Trump Raised Tens of Millions of Dollars to Do Something That’s Illegal

Trump’s leadership PAC Preyed on Working Class

Cast of Familiar Characters

The Cast: Jason Miller, Bill Stepien, Brad Parscale, Jared Kushner

Legally Prohibited

Trump asked donors to give to his ‘election defense fund,’ but in reality, the money raised never paid for any post-election litigation and legally could not even do so.”

Trump’s Millions

Please consider Trump’s Millions, the source of Coulter’s claims.

Former President Donald Trump continues to rake in huge piles of cash, but very little of that money has gone toward the causes for which donors believe they are giving. At the heart of various fundraising projects are misleading solicitations that appear primarily to target desperate and loyal middle and lower-income Trump supporters.

Between November 3, and January 31, Trump raised more than $255 million from voters on the claim that the money would fuel the legal warfare needed to contest the election results. According to Bloomberg, however, by December 4 the total spent on overturning the election was just $8.8 million.

The fine print in some fundraising emails stated that a donor would have to give over $8,000 before any funds went to an account created to finance election challenges, including recounts and lawsuits over alleged fraud. As a result, large sums would go instead to Trump’s Save America PAC.

Trump also aggressively fundraised on the Georgia Senate runoff elections, imploring his supporters to give to “STOP Socialist Dems” cold. “But the fine print shows that most of the proceeds are going toward Trump’s newly launched PAC.”

What exactly is Trump’s Save America PAC? “The money in the Save America PAC, unlike money contributed to a standard campaign committee, can be used to benefit Trump in innumerable ways,” explained the Washington Post’s Philip Bump. “Memberships to golf clubs. Travel. Rallies. Even payments directly to Trump himself, as long as he declares it income.”

Save America has been at odds with its stated purpose from the outset, as money donated to the PAC could not “be used to support Mr. Trump’s own campaign or the cost of litigation arising from his campaign,” according to Brendan Fischer. Fischer is an expert in campaign finance and government ethics at the Campaign Legal Center.

At the center of this is a cast of familiar characters: Jason Miller, Bill Stepien, Brad Parscale. All of them close confidants of Jared Kushner, and all with intimate knowledge of the operation that covertly spent nearly a billion dollars in campaign cash on anything but the campaign during the 2020 election cycle.

Read the Fine Print

Before donating to Trump’s Save America PAC, read the fine print.

Better yet, look at the cast of characters as well as Trump’s own character.

This is not a Save America Pact, it’s an outright scam.

At this time in our national history, our country faces three major threats… one is our debt to foreign interests, the second is our loss of identity, and third is the influx of illegal invaders who have no understanding of our unique system of government and our individual rights which rest in our Constitution. President Trump was not perfect by any means, but no real leader ever is. He had his share of flaws, and he never denied that. But he did more to secure this nation and to try and restore the ideals of our Founders than any other president in recent times. His policies were right in line with those of both Kennedy and Reagan. He was, indeed, a bull in the proverbial China shoppe, but sometimes you need a Patton instead of an Eisenhower, and we certainly need that now.

Hillary should be behind bars right now nothing less. Along with all her Co-conspirators in the Russian collusion BS. Some people are afraid to talk about it though, I won’t mention any names, we already know who they are.

If any of it was illegal The liberals would have had Trump in Jail by now, mostly BS as usual. Trump is still living rent free in the liberals heads. He’s got rallies coming up he can use some of the money for them. Why hasn’t Mish gone after any of the corrupt liberal trash who created the Russian collusion BS? Come on Mish, you can do better than this. Are you afraid to go after the corrupt liberals? I think so!!!!!!

This wasn’t run by anyone in the Trump family. And it was still going on (in Trumps name) until very recently until Trump himself put a stop to it. This was run by the slimly regular cast of Republicans in the GOP. If you give to the GOP, you’re a fool.

And strangely, Trump would need to be painted far worse, before I would feel good about a Biden Presidency. That’s the state of American politics, today.

First there was Greensill and now Archegos. Makes me wonder how Nomura and Credit Suisse were ever able to sell themelves as finacial risk experts and why they deserve any Fed support when this is how they earn their money

Just out of curiosity, what do you really know about Donald Trump? Are you basing your opinion on actual fact or what you hear from the radical leftist media? (And trust me, the media is just that at this point.) Trump restored our economy in two years, had jobs returning to our shores, made international agreements more fair to our country, was incrementally bringing our military back home, defeated the evil ISIS, worked to finally secure our southern border, filled the courts with judges who still believe in our Constitution, supported law and order over crime and chaos, and actually DID bring more true equality and opportunity to ALL U.S. citizens. How exactly is that “skewed judgment and poor handling”?

You’re free to believe your illusion that the blue party isn’t currently the biggest threat to democracy and capitalism in the US.

I worked for the Clinton campaign in 1992 because a lot of us believed Bill would be the next JFK. We were sorely mistaken, and in 1996 I supported Bob Dole due to the fact that I had seen from the inside what the Clintons really were. Hillary was a seething basket case, a tyrant, given to fits of blind rage with the temperament of a berserker. Having her in the Oval Office would have been incalculably volatile, and terribly dangerous for the entire world. So yes, rest assured, Hillary was NOT the better option. Just ask any of the Secret Service members who were on duty at the White House, I know three of them personally, and I know what they told me.

Did Trump benefit from this? or did only Kushner’s colleagues?

Anyone contributing to this is an idiot. There’s no chance the election would be overturned no matter what evidence is uncovered.

This is common among many charities. Only a small pct actually goes toward the cause. Most goes to employees.

You can actually look up the figures you talk about fir registered charities. Most large charities are 20% or less. You can decide if that is too much for you.

Illegal no, but sleazy yes. It was in the fine print that Trump was not going to use the money for the advertised purposes and yet his followers didn’t seem to care. Its not like there’s no history of this. Trump was found to engage in self dealing with his charitable foundation.

Nowhere in the article does it say illegal. Not even does the Campaign Legal Center say so. The most the article says is that it showed impropriety. I am not for PACs at all Republican, Democrat or Libertarian. I do expect that the title of a post accurately describes the rest of the post and in this case it didn’t.

The title is correct. It says it would have been illegal to use the funds as described. Since they are not being used that way, it is legal.

The tile is “Trump Raised Tens of Millions of Dollars to Do Something That’s Illegal”.

There is no would in it. It says Trump did something illegal with the money and apparently he did not. True he raised money but nowhere did he used it to do something illegal and that was said in the article Mish cited. To say that he could do something illegal with it is true of you, me and anybody who receives money. It is a misleading tile and someone who only reads titles would have the impression that Trump did something illegal with the money. It is deceptive journalism and in normal times would have not been allowed.

He raised tens of millions of dollars by telling potential donors that he was going to do something, and that something would be illegal if he actually did it. He, however, is not going to do what he said in his solicitation. Instead he’s going to keep the money, which is legal.

The Clinton Foundation indeed was just as large of a scam.

Fortunately donations dried up in Nov 2016, for some reason.

Big difference between the Trump con-artist family and the Clinton con-artist family… Trump hustled outside of public “service” for a long time, so he didn’t need the office to do it. Clintons needed their office to run their scams. So once the country put a fork in Hillary, the Clinton Foundation lost over 90% of its revenue stream and they had to drastically cut operations, firing all but a couple employees.
