The DNC May Nominate Biden a Month Early to Stop Replacement Calls

The Democratic National Convention is August 19-22. Well who cares about that? We may find out on July 21 when the rules committee meets.

According to Bloomberg, the Democratic National Committee is considering formally nominating Joe Biden as early as mid-July to ensure that the president is on November ballots, while helping to stamp out intra-party chatter of replacing him after last week’s poor debate performance.

On July 21, the credentials committee meets virtually, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Democrats had already planned to nominate Biden, 81, before their August convention in order to ensure he appears on the ballot in Ohio, which had an Aug. 7 deadline for candidates to be certified.

Democrats were expected to have a virtual convention before August 7, but now they are discussion moving it up further to squash replacement talk.

Question of the Day

There was no primary to speak of so … Might I ask, why have a full convention either?

Nate Silver Chimes In

https://twitter.com/DanielBerman2/status/1807873400280391710

Nate Silver: “1) They still think they have a narrative/perception problem when they have an actual problem 2) It’s not going to squash all the talk because Biden can *still be replaced* afterward until ballots are printed: A new candidate would be chosen by the DNC”

Bear in mind, Silver has stated he cannot stand Trump and won’t vote for him. So that is not gaslighting.

A Legal VP Nominee

“An early nomination means there is also a legal VP nominee so pretty much impossible to dump Harris from the ticket without her consent afterwards.”

In case you missed it, please see The Left is Aghast at the Correct Supreme Court Immunity Decision on Trump

Yes those links are terribly out of date… the energy situation is far more dire now than when shale was kicking off…

I will stay with the more recent info

Even more recent… March 24, 2024:

The Precarious State of the Shale Oil Industry:

Try to get your head around the idea that by 2027, US tight oil production might be 12 MM BOPD, not the 9 MM it is now, which is what cheerleaders say it will be, and that means we’ll actually have to find and extract 12 MM BOPD… before we can ever grow the new 3 MM.

Man, that is a slew of new wells! Thats gonna take like…four times the HZ wells we’ve already drilled in the US.

I know – based on your comment above… that you will refuse to read this https://fasteddynz.substack.com/p/the-perfect-storm

Even though it explains why the GFC happened — why Liar Loans were approved at the highest levels including the Fed — why interest rates were reduced to 0 for many years — why the central banks have been unleashing gargantuan stimulus since the turn of the century — and last but not least … why the global economy is in the precipice of collapse.

Expensive energy destroys growth. Repeat after me – expensive energy destroys growth.

And all that we are finding now is expensive — shale, deep sea, tar sands. Pretend renewable is the most expensive of all … mainly because it is intermittent… therefore you need to operate two energy production systems so you have power when the sun is not shining and the wind not blowing (see Germany)

The only way to offset the deadly effects of expensive energy is with stimulus.

But eventually What Cannot Continue – Will Stop.

One Trillion every 3 months… do you think that can continue forever?

Thanks, I appreciate your response, I get it fracking always has to drill more holes to keep up with production, they also drill under the water table and that is why I am not interested in any fracking company. Too much water is used in their production model. As far as EV’s as you probably know by now Tesla is not going bankrupt. Along with their increase in distribution, their energy storage sales are up. This site is excellent in figuring out an oversold bottom, when Mish dislikes I usual buy when others are tossing their shares out. Do your own research to figure out oversold disrupted stocks.

The Supreme Court decision will make it impossible for any lawyer to argue against immunity for official acts if a president claims any act was part of an official act or in an official capacity as president. Multiple constitutional lawyers have today stated this. The court may need to clarify its ruling.

Biden will be the Dem nominee, period.

This neuters the Dems’ election steal operation, because Biden cannot win this election & and absolutely NO ONE will believe or respect this result.

Dems should accept the loss, try mitigate the down-ballot damage, and plan for 2028.

OTOH, if they follow-through with their ballot harvesting/stuffing, illegal voter registration & pre-printed ballot schemes, then expect multiple state secession or worse, post-election.

IOW, Dems have to swallow the loss (that they fully deserve, btw), otherwise they catalyze the end of the republic, imo.

Just how desperate & stupid are establishment Dems? I think we will have to wait until November to find out.

Sorry but I am not sure this is the correct way to think about the current constitutional crisis. Yes it is a constitutional crisis and a rather serious one at that. Last Thursday the President of the United States clearly demonstrated that he is now non compos mentis. In every jurisdiction he would be unable to renew his drivers license. Indeed Mr. Biden showed why Mr. Hur said that it was pointless prosecuting him for illegal document retention because Mr. Biden is mentally unfit to stand trial. Now the chasm opens and starts to swallow the careers of those that are in Mr. Biden’s inner circle whole. As we all know there are 3 branches of government in the United States. The President is the head of the Executive Branch and also fulfills the role of Commander and Chief. If Mr. Biden cannot put an intelligible sentence together, cannot stand trial or get a drivers license then he is not in command of his faculties. It is now even doubtful he posses the capacity to be of a sound mind sufficient to make out his will. How then can Mr. Biden reasonably be in a position to sign legislation or Presidential Executive Orders? If Mr. Biden cannot fulfill these duties then how can he be Commander and Chief?
Now it gets really interesting.Given the rather obvious fact that Mr. Biden now lacks the critical thinking skills to be President the problem immediately becomes much greater. Indeed the immediate question is how long has this situation existed? Whom is actually running the executive branch of the government? There is no mechanism in the Constitution to permit the usurpation of Presidential powers by an individual or group of individuals. Since the mechanism has been clearly co-opted one can conclude that there may have, in effect, been a soft coup in the United States. This activity is a serious breach of US constitutional law and is tantamount to treason. Executive orders have been signed and implemented by this cabal. If Mr. Biden was not capable of understanding the scope or purpose of those orders and merely signed as a some sort of automaton then that is the same as forging his signature and they are illegal. So which orders don’t actually have the force of law? Which orders should people follow? Which pieces of legislation have been fraudulently signed? Who is responsible? To say that this state of affairs is fiendishly complicated and frightening is an understatement.

The DNC has purchased rights to Beck’s “Loser”. It will be good for the Hispanic vote. Joe will come out on stage dancing to it. “Soy, un perdador, I’m a loser baby … etc.” Joe cant win, he can’t maintain the Presidency, any replacement is too little too late. Unless brain dead beyond belief, who would vote for a surrogate picked at last minute (at least in the eyes of the public via MSM propaganda organs) after being gaslit for 3 years about President Full Diaper being sharp as a tack. Then look at inflation, foreign policy confusion etc. ad nauseum. A friend who was a staunch gaslit Dem told me he’s going to vote for Trump.

Meanwhile, Garland puts himself above the law, ignoring his own contempt of congress citation. When a congressional hearing is a sham, as the Jan 6, was, any subpoena by the committee should be null and void, due to congressional corruption. It should be illegal to hold a sham hearing and defraud the American people of the truth.

At first observation it could be said, that this would add to evidence that DNC already has the election sewn up and they simply do not care for what happens at the Ballot Box. Certainly some posters are in this camp.

The problem with that take on things is a person just has to look at the faces of people like David Axelrod or James Carville who look like they have been placed on suicide watch after Biden debate. Couple that with Nancy Pelosi appears needing to down a fifth of Scotch in order to make a pubic statement, says to me these people are worried.
And if they are worried then they ought to know if US Election has gotten to that stage where it is nothing but a rigged farce.

There is an excellent reason for them to endorse Brandon quickly. Then there iwill be little reason to hold a national convention.
Such a convention will bring all the problems the Dems have into the spotlight with a fiery clash of factions that will make 1968 seem tame. Pro Israel V pro Hamas factions will be at least a loud shouting match but probably with some bloodshed from physical altercations. Then there is the old guard V the Squad, trans activists, ultra hard core Woke, union heavies, rich liberal donors, poor urban blacks, open border advocates etc all wanting the limelight.
And I have not even mentioned if such a convention might fight over if Pedo Joe gets the nomination.
Then the Repubs will have a wealth of footage to show the voters how disfunctional the Dems are.

That would have been a slight genuflection toward truth-in-video. Like, are these all different people or are they the same people played over and over and over and over again? For instance.

Also, Biden should have moved enough – or blinked – to show he’s not a still photograph.

They were going to do this anyway because the Dem convention was scheduled later than the final ballot date for certain states.

I don’t know who is more at fault in this sorry scenario – whoever scheduled the Dem convention so late or the states that have too early a cutoff.

Regardless, it doesn’t preclude replacing Biden at the convention. People will be told that voting for a [hopefully] missing Biden on the ballot refers to the existing Dem presidential candidate.
