraction of the money The Fed stole for them to trustafarian “socially conscious” organizations providing jobs for eachothers’ equally useful children…. And other such magnanimous display of The Great America Brain anno The DumbAge.

Of course, looking out the window, at absolutely endless expanses of absolutely nothing, I’m sure finding a way to fit another nigga or two there, must seem an infinitely more daunting problem than landing people on the moon back in the day before powerful computers ever was.

150 years post “Progressive Movement”, 100 years post Fed and 50 years post Nixon putting the crowning touch on that experiment in unadulterated and obvious abject idiocy, those same utter nothings are running the Democratic (and Republican ) party. And Boeing. As well as “The Economy”; as the gaggle of undifferentiated mediocrity huddled around New York, DC, Sand Hill Road, Davos and other such puddles of undiluted leech concentrate; while screecging ever more loudly for more, more, more Fed looting of the rest for their benefit, like to pompously refer to themselves as.

Don’t understand why an SD1 of 564.302 is less than 561.528?

Buttigieg is a warmonger. That’s why the MICC is setting him up to win.

I can survive Sanders’ socialism. I won’t vote for either (nor Trump) but I prefer that those who still vote, elect someone who will get US out of other countries’ affairs whether they’re good affairs or bad ones. If the US ever returns to republican (not to be confused with Republican) government, I might start voting again.
