Iran Confirms Deal! Trump Says Congratulations to All, Strait Open

The Yea-Sayers were right. Official signing June 19 in Switzerland.

Trump Announces Deal

Truth Social: The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Jun 14, 2026, 3:29 PM

That’s not the important statement. Iran’s confirmation is.

Deal Confirmed

Translation With Subtitles

IRAN CONFIRM DEAL AGREED Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has said that all of Iran’s positions and important issues have been included in the draft memorandum. “Naturally, after the official signing, we will definitely publish the text.”

Persian subtitle in the video (translated to English):

“The humiliation and disgrace of America and the Zionist regime; Iran, by imposing its own will, forced America to accept the end of the war on all fronts.”

Subtitles by Grok with this comment: “This is the Iranian media’s framing of the news — a strong pro-Iran spin portraying the deal as a victory for Iran.

Positive/Pro-Iran Replies

  • @timbers12: “Iran won!” (In English))
  • @manirakizasudi: “That sounds like a great deal and I hope that Iran takes it with pride because there’s no country in the world that ever done what Iran did to two nuclear powers and comes out on top. Congratulations to the Iranian people ” (In English)
  • @bilalfarid78601: “NUCLEAR IRAN IS THE ONLY SOLUTION, PERIOD !” (In English)
  • @Solwiz313: “Alhumdulilla” → “Alhamdulillah” (Praise be to God)
  • @sarmahller: “Alhamdulilah…may the peace reign forever” (Praise be to God…)

Overall sentiment in replies: Mixed. Supporters see it as an Iranian win against superpowers; critics view it as capitulation, betrayal of allies (esp. Lebanon/Hezbollah), or a loss for the “Axis of Resistance.” Many express skepticism about enforcement and Israel’s compliance.

Prime Minister of Pakistan

Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.

We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard.

With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony.

US Concession

Iran State Media

Translation and Comments by Grok

“Pakistan’s Prime Minister announced the achievement of an agreement: End of the US war against Iran.”The anchor is reporting on the announcement by Pakistan’s Prime Minister (Shehbaz Sharif) regarding a deal/framework between the US and Iran to end the conflict/war. Iranian state TV is framing/covering the news of the US-Iran agreement (mediated by Pakistan, sometimes referred to as the Islamabad memorandum).

This matches broader recent reports: Pakistan has been mediating, and both the Pakistani PM and US officials (e.g., references to Trump) have announced progress toward or reaching a deal to end hostilities, with details on ceasefires (including Lebanon), sanctions relief, no Iranian nukes, etc., to be finalized soon.

Market Reaction to Iran Peace Deal

Iran Won

Trump’s announcement confirms. The strait is open.

Iran will immediately accumulate oil revenue.

Trump had no choice. Iran won.

The rest of the details are unconfirmed but it’s difficult to spin this as anything other than a victory for Iran with what we do know.

The yea-sayers who also called for Trump capitulation were correct. I was in that group for months.

Israel tried to wreck this and failed.

Its so evil the people who forced this war, but equally comical the rationalizations to pretend it was won by them too.

Somehow the White House imagines its opening the Straight of Hormuz even though it was never closed by them (and would remain closed by Iran) to begin with.

A ‘direct hit on the ocean’ for sure.

The toll question illustrates the gap between Trump’s framing and what was actually agreed. Trump announced “permanently toll-free” passage and described the deal as guaranteeing Iran “cannot develop or purchase a nuclear weapon” – claims that go well beyond the MOU as reported. On tolls specifically, the New York Times notes that the agreement suspends tolls for 60 days, after which a regional dialogue on the future begins. Iran had never charged tolls before the war, so Trump is, in effect, celebrating a return to the pre-war status quo on passage, while the post-ceasefire institutional question remains entirely unresolved

Trump also said they’re going to stop any Iranian ships carrying Chinese weapons. That would be a continuation of the blockade. Iran has said the MOU calls for immediate cessation of all Israeli attacks on Gaza. the West Bank and Lebanon. Iran held off on retaliating once, but Israel will continue its attacks.
Will Trump be able or willing to muzzle Israel. Probably not. Bibi’s bitch.

This is the biggest question to be answered: Will Trump actually walk away from Israel?

The answer is yet to be seen. History suggests he wont, and my eyes fail to see an answer ATM.

Israel does not consider itself bound by the Lebanon clause. Netanyahu has stated that no ceasefire is in effect in Lebanon, and Israeli security sources have confirmed the IDF will not withdraw from its security zone in the south.

Mish – Israel is still going to wreck it and the only way they might stop is if Trump publicly says they are on their own and no more weapon resupplies. As to the rest – funny how a deal is “done” yet neither side will release the text. If i is complete, why the need to hide it until next Friday? Why even wait until Friday? Trump will be just a few miles away from Switzerland, he can be late for his G7 nap.

Trump can’t let people see the 300B he promised to funnel to them. Let’s see how he manages to fund and transfer that. Americans have such short memories that they’ll fume for a week then forgive him.

The US president has told the New York Times that the final deal with Iran would limit Tehran to enriching at low levels that “could never be used by the military”.
According to the NYT, when asked whether that limit was the same as in the Obama-era deal – which limited enrichment to 3.67 percent – Trump said only that the new deal would assure that “they can only enrich for nonmilitary purposes. Forever.”

Congrats to Mish for not being swayed by mega-brainiacs like Dave Rubin and Mark Levin (has anyone done a welfare check on them? PLEASE keep them away from open windows and hide their belts and electric cords).

Only Trump could turn an international seaway into a toll road (yes, Iran is being paid money, even for those few ships that passed) and create a powerful regional hegemony which now dominates the Mideast.

Happy Birthday, Mr. President!

the US will not rebuild its bases. It’s a face-saving clause that basically states that the US has conceded the Middle East (for now) and Regarding that phrase:
The United States affirms that it will not increase the amount of troops or military assets present in the region, nor impose any new sanctions during the negotiations.
WOW That to me tells me that we are being taken to the wood shed but what region?

Oil price moving toward $150 remains a live scenario, though conditional on reopening being slow, contested, inadequately insured, or interrupted by Israeli escalation or the sequencing dispute. A clean and rapid reopening with full commercial normalisation would push prices lower as deferred supply returned to a demand-adjusted market. The base case sits between those outcomes: partial, contested, risk-premium-laden restoration of flows against an inventory buffer drawn down for four months and a sanctions regime that takes time to translate into barrels at a refinery.

It’s interesting that both parties say there is a deal but neither will articulate the terms. There’s more to this than we know – and given the history of both players…. It could be anything. But hopefully using an MOU approach gets the real discussion going, but I am skeptical they either side can keep the crazy under control

Trump is using the Nancy Pelosi method with diplomacy : “we have to pass it to find out what’s in it….”

Hardly.

Trump called for unconditional surrender and regime change. Neither of these will be in the document. This more like Kissinger’s “peace in our time”.

Basically, total capitulation.

Good news! However I think the long term agreement will prove elusive and it will be more of a US walk away in the end. So far in our mainstream media there still seems to be a lot of delusion as to where we are. Iran has escalation dominance period. A major war in the Middle East destroying the hydrocarbon infrastructure would absolutely crush the western driven world financial system.

There already appears to be a big problem. Sources are reporting that IRGC only agreed not to retaliate at the last minute due to a concession from Trump that Israel would leave Lebanon. Except Netanyahu is now saying that they will not leave Lebanon.

If Trump cannot resist pressure and reverses his promise, or if he cannot get Netanyahu effectively in-line, the MOU signing won’t happen Friday and IRGC will probably go forward with missile strikes.

Iran’s Security Council says deal includes immediate end to fighting in Lebanon

The Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council says the deal with the US includes the immediate suspension of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon, and an end to the US’s naval blockade on Iranian ports.

“Based on the agreements reached, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will end immediately and permanently as of tonight, and in addition, the naval blockade against Iran will end immediately and completely,” the statement reads.

“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will be officially held on Friday, June 19,” it said.

“Negotiations for a final agreement will be postponed until after the other party has fulfilled its obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding. The Islamic Republic of Iran appreciates the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Government of Qatar. Peace be upon you, God’s mercy and blessing.”

Well the real problem is that Trump can’t be trusted to honor any agreement, there is a long recorded history of his endless betrayals so the real question was always going to be, “how long will it take for Trump to renege on any deal with Iran?”

You have been a fucking joke for a while. In Ukraine your defeat was masked by your using a proxy and because you were fighting Russia together with a whole lot of vassals. In Iran too you have fought with the help of Israel and your local vassals BUT you have fought directly and openly so there was no hiding it this time.

I called it on the very first day and wrote here that this latest Judeo-American war was going to be the USA’s FAFO moment.

TACO or this administration in general has very little to do with this humiliating defeat other than the moronic decision to start this war just like the autopen’s administration with the NATO – Russia war in Ukraine. The fact of the matter is that your military is, just like the rest of the society and the country, in precipitous decline and not only is the US going to be the weaker of the three world superpowers, you are the ONLY declining one while the other two are resurging and rising quickly.

That said, I don’t think that this is the end of the Epstein Fury operation.

Oh yes, Russia certainly has won Ivan. No missing generation there!

Being serious. This win is squarely for Iran and China, Russia is still down half a million men and no closer to ending their three day operation.

All of that tracks given the way Russia and America are both relics of an age that has passed them by. Russia fell into a pathetic chest pounding fascist state who sells heroin and human cargo for a quick bitcoin, and America decided to follow. What’s left is a strong China who has both Russia and America on a leash, a rising Africa with no one to step on them, and a very confused Europe who has no big bad to fight. Israel’s clock has been ticking for a while and they know it’s running out, but I think the mideast will be fine. Iran’s still liberalizing in 20 years or so, maybe less thanks to America killing the old guard.

As someone who loves watching bullies eat shit, I’m pretty happy with this century so far.
