McCain’s “Legacy” Lives On: What “Legacy” Is That?

McCain’s Legacy

  1. In the 15-year war in Afghanistan wasting over a trillion dollars.
  2. In drone policy, where the US military gets to act as prosecutor, judge and jury, where innocent lives are tossed aside as “collateral damage”.
  3. in support of useless weapons systems like the F-35 that McCain supported.
  4. In asinine foreign policy in Syria and Iran.
  5. In hypocrites and comedians like Kathy Griffin singing the praise of McCain.
  6. In mainsteam media looking the other way when thousands of innocent children are killed in Yemen.
  7. In support of torture programs despite McCain himself being tortured.
  8. In support of holding people with no charge in prisons in Cuba.
  9. In support of meddling in Ukraine while accusing Russia of meddling in the US.
  10. In support of sanctions that kill or harm innocent people.
  11. In support of no-fly zones along with Hillary that may have meant direct confrontation with Russia.
  12. In ISIS, a direct result of misguided US policies that McCain strongly supported.

McCain died from brain damage. Clearly his brain was damaged long before his cancer diagnosis.

Unfortunately, McCain’s “legacy” lives on.

Addendum: Condolences Offered

Some people accused me of being disrespectful of the dead. They are of course correct.

Taking a cue from @triniwatchman for the idea:

Condolences and best wished to the friends, family, and loved ones who died at the hands of the policies that McCain embraced.

Fuck that asshole McCain. Disrespectful enough? If not, I’ll try harder next time.

Interesting to see the charade of love/respect now being showered on McCain… don’t really understand it. He will not have a ‘legacy’, and no amount of faux respect is going to change that… so all of this creepy McCain love is just the Swamp trying to ‘protect’ one of it’s own? Doesn’t make any sense otherwise.

“Condolences and best wished to the friends, family, and loved ones who died at the hands of the policies that McCain embraced.”

Perfectly said. Everybody should save the condolences for the innocent lives that McCain helped destroy.

He’ll be viewed as the greatest politician ever for a week or so. Just like Aretha Franklin was the best singer ever last week. I personally never liked him, but he’s gone now. Time to move on and hope his senate replacement is better..

Kathy Griffin praising McCain?

Obviously, there is an extreme propaganda campaign going on. It is rather transparent.

McCain’s legacy lives on as the face of modern fascism born of ignorance and limited education. When history looks back, assuming it survives the inevitable rewrite, people like McCain will come to exemplify the decline of 21st century political order. Perhaps in a future when Democracy has finally evolved to include regular audit by public jury.

Interesting how the liberal media is now in love with Republicans like McCain, they now seem to like GWB a lot more now then when he was prez, they love the leaders of US spy organizations like Mueller who were part of the pre Iraq WMD “evidence”. Very interesting indeed.

Shortly after news of McCain’s death, people were half-joking that yesterday’s airstrike killing 22 Yemeni kids was a tribute to him. They’re right, that’s exactly the kind of tribute McCain would have sought. Nothing delighted him more than advocating for war, and the more senseless, the better.

The guy clearly had no respect for life, so it’s mystifying why others are expected to respect his.

McCain was never president. Supporting another’s policies based on faulty data isnt a legacy

Read somewhere Trump not invited to funeral at McCain’s request. No love lost there then.

Trump seems to be the only politician who stood up to McCain and is not singing his praises after his passing…

Sadly most of the government still endorses these items 1 to 12 so McCain had lots of help. There is also his poor performance as a pilot and selling out to the S and L swindlers in the eighties. Not to mention selecting Sara Palin as vp candidate. Come-on was that the best he could come up with among the thousands of politicians with experience.

The US Military lost almost 10,000 aircraft in Vietnam. McCain was just one of those. Were the others flown by “poor performers”? You can find other things to disagree with McCain on, but criticizing his performance in Vietnam is a non-starter with me unless you have something very specific to tell us. I was one of those who, by the grace of God, did not get shot down on more than 200 missions. Take a look at the record of the F-105, for just one example; 833 were built. 334 were shot down. One F-105 wing in Thailand lost more than 100% of their planes. Each one of those had a pilot on board. Were they just “poor performers”? No, they were merely doing their job of daily attacking the most heavily defended airspace in the world at the time and being directed by a completely incompetent President and Sec of Defense. 5 1/2 years in a N Vietnamese prison with two broken arms is something everyone should experience to find out just who you really are.
