Congratulations to President Trump for an Excellent Summit with Putin

President Trump dropped his demand that the EU stop Nordstream2 and Russia agreed to work with the US on various issues.

Here is the 48 minute YouTube Video of the Helsinki Summit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzs15z98P6A

Criticism Abounds

The Left and Right accuse Trump of “treasonous”, “Impeachable” actions.

CBSNews Highlights the Criticisms

  • Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona tweeted that the president’s press conference was “shameful”, adding that he never thought he’d see a day when the president “would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression.”
  • House Speaker Paul Ryan said in a statement that there’s “no question” Russia interfered in the U.S. elections, citing the findings of U.S. intelligence community and separate Congressional committee investigations.
  • Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, called the meeting a “missed opportunity to firmly hold Russia accountable for 2016 meddling and deliver a strong warning regarding future elections.”
  • Former CIA Director John Brennan meanwhile took a much harsher route, tweeting that the president’s performance in Helsinki was “nothing short of treasonous.”
  • Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska, said in a statement that Mr. Trump’s blame of the U.S. for the deterioration of relations with Russia was “bizarre and flat-out wrong.”
  • On the Democratic side, Sen. Bob Mendez of New Jersey called the meeting “disturbing, shameful, jaw-dropping and disgraceful.” “I am running out of words to describe how despicable it is to see an American President capitulate to a dictator,” he told reporters on Capitol Hill.
  • Sen. Mark Warner, Vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, called the president’s blame on the U.S. for Russian interference, a “complete disgrace.”
  • House minority leader Nancy Pelosi called it a “sad day for America.” She added that Mr. Trump’s “weakness in front of Putin was embarrassing, and proves that the Russians have something on the President, personally, financially or politically.”
  • Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Florida, meanwhile said the president’s refusal to acknlowledge that Putin had a role int he U.S. elections “should alarm us all.” “The president’s unwillingness to stand up to him and defend our nation is unacceptable and embarrassing,” Nelson added.

Progress

Trump called the summit “deeply productive” adding that disagreements between the two countries are “well known” and were discussed at length in the leaders’ private meeting.

“If we’re going to solve many of the problems facing our world, then we’re going to have to find ways to cooperate in pursuit of shared interests.”

He claimed that the poor relationship with Russia has effectively “changed” as a result of the summit.

One Word

Wow!

One Sentence

Any political action that generates this much complete nonsense and hysteria from the Left and Right is worthy of immense praise.

I commend president Trump. Yes, I am serious.

Addendum

One person objected to “any”. Fair enough. To be more accurate, here is a revised sentence: “Nearly every political action that generates this much complete nonsense and hysteria from the Left and Right is worthy of immense praise.”

Is everybody happy now? I doubt it. But Rand Paul offers this amusing thought.

For you and your reprobate friends who think you are Christians, but don’t know Jesus…….. Yelawolf is keeping it real on this sorry blog! You need to go see Yelawolf in concert, Mish, although it is too late for an old reprobate like you…..

Row Your Boat
Yelawolf
You said you don’t wanna die but still you want to go to heaven
Heaven’s not a place that you can scare me into changing everything that I believe in
Leavin’ what is keeping you from walkin’ out the door and livin’ life like there’s a reason
Reason is the fear of change will leave a person locked inside a dark and mental prison
Prisoners of war, the war is media, they feed to you graffiti up your vision
Visionary super scary future they will shoot ya’ they will loot ya’ they are killin’
Killin’ power of the power that exists above us is a problem, it’s a sentence
Sentence you to pull and push and jump, when they say jump you say how high
There is no limit
Limit what they sell and what they’re givin’
Even if the whole world knows
I don’t give a damn about what they think
I don’t have to stand up to your gun
I don’t have to sit down when you say
Tell me I’m overboard
The truth is you just want to see me sink
If there’s any room left on that ship
You don’t have to save any room for me
‘Cause I’ve got my own boat
I’m doing my own thing
And I will stay afloat, even when it rains
‘Cause I’ve got my own boat
Row, row your boat
Row, row your boat
Row your boat
They marchin’ up the street they wanna fight they don’t want peace
Peace of what you have they snatch and grab
They steal and run
They pullin’ guns out on police
Police they shoot and kill, they shoot at will
They will at you, they’ll execute if you don’t leave
Leavin’ the impression no one’s safe inside this dungeon in the city of the beast
Beasts are on the corner, slingin’ poison to the junkies, to a junkie it’s a feast
Feast or famine, come examine, take a look into that alleyway that’s on your street
Streets are not the only place that you can find yourself laying up under white sheets
Sheets in Alabama cockin’ hammers, ridin’ horses, wanna handle who is free
Free yourself from anything they preach
Even if the whole world knows
I don’t give a damn about what they think
I don’t have to stand up to your gun
I don’t have to sit down when you say
Tell me I’m overboard
The truth is you just want to see me sink
If there’s any room left on that ship
You don’t have to save any room for me
‘Cause I’ve got my own boat
I’m doing my own thing
And I will stay afloat, even when it rains
‘Cause I’ve got my own boat
Row, row your boat
Row, row your boat
Row your boat

The mainstream media will keep the Russian “hacking” story alive until 2020. Why? Because Clinton/Democrats spent $1.2 BILLION and Trump only spent $646 million. And Clinton lost. You know a lot of marketing departments and ad agencies looked at that number and asked themselves which half of their ad budget they should be cutting. No way it could have been that their media buys weren’t effective because MSM is on life support, right? Absolutely not, it was “hackers.”

I just encountered you on Zero Hedge, Mish. You are entirely correct. I will be 70 years old in September. I’ve seen…nearly…”it all.” Trump has done more for peace in this world than any other president in my lifetime. Period. AND I haven’t liked many of his policies or approaches (U.S. out of Syria and Yemen NOW!!!). But I tell ya one damn thing…FBI Agent Strzok represents the Face of Washington: arrogant, condescending to the American people, entitled, psychopathic, and dismissive of any suggestion that the highly vaunted U.S. intelligence community should adhere to principles and rules. Who’s the enemy? Strzok…not Putin.

Mueller’s indictments mostly read like stand-up comedian material, but you are quite correct about the timing. But I think he and the rest of the globalist/ Deep State gang are not au fait with the thinking of the majority of voters.

The Pentagram has miraculously “lost” trillions of dollars since the Iraq war – vastly greater amounts than the already staggering numbers admitted to by Donald Rumsfeld on 9/10/2001, one day before the WTC attack (that was a case of fortuitous timing if ever there was one).

The Russia-phobe story grown by the media and now followed by the population is proof that the influence of mainstream media is still undeniable. The way people swallow up the BS is of course what ignorance looks like. Sadly, those people also have the right to vote.

Exactly. I don’t think its an accident that his background is the business of actually helping people (a doctor), whereas most politicians come from leaching trades such as finance and law. I would endorse, regardless of party, any candidate that supports banning lawyers and financiers from holding political positions.

I’m amused by the reactions here. Most have no clue that every server on the internet is under attack by hackers worldwide every day. Why do we indict the Russians, but not the Chinese, Israelis, Brits, Germans, and Americans?! What do you expect when your password is ‘Password’? Cybercurrency websites get hacked so often it no longer makes news. And they sure deploy better security than DNC and your inbox! Where are the indictments against FB and Google when they collect more information (illegally?) about everyone than most state actors?

What do you mean? Are you in league with Putin too? To refuse Hillary the 2020 nomination because she might lose again would refute the entire interference narrative, and we know that narrative is true now. There is zero doubt now that Putin stole the election from Hillary. So much so that she MUST be given the nomination again in 2020. All potential challengers must step aside. To refuse her the 2020 nomination would be evidence of traitorous activities with Putin.

Seriously I find it hard to believe the hysterical rants of the dem sycophants. I will give them that Russia hacked the dems servers and put out PR against the evil corrupt Hiliary Clinton. So what. Does anyone realize we have done the same and then some. We interfered in the Ukraine and instigated a civil war, spied on our own allies, tapped into Merkels phones interfered in Israelis elections reneged on our promise not to expand NATO or send troops and missles into the former eastern block. The list goes on and on. Really this is what the left and MIC hang their hats on??? Sure I grant you Trump is an ass and should have come up with something better to say but trying to build a better working relationship with the Russians is a good idea. Putin is no doubt an evil and corrupt leader but Russia is not that great of a threat. I also could never understand why the US and Europe were in such an uproar about Crimea. It was the Russians to begin with and Krushev gave it, while drunk, as a symbolic gesture to the Ukraine when they were under Russian control under the iron curtain They had their naval base there. You had to be clueless not to expect them to take it back. This is no reasons for sanctions against them.

Glibertarian Mish quotes two stupid comments in support of Trump’s baffling toadying, one from Ron Paul who wrongly equates another form of government with a foreign power, and another from a lunatic making the outlandish claim that the Saudis were killing “millions of people a day” in Yemen. The quality of this blog has plummeted over the last couple years, and it’s farcical at this point to pretend that Mish is anything but a contrarian troll. There are times when something is obvious, and playing the contrarian just makes you look like a foolish crank.

Trump is playing 8D Chess claim #1,055 despite the obvious. C’mon Mish, if he was so smart he would not have exposed himself to such obvious ridicule and questions to his motives at the presser. All he needed to say was “Both parties agreed to disagree on some fundamental issues, but we made productive gains on other key areas.” and repeat this answer using different words five or six times then talk about the World Cup. I could teach a 10 year old how to run a better presser than this and not make himself look like Putin’s puppet.

I find Ron Paul one of the more credible people to listen to on these issues. One of the few senators ever not beholden to corporate lobbyists, campaign donors, special interests. And one of the few senators ever to not cave to military industrial complex. And one of the few with the courage to not vote for the Iraq War.

Influenced the election?
By spending 100k on social media advertising (first indictment ) when Trump and Hillary spent 1000+ million on ads?
.
By hacking the DNC server (second indictment) to reveal how Hillary and DNC betrayed Bernie Sanders and how Hillary and Debbie Wasserman-Schulz stole the Democrat nomination from Bernie?
The hacked DNC server was also NEVER examined by FBI but DNC insisted that only crowdstrike examine it and then give a report about their examination to FBI.
Now there have been un-verified and un-substantiated claims that crowdstrike must have created an image of the server and then given this image to FBI but that is only speculation based on that being the most logical thing to do with NO confirmation from FBI.
When it comes to Hillary’s own email server it is beyond ridiculous that FBI did not take control of Hillary’s email server but instead allowed Hillary’s lawyers to separate 33,000 emails they deemed personal and then delete them and FBI also gave out immunity around like candy to these same Hillary lawyers and the IT technician etc and finally Peter “trump-hater” Strzok was the one who interviewed Hillary about her email server and just wrote down what Hillary said with NO video or audio recording of the Hillary interview by FBI being made.

I only caught glimpses of the 2016 DNC but it looked like a glorified military parade. Lennon’s been dead and gone a long time and apparently his ideals followed him. The last vestige of anti-war sentiment exited stage left the same time W Bush did. I think Cindy Sheehan kept doing her thing but the cameras stopped following her.

So yeah, the left became warmongers and they deserve all the scorn anyone can heap on them. Reminds me of how the neocon movement helped make big government palatable to the right. We’re not a land of ideals anymore.

What ever happened to “peace, love and understanding” with the LIB’s? John Lennon, “if you talk about destruction, you can count me out”? They now seem to support policies of the military industrial complex and support pro war candidates like Hillary (voted for the Iraq War, architected regime change in Libya).

The US left has fallen in love with the corporate MSM, mostly because swaths of it cater specifically to them. They’re dumb for allowing themselves to be duped so easily, but hey, nobody ever said American politics were intelligent. Also the left concentrates in cities, many of which are booming relative to the rest of the country. I’ve mentioned before that where I grew up, big old houses can be bought for under $50K. If you live in those flyover areas, it’s a lot more difficult to pretend that all is well and defend the status quo.

As far as Iraq WMD goes, nobody “blew” anything. The war has been a resounding success as much profit has been extracted since 2003. The WMD ruse was meant to get people on board with an invasion and it worked. Nothing about Iraq has been a failure and the same goes with Afghanistan.

Here’s the stark danger: this reaction is so unwarranted, so deeply psychotic that it suggests that the USA can’t be reformed and is a danger to itself and everyone else. The world will only be safe if the US collapses – unable to harm anyone. I really want to be wrong.

Have to agree with Mish’s main thesis that this much hysteria has to be good. When the likes of Graham, Pelosi, and Sasse are crying it can only be positive for the country. It also looks like Flake is desperate to carry the mantle of crazed Arizona senator that McCain held for so long.

Where is the hard evidence in the DNC server hack? I’m open to believing it was done by the Russians, but do they have hard evidence? Could Mueller win if it hypothetically went to trial?

Can we trust US spy organizations who totally blew the Iraq WMD?

When I was growing up and for decades, it always seemed it was the far left fringe that were very skeptical of the mainstream corporate media, shadow gov’t (deep state), US spy org’s…..and they read the alt media vs. MSM. It’s so odd to me how dramatically this has all reversed once Obama was elected, and has REALLY reversed since Trump was elected. Now the Lib’s are the cheerleaders of the corporate MSM, deep state, etc… Weird!

“Any political action that generates this much complete nonsense and hysteria from the Left and Right is worthy of immense praise.”

Actually this is where you go wrong. If it was just one side or the other you might be right. But the very people responsible for protecting whatever is left of democracy are saying this. Trump ran saying either we have a country or we don’t. He can’t stand on both sides of this argument and trample the very foundations of the country and then be the opposite when it comes to issues like immigration.

Time will tell. Let’s hold off on judgement until 2019 or 2020.

I’m surprised the Pauls even think this because Trump is now on the side not of liberty and freedom which is what Ron Paul stood for.
