Top 10 Reasons Republicans Lost the Midterms through Trump’s Eyes

I compiled this list as a spoof over the course of the last month. How’d I do?

Top 10 Reasons Republicans Lost

  • 10: The radical Left ruined my beautiful reflecting pool
  • 9: Communists took my name off the Kennedy center
  • 8: If only my grand ballroom, Arch and golf course were completed.
  • 7: They did not give me the Nobel Peace Prize for stopping eight wars
  • 6: Supreme Court justices Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch are traitors
  • 5: Media communist liars and their fake polls, especially Fox News, caused Republicans to stay home.
  • 4: Senator Thune held up the SAVE Act.
  • 3: RINOs Running Wild. Governor Abbott is now a RINO too.
  • 2. Nobody appreciated Husted’s ass as much as I did.
  • 1. I wasn’t on the Ballot

This morning, I added Abbott to my RINO point, otherwise everything was on my list.

Not On the Ballot

Truth Social: I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Greg Abbott

Truth Social: If Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, hadn’t become a RINO in the last six months of his Political Life, he wouldn’t have lost. He went back to his original formula, and it wasn’t pretty! President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Fox News

Truth Social: Fox News Ratings are way down (27%!) because they’re spending too much time covering the Trump Deranged Dumocrats! All of those people who used to watch Fox, and no longer do, get it. It’s them, not me — My numbers are better than they have ever been. The new CNN Poll stated that “TRUMP” is at 99% among Republicans and, among Republican Presidents, “TRUMP” is at 53%, compared to Ronald Reagan at 18%, and Abraham Lincoln at 8%! Fox knows this, and so does everyone else! Also, why is Fox Corp. spending so much money donating to the Worst of the Worst, including Hakeem Jeffries, Jamie Raskin, Ted Lieu, Pete Aguilar, the California Dumocratic Party, the Dumocratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Dumocratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, the CHC Bold PAC, and the New Dumocrat Coalition Action Fund, among others? No wonder FoxNews Ratings are collapsing, and they’re going to go down a lot further. They’re way down, not because of me, but because they are AGAINST me! This happened once before, and Fox almost collapsed. It’s happening again! President DONALD J. TRUMP

More on Fox News

Truth Social: Why does FoxNews have Bill de Blasio, the Worst Mayor in the History of New York City, on air, ranting and raving like a Lunatic? He left the City in disgrace, and the damage he caused was incalculable — It has never been the same, and now he’s telling us how to run America. FoxNews bears responsibility for these losses by constantly and consistently putting on the Dumocrat opposition, and worse. GOD BLESS AMERICA! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Gee I Can Hardly Wait

Truth Social: I’m going to become a Political Pundit, both good and bad, on the reasons these Candidates won and lost! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Yet, in surprising twist that could complicate Schorr’s argument, Trump revealed last night that he has already spoke with Democrat leaders and expressed a willingness to work together.

“Well, we’re going to work with the Democrats to make sure things go well for our country. Very important. They’ve already called and they want to work with,” Trump told POLITICO’s Dasha Burns. “[I] have the right to veto everything, but I don’t want to be just sitting there for two years vetoing everything. They want to see things happen, too.”

This is the perfect power transition away from trump because it is dispersed. he was indeed not on the ballot. It would be very different to storm every state house and election authority in the USA.

t will be easier to edge him on out, when the time comes.

Okay Mish, you win for now; you were right.

What happens now? Americans may have a lot of decadent ideas but a lot of them seem to have a reasonable understanding of what real socialism means: hardship and even famine. Will enough Democrats side with Trump to stave that off?

What happens now?

Lol. That’s easy just ask the British Empire, Spanish Empire, Roman Empire, etc. The democant’s aren’t going to fix the demographic death spiral, the $40 trillion in debt, the collapse of social programs, inflation, nor anything else anymore than repubs fixed.

What happens now is the decay and misery will accelerate. I expect violence and crime to explode as the screws tighten around most families. I expect murder-suicides to explode, mass shootings from any combination of racists/bigots, religious terrorists, and nation-state actors seeking to undermine the USA.

I expect seniors on fixed income to go hungry and be found dead days/weeks/months after they expire as inflation explodes.

Won’t be surprised if we’re in a Great Depression by 2030 or WWIII apocalypse.

As an added bonus, all those countries Trump was raping and pillaging will come back to haunt America in the upcoming years. Whether that’s cartel drug violence, caravans of millions of people and/or mass migration from other areas: Africa, India, China, etc.

All there is now is a good exit strategy to ride out the storm. I hope things improve by 2036 but I’m planning for a lost decade 2026-2036.

Then again, I could be wrong and dems usher in an era of rainbows and unicorns while singing kumbaya at the park. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Republicans really lost the young male voters as a demographic. Voting the economy, their wallets and lack of jobs. Republicans as a party let in to many foreigners on various programs over the last few years despite ICE efforts so jobs have been a net zero for young American men. So will things get better or worse for them over the next two years?

Trump has nothing to offer remaining Republicans and no power over them as his endorsements are the kiss of death. Pariah is a better term for Trump than lame duck.

There is no reason to protect the man that destroyed the Rapeublican party.

Do not be surprised if an impeachment leads to a conviction in the Senate. I do not believe that the Democrats should engage in bipartisan politics. Put the nails in this pricks political coffin and sent it to the crematorium.

If they hold on in Alaska and Mississippi, that would give 56 seats. Assume Fetterman does his braindead Fetterman act and defects, they would have to have 12 Republican votes to convict Trump. Currently it is pointless. They can calmly investigate Trump and hi criminal associates in committees. That will be sufficient.

Deep down I’m both glad and worried.
Glad that the people rejected, decisively, over the last 5 years:
— High gas prices (a psychological limit of $4/gallon?)
— High grocery prices
— Covid bullshit
— Financing or participating in foreign wars
— Gaslighting on all of the above
…and worried that the Democrats did not get the actual message, that this was not an approval vote, but a rejection/protest vote. Just like Trump, they too think that they were elected for their looks.

New generations come in… back in the 60s through the 80s, a common theme in Europe was Scandinavian teenagers with backpacks travelling mostly by hitch-hiking all the way to Greece and Italy, with no concerns in mind. That’s a level of safety young Europeans are not aware of. They think today’s situation is “the norm”. Similarly, modern Americans think that more than half of your income in taxes (if we add property/local taxes), is “the norm”. That’s what makes things worse: we never ask the old people to tell us, we lose key reference points.

There are very few American taxpayers, virtually zero %, who pay 1/2 of their income in federal, state and local taxes. It’s just another myth perpetrated by billionaires who want to keep their effective tax rate at around 20%.

It’s not too far off… not hard to get to 40% on your income alone in a high tax state. Add sales and property tax and you can easily get to half, and not even be doing that well. Inflation pushes us into higher tax brackets.

Lefteris

Not a myth… here in Cook county, it’s the norm for people to pay over 6-7 thousand in property taxes for very moderate homes. Add the income taxes (Federal, State), the sales tax on every transaction, and that’s well over 50% of the average income for our area.

I have only voted once in the US, just for the experience (it’s always raining that day, can’t leave the office, long lines, no parking, or I’m exhausted). I had to vote all the time in Greece (mandatory). And since I was in insurance, I participated in the local elections (non-mandatory) for social connections. Greece is a country where you hear and see all political scandals right in front of you, before any journalist writes anything. Three of the national politicians were drinking in bars of my area, two blocks from my home. Bars in Crete are far more classy than bars in America (and cheaper too), and since it’s culturally mandatory to go out every single night, you can guess that some of us become very savvy in the local politics.
It’s the opposite in the USA, everything is so far away, so Americans have decided that their Real Politics Lighthouse is PRICES. Gas prices, grocery prices, house prices. All current political courses by both parties are set to increase these prices. Republicans for insisting on the Iran war, Democrats on insisting on very high energy prices for green deals etc. There’s no hope for long term affordability (other than occasional relief from time to time).

Excellente on your ten reasons, Mish! I totally agree. I am a moderate conservative, but I will never vote for somebody who I consider mentally ill along with obviously being extremely corrupt. And as expected, Trump being the “narcissist” that he truly is, has stated more than once that the political loss of both the House and the Senate is not in anyway his fault; it’s everybody else’s fault. This is sometimes referred to as gaslighting, but it’s one of the true signs of a highly narcissistic individual. Paranoia is another one, and he’s got plenty of that. And yes, I do have a background in the “Behavioral Sciences.” Way to go on your predictions, Mish! GOOD JOB!!!

The only chance of this being a genuinely transformative election, would be if the Democratic Party elects new leadership. Schumer and Jeffries are bought and paid for by big money special interests, particularly AIPAC. They see their role as service to oligarchs; suffocating any progressive tendencies in the crib.

Trump psychology continues its intrigue. He did not, as so many assumed, contest the election or say it was stolen. He claimed that if he were on the ballot, he would have won, and that the problem was poor Republican candidates. Of course, he is fully responsible for the poor candidates as well as the anti-Trump sentiment that created the Blue Tsunami.

Now we sit back and wait to see how this result will translate into policy. There will be Congressional hearings, dragging Trump administration officials in front of the cameras to account for what they have done. Unfortunately, I don’t see any major changes in the war on Iran coming.

Lots of questions now. I think Hegseth will be gone before we change the calendar to 2027, but who will take his place? Will the Epstein files be released? How many Republican politicians will now openly challenge Trump? Will the MIC be successful in starting more wars? What will become of AIPAC?

It will be an interesting two years.

How many people do the research to find a politician’s financing from AIPAC? Many of these politicians have been funded by AIPAC for years or even decades with cumulative amounts over several million dollars. Even anti-Israel politicians tread lightly around the subject. Now that it has become somewhat safer to do so, the pro-Israel funding will become more hidden.

In 2028, there will be 19 Republican senators whose terms will be expiring, and of course all of the approximate 180 Republican members in the House will have terms expiring. It will be interesting to see if there are any early signs that these individuals are deciding that their futures would be better if they were not closely aligned with Trump. Let’s assume the Senate ends up as 55 Democrats + independents. So 12 Republicans would have to cross over for a veto override. 12 out of 19 is a very high percentage. In the House, lets go with 255 Democrats + independents. So there would need to be 35 Republican crossovers out of 180 Republican members for an override. This actually seems a more achievable prospect. (In both chambers, Republicans could also choose to be absent or vote “present” to reduce the number needed to reach a 2/3 majority, but this would require even greater numbers.) Most likely scenario to me is gridlock.

All GOP candidates henceforth: “I always hated Trump. I’ve always worked against him. Hell, I’ve never even heard of him. Trump who?”

I would love to see them turn on that pig, en masse, and throw him under the bus before he throws them.

The loss was sufficiently comprehensive and in so many elections on so many levels, that claiming “Canadian election meddling” or whatever would have been absurd.

Oh come on, we would now all have plush factory jobs paying huge bucks, if not for the sniveling backstabbers Trump himself put in SCOTUS.
