The Anatomy of a Murder by ICE, and Team Trump’s Defense of It

Here’s a timeline of the murder of Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

Please consider Timeline: A Moment-by-Moment Look at the Shooting of Alex Pretti

Federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident, Alex Jeffrey Pretti, at about 9 a.m. Central time on Saturday morning. A video shared with The New York Times by a witness and her lawyer, as well as other video footage posted on social media, documents the violent scene, where agents appear to fire at least 10 shots in a span of five seconds.

The footage seems to contradict the Department of Homeland Security’s account of the encounter, which the agency said began after an individual armed with a handgun approached the federal agents with the intent to “massacre” them.

[Mish: Let’s stop the bullshit, NYT. The footage does not “seem” to contradict the Administration’s lies, it 100 percent contradicts the administration’s lies. Even the WSJ got this correct on its font page: Videos Contradict U.S. Account of Minneapolis Shooting by Federal Agents]

The agent in the gray coat removes the weapon from the scene. It matches the profile of a gun that D.H.S. says belonged to Mr. Pretti. Then, while Mr. Pretti is on his knees and restrained, the agent standing directly above him appears to fire one shot at Mr. Pretti at close range. He immediately fires three additional shots.

The diagram below shows the position of the agents, Mr. Pretti and other civilians at this moment.

[Mish: Many timestamped images in the article, then a display of the image in the upper right of my lead image.]

Several agents have moved away from Mr. Pretti, who has collapsed. Another agent — the same one who shoved the civilians into the street and pepper-sprayed Mr. Pretti — unholsters his gun and fires at Mr. Pretti. The first agent also fires additional shots. Together, they fire six more shots at Mr. Pretti while he lies motionless on the ground.

At least 10 shots appear to have been fired within five seconds. By the moment of the 10th shot, the agent who moved away with the weapon has crossed the street.

The Blatant Administration Lies

  • Stephen Miller, President Trump’s homeland security adviser, called the victim, Alex Pretti, who was filming Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis, a “domestic terrorist.”
  • The Department of Homeland Security said an agent had fired “defensive shots” because he was “fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers.”
  • Gregory Bovino, a top Border Patrol official leading the crackdown in Minneapolis, said at a news conference on Saturday that Mr. Pretti “had two loaded magazines,” and appeared to want to do “maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.”
  • On Sunday, Trump said Democrats were to blame for the killings, not federal agents.

Lies, Lies, and Lies. The Administration knows nothing but lies.

To justify an increasingly violent crackdown, the pattern of the Trump Administration is to immediately go on the offensive, demonize the victim, distort the facts, and tell lies that only MAGA clowns wearing TWS hats can justify.

The official statement said Mr. Pretti “approached” officers with handgun and the “armed suspect violently resisted” when officials tried to disarm him.

Lies, Lies, Lies

And everyone can see it (except of course for the racists and MAGA clowns blind to anything that goes against what their cult leader says).

In November, a federal judge found that Mr. Bovino had lied multiple times about federal agents’ use of force during immigration enforcement operations in Chicago.

The Hypocrites

The Trump administration has argued strongly for the right to carry guns. A Justice Department suit filed in December against the U.S. Virgin Islands over its gun permitting process, for example, noted that “law-abiding citizens” have “a fundamental right to ‘carry handguns publicly for self-defense.’”

Jordan Levine, who runs an online gun rights advocacy company called A Better Way 2A, said that “what happened in Minneapolis shows that ICE will treat the mere presence of a legal firearm as justification for lethal force. Carrying a gun is not a crime, yet it was readily used as proof of dangerous intent once Alex Pretti was dead and unable to contest that narrative.”

Top Republicans Rail Against the Second Amendment Right to Carry Guns

Yesterday, I commented Top Republicans Rail Against the Second Amendment Right to Carry Guns

Was presumption of guilt for carrying a gun, by Republicans, on your bingo card?

Trump’s ICE Waterloo

Murdering Renee Nicole Good, a lesbian woman, was easier to brush away.

“A domestic terrorist, really?” Somehow the Administration got away with that obvious lie.

But murdering a white male who was legally carrying a gun, assisting a woman who was pepper sprayed, the man then shot in the back 10 times by two different ICE officers was the line in the sand.

All but the most brain dead of Trump’s supporters are disturbed by this, and of course the administration’s lies to cover it up.

No doubt this will bring me even more condemnation than usual, but what say we call it a death in action rather than a murder? A policeman getting killed while fighting someone (rightly or wrongly) could also be called a death in action. Police forces are the government’s armed wing for protection against its domestic prey. They aren’t really there to protect us: their main function is to be the actual muscle that protects official corruption and impudence.

Showing an AI image is not the best way to make your case. You also omitted the fact that Pretti’s gun fired a shell as it was being carried away (i.e. the gun was loaded with a shell in the chamber and safety off). Pretti was wrestling with several officers as he resisted them, his gun was spotted and one offer yelled GUN!, and Pretti’s gun fired off the first shell. ICE officers only fired afterward.

Clearly, all of you saying Mr. Pretti should not have had a concealed carry weapon on him at a protest should be prepared to have your 2A rights withdrawn. Recognize that, at this point, neither party wants an armed citizenry but it’s ok for the military to take us down in cold blood. Hypocrites.

I just finished reading and watching an excellent article by “Hot Air” on this subject matter. After reading that and then followed up by Mish’s Post, and I must say he was shot, and it appears perhaps in the back even. Regardless, it does appear the agent overreacted in the dismay.

In fairness, the man shot, should not have had a loaded gun, and mags as well, at a legal protest. No need to have it, and certainly none to pull it out. With that being said, it may have played a big role, in the heated moment, and the cause of the shot being fired.

That does in no way excuse the officers actions, but may help to explain them, and have a lot to do with the outcome of the determination and if punishment is warranted. I’m not on either side, but the fair and honest side. A lot of people are not at all looking for fairness and honesty unfortunately.

just google

===

Mark is not Dem, but he also talking about stupid trump;s officials but most important he posted segment (from 15 min on) about actually officers and how they should have reacted in shooting case.

basically to make it short: OFFICERS DID WHAT / HOW THEY WERE TRAINED TO DO in such situations !!

as soon as there is gun in such scene , pretty much person is going to die.

The line is that they were at the time pursuing an armed and dangerous illegal immigrant and Pretti got in the way. With all the lies that have been told I have my doubts about the truth of this as well. What happened to this armed and dangerous immigrant, did he get away or was he arrested? If he is still on the loose should the public be informed what about a picture to be released to the media?

Is there some record of conversations between ice agents that references this other person? Where did the intelligence related to this other person come from?

Has anyone heard anything on this?

What does the DHS have to hide if it insists on carrying out its own investigation. If everything is as they say it is then you would think they would want to be fully transparent and have an outside objective party conduct the investigation.

I think they know they have a problem.

Shooting somebody in the back is proof positive that it is defensive.

Regardless of the myriad aspects that can be considered in cases such as this, trigger happy cops are as American as apple pie. It’s not like there’s only a handful of exceptions. Shooting blind/deaf or quadriplegics or people that are not mentally competent for failure to comply is no exception; or assisting a threatened suicide by shooting them.

There is a deeper cultural current that undergirds individual events.
The routine use of swat teams and tactical gear is part of this.
Why not stake out somebody’s house and have the peace officer apprehend them when they go out for cigarettes, and without the camera team pre-positioned. Waiting people out goes a long way. The glorification of shows of force is too culturally embedded to steer clear by tuning policies.

May I add, this dude was pinned chest down with what, some 6 officers holding down arms and legs, disarmed when two of them started shooting him 10 times WHILE THE OTHER OFFICERS WERE HOLDING HIM DOWN??? Talk about the biggest threat to law enforcement was other law enforcement. Then one of the officers are on video clapping after the shooting?
THIS is rogue law enforcement culture these days

Part of the deeper cultural current is also the stand-off between federal and local law enforcement (sanctuary city) and the political muscle behind protest c.q. running interference. There’s always a bigger context to everything.

I often wonder how many journalists, podcasters, bloggers, etc. in this country are clueless out of ignorance or are just in agreement with the events that are happening.

ZeroHedge article: minneapolis-signal-gate-alleged-anti-ice-low-level-insurgency-command-exposed-messaging

Excerpt:

Eric Schwalm, a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret who held the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4, offered his assessment of events unfolding in Minneapolis.

Schwalm described the command-and-control dynamics operating within left-wing activist Signal groups as a form of “low-level insurgency infrastructure,” noting it appears to be created by individuals who have clearly studied and internalized the insurgency playbook.

Schwalm continued:

As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops—both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—I’ve seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly.

What’s unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn’t “protest.” It’s low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who’ve clearly studied the playbook.

Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse.

This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s.

The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. When your own citizens build and operate this level of parallel intelligence and rapid-response network against federal officers—complete with doxxing, vehicle pursuits, and harassment that’s already turned lethal—you’re no longer dealing with civil disobedience. You’re facing a distributed resistance that’s learned the lessons of successful insurgencies: stay below the kinetic threshold most of the time, force over-reaction when possible, maintain popular support through narrative, and never present a single center of gravity.

I spent years training partner forces to dismantle exactly this kind of apparatus. Now pieces of it are standing up in American cities, enabled by elements of local government and civil society. That should keep every thinking American awake at night.

Not because I want escalation. But because history shows these things don’t de-escalate on their own once the infrastructure exists and the cadre believe they’re winning the information war.

We either recognize what we’re actually looking at—or we pretend it’s still just “activism” until the structures harden and spread.

Your call, America. But from where I sit, this isn’t January 2026 politics anymore. It’s phase one of something we’ve spent decades trying to keep off our own soil.

Even if it is organized and even paid at some level, I’d find it difficult to believe that most protestors at this point are paid agitators. People are legitimately upset. The government is receiving a strong signal that it has f**ked up and it had better listen.

The government is what is pushing people towards civil war with “domestic terrorist” rhetoric and threats to deploy the military. We haven’t seen anything like the Rodney King riots yet or even George Floyd, but the risk is that it gets out of control if this continues into summer with more escalation.

what nonsense. Zero Hedge. give u a break. 100% of what they say is exactly what Putin says.

as to content of article the message from Trump admin is ” the resistance is all organized”. Yeah, so?? why wouldn’t it be? this is how people communicate now, on social media, in groups. they are like minded individuals determined to protest ICE, to tape them, to let immigrants know when ICE is going and so on, and they are using smartphones to do it. So what? protecting is legal and organizing protests is legal. you seem to think because it’s organized as opposed to completely spontaneous that it’s illegal. it’s not. MAGA groups do this too, constantly. they organize marches, protests, Jan 6 … all was organized online with various groups feeding it. that part of it wasn’t illegal.

the article lacks specifics beyond that it’s sophisticated, it’s not civil disobedience. yes, because in the 1960s they didn’t have smartphones and social media. of course a modern day resistance movement will be tightly organized and “sophisticated” because the tech is sophisticated and makes all this really easy.

Merely pointing out known facts and the need for a transparent investigation on the MN shootings will get you a 4:1 downvote to upvote ratio. He talks about these people organizing as if they’re trying to overthrow the government which is bad on you. They’re just trying to protect their community from an invasion

I wonder how he would interpret the Boston tea party.

A lot of what you describe is the same C&C infrastructure that you find with prairie dogs. Trying not to die is not the same as insurrection but I can understand the confusion. They can often look the same if you’re on the killing side. So disobedient to want to live, it’s unnatural.

I suppose I’ve left it much too late to comment on this, but isn’t this really good? These people may be wrong about a lot of things, but at least they’re trying to fight government. I have only read about this sort of thing, but surely people fighting back, however wrong and ignorant they may be, is better than everyone just lying down and letting the government do whatever it likes to them.

My hope would be that evil right-wing people like myself will stop thinking that government can ever be on our side (without Trump anyway), and start learning to fight, too. My fear is that we shall find ourselves obliged to side with the government against the city masses, just as the French provincials found themselves fighting on the side of the official French Government against the Paris Commune in 1870.

Seems few here are attempting to justify this shooting. Good. Much better commentary than the ice shooting of Renee Good. Murder is murder. It doesn’t matter if your murderer shoots another person on the other side. It’s still murder. I am an old time pat Buchanan Paleocon and Ron Paul Libertarian. I despise most cops- For many reasons, both personal and from my professional prosecutorial experience. I despise the police State and know full well that when the democrats get in power, they will control the cops and turn them against us. The Police State and out of control cops should be feared and resisted by everyone, regardless of your own political party and beliefs and regardless of which political party happens to be in charge when they release their goons against their political opponents.

How did trump supporters enjoy their political oppression under Biden with regard to several thousand J6 protestors. Ashley Babbit was murdered. So were Good and Pretti. I fear a government that supports and condones such murders. I don’t care if it’s Trump or Biden. I fear the Police State. Conservatives should be very careful about excusing their own brownshirts while condemning the other sides police goons. Most voted for trump to end censorship, political persecution and the police State. He has disappointed greatly. Unless he changes back to honor his promises, If you still support Trump, you are not a conservative. You’re just another ignorant member of a cult called MAGA.

Police goons? Ashley Babbit was illegally involved in an insurrection and had stormed the Capitol with thousands of Trump supporters. There is a vast difference between her and the right to protest or witness what ICE is doing.
The sole purpose of the coup on the Capitol was to prevent the orderly transition of power. Do not equate the Capitol Jan 6th insurrection with lawful protest. Neither of the two, Renee Good or Alex Pretti, were anywhere near the Jan 6 level of violence and illegality.

Do not conflate the two.

Biden did not oppress anyone who had behaved legally.

J6 is complicated. There’s the issue of accused fed instigators within the crowd, officers on video footage letting people in, a mysterious pipe bomb planted nearby possibly with FBI connections. Re: Babbitt, that did look to me like a mob capable of violence and I understand the shooting rationale. But I don’t know that I’d consider it a bonefide insurrection – seemed like an incited, angry crowd carried by emotion with no real plan and far from the type of armaments that would be required to overthrow a cruise ship, not to speak of the government.

Do you have evidence? Don’t talk to me about blindness when anyone can watch released footage. They aren’t all goons. In fact, most looked like they couldn’t believe they got inside and are just posing, taking pictures and walking around casually. It was stupid as hell and they certainly trespassed at a minimum, every one of them. The agitated individuals trying to break into the inner sanctum were a fraction of the total.

I’m open to the idea that Trump thought about it and hoped protests would stop Biden from being elected, but I can’t go off that and assume he planned how it went down with people breaking in. That’s why I was against impeachment (in addition to the fact that the process took place after he left office – highly irregular). Barring a successful impeachment, it had the potential to turn him into a political martyr that would backfire. I told my parents the same a few years later when all these legal cases were brought against him. He turned his mugshot into a publicity stunt to raise money, and well.. we know now how this all has turned out.

There were many misrepresentations about J6 and odd happenings (more I haven’t brought up here). Anyone who says they know exactly what happened, and how it was planned I think is kidding themselves. Odds are anyone who really knew with a willingness to tell would have double-tapped themselves by now. That’s about as conspiratorial as I get but seriously I do believe in body counts. You don’t want to mess with the gangsters – left or right.

I just can’t mindread when it comes to his intent with his speech to have a literal insurrection as has been claimed.

I’m also inclined to believe that some fraction of the individuals had insurrection in mind. As with Trump, I cannot mindread, but I think it likely most of the people who entered the Capitol were dumb sheep, hoping to revel in the moment, have their voices heard somehow.

Sentient

I don’t think there’s such a thing as an unarmed insurrection. And a pointy flag pole doesn’t count. Clearly many of the people inside the Capitol had been allowed in and they stayed within the roped walkways. Ashley Babbitt was violently storming an area leading to senators. Her shooting was understandable. So, yeah, it’s complicated. There were definitely professional instigators. I think the bombs were planted by a government employee. That poor kid they recently nabbed from Virginia and pinned it on is a totally innocent patsy who they “suddenly” discovered after five years – just to distract from the CIA woman who’d been recently named as the bomb planter. The bomb planter used a cellphone in the video. It would have been trivially simple to find them 5 years ago – if they’d actually been looking. The whole thing was a government operation, although a few of the J6 protesters got out of hand.

Ashley Babbit was murdered. Capitol Hill police willingly escorted most of the “mob” inside. A couple of them were standing next to her when she was shot. The thugs who committed violence were rightfully charged. Most however, did nothing other than follow the crowd inside as police waved them in. They were harassed, persecuted, hunted down, charged and imprisoned because there was ZERO chance a DC jury would acquit any of them because of their support of Trump. You can’t have an insurrection where those you claim are trying to overthrow the Government are unarmed. Maybe I should have called the Democrat Congress, their president and DOJ “goons” That would have been more appropriate than picking on the poor feckless police. My view of the police can be summarized by what happened in Uvalde where over 300 police from over a dozen State and federal law enforcement agencies did nothing for 71 minutes while some wacko kid systematically executed 19 children, several of whom called on their cell phones begging for someone to save them. Same thing essentially happened in Columbine and other massacres.

Tollsforthee
Tollsforthee

“Most” of the protestors didn’t get ‘waved in by police’.

The Capitol, if you have ever been there, has dozens and dozens of entrances. There was a pitched battle that raged for hours, causing over a hundred police to get injuries ranging from mild to eventually causing fatality.

There were a couple of lightly staffed entrances where a single police member moved aside a barrier once the mob made their entrance.

But the vanguard of the J6 people were beating cops with everything they could get their hands on, flagpoles, barricades, fire extinguishers; it was a violent, disgusting display of MAGA TWS manifesting into a huge embarrassment for our country.

Don’t minimize it and claim it was ‘unarmed’ or that Babbitt was ‘murdered’. She was hopping through a broken window just steps away from where we seat our legitimately elected Congress.

It seems to me a case can be made that the Trump administration over representing itself in democratic strongholds that want to be sanctuaries is causing more of a threat than the folks they are supposed chasing down with totally unjustified/unlawful measures I am inclined to think standing down ICE in the jurisdictions that wish to be sanctuaries and federally funding at pre Biden administration levels (before unchecked immigration); then let them prosper or go broke fending for themselves. It would be rough for the folks who want law and order, but they do not have law and order now. It should be an easy sell to the sanctuary governments as they are advocating for ICE removal.
That does not solve a related root problem, namely the militarization of civilian police at all government levels. Why is an armored vehicle needed? Why are they dressed and equipped like soldiers? The unchecked government force and tactics is making our country similar to a third world dictatorship. This has progressed way beyond taking the worst of the worst off the streets. It will not change until there are many successful prosecutions against government individuals perpetrating the violence.

I traveled to half a dozen countries last year, what always strikes me when coming back is how “Gestapo-ish” America looks to the rest of the world. Cops armed to the teeth, body armor, other gear. And ironically, it doesn’t feel safe to walk alone at night in any major city in the US but common practice everywhere else and very safe.

You won’t notice it if you’re always in the states, it just becomes normalized behavior. It’s only when you leave and come back that you truly sense something is way off.

Cold-blooded killing is not justified even in a battlefield, much less on a city street. The man was unarmed & was shot and killed by bloodthirsty ICE agents. They must be held accountable & punished to the fullest extent of the law. The true domestic terrorists are Trump admin officials — puppy killer Noem, Cash Patel, Stephen Miller, and the rest.

There is still a powerful element that would prefer Rubio or DeSantis to Vance. They will try their hardest. Not sure there’s much difference since Vance seems to be going along with Trump’s regime change schemes (and continued assistance to the genocidal Israeli regime). You’d think the Dems would have 2028 locked up, but they’ll probably nominate some nut job and could grasp defeat from the jaws of victory. I’m past caring.

Nobody from MAGA changed their minds about ICE after this shooting. Nothing would ever make them change their minds.

They all came up with an excuse as to why the shooting was justified. That way they can remain sheltered in their safe spaces.

I doubt nobody. MAGA (whatever remains of it) is probably more fragmented than ever. But there’s a tendency for certain sites to become concentrated cesspool echo chambers (as happens when reasonable people decide to remove themselves from the conversation and leave).

It’s not even hard. Lots of people would support, say, deporting people who have committed serious crimes, probably just by doing that when they encounter the law in the normal course of events (traffic stop, renewing vehicle registration, whatever). Or by penalizing employers who employ people illegally.

There’s not actually any need for masked goons without warrants knocking down doors with guns drawn. That’s what you do when you’re arresting a terrorist (though if you want a conviction you probably still want a warrant!), not a roofer or a busboy or someone’s abuela. It’s not even an efficient use of resources, FFS. Just pointless cruelty and drama.

In this case, the medium is unidentified armored Brownshirt goons operating at maximum violence and with the full support of the regime. There is the message.

Your talking about the Tampon Tim regime that for years threatened those who were disgusted by the fraud? Or the brown shirts of the left who are going around demanding people show papers that they are not ICE agents? Or the goons that attacked a church just like the socialists of the national socialist party of Germany did?

Sounds great! Except the sanctuary cities are intentionally not arresting the illegals or notifying ICE when they have them in custody. Worse yet they are running interference by tipping off the activists about the location of ICE and the registration numbers of independent journalists that have exposed fraud. Why did the local police refuse to lift a finger when activists attacked ICE or Somalis attacked Nick and even told him that he wasn’t welcome?
So ICE is now in Injun Cuntry and need to respond to that hostility created by the far left.

Eh, Putin still lies all the time and he’s as secure of a dictator as can be. I think it’s because of the shared Judeo-Christian base of ethics (I know, I know) that broadly, we as a society want to believe that the government is truthful and supports righteousness.

The photo you show, as well as the other evidence, certainly make it look like cold-blooded murder. The administration’s story is just riddled with lies. Hopefully at some point we find out who the shooters are and put them on trial.

There is no statute of limitation on murder nor is there any presidential pardon but there will be no justice until dems take over government then they can bring charges on all the ICE agents and throw them in the slammer. These ICE animals will eventually end up in cages where they belong.

Dems running the government is exactly why Trump is president and ICE agents are swarming MN. All of this can be placed at the feet of a weak, mentally demented president and the leftist liars and media cucks that took advantage of him and covered it up for 4 years. This is our country now, swinging from one extreme to the other. When/If the left regains power they will double down on the nonsense that put Trump in the Whitehouse and around and around we go until civil war.

Don’t jump to conclusions. My personal opinion of Trump is not in any way positive. I don’t condone any of this, I am simply pointing out why we are here. Trump won the election overwhelmingly in good part because of the open borders nonsense and the incessant lying about it from the last administration. ICE is in MN because Trump is vindictive and looking to stick it to their weak governor, who made it easy for him by ostensibly looking the other way while a parasitic minority group stole billions of dollars from the tax payer.

Trump did not win the election overwhelmingly. It was a very narrow victory, 49.8% to 48.3% with 77M voting for Trump, and 75M voting for Harris. Why he won is debatable. While immigration may have been a small element, the bigger factors were the economy and inflation after the pandemic.

On election night it was a clear slaughter. Every single swing state a massive sweep by any standards but I have to give credit where credit is due, it never takes you leftists long to manufacture another narrative. Whatever you tell yourself is your business but it doesn’t change the facts. Also, we don’t care about the popular vote with an electoral college. If we did campaigns would be run very differently.

Tollsforthee

Eh, he barely won here in Wisconsin. There were more people who voted for 3rd-party candidates than the margin of difference between Trump and Harris. I was one of them.

Sure, he ran the table on the swing states. But it was by the barest of margins, don’t go around thinking he had a ‘massive slaughter’.

His ‘coattails’ didn’t get him much breathing room in the House or the Senate, either.

That’s part of the problem. He barely won, but he’s rampaging around like he’s got huge support everywhere. He’d be a lot better off if he was at least trying to peel off some moderates, or getting some compromise legislation.

Instead, you have bombings of boats, bombing of Iran, bombing of Gaza, Venezuela, threatening Greenland, cozying up to Putin, Elon Musk running around with a chainsaw, government shutdown, promised release of Epstein files, then signing it into law-but-not-releasing, destroying the East Wing to make a ballroom, etc, etc.

In one year!

Another false equivalency. Biden had chaos at the border. Trump has just relocated and magnified the chaos, setting ICE quotas that require them to hunt down and kill non criminals. Funny how our undocumented white people (Russians, Irish) are largely getting a pass.

A longtime forever Republican friend just posted that she is leaving the Republican party. Murder has consequences.

The crouched agent is wearing a black mask, so his head blends in with the standing agent’s black mid-section. In the videos, you can see the crouching agent’s masked head a bit better, but this frame is key as it shows the standing agent shooting a US citizen in the back. It’s not AI

In Alex Pretti’s hand is his cellphone, not a gun. There are multiple videos that show this clearly. Pretti never pulled his gun out. Another agent removed it from the holster, right before Pretti was shot. It’s possible this still image was run through a sharpen filter, but it is not AI.
