And Then There Were Three

Governor John Kasich has won the Ohio winner take all primary.

Marco Rubio Suspended His Campaign after being thoroughly trounced in his home state of Florida.

Regardless of what else happens tonight, let’s call this for what it is: Suspension means exit. We are now down to three.

Democrats are down to the same number they were from the very beginning: One.

These Three

The curious thing about Trump, Cruz, and Kasich is not a single one of them was expected to be in the final three. The political pundits and media darlings were Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and Scott Walker according to the Bloomberg View about a year ago.

Here’s a pertinent comment from 538 that sums up the situation nicely: “It’s clear we have more political wings in than we have parties, but our system is hard-wired — for now — to remain firmly two-party.”

By the way, I am listening to Hillary’s victory speech now. She sounds like Trump on China, and like Ted Cruz on the military. Hillary is the absolute worst of both worlds.
