MAGA Evangelical Leaders Dedicate a Statue to Their New God, Donald Trump

Unfortunately, this is not satire. Please tune in.

At the Trump National Doral Golf Course, evangelical leaders gave praise to a gold statue of Trump. Trump delivered an audio message.

https://twitter.com/BillWilde388919/status/2052940508964483296?s=20

Mocking Catholics

“The statue is beautiful,” says Trump.

This video shows a dedication for the “Don Colossus” statue at Trump National Doral in Miami on May 6, 2026—not Mar-a-Lago. President Trump was not physically present; he called into the ceremony by phone to address the crowd.

It’s not like they are idolizing Trump, is is?
Let’s check.

“The dedication of President Trump’s gold statue is the most inspiring event in American history since Christ’s Sermon on the Mound. Now we are all free to publicly worship our chosen savior without fear of persecution, just as scripture commanded us.”

The above comment was by Gary Peterson. I was wondering if his comment was satire.

A quick look at hos bio provides the answer: “Patriot. Bible Reader. Mall Santa. I like WOMEN! Bass player for our church band Shifty Nelson & The Dixieland Scooters, who puts America First.”

Leviticus 26:1

New International Version
“’Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God.

New Living Translation
“Do not make idols or set up carved images, or sacred pillars, or sculptured stones in your land so you may worship them. I am the LORD your God.

English Standard Version
“You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the LORD your God.

Webster’s Bible Translation
Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am the LORD your God.

In the end the Hebrews drank their God given gold gathered from the Egyptians after being burnt and ground.

Exo 3:21
And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty,
Tools
Exo 3:22
but each woman shall ask of her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. You shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.”

Exo 20:23
You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold

Exo 32:4
And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden[fn] calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Exo 32:20
He took the calf that they had made and burned it with fire and ground it to powder and scattered it on the water and made the people of Israel drink it.

I think there’s something deeper going on here Mish, and I’d like your thoughts on it.

It feels like this entire photo shoot was made to showcase the two Jews they invited. So much so that I think this is intended to make Jews look evil. Hear me out.

A lot of the people behind Trump famously don’t like Jews, and Trump is too dumb to see their angle. People like Miller and his ilk might be hoping to drum up antisemitic sentiment by going out of his way to arrange shoots like this that can later be used to sway the post-Trump right into hard antisemitism (not anti-zionism, which is not inherently antisemitic despite what Israel says).

This sets up a “stab in the back” explanation for the right wing on why Trump was such a failure of a president: The Jews did it! It cleanly absolves the right of being morons for voting for this clown and gives them a scapegoat not nearly as hard to harass as Latinos.

I had to make an effort to wrap my head around what you are trying to say.

First, any supporter of Trump that doesn’t like jews has long left the Trump train. Largely as a result of his war(s) which have violated his pledge on no new wars and which have undisputedly been launched on behalf of zionists.

Second, how would Stephen Miller expect to escape the onslaught of the very antisemitism he is supposedly inciting? Does he really think anyone would make a distinction between antisemitism and antizionism?

Seems these Christians don’t know or care about the 10 Commandments. See #s 1 & 2:
The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)
1“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

Trump is absolutely a metaphorical Anti-Christ. I’ve posted this opinion before. I felt the same way about Obama. Obama was a fake; someone who promised to save the masses, yet was actually working for Goldman Sachs and the big banks. That’s who he was the savior of.

I’m a religious/spiritual person but I do not believe in the “supernatural”. The concept of a literal Anti-Christ is just superstition in my opinion.

If there is such a thing as a “soul” it has to obey the laws of physics. The human mind exists in brain cells and once those cells die, all memories and cognition disappears. There are religions that do not believe in an afterlife and I’m afraid they are correct.

My opinion is this: You are already in heaven right now. This is it. Earth is Heaven. Make the best of it. If you think your life is a living hell, try to make some positive changes. Life can be beautiful. It’s what you make of it.

Appreciate the fact you are part of a beautiful universe and that you sprang to life from inert matter, which is a miracle no matter how you look at it. Humans are the ultimate irony: matter examining itself and discovering itself and describing all the laws of physics that apply to itself. It’s really mind blowing when you think about it.

Wow. You’ve got it all backwards, your human manifestation is a transitory state. You aren’t cells, chemical or physics, what you are in words you humans can understand are a “radio frequency” tuned to a human state specific to you.

The purpose of this state is to gather experiences (data) for the sole purpose of “feeding” the continuity of “infinity” of the universe. There are so many layers to the universe, you have no idea. Nothing created is destroyed, it is merely transformed.

You want to take a sneak peak of the other layers take some DMT or psilocybin. At your age you’ve got nothing left to lose. You can find those trips down in Costa Rica if you’re up for it.

I was just giving my opinions on how I see the world. Nobody really knows the true nature of things. Not you, not me, not even the all-knowing Trump.

When I read “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” as an adult I realized it’s basically an argument that there is in fact a God (however you define it).

Humans know (and will ever know) a minuscule fraction of all there is to know.

Tenacious D

Reply to  Mike T

The experiment ended a long time ago. With forced vaccinations in 2021, with the closing of the gold window in 1971, with Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, with FDR’s confiscation of gold in 1933 and subsequent revaluing of gold to $35/oz., with the creation of the Fed in 1913, with the 25th amendment in 1913 which set up the popular election of Senators, with the creation of the income tax in 1913, with the War Between the States from 1861-1865 and the subsequent death of state’s rights, with Marbury vs. Madison, with the establishment of 1 BUS by Washington (playing Othello to Hamilton’s Iago whispering in his ear) over Jeffrson’s objections…. We can quibble about the exact point the experiment died, or perhaps we can observe that it has been a 250 year-long process with several memorable events along the way, but there is no experiment anymore. Hamilton’s camp has won; Jefferson’s has lost. Jefferson’s and Jackson’s faces on the $2 and $10 FRNs is the ultimate FU from the bankers.

Coincident with the death of the experiment, the Government stopped having integrity a long time ago. Government is not reason, it is not eloquent, It is force. And like fire, it is both a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

The US was never a government with integrity. The country just had enough natural resources and the rest of the world was poor enough to overcome the corruption. We’ve just reached a point where the natural resources have been pretty much used up, much of the rest of the world has caught up economically, and hypocrisy is no longer a sin.

Let’s talk about a stay-in-place strategy for those who can’t leave. That might be more practical for a lot of people.

1. Buy a MAGA hat (🤮) and start wearing it, sweat ring in the brim, etc., so it doesn’t look like you just bought it on the day you really need to blend in.

2. Attend a Trump rally, and get your picture taken there. Even if it’s just outside. Hold onto it for the day you need to blend in. Maybe spend some time talking to the MAGA idiots and taken note of how they talk, what they talk about, how they dress, so you can blend in when the time comes. Maybe hit up the local Goodwill to buy a few outfits after seeing how they dress.

3. Start discreetly prepping. Store up several (3-6 or more) months of food, medication, and other essentials. Be sure to use the food you have stored (and replenish it) on a regular basis so it does not go stale.and so that when that is all you are eating for a time it is not such a shock to your system.

4. Create margin in your finances. Get out of debt.

5. Don’t flash your cash. Look like you are of modest means.

6. Find others like you that you can lean on when the crisis comes.

Any others?

You say “those who can’t leave” but if you look at what has been happening in Palestine, Ukraine, Middle East (Dubai, Qatar, etc) and the common pattern is to leave. Its the same story from Egypt to Rome to Germany, things go south and you stay and suffer or you leave.

I know you have a disabled bro but what you should do is have a plan on how to evacuate somehow. No one said it would be easy but if you were forced to do it, how would you handle it? Best to have that conversation now rather than later.
