Typical statist viewpoint. The nation does not own all income within its borders, individuals do. Note the structure of the income tax…it first identifies the income earned by the taxpayer and then…then…takes an exorbitant share for distribution to those who “ride in the wagon”. Enjoy your stay in the asylum.

xil, The republicans are not much different. They at least collect a significant portion of their funding from smaller donors. Both parties are beholden to the One World bunch. It will not turn out well. Trump disrupted the plan. It was supposed to be Hillary or Jeb. Different parties, same real politics (as opposed to what they claim in public).

TallTony: There are now 100 years of history regarding Socialism. Mass murder and famine are its most salient features. Please review the history surrounding Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Hitler, Tito, Mao, Kim Jung Il and Un, Pohl Pot, Ho Chi Minh, Ceausescu, etc. Tens of millions starved, tens of millions murdered. History is repeating itself in Venezuela. It always turns out this way. The US with the rest of the Western World is stumbling down the same path to the same ruin. These modern Western A-hole Socialists are no different from the bastards in the list above. When things in the West turn into a real mess, they will show their true colors. The iron fist will come down. I fear for my children and grandchildren.

The central banks are doing just what Marx said to do to disrupt capitalism. Flood the economy with money. The Left (the ones pulling the strings) in the USA as far as I can tell are the people that fund the Democrat party — The banksters and international corporations. The same people that the Left purports to hate most are the ones that finance them. They have disproportionate control of the government. They have control of the major news media, that apparently you watch too much of. The goal of this scum is one world government and one world market, both of which of course they control.

” Bernie Sanders does not need to comment on Venezuela, he has enough to talk about in his own country” Well, yes he does, because he falsely claimed one had a better chance of the American dream in Venezuela. He was lying.

” 36,000 Americans die each because they did not have health insurance. That is twelve 9-11 each year. Shocking. ” That is really rather interesting fiction.

“I believe, the USA, with Trump as President will probably go the same as Maduro’s Venezuela.” That would have been Hillary’s America, talltony. She is the socialist.

Millions of people from “shitholes”, to quote Donald Trump, want to migrate to the United States. I am sure, while they may like to go for a holiday, millions of Germans, Australians, Japanese and Norwegians are more than happy to stay where they are.

I am very saddened to hear about the untimely death of that famous baseball player, however, 36,000 Americans die each because they did not have health insurance. That is twelve 9-11 each year. Shocking.

I think he is right about the anger, though his prescription may be wrong. More so because the Davos crowd now feel that they have pulled it off. I do feel this inequality being brought about by the actions of the central banksters and politicians will some day prove to be their undoing too. I do not know when.

Bloomberg reports (https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2018-01-26/mcdonnell-s-davos-message-share-the-wealth-to-allay-alienation?__twitter_impression=true) that McDonnell then laid out a recipe for regaining the trust of the masses, including:

Paying workers a “real living wage” and allowing them to share in the profits of the companies they work for.
Recognizing trade unions and appointing workers to company boards.
A new “Hippocratic oath” for accountancy firms to tackle tax avoidance rather than encourage it.
The rich and those in power should publish their income tax returns.
A “Robin Hood” tax on financial transactions that would be used to fund public services and international development programs.

TallTony I wonder what nonsense you have been reading. Suggest you visit the US and see what it is really like. Anyone who doesn’t like it here is free to leave; however the problem we have is too many foreigners want to come here. How do you explain that, Tony?

Venezuela didn’t need to print money. They had something even better, tons of gold, silver, and Oil to sell. As for living conditions in the US, I think you have an odd and erroneous perception of how people here live.

The ‘”free market” not only saw the USA collapse ignominiously in 2007 but it also nearly took the global economy with it. In addition, Bernie Sanders does not need to comment on Venezuela, he has enough to talk about in his own country, I live in Australia. Our economy (as wonderfully articulated by Mish) is a total shambles and probably will soon collapse as well. However, I am utterly gobsmacked over the appalling conditions millions of Americans are forced to endure in that “free market”. Millions in poverty and on food stamps, people earning $7 per hour, foreclosures and millions without health care. If that is not bad enough, you have a mentally deranged President whose is surrounded by predatory capitalists who are determined to strip away whatever little rights American workers may have. Your country resembles a kleptocracy and not a democracy, I believe, the USA, with Trump as President will probably go the same as Maduro’s Venezuela.

I guess that’s what happens when you don’t have the world’s reserve currency and can’t print money like the USA.
