Trump Says Tulsi Gabbard Is on His VP Short List, Who Else?

This report regarding Tulsi Gabbard seems wild. But reportedly it came up in a Fox news town hall event.

The VP Short List

Please consider Trump Acknowledges Six Names On His VP Shortlist: ‘All Solid’

Donald Trump on Tuesday acknowledged at least six names that he said are on his vice presidential shortlist.

During a Fox News town hall event in Greenville, South Carolina, host Laura Ingraham asked the former president about six potential running mates, including three of his erstwhile GOP primary rivals: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

She also cited Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate who left the party in 2022 after aligning herself increasingly with the political right.

“Are they all on your shortlist?” Ingraham asked.

“They are,” Trump said. “Honestly all of those people are good. They’re all good, they’re all solid.” He also singled out Scott, pointing out the senator in the audience, saying “a lot of people are talking about that gentleman right over there.”

Several other names have been thrown around as a potential Trump running mate, including Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), whom he has reportedly praised as a potential choice.

Flashback Tulsi Endorses Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders is correct about war, but little else.

We wasted trillions of dollars of money in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, Syria, Vietnam, etc., that could have been spent here instead.

A friend of mine commented:

As you know, I have been a fan of hers since 2016 (I often called myself a Tulsi-Democrat)  since she gave up her career in the Democratic Party by resigning as co-chair of the DNC to endorse and then later to nominate Bernie Sanders  and then to her leaving the  party around 2021-22 party as it  became evident that the Democratic Party was a clear and present danger to nation.

I had a similar “oh shit” moment three years ago this week. It was one month after the inauguration, and it was becoming very clear that this administration was going to be very much different than how Biden had been presented and that the agenda that would be pursued was going to be an attack on the country. It was also clear by that time that Biden was going to be a figurehead and would not be calling the shots.

Another friend commented “Tusli brings nothing to the table.”

I disagree.

Tusli would bring the number one most important thing to the table. She is a woman.

What About Scott?

The potential pick up from female voters vastly exceeds the potential pickup of black voters by naming South Carolina Senator Tim Scott as VP.

Blacks are only 13.6 percent of the population. Females are 50.4 percent of the population.

Scott would be a poor choice.

Elise Stefanik, Tulsi Gabbard, Kristi Noem

Elise Stefanik, Tulsi Gabbard, Kristi Noem bring the single most important thing to the ticket. They are all women.

Gabbard’s Military Service

In April 2003, while serving in the Hawaii State Legislature, Gabbard enlisted in the Hawaii Army National Guard. In July 2004, she was deployed for a 12-month tour in Iraq, serving as a specialist with the Medical Company, 29th Support Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. In Iraq, Gabbard served at Logistical Support Area Anaconda, completing her tour in 2005.Because of the deployment, she chose not to campaign for reelection to the state legislature.

In March 2007, she graduated from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy. She was commissioned as a second lieutenant, and assigned to the 29th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Hawaii Army National Guard, this time to serve as an Army Military Police officer. She was stationed in Kuwait from 2008 to 2009. She was one of the first women to enter a Kuwaiti military facility, as well as the first woman to receive an award of appreciation from the Kuwait National Guard.

Gabbard is a recipient of the Combat Medical Badge and the Meritorious Service Medal. On October 12, 2015, she was promoted from the rank of captain to major at a ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. She continued to serve as a major in the Hawaii Army National Guard until her transfer to the 351st Civil Affairs Command, a California-based United States Army Reserve unit assigned to the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, in June 2020.

The above Military Record from Wikipedia.

Noem Sends Troops to the Border

Please note that on February 20, Gov. Noem announces another National Guard deployment to southern border

Governor Kristi Noem announced that she will deploy South Dakota National Guard troops to the southern border later this spring. This will be the fifth time that the South Dakota National Guard has deployed to the southern border to assist in border security efforts during the Noem Administration.

“The border is a warzone, so we’re sending soldiers,” said Governor Noem. “These soldiers’ primary mission will be construction of a wall to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, drug cartels, and human trafficking into the United States of America.”

South Dakota National Guard soldiers are being deployed to the southern border in response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s request for help dealing with the border crisis. 60 soldiers will be sent over three months. Details about their mission may not be disclosed for security reasons.

Last month, the South Dakota legislature and Governor Noem held the first joint session in the nation to support Texas’ efforts to secure the border against threats from the Biden administration. Governor Noem gave a special speech to the joint session of the legislature, and shortly after, the legislature became the first in the nation to pass a resolution in support of Texas’ efforts and states’ rights.

Noem’s Affair

Here’s the strike against Noem: SD Gov. Kristi Noem having ‘absurdly blatant and public’ affair with ‘handsy’ Trump aide Corey Lewandowski, sources say

Trump would be wise to take that into consideration.

So Who Is It?

I think Gabbard would bring in a lot of independents and women. But I have no idea what to expect or even who is really on the short list.

Trump may easily be stringing us along for political impact. And perhaps he doesn’t even know yet.

My best guess is still this: A woman would bring much more to the ticket because they are 50.4 percent of the population.

THIS IS NOT a person you want as VP let alone one step from being the Prez … yeah I know she sounds good and yeah she’s good looking .. go look at what she thinks .. guns and liberty come to mind …. she was a Dem .. then saw the light ? Yeah … I don’t trust her ….. If I got lucky to have a lost weekend in Vegas with here …. I’d keep my wallet under my pillow .

ALSO if she really is in the short list .. this tells me … Trump did not learn his lesson on who to hire around him at the White House …. looks like he’s making the same mistakes again

Both Tulsi and Trump were Democrats. The Democrat party has moved so far to the woke left that those who were moderate Democrats are now Republicans. This also applies to not just Trump and Tulsi but to more and more Hispanics and blacks who are becoming Republicans.

Newsmax did a “softball” right of center test interview there. Noem answered well. Her answers were in keeping with centrist, perhaps conservative views. If she can field harder Q’s from the left with similar grace, she should be considered. Affairs don’t matter. You can’t overturn RvW without shoring up the 50.4% with a candidate who conducts themselves with reason and civility.

I like Gabbard, but she’s a democrat at heart and I find it unlikely that she would agree to run with Trump, or that the Republican party would accept her. I doubt they have even had any discussions. It is more likely that Trump was just being polite and refusing to cross anyone off a list that he did not make. To do so would be viewed as confirmation people not crossed off the list were on the real list. It was just a trap he wisely avoided falling into.

I would advise you gloaters and any others on the pro-MAGA right to be very careful about beating your chest and making ridiculously over confident predictions. Remember the ‘red wave’ baloney that we all were being fed during the mid-terms, and how cocksure millions of naive morons on the pro-MAGA right were that the GOP would blow the DemonRats out – and instead, the diabolically evil, nation wrecking DemonRats wound up kicking the GOP’s butts?

Here is the deal. At least half of the population of this nation – HATES the America as founded by our 100 percent White European Founding Fathers. At least HALF of the current population would fully support the transformation of this Constitutional Republic into a USSR Soviet style Communist-Socialist nation. Study the polls, people. In every poll I have seen for at least the last 10-15 years, the Democrat voting segment of the US population – when questions are on those polls that ask about issues like Freedom of Speech, or about the Second Amendment or about whether the US government has become too tyrannical and whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, Democrat voters have consistently voted in favor of less freedom and more government tyranny and more government intrusion into our lives.

As hard as it is to believe, there a millions of brain dead morons who are not at all angry over the incredible damage that this dementia ridden, treasonous occupant of the stolen White House has done to this nation since illegitimately taking power in 2021. And, they want to see this P.O.S. be given another 4 years to continue his destruction of America.

I think Tulsi would be more likely to join RFK Jr’s ticket. Both former Democrats (well, RFK still considers himself a Dem though he’s running independent), both are supposed to be anti-war, both still lean liberal, etc.

Hard to say what Trump is going to do. Apart from Noem, I’m not sure there are any high-profile Republican women who would fit the bill. Huckabee-Sanders from Arkansas perhaps, she was his press secretary at one point. That is if she’s still on his side, as he did seem to have a falling out with her replacement.

Tulsi is now very much anti-establishment, which means she’ll be under extreme attack from day one. Anyone that the Clintons desperately attack (check what Hillary did when Tulsi was running for president) has my support. Doubt the rumors will pan out but I hope they do.

Would Tulsi accept? Going from the DNC to Sanders to Trump? That might be a long shot.

Would you accept what would likely be a 70% likelihood of being the VPOTUS for an 80yo POTUS who is Constitutionally limited to 4 years?

Heck if Trump croaks before 2028 she’d be POTUS and not owe a thing to either Party. For better and for worse, she’d be the most unhinged POTUS ever.

Tulsi would bring some level-headedness and would really shake things up.

No Republican MAGA VP candidate can do any such thing.

If they challenge King Chaos in any way…
they may as well bring their own rope necktie.

And if SCOTUS buys in to his ignorant lawyers arguements of full immunity…
Trump could issue orders to have his opponents eliminated.

Let’s get this MAGA Party started: shake, rattle & roll them heads.

Corrupt Biden is a Russian asset, Putin started war against Ukraine with Biden’s approval,so the Bidens and deep state defense contractors can launder billions of tax payers dollars to their personal gain. Always 10% for the big guy.

Gabbard would be great. Putin would then have the entire top echelon of the US government on remote control.

Joe Biden and Hunter Biden are Russian assets. Clinton and Obama are ex KGB operatives.

Are you Alexander Smirnov? In any case, you are confusing MAGA talking points about Ukraine and Russia.

Speaking of Putin, when he gave Tucker the history lesson, what/who was he referring to when he gave the disclaimers several times “I don’t know why … Lenin… Stalin…the Bolsheviks … did this or that”? Homework for the U.S. viewers.

He can blame Lenin and Stalin for destroying Russia but the fact is that it was Russians who pulled the triggers that killed millions of other Russians when Lenin and Stalin gave the order. It’s in their culture.

God, please yes. We all know they’ll never let Trump be President even if he wins in a landslide. Tulsi actually has some good sense and is tempered by military experience unlike the chicken hawks.

Trumps Ticket needs a Women . . . the question is which one will have the biggest pulling power Kristi, Tulsi or Stefanik . . .

Tulsi is down to earth and has a lot less baggage and is a former soldier . . . that should play well with the undecided voters as well as the fact that she is not a Neocon and left the Democratic party are the biggest pluses . . .

Will be very important to see who TRUMP finally selects . . . she could end of being the next President after TRUMP.

I can’t believe folks seriously consider the married in name only Kristi Noem after her getting banged like a cheap gong by Lewandowski scandal broke. Trump doesn’t need that kind of “family values” attention. You really want a scandal ticket?

LOL Kamala was Willie Brown’s chew toy, how much did that matter? “Family values”? What are you, 80 years old? The fact that you think there is such a thing as “scandal” in politics after the days of “Macanudo Bill” Clinton is laughable.

Would they willingly and knowingly put forth a slate of fake electors to try and alter a fair election? That was the test in 2020, unfortunately for Trump he didn’t give Pence that test in 2016 and was disappointed to learn Pence’s allegiance was first to the USA and US Constitution, not to Herr Trumpski
