Top 10 Reasons Republicans Lost the Midterms through Trump’s Eyes

I compiled this list as a spoof over the course of the last month. How’d I do?

Top 10 Reasons Republicans Lost

  • 10: The radical Left ruined my beautiful reflecting pool
  • 9: Communists took my name off the Kennedy center
  • 8: If only my grand ballroom, Arch and golf course were completed.
  • 7: They did not give me the Nobel Peace Prize for stopping eight wars
  • 6: Supreme Court justices Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch are traitors
  • 5: Media communist liars and their fake polls, especially Fox News, caused Republicans to stay home.
  • 4: Senator Thune held up the SAVE Act.
  • 3: RINOs Running Wild. Governor Abbott is now a RINO too.
  • 2. Nobody appreciated Husted’s ass as much as I did.
  • 1. I wasn’t on the Ballot

This morning, I added Abbott to my RINO point, otherwise everything was on my list.

Not On the Ballot

Truth Social: I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Greg Abbott

Truth Social: If Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, hadn’t become a RINO in the last six months of his Political Life, he wouldn’t have lost. He went back to his original formula, and it wasn’t pretty! President DONALD J. TRUMP

On Fox News

Truth Social: Fox News Ratings are way down (27%!) because they’re spending too much time covering the Trump Deranged Dumocrats! All of those people who used to watch Fox, and no longer do, get it. It’s them, not me — My numbers are better than they have ever been. The new CNN Poll stated that “TRUMP” is at 99% among Republicans and, among Republican Presidents, “TRUMP” is at 53%, compared to Ronald Reagan at 18%, and Abraham Lincoln at 8%! Fox knows this, and so does everyone else! Also, why is Fox Corp. spending so much money donating to the Worst of the Worst, including Hakeem Jeffries, Jamie Raskin, Ted Lieu, Pete Aguilar, the California Dumocratic Party, the Dumocratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Dumocratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, the CHC Bold PAC, and the New Dumocrat Coalition Action Fund, among others? No wonder FoxNews Ratings are collapsing, and they’re going to go down a lot further. They’re way down, not because of me, but because they are AGAINST me! This happened once before, and Fox almost collapsed. It’s happening again! President DONALD J. TRUMP

More on Fox News

Truth Social: Why does FoxNews have Bill de Blasio, the Worst Mayor in the History of New York City, on air, ranting and raving like a Lunatic? He left the City in disgrace, and the damage he caused was incalculable — It has never been the same, and now he’s telling us how to run America. FoxNews bears responsibility for these losses by constantly and consistently putting on the Dumocrat opposition, and worse. GOD BLESS AMERICA! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Gee I Can Hardly Wait

Truth Social: I’m going to become a Political Pundit, both good and bad, on the reasons these Candidates won and lost! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Why did Trump voters defect? JD himself wrote:

” … Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday …. … He asked … voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:

1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel ….”

Looking ahead, if the current projected 258/177 elected house ratio holds (beyond a tsunami, that’s a dinosaur ending asteroid event) there will be an 18/12 ratio on house committees (with the exception of the rules and ethics’ committees): some serious Mr. Clean sanitizing is coming …

If Trump voters had just taken Trump’s mRNA vaccine, they wouldn’t died like flies of COVID-19 and they would have won last night.

Picture Clarence Thomas’s and Samuel Alito’s answering machines on fire. It’s a dilemma though, because they might be deciding Trump’s legal fate, and they are known quantities, doing absolutely anything he wants. Naming new young justices with their own future would be a crapshoot.

Anyone old enough to remember Bob Dole pointing out “Democrat wars” (referring to WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam) during the 1976 election?

Long before that, when it was suggested to him he should run for office they asked what party he was, and he answered he was a Democrat, and they told him he could not win in Kansas as a Democrat, and he said well, then I guess I’m a Republican.

I know you are all sick of me saying this, but since we can now move on to watching the next set of delusions brought to you by the other side, I will say it one last time.

Trump is an ignorant deluded moron. There’s no need to analyze his every move, he’s just a narcissistic fool that a bunch of dopes found appealing for a while. Finally enough woke up and here we are. Same as it ever was

Even 90% of the posters on the Trump sycophantic site FreeRepublic have turned on him. Any politician/pundit that is popular on that site will inevitably turn out to be a turkey. Bush, McCain, Graham, Bolton, Ben Shapiro, Pence and now Trump. Even Reagan has been found to have feet of clay. The list goes on. A perfect contrarian indicator.

I got banned from the site when I criticized Bush Jr.’s war on Iraq.

Currently, they like Rubio and DeSantis.

Everybody in the world screwed up but Trump. The last thing this whinging, blaming narcissy will ever do is just shut up for one minute.

Aaron Rodgers after the 2020 election, on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast:

“You take it like a man. You don’t go, ‘We won that game.’ That’s what Donald Trump does. ‘We won that game.’ You didn’t. You lost it. It happens. You lose sometimes. Be a f-king man and just own up like every other president has ever done ….”

Deep down I’m both glad and worried.
Glad that the people rejected, decisively, over the last 5 years:
— High gas prices (a psychological limit of $4/gallon?)
— High grocery prices
— Covid bullshit
— Financing or participating in foreign wars
— Gaslighting on all of the above
…and worried that the Democrats did not get the actual message, that this was not an approval vote, but a rejection/protest vote. Just like Trump, they too think that they were elected for their looks.

If it results in gridlock, I could live with that. What I fear is that Trump will cut deals with the democrats on amnesty, gun laws, restoring AID, tax increases etc.

Excellente on your ten reasons, Mish! I totally agree. I am a moderate conservative, but I will never vote for somebody who I consider mentally ill along with obviously being extremely corrupt. And as expected, Trump being the “narcissist” that he truly is, has stated more than once that the political loss of both the House and the Senate is not in anyway his fault; it’s everybody else’s fault. This is sometimes referred to as gaslighting, but it’s one of the true signs of a highly narcissistic individual. Paranoia is another one, and he’s got plenty of that. And yes, I do have a background in the “Behavioral Sciences.” Way to go on your predictions, Mish! GOOD JOB!!!

The only chance of this being a genuinely transformative election, would be if the Democratic Party elects new leadership. Schumer and Jeffries are bought and paid for by big money special interests, particularly AIPAC. They see their role as service to oligarchs; suffocating any progressive tendencies in the crib.

Regarding Minnesota, races can’t be called until Hennepin County results are posted. Hennepin holds all results until they are ready to dump all at once. From the news this morning, Hennepin’s results were later than normal (which is why Republicans had hope for longer than normal).

I was a little worried when Flanagan was behind in the beginning, but then I saw that Klobuchar also looked to be behind – and I knew Klobuchar would win handily – so I figured Flanagan had it wrapped up. I’m a little surprised Klobuchar only won the governorship by 13 points. Never liked her as a senator – best buds with McCain and Graham.

I predict that Trump will throw MAGA under the bus and do a reach around to the democrats. People forget that Trump called Pat Buchanan a bigot before stealing Buchanan’s views (except for Israel, of course). Trump has no core convictions except Trump.

Trump psychology continues its intrigue. He did not, as so many assumed, contest the election or say it was stolen. He claimed that if he were on the ballot, he would have won, and that the problem was poor Republican candidates. Of course, he is fully responsible for the poor candidates as well as the anti-Trump sentiment that created the Blue Tsunami.

Now we sit back and wait to see how this result will translate into policy. There will be Congressional hearings, dragging Trump administration officials in front of the cameras to account for what they have done. Unfortunately, I don’t see any major changes in the war on Iran coming.

Lots of questions now. I think Hegseth will be gone before we change the calendar to 2027, but who will take his place? Will the Epstein files be released? How many Republican politicians will now openly challenge Trump? Will the MIC be successful in starting more wars? What will become of AIPAC?

It will be an interesting two years.

Enough AIPAC democrats got elected/reelected yesterday that its power remains although it will be more discrete. Look at who actually gets named to chair the important committees.

The supposed cutting off of aid to Israel that Trump mentioned the other day means no one will have to go on record as voting for it because they already gave Israel a direct pipeline into the Pentagon.

Did they get elected because of AIPAC or despite it? I think being visibly connected to aipac is now a net negative. That’s why aipac is going stealthy. They can’t be stealthy enough, though.

I think the American public signaled that Trump and Bibi overplayed their hands. These recent times were over the top even by their standards.
Their distorted egos drove the process form the top, but as with WW2, it is too simple to just scapegoat a couple of people and ignore the vast cheering section. .

How many people do the research to find a politician’s financing from AIPAC? Many of these politicians have been funded by AIPAC for years or even decades with cumulative amounts over several million dollars. Even anti-Israel politicians tread lightly around the subject. Now that it has become somewhat safer to do so, the pro-Israel funding will become more hidden.

“How many Republican politicians will now openly challenge Trump?” will be key.

In 2028, there will be 19 Republican senators whose terms will be expiring, and of course all of the approximate 180 Republican members in the House will have terms expiring. It will be interesting to see if there are any early signs that these individuals are deciding that their futures would be better if they were not closely aligned with Trump. Let’s assume the Senate ends up as 55 Democrats + independents. So 12 Republicans would have to cross over for a veto override. 12 out of 19 is a very high percentage. In the House, lets go with 255 Democrats + independents. So there would need to be 35 Republican crossovers out of 180 Republican members for an override. This actually seems a more achievable prospect. (In both chambers, Republicans could also choose to be absent or vote “present” to reduce the number needed to reach a 2/3 majority, but this would require even greater numbers.) Most likely scenario to me is gridlock.
