Let’s discuss the economic madness of Trump’s threat although it’s a ridiculous, idiotic bluff.
Trump’s Rate Cut Rant
Truth Social: Great jobs number just announced, breaking all estimates (except mine!) by double and triple – And you haven’t seen anything yet! EMPLOYERS ADDED 162,000 JOB IN AUGUST. Lower the interest rates because the U.S.A. is a much stronger credit than it was just a short time ago! A STRONG COUNTRY MEANS A LOWER INTEREST RATE – IT’S A BETTER CREDIT…Very simple! We should have the LOWEST RATE of any country in the World, like “the old days.” Without the United States agreeing to allow them their big surpluses, and we could stop that immediately, they would no longer be considered financially ELITE! LOWER THE RATE OR I’LL STOP TRADING WITH COUNTRIES WITH WHICH WE HAVE A DEFICIT, which the U.S. Supreme Court, in its ridiculous and very costly Tariff decision, strongly acknowledged “the President” has an absolute right to do. IT’S BETTER THAN TARIFFS! The Fed Board, with its great new leader, must get smart – BE PATRIOTS for a change. High interest rates put the U.S.A. at a very unfair disadvantage, and I won’t allow that to happen! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Idiotic Bluff
Mainstream media won’t use the words “idiotic bluff” but I will.
If Trump actually stopped trading with countries with which we had a deficit the economy would crash in a day, literally.
Second, the threat is illogical. The trade deficit countries are not the ones that set US interest rate policy. It’s like saying if Susie won’t eat her beets then I will kill Joe’s dog.
Third, the Fed is independent. Trump cannot force the Fed to do anything. And these threats make it more likely that the Fed will not bend to Trump’s wishes.
Former Fed Chair Jerome Powell would have resigned by now were it not for Trump’s lawsuits and threats. Instead, Powell specifically stated he would stay on after his term at Chair ended because of Trump.
That’s one more vote Trump would have if he just shut his mouth.
Countries We Could Not Trade With
- Mexico
- Canada
- Japan
- Taiwain
- Germany
- China
- South Korea
- Vietnam
- Italy
- France
Mexico and Canada are our two largest trading partners. China is third.
We could not trade with most of the world, and the US economy would collapse instantly.
Ten Countries We Could Trade With
| Country / Region | U.S. Trade Balance | Key Drivers & Context |
|---|---|---|
| Netherlands | +$61 Billion (2025) | Serves as the primary European transit hub for American oil, machinery, and agricultural exports. |
| United Kingdom | +$32 Billion (2025) | Strongly driven by American aerospace equipment, financial services, and precious metals. |
| Hong Kong | +$30.3 Billion (2026) | A major destination for high-value American consumer goods, electronics, and agricultural products. |
| United Arab Emirates | +$24 Billion (2025) | Heavily supported by large-scale purchases of American commercial aircraft and defense equipment. |
| Brazil | +$14 Billion (2025) | Powered by Brazilian demand for U.S. refined petroleum products, fertilizers, and heavy machinery. |
| Belgium | +$9 Billion (2025) | Dominated by American pharmaceutical exports, organic chemicals, and medical instruments. |
| Australia | +$8.1 Billion (2025) | High consumer demand for American motor vehicles, high-tech electronic equipment, and optical/medical instruments. |
| Colombia | +$4.35 Billion (2026) | Driven significantly by chemical components, refined oil exports, and various agricultural agreements. |
| Chile | +$4.09 Billion (2026) | Supported firmly by a robust bilateral Free Trade Agreement focusing on heavy machinery and transport equipment. |
| Spain | +$2.75 Billion (2026) | Propelled by substantial Spanish imports of American liquified natural gas (LNG) and aerospace components. |
Counterproductive Threat
There is no upside to total stupidity. None.
This may push the Fed in the opposite direction, may cause more Republicans to realize what a jackass Trump is, and it certainly won’t do anything good (in terms of anything Trump wants).
The Sunny Side
The Republican party has to be living in fear now of what idiotic thing Trump might say or do next.
For Democrats looking for the sunny side of the street, that’s a good thing.
Trade Deficit Leaps 24.4 percent

Please note the Trade Deficit Leaps 24.4 percent, Highest on Record Excluding Tariff Distortions
Tariffs did not and will not fix the trade deficit.

Hard to tell with this POTUS.
All I have left is levity, all else is inconsolable.

Au Contraire, it’s how you get totally stupid people to vote for you.
I blame the Democrats. If they cared about the US more than they want to sweep the midterms they would comit, as a group today, to Empeach and Convict today dare the Republicans in congrest to jion them, Witch they would.
Great Stu impression here
The spelling mistakes are utterly inexplicable but I must say I love how some older folks Capitalize random Words for no reason.
Senate Republicans will only feel empowered to convict Trump after they see “unexpected” losses to the Dems in November. They’re still afraid of Trump and don’t realize how toxic he’s become.
One must truly marvel at the tragic comedy of Donald Trump’s relationship with the Federal Reserve.
It is a modern myth of constant betrayal.
Every time he appoints a new Fed Chair, convinced he has finally hand-picked a loyal lieutenant who will manipulate interest rates at his whim, a strange transfiguration occurs.
The moment this chosen savior takes the oath of office, they suddenly remember the concept of institutional independence and completely stop listening to him.
It is as if the Fed Chairmanship carries an ancient, bureaucratic curse: the absolute guarantee that whoever sits in that seat will immediately develop a mind of their own.
You almost have to feel bad for a man so profoundly, consistently ghosted by his own appointees.
the FED is owned by the money center/investment banks in NYC. if any president does not cater to them or does not bail them out, that president is not long for this world. the ruling class in pax dumbfuckistan are the NYC fed and aforementioned banks.
Right. There hasn’t been commercial bank disintermediation since 1933 with the exception of the small decline in bank credit during the GFC (but that was the FED’s mistake).
Trump knows the us stock market is an AI bubble and rate hikes will pop it. It may pop regardless under its own weight.
In fairness Trump didn’t start the AI bubble. Nor did he keep rates too low for 20 years. That all started with Greenspan.
The Fed was responsible for this. But the presidents want to keep the show on the road and pass the parcel. Eventually the music stops.
Yes, the music does stop. Right after the water is washing over the deck and the cellist floats away
Do worry, Trump, Walrus, GOP, and democrats will find a way to make things even worse.™

There comes a point where these retarded bluffs will absolutely destroy and credibility about real issues in the future.
Behavior like this strongly suggest Trump has no one but yes men around him.
Nobody is calling him on his stupidity.
No one is listening now.
The bigger problem for Americans is how do we get away from this ass-clown. It’s pretty clear that the checks and balances are gone.
I think the big question on everyone’s mind is, can it be restored or do we just emigrate and watch it burn from a distance.
The 25th!
JD doesn’t have the balls. Trump would put a fatwa on him.
You have to wonder whether Natalie is writing those TS posts. Trump may be a moron, but even a moron can see the obvious inconsistency between stopping trading with countries that have a trade surplus, and wanting lower US interest rates.
he talks and she posts on TS. they are a match made in heaven of an evil empire.
they are a match made in heaven of an evil empire.

What remains of his fantasy base loves the pointless that’s and shit talking. Reminds them of professional wrestling
I agree that Imbecile Trump even knows as long as the dyslexic president has easy to comprehend Power Point presentations.
So the real problem is he doesn’t care.
Perhaps Trump will start by cutting off all exports of oil, LNG, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel etc. He might think that would lower prices in the US. That might happen in the short term, but it is self-defeating in the long term.
In reality, it would force US oil and gas companies to stop all drilling and start capping wells, and shutting in production since much of what they produce is exported. Same goes for US refineries who depend on export markets to justify much of their production.
The US economy would take a big hit.
Globally, energy prices would spike and cause a quick global recession.
What would happen with Canada’s oil shipments to the U.S. and the refineries that crack those hydrocarbons?
Midwest farmers would face both fertilizer and diesel shortages while the south would be awash in refined products and experience fertilizer shortages…
Trump could also stop all trade with Canada (assuming such a thing is even possible), which means WE would have to stop buying 4 mb of Canadian crude each day and all that fertilizer.
From CoPilot:
The U.S. Midwest would be hit harder than any other region in America if Trump halted all trade with Canada.
The Midwest’s economy is deeply intertwined with Ontario and Manitoba—especially autos, agriculture, steel, energy, and cross‑border manufacturing. Based on current trade‑war data and sector‑specific tariff impacts, the consequences would be severe, immediate, and cascading.
🚨 Core takeaway
The Midwest would face factory shutdowns, farm income collapse, energy shortages, and a political firestorm within weeks.
This is because the Midwest depends more heavily on Canadian trade than any other U.S. region.
🧭 1. Why the Midwest is uniquely exposedA. Auto & manufacturing supply chains would break overnightMichigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin rely on Canadian parts, aluminum, steel, and cross‑border assembly.
Current tariff data already shows how sensitive these sectors are:
A total cutoff would be far worse:
B. Agriculture would be devastatedCanada is a top buyer of U.S. Midwest farm output:
A full cutoff means:
C. Energy flows would be disruptedThe Midwest relies heavily on Canadian oil and refined products:
If Trump cut off all trade—including oil, LNG, and refined products:
D. Manufacturing inputs would vanishCanada supplies:
These feed into:
A full cutoff would freeze production across multiple sectors.
🧭 2. State-by-state impact snapshotMichigan
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa
🧭 3. Economic consequences within weeksWeek 1–2
Week 3–6
Month 2–6
🧭 4. Why the Midwest suffers more than the U.S. overallTIME notes that North American supply chains are “deeply integrated” and disruptions “raise costs for consumers” and discourage investment .
But the Midwest is the center of that integration.
It is the region most dependent on:
A total cutoff would be economically comparable to a regional depression.
🧭 5. The political consequencesYahoo Finance already identifies Michigan, Ohio, and Iowa as the states most vulnerable to Canada‑U.S. trade conflict .
A full cutoff would:

As the “ordo ab chao” masonic vision is quite obviously being implemented all over the planet to force-change to the NWO / digital / satanic enslavement mode, there is a certain likelihood Zion Don will do exactly this.
As mass unemployment is a major catalyst to get people to reduce their hesitancy to join war movements, setting up countries or regions to enter into wars against each other – as currently ongoing in western Europe vs Russia – is only the next logical step in the Anglo-Zionist / masonic playbook. Works every time. So far, at least.
Oh yes the real perpetrators… The masons!
Holy shit I thought the Jew conspiracy guys were funny but this is even better. Epstein and friends weren’t evil billionaires, they were actually secret Jewish Mason lizard agents! Next they’ll bring it the Jewish Space Laser to rain down DEI from the heavens!
and electricity
Don’t post slop! Fucking be a human
It does look like the northern states should be part of Canada instead.
Where’s Jesse Ventura?
That’s what happens when the currency falls against other countries.
You lost me. Please explain.
A complete cessation in trade is a far more dramatic event than a currency decline. Perhaps you mean a currency collapse where a currency becomes worthless?
Too much winning.
Trump is ……………. a LOSER
THE Loser
The suckers and losers are people that voted for him, the suckers and losers that didn’t and everyone else caught in the suckers and losers web.
Imagine shutting the flow of oil and electrical energy off from Canada based on an economically illiterate presidential order?
One day president nit-whit is stomping his feet that we need the Keystone pipeline, the next he is threatening to stop all pipelines!
And the MAGA idiots support both opposing viewpoints with as much vigor.
home schooling was a mistake who would have thunk
Grift, Golf, Bomb, Bully, Bragg and Blame, Rinse Repeat
Only 2 years and 3 months to go!
dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge
if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a Trump tariff
All this wailing and teeth gnashing is entertaining. Then there’s so much expectation of a major November reversal with so little evidence of it happening. Remember, a week is a long time in politics and Trump’s sycophants are not fools; Trump and his immediate circle are not getting poorer.
And if the Democraps do take control, the only change we plebs will see is a reduction in entertainment. Economy-wise, no change.
Trump has shown that there is no check on those you vote for so your decline is accelerating with your (unacknowledged) approval. You did vote for the uniparty so accept result.
Is there a workable exit strategy? I don’t think we can hide from our fate no matter where you go.
“I don’t care about polling, public sentiment, or anything else. All I want to do is sit here and cry like a big baby about the uniparty.”
Okay, shut up and stay home then. Whine whine whine, but no vote. No one cares and no one wants to hear your gums flap if you can’t even bother to cast a vote. It’s like watching an adult temper tantrum.
The thing about being the dumbest guy in the room is that you’re going to be the last one to realize it.
How can anyone in this government keep a straight face? The man is howlingly insane. That, or he has absolute, sociopathic contempt for everyone in this country. This is like a hostage situation straight out of Blazing Saddles: fulfill his crazy request or he will shoot us all in the foot, and drag the world into war. Not trade war; war war.
gun to his own head. blazing saddles. all time greatest comedy.
It is SO STUPID. My housewife sister could do better
First, the threat IS 100% IN CONFLICT WITH THE STATED OBJECTIVE.
IF HE STOPPED THE TRADE OUR COSTS WOULD SKYROCKET. THE BOND MARKET WOULD SAY “I’M OUTTA HERE ON ANYTHING BEYOND 2 YRS TOPS”. (Frankly they’d mostly be in Fed Funds, and people in money markets (by mandate 45 days and under avg maturity, and 18 months longest mty).
NO ONE, NOT EVEN MY SISTER WOULD STEP IN FRONT OF THE INFLATIONARY TRAIN AND SUPPORT AND KIND OF MTY (beyond SHORT TERM). TRY IT AND LOSE THEIR PERFORMANCE AND JOB.
TRUMP IS A TOTAL NARCISSISTIC FOOL -AT BEST!
trump voters are morons. they elect themselves. it’s called representative democracy. it works for ages. trump is the cult leader of morons from flyover counties…………from south brooklyn to SC and AZ. just a few places i have lived around total morons.
perhaps i’m a moron, too.
I’ve decided that IF I engage AT ALL w MAGA idiots I’ll have one simple question?
What party rules the 11 POOREST STATES?
THE GOP.
Case closed B/e they are also the dumbest. NO COINCIDENCE!
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more than just the 11 poorest. My guess would be 15 to 20.
The question is how do we get those states to secede?
Trump said it and he is right – the Fed is subsidizing trade with foreign countries through interest rates.
Lower interest rates mean lower exchange rates, cheaper US goods, more exports and more US jobs.
All the countries mentioned have lower Central bank rates other than Mexico. Why should the US get taken advantage of by not being able to control rates like other countries? Do you think the Chinese government does not control rates.
Country Trade Int%
US (953) 3.5%
China 202 1.4%
Mexico 196 6.5%
Vietnam 178 3.0%
Taiwan 146 2.0%
Germany 65 2.4%
Japan 64 1.0%
South Korea 56 3.0%
Canada 46 2.5%
China has huge subsides in things like cars, solar, steel, aluminum, and the lists go on. Each one of the countries has barriers to trade.
In an ideal world exchange rates would take care of trade deficient but they exist because of capital controls, subsidies, and distortion of central banks. We all know if China removed capital controls money would flow out of China like a glacial lake busting through a trading post because the prior one had to moved because of flood danger.
Lower interest rate does not necessarily translate to a weaker dollar. But keep in mind, a weaker dollar is inflationary (hint: still got all those imports to pay for)
How do the Chinese make any money if they are giving everything away?
How the hell did they lift 800 million people from poverty by taxing them to provide the rest of the world with freebies?
Dont they (ironically perhaps) have a more pure capitalist model of near perfect competition and minimal profit siphoned off. Ruthless pitting of firms producing near identical or identical products against each other to ensure the most efficient always wins?
ie, they put consumers ahead of rent seekers. They don’t have a huge deadweight of Wall street hucksters and vast numbers of paper millionaire retired boomers to carry around. Hence why, despite massive growth since the late 2000s, their stock market has actually underperformed the US stock market, while living standards have boomed.
That and Im convinced at least 20% of US GDP is largely illusory through medical, defence and speculative investment bubble spending. The US spends near 20% of GDP on healthcare alone. Basically twice what most what other nations spend. And yet the US has a per capita GDP of near twice a lot of western nations. If it was really productivity rather than inflation that was occuring in US healthcare, it stands to reason healthcare spending should by 5%, roughly half that of western Europe for the same outcomes, rather than the reality of worse outcomes, double the GDP cost, and as much as quadruple the cash cost.
I quite enjoyed this (admittedly probably biased) talk on china.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNK3vNg13XA
Great post.
So you are saying we are at 2% Inflation?
Not even close, and getting worse.
Oh, and our Fed is not Independent?
As Volker knew if you mess with Fed Credibility you have created a monster that can’t be put back in the cage.
Banks don’t lend deposits so why do they pay for the deposits that the system already owns.
Just because the president has a thesis, a concept, a plausible argument, does not mean he can or should destroy USA institutions on the fly to implement it. Our entire system, is created to contain such follies. The Divine Right of Kings was already tried and found to be tragically, ludicrously bad as a governance system.
The situation demonstrates there are fundamental flaws in our political system. I would suggest a Constitutional Convention but I suspect the corporations and ultra-wealthy would just steer that in whatever direction they wanted too.
It sounds to me what you have written about the FED is a black and white photo but the FED is a 4K , Hi-Def movie with a surround sound audio system.
It’s primary duty is protecting the banksters, not the presidency. It is the lender of last resort. It’s so called dual mandate is a canard to sell the public that it’s job is to protect the public from high unemployment, deflation and inflation; this is something it has not successfully accomplished because the FED has caused in my lifetime every recession in large part. They do after all regulate the money supply!
The aforementioned countries you list assuming you are correct regarding their interest rates are not the reserve currency of the world which is the primary reason the US can run fiscal deficits year in and year out and run a current account deficit year in and year out. This reserve status causes the dollar to be overvalued, not interest rates.
Every nation has subsidies. China is a better practitioner than most. The myth of Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand is a myth simply because since the invention of markets whether they were Sumerian, Egyptian, Hittite, Persian, dynastic China, ancient Greece, Roman, Arabic, Ottoman Turks, medieval, so-called Western capitalistic, socialist, autocratic, republics, communistic, mixed economies or command economies were never free markets. This is why Smith’s Invisible Hand you can’t see, because it never existed.
China is also not the only country that has capital controls. If a US billionaire. tries to leave this country to reside in Costa Rica, New Zealand, they are leaving a big chunk in the US Treasury before leaving for greener pastures and giving up their citizenship.
The only economic indicator to watch is the TruthSocial.
As long as this truly unhinged guy is around, all economic data is suspended and meaningless.
bingo. he’s our nero. it’s a good thing. all empires crumble. we need our nit wit and nasty fuck. trump is amerikan as apple pie. perk up. when we crumble and start not warmongering. we all prosper.
With a little bit of Caligula thrown in.
Can’t we just abolish the fed?
And then the money and credit supply are regulated by who, or what? Today’s equivalent of J. P. Morgan? Gold (too inelastic, too supply-constricted, absurd)? Did you see what happened when value was privatized in the failing USSR as tickets? About 20 people owned them all (and the whole country) in about 5 days.
Boris Jordan traded vodka and prostitutes…. with the workers at USSR industries for their vouchers. he is an amerikan, credit suisse banker if memory serves. who showed the other Russian investment bankers how to do that. the oligarchs did it. i saw it with my own eyes and did business with a few of them. boris is now chairman of an amerikan cannabis company. curaleaf. good guy. smart guy. don’t fuck with him.
The Keynesian economists dominating the FED since the early 60’s don’t know the difference between money and liquid assets.
trump used to make calls into AM radio talk shows in NYC and tell the DJ he was someone else. and then say he was out last evening at some club and met a good looking dashing rich businessman named donald trump. he was in his 40s and 50s. trump is amerikan. democracy works. bombs away with vile amerikans
Cynical entertaining TV sicko was inevitably the US pick.
ahh the wonderful John Baron. He was a marvel to listen to.
Some people still do the John Baron shtick to this day. There’s one guy that did it last year and he was a dead ringer. He made some ludicrous claims that were even beyond what Trump would say, so he was quickly exposed as a fraud. Life imitating art, I think.
I remember hearing that. Also, his casino shut down on opening night because there was TOO much action! They couldn’t handle all the gambling. Hahahaha!
ha ha ha. trump has only one thing on his mind at all times. how can he stay in the 24/7 news cycle by saying anything and everything that he knows will drive people nuts. the more cruel and the more destruction the better. this has been his way for decades. us new yorkers just LOL at the morons in flyover country that voted for this schmuck. we also have flyover country in NYC. south brooklyn and staten island and parts of queens…………
Right here, Trump is getting the attention he so wants. All he has to do is spend 30 seconds typing something illogical into a Truth Social post and bloggers/journalists all over the world fall over themselves covering it.
This strategy is genius (in a demented way). Now if the Fed hikes, as it should, and jobs turn down, or real GDP slows, or trade deficits get even worse, etc., Trump can say “I told you so. If only they had listened to my business sense.” His true supporters will believe and eat it up because it’s not that easy to fix stupid.
Otherwise, the earth keeps spinning. And the real economy keeps chugging along. It’s Friday so I’m off for a hike and then a beer in the sun. May you all enjoy the extended weekend (and not worry so much about one-paragraph online posts)
worry? all evil empires crumble. sometimes there are mad kings and demented rulers. caligula and nero and king george and mussolini and hitler and napoleon and so many more. a great thing for mankind when evil empires crumble btw. enjoy the weekend. i’m a little bummed the market is closed on monday. i love trading.
Wonderful to see. I hope for lots and lots more of this absolute mental retardation from our commander and chief as voters contemplate whether they’d like to still have a country in four years.
This is what you voted in America, go ahead and smell that air!
$40Trillion in debt and growing. Dysfunctional government.
Higher loan risk, Higher interest rate.
And a credit rating downgrade in the works as well!
Interest rates aren’t anywhere near high enough to cover the risks.
This puts the Fed in a bind. Suppose, for whatever reason, that they cut rates – they then look like they are surrendering to a Trump tantrum.
Suppose they don’t?
Our president is committing economic terrorism against us.
He’s not doing this as part of some evil scheme.
He’s doing it because he’s a dumbass.
Does anyone actually believe anything Trump says?
Try cutting off all trade with Canada. It might last 48 hours until things in your fridge start to smell bad.
No lights (electricity ) and no cars (oil).
Stock up on horses and candles.
Complete idiot.
The US needs Canada and Canada needs the US. That is only a threat to national security if Canada is the enemy of the US. Which Trump and his boys are working very hard at.
China just quietly keeps refining and making stuff and waiting. Trump will cause our own walls to crumble, by first isolating us behind them. Imagine being tied to a chair in Mar a Lago behind a velvet rope with this idiot, 24/7. That’s what we Yanks are now.
This just adds to the justification for the 25th amendment. Next he’ll say “do X, Y and Z or I’ll nuke the entire world, starting with the failing New York Times!”
The more he talks the more obvious it is to the average voter that he’s a total clown. For the knowledgeable its been clear for years that he has no business or any other skills, he’s just a spoiled brat, that makes noise. Just like most of his supporters
I hope he keeps it up. Being a narcissist, he will get much more unruly and childish as he faces a big smack down in November, and thats probably helpful for preventing the destruction of the US long term
I no linger think that Trump cares about elections or the results.
Trump is gonna be a pain in the republicans ass even after his term.
I hope the dems step up to the plate. Balance the budget/ pass immigration reform/ campaign finance reform/ epstien files. Et etc. force trump veto sound polices. That would be the death of the republican party.
But instead more than likely they will get drawn into the culture wars. While the republicans claim to have the solutions.
I hope I can teach my cat to sh*t strands of cultured pearls. That would nicely supplement my social security.
Excuse me!?!?
Just as likely to happen as the dems doing what Rogerroger hopes they will do.
I truly do not need that image. Stop pestering your cat!
good bet.
“I hope the dems step up to the plate. Balance the budget/ pass immigration reform/ campaign finance reform/ epstien files.”
It would be nice, Rogerroger. Dream on. Dems are even more corrupt than Republicans. They are just slightly different marketing depts. for the Epstein class that rules the US Empire.
The funny thing is: JD Vance is going around claiming Abdul El Sayed is a “crazy person” – while he himself is still Donald Trump’s VP!
It’s one of those “if you don’t laugh, you will have to cry” moments!
JD is dangerous – he actually has some smarts, but itll be interesting to see how he takes Trumps boot polish off his face
JD has peter thiel in is bottom and his mouth around the donald’s member. i think they call that a split roast. a god fearing man.
JD is just another Ron DeSantis
JD Vance couldn’t bring himself to say the word war yesterday…
Trump can’t today…
I guess that makes Hegseth the Secretary of Small Potato Conflicts.
That press conference showed what a toady Vance really is. Just another Trump ass kisser who supports all his idiotic policies.
The strong jobs report combined with the CPI/PCE data indicates a hike is warranted not a cut. It is nonsense to think the report would warrant a reaction such as this but I’ve commented countless times that all Presidents want the tailwind of cuts. In his last term they hiked UNTIL Covid. This term we’ve seen hikes again. If we see rate cuts it will be for terrible reasons. He should be happy. But that interest is really chewing into the fiscal picture. Someone was always gonna be standing in the Oval Office when the fiscal noose tightened due to past monetary and fiscal irresponsibility. He is that guy. Saying stupid things just makes one look stupid.
“Saying stupid things just makes one look stupid.”
According to MAGA, it’s a 4D chess strategy to dominate the media and lead everyone around by the nose.
I keep imagining that those people with businesses and export, or import, start to realize all this chaos is an impediment to price stability, forecasting, balance sheet management, risk control, etc.
And since they tend to vote Republican, hopefully they extract themselves from the 4D maze of delusions and wise up.
owning the libs and keeping armies of trans women out of sports is job number 2 and 3. after bombing the living hell out of anyone on planet. i hate war. but sort of glad amerikan terrorist military are gettting their asses kicked out of mideast bases.
POTUS might want to try governing instead of treating the country like his personal drama channel.
And pigs might want to fly out of Trump’s large ass
Given that this idea is currently on Trump’s demented mind though, I can’t help but think that when Canada’s counter-tariffs on US goods imports come into effect at 12:01 AM next Tuesday morning, Trump will announce that he will *completely* block at least one category of goods imports from Canada.
I expect this because the Trump admin has already signaled that it will retaliate against Canada’s retaliation. Because you know, only the US is allowed to retaliate against its trade partners, and those countries are not allowed to reciprocate. (It’s a new rule, a first in the history of trade wars!)
Watch for it!
Maybe trump can outdo the Chicken Tax!
Still better to get a Toyota.
that one is an obscure one that not one in 100 know about. hat tip to you. remember the years of FDR and the hasidic jew butchers that took FDR to the SCOTUS. and won.
Not that obscure.
In Europe everybody know about this.
Emblematic for generations about American hypocrisy while preaching free trade.
Yeah Cheese.
That’s what’s most on his mind.
He can easily stop it, since the volume is negligible.
As I commented in the Jobs Report article,
Puerile & Petulant…how log will UncleSam let this go on?
…
He is a functionary of UncleSam…just a less polished front-man than usual.
Ignore taco as always as he will chicken out. After all, the deranged clown is simply a bully among boot lickers.
if I recall right, the claim in Carl Bernstein’s The Final Days was that a mordant, tipsy Nixon was walking around the White House, talking to the paintings of former presidents. Nixon held his lawyers and spokespeople in the dark, to try to save himself, and watched them unknowingly lie to the public. DC made Nixon a wicked caricature then, but Nixon was Mister Morality and Sanity compared to this clown. Nixon did actually have some respect for the legal process, which had him quitting when that process left no paths forward. Trump just sails through anything like that, time and again. Some kind of cartoon “reality” distortion field really seems to apply. Flaunting institutions and processes seems to make him stronger.
