It had very specific legal requirements, not subject to misinterpretation. It’s perhaps reasonable to have some delays. Perhaps.
But it is inexcusable to release as little as Bondi did, all heavily redacted.
Impeach Pam Bondi
I 100% support the impeachment of Pam Bondi. And I think it will happen.
The House of Representatives can bring articles of impeachment (charges) against a federal official with a simple majority vote. It would only take a handful of Republicans to switch.
If Bondi survives this now, and she might, it will come up again after the midterms if Democrats take the House.
However, Bondi is unlikely to be convicted which would take a 2/3 vote in the Senate. But the whole process would be a major distraction.
I suspect Bondi would resign if the House pursues an impeachment investigation. Regarding criminal charges, if any, Trump would pardon her.
Still, this mess will not go away. Although the economy will be the big issue in the midterms, Trump’s handling of Epstein will matter to many independents and non-MAGA republicans.

You seriously think EVERYONE at the FBI and CIA etc is a MAGA person? Not one person there hates Trump and would leak something if there was something to be leaked.
The idea that not one person would leak incriminating stuff against Trump if it existed defies credulity.
My guess is if someone had something they could leak they could easily get 1 billion dollars in donations from people who don’t like Trump.
Tim, you make a good point re: leaks of damaging info not having already happened. But there is the small matter of prosecution with a bit of game theory mixed in; imagine ten teams each working on a subset of the files… Any one team might come across questionable info and not wish to be the target with their hand up, instead assuming that “since we found this, it’s likely there is something being found by some other team, so let’s sit on this or redact it and keep our jobs”. Given this DOJ and the retribution campaign DJT is already on, keeping your mouth shut, head down is probably the path of least resistance.
It would be hard to spend that money when you’re dead. How long do you think someone with credible information, attempting to release it, would live?

What is the difference between the “Epstein Files” and all the Epstein sealed evidence that multiple judges have ensured can never see the light of day and be revealed to the public? Isn’t that sealed evidence where the really damaging details are almost certainly hidden?
