Kamala Harris Campaign Outspending Trump $743 Million to $426 Million

Harris is pulling in more contributions than Trump in what will be the most expensive election campaign in history.

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting look Inside Harris’s and Trump’s Campaign Spending

Both Harris and Trump are poised to blow through hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign money in a matter of weeks before Election Day. Harris’s takeover at the top of the ticket this summer catapulted Democrats’ fundraising, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission and the campaign. The Biden and Harris campaigns and allied committees have reported raising more than $1.1 billion this year through August.

The Trump campaign declined to provide a figure for the year, but its statements and FEC filings total at least $720 million. A senior Trump adviser said the campaign would continue to raise the money it needs to execute a winning strategy.

The biggest chunk of spending for each campaign has gone to advertising, with the Biden and Harris campaigns shelling out around $346 million so far this year on radio, television and digital ads, compared with about $147 million for the Trump campaign, according to their FEC filings.

The campaigns’ advertising spend will be even greater than the filings show, according to data from the ad-tracking firm AdImpact. All told, the Harris campaign has aired or reserved $647 million in ads between January and Election Day. The Trump campaign has booked $273 million. And those totals don’t include spending by their supporting super PACs. Harris’s team said it reserved ad space early to lock in slots on such shows as “The Golden Bachelorette” premiere on ABC. This summer, the Harris campaign also started buying ad time on Fox News in a bid for more centrist Republicans.

Spending Details Harris (First) Trump (Second)

  • Advertising: $346.3 million to $147.0 million
  • Payroll and consulting: $72.1 million to $35.1 million
  • Fundraising: $38.4 million to $33.6 million
  • Transfers: $100.2 million to $63.2 million
  • Rallies: $14.7 million to $16.8 million
  • Polling: $18.3 million to $16.5 million
  • Legal: $13.7 million to $36.6 million
  • Other: $51.5 million to $43.8 million

Transfers are money raised but sent elsewhere, for example money sent to state party committees.

Nate Silver Update

Quite a lot of polling for the Friday afternoon / Saturday morning wrapover period. But nothing to really change the model’s view of the race. Kamala Harris got a pair of good polls in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which is worth one electoral vote, and is now a 91 percent favorite to win there. However, she was already well ahead there. Conditional on winning Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, Harris is almost certain to win NE-2, which would give her a win by a perilous 270-268

The above from the Silver Bulletin.

If Harris holds the Blue Wall she is a strong favorite to win the election.

Do you see what’s missing from Trump? There is no ground game. As previously reporting. Maybe it’s all a grift to get donations. Does he even want to win?

Where are the donations for Harris originating vs. Trump?
Not much in article or comments.
That is a pertinent question as it highlights which candidate actually represents the people.
Globalists and their partisans, Hollywood and Media are the Elite donors as they are the ones who have made fortunes off the job losses of Americas Middle class.
Harris is the candidate of Elites.

Trumps supporters send in their five and ten dollar donations because that is all they can afford.

Trump remains the Candidate of the working class. Trump should remain Proud, he is on the side of the People.

Another great Idea from Biden Harris gone up in flames when reality comes to town.

From what I can tell, Harris is spending every dollar of donations to beg for more donations. Annoying YouTube ads with her whiny nasal voice. She’s texting me every other day begging for money. I’ve never given her a penny. Not sure how Dems got my number.

I have yet to see a SINGLE cogent Trump Campaign. It is as if they are asleep at the wheel OR they expect to lose, so they are partying only…with nothing up its sleeve.

Let’s hope that they have something good to use otherwise it is clear that Harris’s Machinery is in full throttle TRUMP HATRED MODE.

“HATRED MODE” is not a good look at all. To be on display as your main goal in a Presidential Campaign for “Your Country” too, is quite obnoxious to me personally.

Think about it, why would anyone wish to place their vote for a person and party, that wish to Demonize half the country! They are supposed to be supporting, helping out, learning from, and asking what They can do For You?

They are wishing to dictate what You Do! They tell you and show you. all the time.

If Someone is willing to “Show You Who They Truly Are” I would Strongly Urge You “To Believe Them”

She won’t last long in office, if she wins. They will “Pull A Biden” on her, and Place Newsom in her place. Don’t you see that as the play they have to unfold, at the end of the charade?

Simple: he must win Pennsylvania.
Market and home prices up (wealth effect), gdp up, inflation moderating (per gubmint). Enough to push the no-policy word salad empty pantsuit across the we’re-finished line. The not-trump baby-killing, no press conference say nothing strategy is working. The only one that matters is PA if GA and NC are red. I’m now convinced a 35 year old American-made toaster could become president,if anyone still makes toasters domestically.

Doesn’t look good for Trump.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/economy-outperforming-swing-states-good-130000007.html

“Six of the seven battleground states expected to decide this year’s US presidential election saw faster growth than the US economy as a whole in the second quarter, adding to recent tailwinds for Vice President Kamala Harris close to a month out from the vote.”

“The key state is Pennsylvania, of course,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, who’s based in the state. “The big cities of Philly and Pittsburgh are benefiting from very strong growth in healthcare, education and in financial services,” while the rest of the state is “hanging tough”

Even the NYT and CNN(Scott Jennings is a rock star) are hammering Kamala.

That is exactly the problem . We have the best government money can buy. I find it pathetic that the American electorate are basically brain dead and believe the liberal bs being broadcasted on those ads. Most of ads show ugly fat lesbians complaining about republicans wanting them to die and or put in jail if they need an abortion, Never have seen a rebuttal ad by the right about the sewage being spewed by the left. I now just put all ads on mute or change the channel if possible. We are circling the drain. We have a bunch of lazy entitled overweight aholes who just want to join the free shit army. The politicians are happy to oblige as long as they can stay n office and enrich themselves. They are malignant parasites feeding off the stupid electorate. Need to have a complete overhaul of the political process. My suggestion is to double the terms and only allow one term. Also, more importantly, outlaw any political contributions and have the govt give each candidate an equal amount of funding and also shorten the tortuous election process.

Women will decide this election and Trump/GOP keep putting their foot in mouth. Repubs wouldn’t be doing this if they weren’t desperate.

https://dnyuz.com/2024/09/27/g-o-p-candidates-looking-to-soften-their-image-turn-to-their-wives/

“Wives are hitting the airwaves across the country. In the final, critical weeks in competitive congressional races, male Republicans struggling to appeal to female voters concerned about their records on reproductive rights are unleashing their spouses to make the pitch on their behalf.
Their ads often feature women in softly lit living rooms and pristine kitchens vouching for their husbands’ characters. (LOL!) Sometimes the women are driving S.U.V.s with young children in the back seat as they stop for gas and groceries, talking about how their husbands are champions for their families, and can be champions for yours, too.”

True. Just amplified to 11 these days. Though I do have concerns with anyone who tries to cast dispersions on US elections integrity for their own benefit. That’s a corrosive strategy in the long run. Short term win for a long term loss, but that’s kind of American culture.

I agree with you! The tough New Yorker mentality and how the developers are, they have to be tough and ruthless to build the skyscrapers and other incredible projects, or they will be taken out and go broke! Very few nice guys in this business he is in ever make money, and most wither away! He is at a point where he does not have to be that way as much, which is the good news, however the foot still goes in the mouth at times ! cringe but he still has my vote, the alternative is the destruction of this country! PS I worked for some successful developers and it was very rough at times, however the pay and rewards was incredible, some are still my friends today!

Score one for the deep state, as it looks like they’ve turned a sure loss (Biden) into a “sure win” for Kamala.

I put “sure win” in quotes as at least they’ve been able to make the public think her win is inevitable.

I must say, Trump is not looking good lately, literally. He looks drained.

Finally, all the campaign money in the world is not worth much without good campaign management.

Wolf Richter is an Alte Grantler (old grumbler). Anybody who’s been to Styria knows the type.
I read wolf street but commenting there now is a club, and subject to richters close-mindedness on topics out of his competence and expertise, such as EV’s and the electrical system in general. He seems very knowledgeable about the mechanics of the Fed. I was originally attracted to the site by the wisdom of some of the commenters but they have mostly stopped contributing and it’s becoming a “personality” commentariat. That’s fine, but not worth my time, there’s far more insightful people on the internet than Richter, and his site is ripe for absorption by AI, there’s nothing there that can’t easily be replicated.
