Your trade adviser, Peter Navarro, says 90 deals in 90 days is possible. We’re now 13 days into the point from when you lifted the reciprocal, the discounted reciprocal tariffs. There’s zero deals so far. Why is that?
No, there’s many deals.
When are they going to be announced?
You have to understand, I’m dealing with all the companies, very friendly countries. We’re meeting with China. We’re doing fine with everybody. But ultimately, I’ve made all the deals.
Not one has been announced yet. When are you going to announce them?
I’ve made 200 deals.
You’ve made 200 deals?
100%.
Can you share with whom?
Because the deal is a deal that I choose. View it differently: We are a department store, and we set the price. I meet with the companies, and then I set a fair price, what I consider to be a fair price, and they can pay it, or they don’t have to pay it. They don’t have to do business with the United States, but I set a tariff on countries. Some have been horrible to us. Some have been okay. Nobody’s been great. Nobody’s been great. Everybody took advantage of us. What I’m doing is I will, at a certain point in the not too distant future, I will set a fair price of tariffs for different countries. These are countries—some of them have made hundreds of billions of dollars, and some of them have made just a lot of money. Very few of them have made nothing because the United States was being ripped off by every, almost every country in the world, in the entire world. So I will set a price, and when I set the price, and I will set it fairly according to the statistics, and according to everything else. For instance, do they have the VAT system in play? Do they charge us tariffs? How much are they charging us? How much have they been charging us? Many, many different factors, right. How are we being treated by that country? And then I will set a tariff. Are we paying for their military? You know, as an example, we have Korea. We pay billions of dollars for the military. Japan, billions for those and others. But that, I’m going to keep us a separate item, the paying of the military. Germany, we have 50,000 soldiers—
I’m just curious, why don’t you announce these deals that you’ve solidified?
I would say, over the next three to four weeks, and we’re finished, by the way.
You’re finished?
We’ll be finished.
Oh, you will be finished in three to four weeks.
I’ll be finished. Now, some countries may come back and ask for an adjustment, and I’ll consider that, but I’ll basically be, with great knowledge, setting—ready? We’re a department store, a giant department store, the biggest department store in history. [Emphasis Added]
Will you call President Xi if he doesn’t call you?
No.
You won’t?
Nope.
Has he called you yet?
Yep.
When did he call you?
He’s called. And I don’t think that’s a sign of weakness on his behalf.
This period of uncertainty will be over in three to four weeks?
I don’t think there’s any uncertainty there. The only thing—they have an option. They don’t have to shop here. They can go someplace else, but there aren’t too many places they can go. You understand what I mean though? [Emphasis Added]
Translation
What Trump is calling a “deal” is either a Trump “demand” or some tiny agreement on some small aspect to discuss in the broader context that won’t happen.
If US importers and consumers (not China!) refuse to pay the “department store” prices, then shelves will be empty.
China Calls Trump’s Bluff, Trump Backs Down, Now What?
On April 23, I commented China Calls Trump’s Bluff, Trump Backs Down, Now What?
The backdown lasted a day as evidenced by today’s lies.
The CEOs of Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe’s, all of whom delivered a blunt message about interruptions in the supply chain and its effects on consumers, were invited to the White House as part of an ongoing internal campaign to make the case to Trump about the real-world impact of his policies, administration officials said.
Trump’s tariffs have placed significant pressure on the retail sector. The business leaders warned that store shelves across America could “soon be empty,” two people familiar with the meeting said, as they presented a dire economic picture that could come into sharper view within weeks.
Interview Hoot Continues
Mr. President, there was a period of time on April 9 when the bond market was under extreme stress and there was a risk of a financial crisis far beyond what the plummeting stock market suggested.
I wasn’t worried.
What did your advisers tell you, though? You were in the Oval Office with Scott Bessent and Howard Lutnick. What did they tell you to convince you to lift the reciprocal tariffs for the 90-day pause?
They didn’t tell me. I did that.
What made you decide?
It wasn’t for that reason.
It wasn’t for the bond market?
No, it wasn’t for that reason. I’m doing that until we come up with the numbers that I want to come up with.
You said the bond market was getting the yips.
The bond market was getting the yips, but I wasn’t.
Discussion With China Fact Check
[The NYT comments] “China and the U.S. have not held consultations or negotiations on the issue of tariffs,” Guo Jiakun, the spokesman for China’s foreign ministry, said in a news conference on Friday. “The United States should not confuse the public.”
Don’t like the NYT? OK Let’s tune to what Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said.
Please Consider Treasury Secretary Mollifies the Markets (for Now) with Wishful Thinking
Stocks reversed yesterday’s losses with some Wishful Thinking from Bessent [Bloomberg]
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told a closed-door investor summit Tuesday that the tariff standoff with China is unsustainable and that he expects the situation to de-escalate.
Bessent added that negotiations haven’t started but that a deal is possible, according to people who attended his session at an event hosted by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Washington, which wasn’t open to the public or media.
The Treasury Department didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Let’s Check in on a Deal with Japan
Video on X. “Their (tariffs) theory is a mess and there is no consistency. I hope you never give in to the American extortionists… if you give a mugger money, they’ll come back to mug us again.”
Since nobody can believe a random source, let’s discuss the Bloomberg article Japan to Resist Trump Efforts to Form Trade Bloc Against China
Japan intends to push back against any US effort to bring it into an economic bloc aligned against China because of the importance of Tokyo’s trade ties with Beijing, according to current and former Japanese government officials.
Like many other countries, Japan is trying to get permanent relief from President Donald Trump’s tariffs by addressing US concerns in areas of bilateral trade, including automobiles and agriculture. The officials, who asked not to be identified, said that Japan is pushing to strike a deal before the current 90-day reprieve in tariffs expires, with one person saying the country hopes to finalize an agreement around the Group of Seven summit in June.
At the same time, the officials said Japan doesn’t want to get caught up in any US effort to maximize trade pressure on China by curbing its own economic interaction with Beijing, which is Tokyo’s biggest trading partner and an important source of goods and raw materials.
Although the US hasn’t made any specific requests to Japan regarding China, Tokyo would prioritize its own interests if that occurs, Japanese officials say. One of the officials added that Japan has conveyed to China on multiple occasions that it doesn’t fully align with the US on chip-related exports and semiconductor restrictions.
Rather than dialing back trade, Tokyo is in the process of trying to get China to resume imports of seafood and beef from Japan. That has been evident over the past few weeks, with a series of Japanese delegations making trips to China to manage Tokyo’s relationship with Beijing.
Unlike China it appears some low-level discussions with Japan are underway.
But as with China, it does not matter who is involved in the discussion.
But check out this poke in Trump’s eye.
In a sign of Japan Inc.’s commitment to the China market, Toyota Motor Corp. this week agreed to open a new factory in Shanghai in 2027, with the company reportedly planning to invest around $2 billion in the plant.
Japanese manufacturing was hit hard when China restricted the export of rare earths to Japan in 2010 amid a political dispute.
“It’s going to be really, really bad for Japan if it sees a drop in trade both with the US and China,” said Yu Uchiyama, a professor of political science at the University of Tokyo. “If policymakers say let’s abandon China, business people will of course oppose it.”
Mysterious US Trade Reps Meet With Mysterious China Trade Reps.
Who is Trump negotiating with?
I discuss the answer in Mysterious US Trade Reps Meet With Mysterious China Trade Reps. It’s a Mystery
The unknown meet the unknown discussing the unknown. Let’s discuss Schrödinger’s Cat vs Schrödinger’s Trump.
Talks? What Talks?
- Bessent: The United States and China are not engaged in trade talks because the tariffs both countries have imposed on each other have “to be de-escalated before trade talks.”
- Bessent: The US “does not have a timeline for talks to begin.“
- Bloomberg: “Trump has tried to get Xi on the phone a number of times since he returned to office, but the Chinese leader has, so far, resisted.”
- China: “Any reports on development in talks are groundless.” The US needs to “show sincerity” if it wants to make a deal.
- Trump: “They had a meeting this morning. It doesn’t matter who ‘they’ is. We may reveal ‘later’.”
In retrospect, I left off one important opinion.
The cult says “If Trump says a meeting happened,” then it did. And if Trump says it doesn’t matter who “they” is, then it doesn’t matter who “they” is.
Quantum physics explains the rationale. Click above for discussion.
Alternate Grocery Store Explanation
Trump’s amazing grocery example provides an amazing alternate explanation.
“Because the deal is a deal that I choose. View it differently: We are a department store, and we set the price. I meet with the companies, and then I set a fair price, what I consider to be a fair price, and they can pay it, or they don’t have to pay it.”
And because the deal is whatever Trump says it is, the market has no say (until of course the shelves are empty).

We have stupid tariffs that are almost retirement age.
The Chicken Tax is a 25 percent tariff on light trucks (and originally on potato starch, dextrin, and brandy) imposed in 1964 by the United States under President Lyndon B. Johnson in response to tariffs placed by France and West Germany on importation of U.S. chicken. The period from 1961 to 1964 of tensions and negotiations surrounding the issue was known as the “Chicken War“, taking place at the height of Cold War politics.
I’m sure 40% of Trump voters still insist whatever he says is true, and any claims to the contrary are due to commie libs destroying America. His audience is much stupider than is required for his nonsense to stick in far too many minds.
None of Trump’s followers seem to be familiar with the idea that when someone heaps praise on themselves, it’s largely made up self-fellation. They don’t seem to realize that a comment from someone else means more than someone saying they themselves are the best ever. It reveals a lot about the average intelligence of Americans, doesn’t it, George Carlin?
Sure he’s made 200 deals… with Rosy Palm and her 5 sisters. That’s who.
200 deals? He can not name one!
Because trump is lying!
$1 billion in cuts to the Fish and Wildlife programs to offset $4.5 trillion in tax cuts!
Sounds fiscally responsible to trump and his minions.
…
I agree that the erratic on off tarrifs is not ideal but the interviewer needs to shut up about the bond market. The interviewer is probably working some of the gambling hedge funds or wall street or whoever that is ok with the fed manipulating the bond market by devaluing the dollar, and yes, Trump is likely ok with that too at least some times, but rising rates are due to our debt and deficit spending, which both parties, and whoever the reporter works for are responsible for.
Sometimes better to leave your mouth closed than to remove all doubt
Chinese Sodium Perchlorate rocket fuel for ballistic missiles blew up in Bandar Abbas port. Dementia patients have gaps in their brains. In the last 100 days they explode with anger after they lost the election. They cannot comprehend stuff, but they trust a reject, a Harvard grad who was kicked from Trump #1 after two days, dressed with fancy Italian suits, on Bloomberg. bmc^2 is a schizo old gypsy.
you have no clue about what Roma people are like, do you?. i know what acid head manson family cult folks sound like when they type about their fearless leader, charlie. aka zion don. lay off the acid trips michael. embrace reality. those kooky cults are no good for one’s brain or soul. just say no.
this retard is gonna bankrupt us all
At this point, does anyone really trust anything he says? Chris Cuomo recently said that TDS is really people who trust everything Trump says.
The mouth breathers hang on every word, and defend it until he says something that contradicts what he said, then they defend that and say he was bluffing or joking before.
It’s as simple as that. This kind of stupid is what you build fascism out of.
What would you call a political philosophy built around the One Great Man, where the government decides how the business community works, where patriotism and nationalism are overriding concerns, and outgroup populations are derided as the cause of all problems? One that amplifies the most base instincts of a debased population, and looks to an imaginary past where the ingroup was wealthy and powerful?
trump cult reminds me of the manson family acid heads. totally delusional and devoted to their schizo cult leader and criminally insane nutjob charlie.
For once in my life I actually have to agree with Cuomo. Most of the time he is just another liar and thief.
Trump briefly met zelensky in Rome. Trump, Macron, Keir Starmer and Zelensky met before the pope funeral. Steve Witkoff met Putin for 3 hours. 520 casualties in Bandar Abbas.
Gaps are resistance. SPX 1D: Mar 5/6 gap wasn’t filled on Mar 25. If Apr 2/3 gap will not be filled, Apr 7 low might be breached. QQQ Apr 2/3 gap might be filled on Mon, before filling Apr 22/23 gap below. After a test QQQ might slide on it’s back to Apr lows. We will see what will happen in May.
200: Naming big, round numbers is usually a dead giveaway of fabrication (as if this wasn’t readily apparent here). Rarely do totals land on such neat, impressive numbers. Other similar figures of achievements, such as dollars saved by DOGE, have been produced by this administration.
When he shows you his palms, he’s lying. It’s so obvious.
200 deals is more than was on Trump’s tariff list. He must have counted a deal with every penguin.
For some reason neither Democrats nor Republicans can seem to accept reality and are committed to fighting it. I believe that it is our system of government which is a major cause at the moment. A presidential democracy where the president can’t be thrown out with a vote of no confidence causes long periods where no issue is ever addressed and acted upon. This is compounded by Senate rules (which could be easily changed) for a 60 vote majority to pass most legislation and a Senate which is not proportional to population. When the parties do not or will not compromise (which has happened since Obama was elected) then it causes each party to become more extreme until something breaks. If all it takes is a majority for a vote of no confidence then these long periods of no accomplishments which end in radical changes would probably end. However to change to a parliamentary democracy would be almost impossible now due to the supermajority required to make the changes.
The uniparty arent hopelessly divided at all, on the contrary they endlessly pass deficit spending bills with just token resistance thats never enough to deter. The voters arent holding them accountable for the mismanagement, so things might have to get worse for people to take notice that we have problems caused by overspending.
I love you
Trump might send the markets down to break CA and Hymietown.
Jessie Jackson, is that you?
i still LOL thinking about what jesse jackson said about my hometown. i lived among hasidic jews for ages. they all yawned and many LOL too. most modern amerikans are such thin skinned little wimps that get all flustered about some good old fashioned humor like archie Bunker had. my ww2 father and uncles did nothing but LOL at that stuff……..mostly self mocking stuff too. joking about pearl harbor and the war, too.
You’re such a great example of how stupidity feeds racism.
Bandar Abbas port, in southern Iran, is burning.
Your brain is rotting. Do you realize how many times you’ve posted the same drivel?
Make other countries great again!
Any country that makes a deal with the Us now is negotiating with other countries to eliminate the US from future trades. Corporations gave their manufacturing 30-40 years ago to China for more wall street profits, karma is a bitch.
Did you watch A. Scaramucci on Bloomberg?
Guys a “major loser”?
Fascinating interview regardless of your leaning.
C’ept the tards, sorry.
Aesop:
“Nobody believes a liar even when they are telling the truth.”
Unless you are our POTUS.
Gotta pack my bags….
Prolly end up in a gulag for that observation.
It’s OK, I’ve lived large and mostly not in charge.
Learned how to take a punch so a few will go down with me.
Did you watch Scaramucci on Bloomberg?
Here is a deal.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Biden administration’s military COVID-19 vaccine mandate “unlawful,” and issued a memo directing Pentagon officials to reinstate service members affected by it and remove any related disciplinary actions from their record.

And this is relevant to the discussion about imaginary trade deals how?
Chinese exporters don’t know what to do with their stuff and their ants. Chinese
consumers cannot absorb it. Toyota benefits from Trump tariffs, Buick and Volvo aren’t.
the world understands that the US has a schizo old man in charge who has never gone an hour without, a whopper of a lie. this has to be the dumbest presidential move in amerikan history. anyone with a lick of sense will not trust anything he spouts. how many times has he changed the tariff deal in last 3 weeks? how many more times will he change in the next 3 years? he’s a schizo.
Hymietown let u down. NYS state next gov is a reps. The dems sunk money on Kamala/Biden and lost. She destroyed the uniparty. For a hundred years the dems kept lying to their people. Blacks and Latinos TRUST Trump bc lying and slogans have no meanings. Obama, Al Sharpton and jackass Jesse Jackson are lost, boxed in. Trump fulfills his promises. Trump is flexible.
i HAVE voted in 4 us states, and an EU country. you are an idiot. good bye. i block your comments from view.
Don’t block him… enjoy the stupid, and thank god that they were still handing out brains when you showed up.
Trump is flexible ?? You mean with his ‘interpretation’ of the truth.
A few years ago communist Chinese smashed and burnt Toyota cars, as the radical left are doing in the US to Tesla, Toyota is selling 10.1 millions cars worldwide, 1.7 millions in China, down 8% and 2.5 millions in North America, up 5%. BYD, far behind. Japan was hollowed up by China as the US and the Europeans. Most of what they sell is made in China. Sony was booming in 1980’s/90’s, but it’s a shadow of itself. Japan is shrinking. Its over 65Y are over 30% of the total population. Chinese ants are working for them and we are defending them. The clueless dems are jumping all over the place, in Shroddinger box, for the lack of oxygen. Xi rules with an iron fist. He has to show that he is tough. Since China is melting and deflating fast he softened his embargo.
Do you think he believes his own lies? I’m beginning to think he does,
The very instant they pop into his head, he believes them. It’s a characteristic of his form of mental illness.
A more prosperous and respected United States with an optimistic population would be better positioned to “win the future” against a country like China which is certainly a goal of Trump’s. Instead, resorting to threats, bluster, and other heavy-handed measures has ended up painting Trump into an awkward corner that has severely dented the perception of US power on the world stage. Trump could well end up like the man who so tightly clung to what he cherished most, it broke to pieces in his hands.
One should consider if he is simply playing the markets and world for profits and to establish his family as America’s Oligarchs. He possibly has a “Sleeper phone”. That connects via musks Starlink,
If putting us in a better position is Trumps goal, he should be opposing any deficit spending and be honest with the citizens that the current trajectory cant continue. We will undergo austerity willingly or not and willingly and keeping the dollar strong is the best way, shows the world we value stability and prudence and responsibility.
Mooch gave a very entertaining interview recently on Bloomberg.
“Trump is the Napoleon of the culture war”. Yeah because the ‘culture war’ is just a BS distraction from the real problem in this country, the endless deficit spending and ballooning debt racked up by the reckless ignorant Congress and administrations and Fed. So they get Trump to be an epic distraction from what needs to be done and where we’re inevitably headed: austerity.
Behold, thy great leader is performing infinite dimensional chess.
Not sure trump’s credibility could go much lower. He is clearly delusional.
Any remotely observant person knew that after term 1. The “inject bleach to cure COVID” recommendation should have been enough by itself.
Have you ever been on a cruise ship? The ships offer buffets, entertainment, and fabulous ports of call to open your mind to new ideas, people and culture. They last 5 to 10 days although some can be as much as 30 days.
Sadly, you’re on a cruise now and it’s called the Trumptanic™ and instead of offering fabulous buffets, entertainment and ports of call you get lies, deception, excuses, stupidity and an entirely incompetent crew. You don’t get to eat on the Trumptanic™ because the food is too expensive due to tariffs, same for entertainment. The ports of call are bankruptcy, depression, hopelessness and despair and they circle in a vicious loop endlessly.
Cheer up though, this cruise only has 1365 days left before you can get off but you won’t be getting any refunds, your sunk cost is lost forever and you’ll be paying for it the rest of your life.
Are you sure we can get off once this nightmare term is over? Will there be a U.S. to return to?
He stated that he would be “Dictator on day one”
Dictator’s rarely give up their power willingly.
Trump will be “Sleepy Don” by the time 2029 comes around no different than Sleepy Joe. It won’t matter to me though, I’m taking a lifeboat off the Trumptanic.
But play it out, the US isn’t Nazi Germany with unarmed sheep waiting to be shipped off in a train to Auschwitz. Remember George Floyd and how cities, including police stations, were burned to the ground? That was just for stepping on a black man’s neck, wait till Trump tries sending troops out to round up people, it will be one hell of a bloody civil war.
We have mass shootings here every week, everyone is armed to the teeth so it’s not going to be a cakewalk for a dictator Trump. Not even close. It will be a block by block, house by house bloody battle with huge casualties on all sides. That’s what the 2nd Amendment is for and it will be used but I doubt it comes to that because there is also an ongoing demographic death spiral that would collapse the country instantly if that ever does happen.
And don’t think Russia, China, Iran, or other actors won’t suddenly start supplying arms to various insurgent groups just like during a resistance in WW II.
If you are worried, have an exit strategy.
Trumptanic is good. So is the Trumptastic Dreamboat. Because you have to be dreaming to believe what you’re experiencing.
In a few weeks, store shelves will be empty just like in Venezuela and Cuba and other “central planning geniuses” and it’s all 100% self-induced by Trump & GOP clowns. 100%.
Reality is about to slap you in the face. Check back in with me then.
You reap what you sow.
Already seeing it in the produce sections.
I FEEL LIKE I’M FLYYYYYYYYIIIIIIING!
iceberg ahead capn. the lithium crystal cana take no more…………
Trump has spent most the last decade lying. (Likely much much longer.) I doubt he can reliably tell his own lies from his own truths. Let alone distinguish other people lies (such as Putin) from truths.
When it comes to these tariffs. Trump is failing badly and deep down somewhere he knows it. But of course he can never fail so lie, lie, lie he does.
The US does have market power and if it chooses to bully one country then it has an excellent chance of working. But even a schoolyard bully knows not to take on the entire schoolyard at once!
There are probably only 5 countries that are squeezed by these tariffs and a desperate on a deal. Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, India. But even these ones are approaching discussions with caution. There are a few tiny minnows eg Madagascar but they’ll just reroute trade, they don’t have a bargaining power.
There also a bunch of friendly allies like Canada, Australia, Mexico, UK that are busy reaching out and probably happy to “make a deal” but trump doesn’t even know what he wants from these countries. Fentanyl? Secure borders? More kangaroos? And who knows what from the UK.
Don’t worry I’m sure Trump has made some great deals with about 200 penguins from the Heard and McDonald Islands.
“When it comes to these tariffs. Trump is failing badly and deep down somewhere he knows it.”
I’m not sure he knows anything. His handlers may be feeding him just what he wants to hear so he doesn’t actually know the truth.
Add to that he is mentally ill and you have a perfect storm.
The bottom line is that many Americans are dumber than Trump, and as such are unable to recognize just how dumb Trump is. Dumb people love Trump!
As that interview highlights, Trump is just an entertainer. He has no clue what he is doing on substance; but he just follows a script that he hopes maximizes attention to whatever he says. And he is good at it; (most) Americans love it; they want to be entertained and not bothered by dull and complex policy details. At the same time, a figure like Trump would never stand a chance of getting elected in a serious country like Canada, Norway, or Switzerland, where “entertainment by politicians” would be considered ridiculous. Clearly, we are not a serious country anymore.
oh goodness more whiplash Trump administration reverses abrupt terminations of foreign students’ US visa registrationsDOJ announced the reversal in federal court after weeks of intense scrutiny by courts and dozens of restraining orders issued by judges.
Trump did make 200 deals. One for each island of Micronesia.
Does anybody know if there is any betting place where they predict impeachment date.
Definitely with progressing dementia at some point they will have to step into the room and take mic out.
I’d take that bet.
What happens if Bessent throws up his hands and quits, and tells the world what a madman Trump is?
Does anyone (Cabinet? Congress (either house), Business leaders) have the guts to stand up and say, “This guy is crazy!”?
Try England they bet on everything.
Making things up, telling stories, referring to countries as “companies”?
This sh*t show just keeps getting better and better. It is already way beyond my expectations! And I am loving it!
200 deals already! With the 192 other countries in the world plus some other planets. You would think that a couple of the countries he has signed deals with might mention them?
I am hoping he will begin his auto parts tariffs on May 3 (after delaying them twice already). This will result in the NA auto industry shutting down within 2 weeks.
I hope Xi keeps refusing to call. Let’s keep the tariffs on China for as long as possible. I am waiting to see how long it will take for store shelves to begin to empty.
This is the most fascinating real world economics experiment since the 1930s. Perhaps we will learn something from it.
Things like this are funny till someone gets hurt. Since it is not back to school time nor Xmas time, I figured this was the best time for this to happen. But NBC said tonight that for some reason a lot of medical supplies get ordered this time of year. Laugh, laugh. 🙂
Of course people will be hurt. That is a constant in life. But hopefully, we will learn from this experiment so fewer people will be hurt in the future; because we don’t want to make the same mistakes again.
Lately, it seems like people keep doubling down so I wouldn’t get to hopeful anyone will learn much of anything from this.
America is now one giant Jerry Springer episode. Emotional porn is the currency and there’s glut of it.
Perhaps the US is so stupid that we won’t learn from this. But I suspect the rest of the world is smart enough to learn that they will benefit from trading with each other, while ignoring the US.
I agree. The rest of the world will be fine…..the US….not so much.
The rest of the world is as stupid as we are… it just peaks at different times.
Only from the losing side, as they always make the most noise…
Blind optimism reigns.
Just do what I do, get on a jet to Asia and get your medical needs addressed there. Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea all have great medical services and NO TARIFFS!
While you’re there, you may as well pick up an apartment, condo or house since you’ll realize it’s much better there than here.
Slapstick is all about it being funny when people get hurt. All it’ takes is a reframe.
Laughter is a great substitute for screaming.
– It is already way beyond my expectations!
> Your expectations were exactly what He is doing, no? Looks to be having some success, but you wouldn’t know that from the MSM. They want Him to tell all along the way, so they can profit from it, or make up or add stories and false narratives to it. It looks to be going quite smoothly, or we would hear a whole lot more coming from other Countries in my view. They are quiet because they are wise and don’t want to add more unnecessary carnage. So far I am pleased with the progress, from what I have gathered and heard from people I speak with,
– I hope Xi keeps refusing to call. Let’s keep the tariffs on China for as long as possible. I am waiting to see how long it will take for store shelves to begin to empty.
> If are store shelf’s are empty, then in some cases it’s working. We are not blowing money on junk, and helping China out at the same time. Maybe we can save a bit and look deeper at what we buy and why? This could be like a giant economic class in disguise, to force Americans to look at what they are Eating, Drinking, Driving, Giving away, blowing money on, not saving, Etc.
– Perhaps we will learn something from it.
> Many have and many will continue to IMO. You learn a lot about life, when you become destitute, hungry, cold, and worse, but mostly because you made very poor financial decisions, lived much higher than you were able to, lived for today, and didn’t worry about tomorrow (which is here), and now your extremely stuck. Sometimes you must simply say “No” I can’t afford to do that, go there, help out with that, pitch in for that, go to that wedding, or but that new car, just because you want to…
>> Got Oil?
Hahaha!
Thanks for that reply. It made my day.
“ So far I am pleased with the progress, from what I have gathered and heard from people I speak with,”
“ If are (you mean our) store shelf’s are empty, then in some cases it’s working. ”
“ You learn a lot about life, when you become destitute, hungry, cold, and worse,”
Yes. There will be much to learn from this experiment.
The damn Plutonians have been exploiting God’s America for far too long!
All hail King Chaos THE Market MIDDLEMAN.
Trump mentions companies first…
maybe he hasn’t gotten to countries yet.
Or maybe 200 is an “exaggeration”…
like ending the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Day 1.
Or it was said in “jest”.
OR perhaps every interview should end with a disclaimer:
“May or may not be true. Considering the source, probably not”.
He just keeps circling to the same familiar talking points — I mean, fabulous, fanciful boasts. This is aimed at an information consumer with a certain level of anxious credulity. There is not a smidgen of evidence of any of it. If it was true and credible, why not name at least a few names? Amusing that fellow fabulist George Santos was sentenced today.
Next stop for Schrödinger’s Cat: the Potemkin Village of the economy this is supposedly building for us. The Potemkin Department Store, I guess. (And department store: what an odd, anachronistic image. I guess we are all at Bergdorf’s in the 1980’s? Or is it his imagined Gilded Age?)
George has nothing to worry about. Donnie will pardon him like he did Blagojevich – for the right price.
– They think he is a genius and that he is playing 5th dimensional chess.
> Yes many in “The MSM” do so, I agree. They are the “Only Ones” talking like that.
>> What He is actually doing, is playing the MSM like the Fools that they are (TDS).
– When things don’t work out, it will be because of the evil Democrats/leftists.
> Not necessarily, but it sounds like you’re awfully nervous about it. Hm…
– when things do happen to work out (usually by luck), it’s because he’s a genius.
> His last term was quite good, and no luck was involved there, as He was fought the entire term, but still managed to make a difference.
– But what is more concerning is not the Maga movement, that will burn out when Trump is no longer around.
> Not a chance! “Vance will carry that Torch Proudly” He is more skilled with the Media, has no TDS to deal with, and is a much sharper speaker. He will most likely “Gain Ground”
– it’s the leftist opposition, which is also feeding its insanity off of the MAGA insanity. This is a movement that isn’t going to go away, and Trump is going to enable these lunatics to gain power.
> Hahaha, Trump is going to “Enable” My is that a delusional statement to make…
– Trump just keeps circling to the same familiar talking points — I mean, fabulous, fanciful boasts.
> Yep, and the MSM and Shills keep lapping it up!p, and reporting it.
– If it was true and credible, why not name at least a few names?
> I think they call that Diplomacy in action. The Speaking happens afterwards.
– Trump is in an imaginary world
> Hey you’re right! He cannot understand How the last 4 Years were imaginary. Like a secret script gone bad… The Majority of The Country whole heartedly agreed!
– Does anyone, even his staunchest Maga supporter really believe the crap he spouts Its laughable.
> 100% Better than the alternative and that has been obviously proven.
Stu, you must work for the trump PR team. And yes, Biden was bad (even though it isn’t on the topic of “200 invisible deals”. But nowhere near this catastrophic and you would have howled every step of the way if it wasnt Saint Trump doing any of this idiocy but if Biden did it.

> Nope, but do speak with a lot of players in various industries That are or are not being affected. Most are pleased so far, but we are a long way from closing out on this approach. Nobody really hurt as of yet, from what I have gathered.mostly just MSM BS to make things more messy, more convoluted for people to understand, more irrational behavior as usual, that mostly turns out to be false narratives, outright lies, or made up banter to cause disruptions.

> Biden couldn’t make any deals, as Biden could barely talk. When he did it was gibberish at best. The Man had no functioning brain to assist him in walking, talking, eating, and conducting himself like a pedophile at times. He was Gone from Day 1!! How can you bowel at an empty vessel?
It’s not aimed at anyone. It’s a demented fool repeating the last thing that got him some attention, and he will keep doing it until he stumbles on something else that gets him more attention.
I read the four posts below and realize I have nothing to say. 🙂 If reality doesnt work, try fantasy. If fantasy also doesnt work, rename fantasy as reality and just keep talking till something happens.
Unchecked egomania is a mental disorder.
narcissistic personality disorder plus dementia, Trump is not mentally fit enough to serve as POTUS which is actually the easiest job in the world.
Trump is in a imaginary world where because he says something or thinks something that it will actually happen… simple rules of mathematics don’t apply here and eventually reality will set in to the detriment of our economy and world safety and security…he doesn’t believe in or trust experts who have studied economic or foreign relations issues for decades that complexity and nuance.. like solving the Ukraine war in 24 hours or bringing peace to Middle East he is not a deep thinker able to understand or predict outcomes…
How dare Mish question the yugest, stablest president ever? Better get on board, Mish. You’ll miss all those deals. You don’t have to shop here. /s
** This is an embarrassing snit, no, spit, no, slit,.. I can’t find the word… show.
down now to “30 letters of intent”
30 parties that haven’t put a hold on mail from him…
Does anyone, even his staunchest Maga supporter really believe the crap he spouts
Its laughable.
They think he is a genius and that he is playing 5th dimensional chess. They assume that because they don’t understand nobody can understand. When things don’t work out, it will be because of the evil Democrats/leftists and when things do happen to work out (usually by luck), it’s because he’s a genius. Trump can’t lose either way. But what is more concerning is not the Maga movement, that will burn out when Trump is no longer around, it’s the leftist opposition (the Hogg and AOC Democrats), which is also feeding its insanity off of the MAGA insanity. This is a movement that isn’t going to go away, and Trump is going to enable these lunatics to gain power.
