Is Trump Inadvertently Helping the Liberals in Canada?

The answer is yes.

Trump’s childish talk to make Canada the 51st state isn’t helping.

MAGA fans find it amusing but it is backfiring.

So are tariffs, breaking Trump’s self-negotiated USMCA “Best trade deal in history.”

Fake National Emergency

It is foolish to break USMCA on grounds of a fake national emergency.

It proves that Trump may not honor any deal he signs. His words, even deals are effectively worthless.

Bullying works until it doesn’t. A backlash is starting in Canada. The anger is easily visible, and rightfully so.

Addendum

My original headline title was “Is Trump Inadvertently Helping Trudeau and the Liberals in Canada?”

Trudeau is gone. He stepped down. But these actions will make him and the new Liberal leader, likely Mark Carney, look better.

I mentioned Trudeau in the headline because the next party leader isn’t set.

But it’s better to take Trudeau out of the picture.

Registered Liberals have until March 9 at 3 p.m. ET to cast their vote with the expectation that the new Liberal Party of Canada leader will be announced later that day.

I think His entire “Immediate Staff” must speak to Trump. The sooner the better, as He does seem to be ranting too much for me, when you consider the Cabinet He has behind him. Last thing we need is Trump causing His own damage, as this is “Hard Enough” as it is…

I must have missed it, when exactly did Canada become another US State that US president Trump controlled the outcome of elections in Canada?

Yesterday went to a supply house for a few items to do some trellis building in my home orchard. Been a bit since I did that. Left in a state of shock how much costs have risen as Biden bull shit economy aftermath marches right on along.

Now there is that place called Canada just to North of US border.
Currency known as Canadian Dollar. One USD will buy 1.4454 worth of Canada currency as of Friday close.

If Canada puts in place another WEF Justin Trudeau wanabee like Mark Carney.

It hard for Americans to grasp how messed up Canada is, how much the political class has usury the democratic system of representation, and how much they hate the historic Canadian nation.

Imagine if the Extreme left of the Democrat party (not merely the Democrat party) had been in power for 30 years.

And every time they made things worse, they increased their radicalism.

Oh yeah. And they’re gleefully about it.

That’s Canada. Where you don’t work for yourself anymore (not really), you work for the government and see what’s left over.

Canada is committed to buying F35’s to replace its CF-18 fleet. If the F35 purchase is cancelled, then Canada will still have to deal with Boeing for replacement parts and upgrades on CF-18 while waiting for a european fighter to be delivered. Canada is also a member of NORAD. It’s would cost Canada a lot to re-align with European defenses.

Hamas broke the deal, Hamas has probably 20/22 hostages alive and the rest are dead. Hamas has no cards. They raised the price to 500 terrorists per hostage. Egypt’s Al Aharam newspaper criticized them. Bibi might wait until Hamas deplete its overflowing food stock during the Ramadan. Meanwhile he will close the budget. A new chief of staff will takeover this week. For a year and a half the IDF deployed quickies with a few divisions – in and out, bc the IDF is small – to destroy its enemies. Hamas is still alive ruling Jasa with an iron fist. In the the next phase of the war, if it comes in late March/May, the IDF might stay put in tranches, dissecting Hamas and starving them. Bibi isn’t afraid that Trump will kick him out of the white house. Ammunition flow cont. His enemies call him a Nazi for decades.

For three years the media never criticized Churchill II in his military fatigue. Experts
told Zelensky: u are not ready; talk only about mineral deals. For 40 min Vance was quite. After Trump said that he is not for any side. He is only for the American side, the invincible Zelensky cut him: Putin broke the deal. When JD told him that Ukraine has difficulties in the battle field Zelensky said: everybody has difficulties. U are protected by an ocean, u don’t feel your difficulties, but u will feel them in the future. Trump: u don’t know. Don’t tell us how to feel. U are not in position to tell us how to feel. We will feel very well. From there on, in the next ten min, chaos took over. Rubio was in a state of shock. This disaster ended after 50 min. Sentiment can make people stupid.
Today Churchill II, in the UK, will meet king Charles III and leaders of: France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, NATO…Zelensky needs their support, fearing that the Trump/Vance administration have abandon him. Zelensky got a hug from Keir Starmer.

I sure hope its not the liberals again. Remember, the Finance minister of Canada (Freeland- just resigned recently) is very close to George Soros–she was planned to write his biography for him.

That’s this country. Canadians are so steeped in socialism and virtue signalling that they will beggar their neighbour for the flashy guy in a suit.

Meanwhile, the ‘Conservative’ alternative is a Privy council member, never had real job in his life, and went to India to help push the invasion of his supposed nation of Canada.

Some alternative. Unfortunately, he’s the better choice.

While a Conservative majority is a possibility, its more likely we get another Conservative minority with the NDP (a communist party!!! YES!!) as the swing controlling party.

Canada is truly screwed, and most Canadians are just incredibly passive about the whole affair.

Let’s hope Canadians aren’t stupid enough to still re-elect the liberal party, but its far from certain. ALL our media is state controlled and state funded.

An interesting statement that I felt compelled to investigate.

Other than the CBC, what other media in Canada is state controlled and funded. Got a list? I looked at several lists of 20, 50, and 100 Canadian media companies and they are all private, and certainly not state controlled. This includes Telecom, Newspaper, Television, Magazine, Internet, etc.

So, I would love to see your list and your proof.

Also, as a Canadian, do you follow Canadian Media more than American media? Because I suspect a lot of Canadians follow American media, since we have the largest media companies in the world.

I wouldn’t call them liberals in Canada when it comes to wanting to remain a country. It only took Trump 1 month or so but there are signs everywhere even people who voted for him have buyer’s remorse. Usually that takes about a year or two to occur. Trump is so great, he did it in 1 month. Egg prices up again along with fuel prices. The US military may have to start buying fuel from other sources as Norway and other countries start cutting them off. It is going to feel more like Russia by the middle of summer. Just FYI. The grid is now completely unprotected as Hegseth has completely told all cyber operations to stop any offensive or defensive actions. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Trump & the Pubs refusing to criticize him, are setting up a huge snapback come the midterms. I won’t be surprised based on all that Trump has “done” so far if both houses of Congress turn into a super majority for the Dems. That should be big fun!

James Carville: It’s Time for a Daring Political Maneuver, Democrats
Feb. 25, 2025
By James Carville – Mr. Carville is a veteran of Democratic presidential campaigns, including Bill Clinton’s in 1992, and a consultant to American Bridge, a Democratic super PAC.

The Republican Party is all too often effective at campaigning and winning elections, but there’s another fact about it that a lot of Americans forget: The Republican Party flat out sucks at governing. Even Tucker Carlson agrees with this. For all the huffing and puffing on the campaign trail in 2016, the first Trump administration largely amounted to tax cuts for the wealthy, 500 miles of a border wall and a destructive pandemic gone viral. George W. Bush got us into a harebrained war in Iraq and then tried to privatize Social Security while letting our financial system drive smack into the Great Recession. And George H.W. Bush governed his way into a one-term presidency because of the economy.

For Round 2 in office, instead of prioritizing the problems he campaigned on — public safety, immigration and the border and, most of all, the economy — President Trump is hellbent on dismantling the federal government. To accomplish this, he has put his faith in the most incompetent cabinet in modern history: a health and human services secretary who is already targeting federal vaccination efforts and dumped a bear carcass in Central Park as a fun prank at age 60, a director of national intelligence who was devoted to an allegedly abusive yoga-centered cult, a WWE tycoon turned head of Department of Education and a former cable news talking head as defense secretary. Which will result in one clear thing: disorder. There will probably be more enormous tax cuts for the wealthy and Medicaid cuts hitting a lot of other people, but there is nothing the American public despises more than disorder and a broken economy.

And there’s nothing Democrats can legitimately do to stop it, even if we wanted to.

With no clear leader to voice our opposition and no control in any branch of government, it’s time for Democrats to embark on the most daring political maneuver in the history of our party: roll over and play dead. Allow the Republicans to crumble beneath their own weight and make the American people miss us. Only until the Trump administration has spiraled into the low 40s or high 30s in public approval polling percentages should we make like a pack of hyenas and go for the jugular. Until then, I’m calling for a strategic political retreat.

I see no evidence – yet – that Trump is pissing off the people who voted for him. There’s no way Dems will get a “supermajority” in either house, much less both. They could retake the House. That’s because the Democrat and Republican parties are now reversed in terms of who does better in midterms. Used to be the GOP. Now that the republicans’ base is blue collar, they turn out in higher numbers in presidential years – at least with Trump at the top of the ticket. The midterm electorate is now more weighted toward eggheads, lesbians and Never Trumpers. Bill Kristol is all three.

I agree the GOP does a poor job of governing, but that’s primarily because of all of the RINOs.

“Trump administration largely amounted to tax cuts for the wealthy”

We do have a progressive tax code. You understand this, right? The top 1% pay 40% of all taxes paid, so if you enact a progressive tax cut, then they get a bigger cut. You can disagree with this all you (and I’m not saying I like it) want but changing this way of doing business will be very difficult.

“500 miles of a border wall”

That’s 500 more miles than Brandon built who tore down some of the barriers.
And Trump did this without official Congressional funding.

“a destructive pandemic gone viral”

Which was caused by the Wuhan lab which Trump quickly pointed to as the source, but the liberals quickly covered this up, lied & broke the law just like they do about EVERYTHING.

If you think the Dems are better for America, then you are crazy. Just utterly batsh!t crazy.

The liberal leadership vote is March 9, 2025 and Canada will have a new PM, most likely Mark Carney, annointed as new liberal leader and new PM, despite never being elected. Stupid system. He has already been caught lying repeatedly during the leadership campaign, so more of the same. Either Mr. Carney will call a snap election or the Canadian Parliament will fall with a nonconfidence vote by March 26 because the Canadian Gov’t must, and I do mean must under law, approve more money to be spent. Either way, election soon. The Canadian Conservatives, led by Pierre Poilievre, have been +20% ahead of the extreme-left liberals for almost a year. President Trump has certainly been helping the liberals with tariffs On / Off / On, maybe Off. Canada is certainly within the US sphere of influence and is realistically a vassal state which the US uses to its advantage by importing landlocked Canadian oil at massive discounts, then refining in the USA Midwest, LA, TX, and selling at considerable markups on the world market. Nothing wrong with this, it’s business. Massive profits for US hydrocarbon industry exploiting cheaper Canadian oil. Good on them. Stupid Canadians. As you have repeatedly stated, Mike, remove oil from the US-Canada trade figures and it is CANADA that has the trade deficit and Mr. Trump is creating resentment within Canada because he is reneging on his executed USMCA Agreement which he boasted in 2018 as “The best trade deal in the history of the world.” If Mr. Trump would have waited 90 to 120 days he would have had a conservative Canadian gov’t to deal with who are much more aligned with his goals on security, energy, crime, war on drugs, etc. By the way, Mr. Jamil Jivani, Conservative MP, matriculated at Yale law school with Mr. JD Vance and gave a bible reading at Mr. Vance’s wedding. It is with these types of high level relationships that the relationship between the USA and Canada can be re-strengthened towards the common goal of prosperity. However, right now the extreme left-wing French Canadian liberal party is dominated by eco-zealot socialists and with President Trump talking about annexing Canada and calling it a 51st State is just fueling the embers of a dying liberal party and breathing life into what must be rapidly extinguished as a political entity. The resentment towards Mr. Trump is a beacon of opportunity for the Canadian liberals and is certainly being used by them for their own political advantage.

Trudeau is not running in the next election and has resigned as Prime Minister. The thesis is accurate. Trump is helping the Liberals and their soon to be anointed leader Mark Carney.
