Trump Begs the World for Military Assistance After Saying Help Not Needed

Hello world, send help!

Trump Begs for Military Assistance

Truth Social: Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Do burning ships and refineries suggest that Iran’s military capability has been 100 percent destroyed?

Does begging for help suggest that either?

Another Iran Response

US Needs Ukraine’s Assistance with Drones

Important Word About Drones

Iran’s Cheap Drones Are Draining America’s Most Expensive Missiles! Each Shahed drone costs as little as $20,000. The Patriot missile fired to destroy it costs over $3 million. Do the math. After three weeks of war, that arithmetic is becoming a serious problem for the United States. Tehran has stumbled onto something more effective than any grand military strategy: exhaustion by attrition. Flood the skies with cheap, expendable drones. Force your enemy to respond with weapons that cost 150 times as much. Repeat until their stockpiles run dry. It is not sophistication. It is not even courage. It is economics.

The Pentagon just asked Ukraine to help kill Iranian Shahed drones in the Gulf. That is not irony. That is the most elegant strategic reversal of this entire war.

One Iranian Shahed drone costs $30,000 to manufacture. One Patriot interceptor missile costs $1.5 million. For every dollar Iran spends building a drone, it costs the UAE $20 to $28 to shoot it down. Iran has tens of thousands of Shaheds. The Gulf states have a finite number of Patriot missiles and a finite production rate to replace them.

Ukraine spent three years solving exactly this problem. When Russia began deploying Iranian Shaheds against Ukrainian cities in September 2022, Ukraine could not afford to burn $1.5 million missiles against $30,000 drones indefinitely. So Ukrainian engineers built something different. Interceptor drones. Small, fast, cheap, designed specifically to kill other drones at a fraction of the cost. The interception ratio is not 1:50. It is closer to 1:1. Drone kills drone. The economics invert. Ukraine went from being the world’s test laboratory for Iranian drone warfare to being the world’s leading expert in defeating it. And now the Pentagon, watching Gulf air defenses burn through interceptor stockpiles against Shahed swarms, has picked up the phone to Kyiv.

Did Trump Thank Ukraine?

Of course not. In fact, Trump removed sanctions on Russian oil.

Here’s another irony of the war. Ukraine has given more assistance to the US in 2026 than the US has given Ukraine.

Churchill tried taking the Dardanelles from the Ottoman Turks during WW1. Similar situation as the Straight of Hormuz. 500,000 casualties, something like 46,000 dead Allied troops and 25,000 dead Ottoman Turks .The Ottomans were not using equipment much better than muskets and cannons.Churchill failed. He was relieved of command. Similar situation now with respect to the Straight of Hormuz except the Persians(Iranians) have a low cost, highly technically advanced military. It would be an epic bloodbath and our military commanders know it…

Meanwhile the Houthis are getting ready to block access to to the Red Sea…

What a mess….

If Iran is not stopped now, it will develop their nuclear weapons, then the Strait of Hormuz will be permanently closed unless substantial monies are paid to Iran for safe passage, and there will be nothing anyone can do about it.

Too late. Their smart play is to keep the Straight of Hormuz closed and bring the world economy to its knees. US bases have been obliterated, we are distrusted by all the gulf states now because instead of our promised protection we proved ourselves to be completely impotent. And we’ve insulted and ostracized all our allies. Heck of a job, Donnie.

Well, the good option was for the US/Israel to NOT have started this war. Now that they did , the options available moving forward are all pretty grim.

Option 1 – Assuming that the Iranian leader who had his father, wife, daughter and granddaughter killed right in the start of the war is willing to talk: End the conflict now with some sort of cease fire and accept the status quo. Obviously will save lives and relieve the economic pressure. But you end up with an Iran dramatically more resentful and paranoid of its neighbors and an IRGC even more influential on Iranian politics than before. And now that Khamenei is dead, Iran will for sure pursue a nuclear weapon at all costs. The petrodollar will be dead and so will America’s ability to run huge deficits.

Option 2 – Try to achieve regime change/regime submission so you end up with a tamed and controlled Iran. Who knows how long that will take and how many lives it might cost, assuming that is even possible at all. If the flow of oil is disrupted for long due to a dragged out conflict, expected political crisis and instability worldwide as prices skyrocket and economies shrink.

There is also a risk that if the US try Option 1, Israel could threaten to use nukes in Iran unless the US stays in the fact, similarly to what they did in 1973.

Either way, we ain’t getting lube for this. 🤣

Option 1 – yeah. We just galvanized a nation against us for generations. Unified them behind a common enemy.

Option 2 – if we commit we have to answer to the UN. I know everybody says they are weak but if not collectively then the USA will have to answer China, Europe, Russia, and pretty much every single pseudo Ally we ever had that uses oil from the Middle East. In time, we can expect them to turn against us and start supporting Iran.

For 50 years they have been in a position to shut down the strait of Hormuz every single day and they never did until now. I wonder what the motivation could have been?

This could be a very good argument for going to a completely green economy. Have you thought about that or are you too busy clinging to your leaders Robes?

Does green include nuclear or is limited purely to unrealistic unicorn farts and rainbows, i.e., solar in Minnesota and intermittent, negative ROI wind turbines? If so, I think so. However, only 2-3%of US oil and gas comes through the Strait of Hormuz. Nonetheless, we are a fake empire, which foolishly spends trillions of dollars on endless wars supposedly for oil but then fails to recoup the “investment” by permitting oil and gas to continue to be a fungible, freely traded market rather than seizing it for our sole use. Hence, even though our exposure is technically only limited to 2-3% we are fully exposed through the fungible market.

I don’t understand – there is apart of my family who absolutely thinks Trump can do no wrong. Today I see the Strait is closed, the price at the pump is 27% higher, diesal is up about $1.50 a gallon; we can’t risk our naval ships in a war we started to protect tankers after telling everyone we beat the heck out of them and need to ask other nations to help; 13 service members have been killed, 13 families who won’t get back their brother, son, father; about 150 personel have been injured, the Jerruselum Press is reporting 5 KC tankers have been damaged on the ground (not counting the two in the collision). They hit the school with a Tomahawk and claim the Iranians fired it themselves. Now I see he wore that hat to a memorial ceremony with a logo and he’s using the picture for fund raising. Yet, some people think this guy walks on water (sorry don’t mean offend anyone). I just don’t understand. If a general did this they would relieve them yet people are saying what is the problem. Like I said, I just don’t get it….

Back in elementary school, there was a kid who would pick fights with others for no reason, get beaten up, and then try to rally his classmates to gang up on the kid who beat him.

This is pretty much the same, but at a strategic level. Yes, tactically the US forces are vastly superior, but what matters is that on the strategic level they are getting their asses whooped and that is all that matters.

I don’t think there is a bigger admission of defeat than this. Trump started this fight, but now he does not know how to end it.

If he just declares victory and walks away, the Gulf countries are fucked, the petrodollar is fucked and ultimately the US government will no longer be able to run endless deficits. It will be the end of the empire.

He can try to escalate the conflict, but it is politically very difficult as the war grows increasingly unpopular and the continuous closure of the Strait of Hormuz causes more economic losses. The reality is that Iran can take a lot more pain than the US.
This is the result of hubris combined with ignorance. Of a “bro” culture that has contempt for intellectualism and embraces a teenager’s view of what strength and confidence are.

I used to comment on Smoothiex 12 but stopped a few months ago – near the last comment I made was schooling, Larch 445, a long term commenter on Saker, Zero Hedge writer etc,. etc. who disagreed with my contention as thus:
Iran has had decades to prepare for what we told them we were going to do – the “FAKER ISRAEL PROJECT”. Decades. Iran has their own heavy truck industries they can crank out 5 extra missile launcher trucks a day. 1500 a year for 10 years 150,000 launchers. If they can make 5 trucks they make 5 missiles a day too. 150,000 missiles. They can make a tunnel 5 trucks deep each day too or add to existing tunnels. But if they can double the tunnels you can move the missiles around every night, if each tunnel hold 5 trucks that’s 30,000 tunnels you need to bomb except there are two tunnels for each 5 trucks so the US has to bomb 60,000 tunnels. If you can find and bomb 10 tunnels a day with bunker bombs that’s 6000 days or about 20 years.

Larch disagreed then – but he’s in full agreement now. Iran can fire various 50 missiles a day for 3000 days. Sure send some troops mu hahahahah – they will be blown to shit. Go ahead and cut this in half 1500 days of missiles. They get targeting information and use Glonass from Russians. NORKS WILL 100% STEP UP WHEN NEEDED HOUTHI’S TOO

Iran has missile production facilities deep underground cranking them out as I type this. Iran has significant industrial capacity and they are right nice people, those in Iran BTW. The Iranians who moved to LA really do suck.

I stand by my prediction that doesn’t even include drones. They could have 100s of thousands of drones. Russia gave Iran anti jamming radio sets its why they just fly in nearly unimpeded. Oil’s going to $160 triggering the second great worldwide depression. 4th Turning right on time.

For those who like to brag about American military power, like Trump, they seem to have quickly forgotten:

The Houthis have defeated the US twice in 2 years. Remember when Biden vowed to “Open the Suez Canal!”, and failed. Then Trump had the brainwave “Biden just didn’t try hard enough!”, went in vowing to destroy the Houthis, and 60 days later had to declare victory and leave.

Score: Houthis 2, US 0

Perspective: The Houthis are 1/3 of the poorest country on Earth, Yemen

Conclusion: The Empire is falling

Today: we are talking about Iran now, who have about 500 X the military power the Houthis have…

Operation Epstein Failure will be one of the biggest geo-strategic disasters in history. Historians will puzzle over “How could Trump be so stupid?” Comparisons to Crassus will be made (look it up).

I can’t believe Trump actually included China in his list.

China if it chooses to has the best chance of opening the straight. Send in its Navy for presence. Negotiate with Iran for clear passage of its ships and any ships it is escorting. Win for China, win for Iran, win for most of the world.

But… Massive humiliation for the US. As China stepping in with its military power (even if the presence is relatively small) solves the issue. Double win for China.

The best way to open the straight is through diplomacy. Which the US (especially under Trump) and Israel has shown that you cannot trust at all.

I’m not saying this will happen. But it does seem like a golden opportunity for China to step up on the world stage.

(I’m not cheerleading China. Just analysing the situation.)

It doesn’t seem like China would have much motivation to get involved. I never trust China data, but officially only about 13% of China’s oil imports come from Iran, and China has huge reserves that they can use for a while. And of course they could just buy more Russian oil. China would probably prefer to let the US continue to deplete its supply of Patriot and other missiles. Aside from the cost of replacement, there is the issue that building a single Patriot missile requires several pounds of rare earth elements. Maybe China exports of rare earths might again be restricted? They probably get more out of just letting the situation deterioriate further for the US.

China has no reason to send ships to the strait because the strait is still open for Iranian oil tankers carrying oil to China. India has also negotiated with Iran for oil to be shipped through the strait.

As Iran has stated, the strait is only closed to US, Israel, and their allies. It is open for others.

War criminals, the lot of them.

All the people talking about escalation, agreements, negotiation, deals are mistaking trees for forests.

The US deep state judges Iran incompatible with American global hegemony and Greater Israel. It wants to control Hormuz and all energy shipping choke points globally, to be able to strangle China and dictate terms. Any attempt at a peace deal simply means a respite to US and its proxy Israel. The US gets to go to its corner and prepare for the next round of the mission to strangle Iran. Only a US exit from the Middle East and the abolition of the cancerous current state of Israel can ensure Iran’s continued existence.

Read “Which path to Persia” 2009 … all the antics are outlined there already, the gaslighting with pretending to negotiate, the pretense of a deal without following through, “leave it to Bibi” — pretending Israel is the protagonist.

US foreign policy is like a tanker, course changes take multiple administrations. Trump or Obama is just the monkey on the deck drawing attention of the media and public away from the course things are on. The President is just the saleman.

Comparing the dollar value of Iranian drones and American missiles is a fools errand.
This habit of using dollars and GDP as metrics are delusions.

Wars are about real stuff; that is all that matters, not fake metrics.
Do you think Iran will stop building drones if they run out of dollars?
Did all the GDP dollars help Ukraine? Or is it weapons & steel that decides?

People are also mistaking drones & drones. The UA interceptors aim to down tactical, reconnaissance, and FPV drones on the battlefield. The current generation of Gerani drones have jet engines, swarm, and fly too high and too fast for pedestrian Air Defense efforts; one could say they are straddling the tactical/strategic category.

He’s getting downvoted because this war isn’t going to stop them from building drones, just like Russia can’t stop Ukraine from building drones.

And Iran is 3X Ukraine’s size and twice the population, so the US isn’t gonna take it over even with “boots on the ground.”

After the American Navy and Air Force have done the most dangerous work, I don’t think it is unreasonable for Trump to ask other countries to help with the safer, but still tedious and expensive work of keeping the Strait open and keeping the peace in the Persian Gulf. The other countries haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory by waiting until the war was won before deciding to join it. The position of the Persian Gulf Arab states is understandable: Persia is threatening their water supplies and their ability to sell their oil, and they aren’t big countries that can afford to offend much bigger neighbors unless they have to.

I note that Trump is threatening to “bomb the hell out of the shoreline” along the Strait of Hormuz. That seems to me to be only sensible. If you have vulnerable ships getting attacked in a narrow sea-lane, and you have the ability to drive the enemy off the nearby shoreline, why wouldn’t you? Do you think the Russians wouldn’t threaten to bomb the hell out of Turkey if it were feasible and the Turks were preventing the Russian navy from getting through their strait in an emergency?

I think Trump has won, and shown all you armchair generals up for what you are. Good on him (or is that an Australian expression? I have to keep editing my spelling so that your American machine won’t complain about it.).

Everybody who has been making petty complaints about Trump’s mannerisms and his lack of verbal precision can now go and find something else to whinge about.

How many times has Trump declared victory only to reverse course mere hours later? He’s lying, BSing or his brain is so far gone that he can’t remember what’s going on from one nanosecond to the next.

Why should countries who were against this war be asked to risk anything to bail Trump and the Americans out? He’s betrayed all of our allies in the past 14 months.

The “countries who were against this war” are presumably relying on America to get their oil through the Strait. Trump may have bawled a few people out, but I haven’t noticed him betraying any allies. If you mean Zelensky, the Jewish head of government in the Ukraine, I think Trump has given him far too much rope.

I am on the majority side over the Israeli atrocities in Gaza.

In reply to Mish below, do you remember the old one about everybody having a plan until they are punched in the face? How would you or I know what Trump’s plan is, bearing in mind that he has a hugely expensive military establishment to war-game it for him? What we CAN see is that Trump isn’t stupid. The people who say he is have four fingers pointing back at themselves.

Trump, like Bismarck, knows that you don’t start a war and get your own soldiers killed without a reason that still looks worth it (to sensible people) after the war is over and the casualty lists come in.

In reply to njbr below, I think the Persian planning is probably contaminated by the misconception that God is on their side. As somebody said, “God is on the side of the big battalions (usually).”

interesting

you believe Iran has not considered the possibility that an opponent might bomb the heights of Hormuz to discourage attacks on the Strait

you should know that many countries have planners whose only job is–“if we do this, what might our opponents do?”

I would be entirely surprised if they do not have a plan

because Trump has had such success as a conman, he believes he is the smartest person ever

he has a bad case of hubris (only he has the answers), only occasionally punctured by panic when reality contradicts his delusions

his bankruptcies are a sign of his over-grasping, but his salesmanship lifted him out of the crisis

he’s trying hard to get some other country to take the mess, but they won’t play

maybe he’ll trade Taiwan to China for rescuing him from this

it’s a genuine possibility at this point

Americans are indeed stupid and not able to learn. Telling that war was won is like telling in 2001 that we won in Afghanistan. Only there we might consider we had some temporary success as we took Taliban down, even though for few years only.

Here Trump already dropped regime change. Nothing was won so far, Iran regime is as strong as before and Trump is trying to get out of there.
Only problem war cannot be stopped easily now.
If USA withdraw Iran will keep bombing Israel. So we cannot really leave now and that is why Donnie is begging for help.

Disagree. Iran will stop the attacks when the US and Israel stop the attacks. That was already proven last June. So you are wrong about that.

Israel will keep on attacking Iran and will expect the US to defend it all the way through to its conclusion. The war will end when Israel stops attacking Iran, whenever that is.

That was then. This is now. A ceasefire last year didn’t stop Iran from being attacked now. They’re not going to make that mistake again. Israel’s desalination plants will be destroyed. Maybe even Dimona. I expect Israel to use a nuke – and maybe multiple nukes. Then what? Pakistan nukes Israel? Maybe Iran will have their own nuke(s) ready to go by then (in 2-4 weeks).

The best thing to do now is to position for profit on both extreme ends:

  1. The war somehow comes to an end after someone capitulates – oil crashes to $50 but the damage is done and a recession hits around the world.
  2. The war escalates and oil reaches $200 and then the world economy crashes like its 1929.

Lots of ways to play this for profits galore.

Got Puts?

Iran is loading oil into two tankers at Kharg island today. Probably on their way to China. One day after the US attacked military installations on the island.

And Trump is actually begging China to help keep the strait open. Why would they bother? They are still getting their oil.

India is trying to negotiate with Iran to get some oil as well. Iran might let them get some.

I expect the strait to remain closed for a while and for oil prices to keep rising. High oil prices will cause a global recession and eventual demand destruction. Though demand destruction won’t happen till prices get over $120. Or perhaps as much as $150.

I will keep selling my oil stocks bit by bit over the next few weeks as oil prices rise and stocks keep hitting new highs. Keep building my cash holdings and wait for the global recession and market correction.

As I said before, exits at oil $125, $130, $140, $150 or so. I expect tech stocks to crash at some point after Iran destroys a few data centers they’ve threatened to blow up. I might start picking up tech if it crashes 20% or more. I did buy a small position in IGV with options since it’s already tanked 20% or more.

What a clown show.

Trump spends an entire year insulting every country in the world and putting tariffs on them. He launched new tariff actions just this week against many countries.

He threatens to take over Greenland, and Canada. He bombs 8 different countries.

He has already done a very good job of making everyone angry with the US.

Then he attacks Iran, which results in Iran closing the strait and cutting off 20% of world oil and LNG. Which will impact the economies of all the countries in the world, likely sending them into a recession or worse. Making them even angrier at the US.

Now he is begging all those countries that he pissed off to help him clean up his mess.

Every time you think he can’t possibly make things any worse, he does.

The sad part is that even if the rest of the world comes to help Trump keep the strait open, and even if they are successful (unlikely), Iran will simply shift to targeting oil infrastructure and storage in their neighbors. So there will be nothing left to ship.

Secret Signal Chat recovered between Benjamin Netanyahu (BN) and Donald Trump (DT):

BN: Mr President, you have such big strong hands. The Iranians are afraid of you. Just take out some of their planes and ships and the regime will fold like a cheap suit.

DT: That didn’t work, what should I do now?

BN: You are the strongest most courageous President ever. The Iranian regime has never been weaker, it is hanging by a thread. Just firebomb a large Girls’ school and announce you are sending in the marines and the regime will fold like a house of cards.

DT: That didn’t work either, what should I do now?

BN: The Iranian leader is disfigured! He hides his ugly face from your powerful beautiful face. Go bomb Kharg island and the regime will fold like a poker player in a high-stakes game with a pair of threes.

DT: But I often go all-in on a pair of threes! OK, I’ll give it a try.

Article is pretty much on point, although I’d argue that Ukraine is not the current leader in drone warfare/defense. They had an head start on Russia improvising and developing drone warfare tactics, but Russia caught up quickly (with assistance from Iran) and now surpasses Ukraine and on an industrial scale in production. The latter is an important point. Russia and China have skin in this game, combined have overwhelming capacity to build drones, and Russia certainly can provide operational assistance to Iran in this area as well if they need it.

We only lose this war if we decide to stop. Iran cannot defeat us. We can only defeat ourselves. They will have the military capacity of Afghanistan in a week. It is time for the others who were attacked to defend themselves. Egypt lost vast amount of revenue from the closure of the Suez, Turkey, Saud, Bahrain, UAE, Iraq have all been attacked. I would have no problem in Trump calling them cowards. No US troops on the ground. The Arabs need to step up and defeat their enemy by providing troops to take over Bushehr on the Iran coast and bring back crown prince Reza Pahlavi on to Iranian soil. My estimation is with lack of money to pay the IRGC (80%) will flip and the other that can afford to will flee to England – may God save the King.

What happens when a nuke goes off over Tel Aviv or a nuke gets smuggled into New York harbor? This is World War III. The difference between Vietnam and Iraq is 3000 pounds of highly enriched Uranium. War is different with air supremecy and persision weapons; not Vietnam and Iraq. Part of the reason Russia never gave Cuba nukes is they were crazy enough to use them. Trump gets us out of quamires. The best analogy in time is when Hilter took over the Sudenland when Germany has less than 100k solders. The French army could have marched in and stopped WWII. The IRGC had to bring in thugs from their proxies to kill 30,000 Iranians peolple so there was not a revolution. Their currency is worthless, they have little to no water and food and 90 million people that want to live a normal life and not under a religous zealot. We have made ourselves a threat to every country in the world, given our military and nuclear arsenal to a demented, narcissistic toddler, broken dozens of international commitments, and stiffed anybody that wasn’t in on the massive grift our oligarchy is participating in.

We have directly murdered tens of thousands of people over the past 10 years or so, inflicted privation and economic misery on millions more, and have fuck-all to show for it except the hatred of the people that we did this to.

As Israel has learned, fucking with people makes them want to fuck with you. Rather than stop fucking with the Palestinians, they are trying to solve the problem with genocide.

Are you for eradicating 92 million Iranians? Because it’s either that, stop fucking with them, or wait for that nuke to roll into the harbor, from any of 20 different countries that we can’t police at the same time.

REPORTED: Saudi Arabia is – via pipeline – attempting to transfer oil to Port in RED SEA thereby bypassing shipments through HORMUZ

SAUD need RED SEA – but YEMEN and IRAN share the same exact opponents

REPORTED: Yemen is now stepping in – that was reported today – Yemen will support the Iran cause soon

History: YEMEN Control of RED SEA – US has tried to stop this for years
US fill face the same issues in Hormuz
It is practically the same

The US Saudi Arabia COMBINED COALITION bombed YEMEN over 7 years March 2015 – April 2022
7 Years of continuous bombing – All Failed
and that was against YEMEN – IRAN has been preparing for 20 years

BIDEN went back to the Red Sea in 2024 -US disaster he left

TRUMP foolishly thought he was better than Biden Tried in 2025
Disaster – Trump left under agreement YEMEN could keep bombing Israeli shipping

The 2015 – 2022 US SAUD COALITION consisted of the following
US
Saudi Arabia
United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Bahrain
Kuwait
Qatar
Egypt
Jordan
Morocco
Sudan
———————–>>> Effectively Iran and Yemen are the same – brothers in arms – with the same opponents
and possibility is overwhelming strength in Both Red Sea and Hormuz transit

If asking about Hormuz, and the ‘ new coalition ‘ one has to ask – why would it be different this time ?

And one should Know – Trump may be begging CHINA to join
BUT WHY WOULD CHINA JOIN
Trump just took over Venezuela Oil flow going to China
China has No Interest in Trump taking over Iran Oil Flow going to China

IF YOU LOOK AT 2015 – 2026 HISTORY IN THE REGION
Just the last 15 years –
