After Trump Threatened Apple, His Sons Announce a Made-in-America Phone

Trump Mobile and a $499 “Glued-in-America” phone is coming in August.

‘U.S. Built’ Phone Coming

Please note Trump Sons to Launch Trump Mobile and ‘U.S. Built’ Phone

The Trump Organization said it will launch a mobile-phone service called Trump Mobile and plans to offer a U.S.-built smartphone later this summer, looking to take on the likes of Apple and Samsung.

President Trump has targeted phone makers in his tariff push, threatening extra levies on Apple if it didn’t shift to domestic production. No major smartphone manufacturer currently makes its products in the U.S., as the displays, processors and cameras they use are mainly sourced from Asia. America doesn’t have advanced manufacturing facilities akin to those in China or even India and Vietnam, where electronics assembly has expanded in recent years, nor does it have a mass of skilled laborers trained to do the required work.

The Trump Organization said the mobile service would work with all three major wireless carriers. It would rely on resale deals, known as mobile virtual network operator agreements, in which the carriers sell excess capacity on its networks and gain customers without having to bear the costs of marketing to them or signing them up.

The Trump Organization said customers would be able to use the new service using their existing phones, or purchase its T1 Phone beginning in August. They described it as a “sleek, gold smartphone” designed and built in the U.S.

The company said that the new Android phone would cost $499 and that it has a website available for preorders. The site details specifications for the device but doesn’t disclose the manufacturer. The company said the wireless service’s core “47 Plan” would be available for $47.45 a month.

The mobile venture would be overseen by Trump’s sons, who announced the launch at Trump Tower on Monday. Eric and Donald Jr. run the family business, which has expanded beyond real estate and golf courses into new areas, such as cryptocurrencies.

The president has said he isn’t involved in the family business’s day-to-day operations. The administration has strong influence over the heavily regulated telecom industry. Trump’s head of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, has told operators including T-Mobile and Verizon to curb their diversity, equity and inclusion policies if they want their pending mergers to pass agency review.

DTTM Operations, the entity that manages Donald Trump’s trademarks, made filings last week indicating that he intends to use the trademarks “TRUMP” and “T1” for a mobile phone and wireless service. Intellectual-property lawyer Josh Gerben earlier reported the trademark filings.

AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Hey, why not?

Crypto Tenacles

After peddling crypto, Trump Disclosure Shows $57 Million in Earnings From Early Crypto Push.

President Trump earned around $57 million from his stake in a family-backed cryptocurrency firm last year, according to a new financial disclosure form, showing the early returns on a burgeoning digital-asset empire.

Trump’s annual financial disclosure, released by the Office of Government Ethics, reveals his vast and varied income streams and holdings, covering everything from golf resorts to merchandising deals to stock investments in such companies as Apple and Berkshire Hathaway.

In a matter of months, the Trump family has reached into nearly every corner of the crypto industry. World Liberty Financial, which was started in September, launched this year a dollar-pegged stablecoin, a digital currency meant to store cash or buy other crypto tokens. It has a 1:1 exchange ratio with a government-issued currency.

The family struck a deal in March to launch a bitcoin-mining company called American Bitcoin, raised more than $2 billion to buy bitcoin with its social-media company and launched memecoins. Last month the president hosted a dinner for the 220 biggest holders of the $TRUMP coin.

Trump earned $1.3 million in royalties from the Greenwood Bible, which sold a Trump-branded “God Bless the USA Bible” with the country-music singer Lee Greenwood. The president earned $2.5 million from Trump-branded sneakers and fragrances, another $2.8 million from watches and about $1 million from a Trump-branded guitar.

Those products aren’t made by the Trump Organization, the Trump family’s flagship real-estate firm; rather, Trump licenses his name to companies that manufacture and ship the items.

Disgusting Endeavors

Trump personally hosting a dinner for the 220 biggest holders of the $TRUMP coin may be the sleaziest thing he has ever done.

I cannot begin to imagine the outrage if any Democrat had done similar things.

Despite the disgusting and obvious sleaze, I wish Trump well with his $499 Glued-in-America phone with parts mostly from China and the manufacturer unknown.

For comparison purposes, please note that less than 5% of iPhone components are currently made in the US. While Apple has shifted some production to other countries like India and Vietnam, the majority of iPhone manufacturing, including assembly, still takes place in China and other parts of Asia.

The glass casing, Face ID lasers, and certain chips (including the processor and 5G modem) are made in the US, according to the Financial Times.

In case you missed it, you can even use your assembled-in-China phone for the “Made-in-America” service.

This is laughable.

P.T. Bernum would be totally enamored of the marketing frauds of the Trump circus.

This is also not laughable.

If you carry a mobile phone, you can be targeted by anyone in authority that considers you to be a threat to their race, ideology, religion or political affiliation.

A drone can be released with a seek signal to track you down and kill you. It has been happening for some time now in Gaza and on a daily basis in Iran. The drone companies have to be some of the fastest growing companies out there as millions of drones can kill millions of people. Entire nations can be denuded of human life with local delivery and the flick of a deployment switch.

All targeting is enabled by our being tethered to our cell phones ~ which are always listening…

Of course Trump wants a cell phone company!

I think what they are doing along with many others is trying to create a parallel economy where MAGA and conservatives can stop buying products and services from the left or from people who do not support the America First agenda and instead support each other. Here’s some information about the parallel economy for those that were not aware of it.

———————————————————-

The Trump Phone and the Parallel Economy

The newly announced Trump Phone isn’t just a smartphone—it’s a symbol. While most of its parts are currently sourced from overseas, there are long-term plans to shift more production to the United States. The Trump Organization has expressed a desire to eventually manufacture key components domestically, but the infrastructure to do so will take time to build.

For now, the real power of the Trump Phone lies in its role within the growing conservative parallel economy. It represents an effort to support businesses that reflect traditional values, national sovereignty, and consumer choice outside the influence of globalist or progressive corporate agendas.

The parallel economy is about more than just boycotts. It’s about building—creating new systems of commerce, media, finance, and technology that serve people who feel alienated by mainstream institutions. From conservative-friendly shopping platforms to alternative social media and investment networks, this movement is focused on long-term independence and resilience.

For many conservatives, the Trump Phone is a step toward economic self-determination—a way to support American jobs, align purchases with personal values, and participate in an ecosystem that reflects their beliefs.

In a world where ideology increasingly shapes commerce, the parallel economy isn’t just important. It’s essential.

For those that might be interested in this, aside from Phil, here is an example of a parallel economy platform that offers shopping similar to shopping on Amazon.

https://www.publicsquare.com/

PublicSquare is a technology-enabled marketplace and payments ecosystem serving consumers and merchants who value life, family, and liberty. PublicSquare operates three divisions: Marketplace, Financial Technology, and Brands. The mission of the Marketplace is to help consumers “shop their values” and put purpose behind their purchases. PublicSquare leverages data and insights from the Marketplace to assess its customers’ needs and provide wholly-owned quality financial products and brands. PublicSquare’s Financial Technology division comprises Credova, a consumer financing company, and PSQ Payments, a “cancel-proof” payments company. PublicSquare’s Brands division comprises EveryLife, a premium D2C life-affirming baby products company.

Nicely written Ann, and I agree that the Phone is a symbol. Much like a Beer Commercial, sending a totally different character in regards to whom their “Target Audience” was and still is, but many have moved on to a better trusted source. That symbol failed horribly, but not the product itself, but rather How the symbol was being delivered.

Let’s say the Trump 2 Children involved in this endeavor, create a few Hundred good paying jobs for Americans? Most would be thrilled and that would be because of the Symbol, that we can make them here in America, for good paying American Jobs!
Most would love to hear “American Made” commercials for Cell Phones, and many, many other items. Just seeing the Label say “American Made” instead of “Made in China” or wherever, would be enough to push a product over the top of its competitors providing it works roughly the same, and cost roughly the same.

Love This Ann: “For many conservatives, the Trump Phone is a step toward economic self-determination—a way to support American jobs, align purchases with personal values, and participate in an ecosystem that reflects their beliefs.”

>> We have crap thrown at us, shoved down are throats, shot in our veins, and throughout our Food that we consume, and it’s ALL Mostly About Profit, and not at all about the Consumer and there Families. We don’t even have a choice for the most part IMO. Let’s see this phone take off, and set an example for independent Decisions on what we “Choose To Consume” I will happily pay more for that as well!!

BINGO Ann!!! “In a world where ideology increasingly shapes commerce, the parallel economy isn’t just important. It’s essential.” Spot On!!

The on-shoring of US manufacturing will have little effect until AI has eliminated a sufficient number of jobs. When the desperately unemployed become willing to accept lower wages and a lower standard of living “Made in America” might work. Until then keep your head comfortably buried in the sand and dream on.

Trump, his administration and their cronies are actively defrauding us Americans by grabbing lucrative government contracts for themselves, extorting American companies into shady deals that enrich his family business, and encouraging illegal bribes from foreign countries. They have already annexed billions of dollars that were allocated to benefit and safeguard our communities, our families and ourselves. We must enlist and support any organization or group of citizens with the standing to sue the current administration for their brazen racketeering under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

Now that Trump is backpedaling on “illegals” he may as well make money selling them government approved and endorsed Trump phones. Those farm hands, hotel maids and restaurant crews all need phones why not get one from Trump?

Just wait and watch Trump announce a free Trump phone to every incoming immigrant courtesy of the US taxpayer.

I kept seeing TV commercials from Noem asking immigrants to register on the mobile app and couldn’t figure out why but it was all a gateway to sell phones. It all makes sense now. The circle is complete.

Why the constant bogeyman/strawman drivel?

Nowhere in the article do I see that they are government-approved and endorsed. His hotels aren’t labeled as government-approved and endorsed? Government contracts don’t require exclusive use of Trump properties if they exist in areas of government travel, right?

These phones would have to operate on SIMs that the carriers allow on their network–notice they refrained from comment. They don’t give a rip who uses their network as long as they pay the rate with which they’ve conrtacted and follow their terms of use. And you can bet if this has been announced that they’ve been working a lot longer than a few months to nail down contracts, annual commitments, roaming agreements, interoperability, etc.

Love the “just wait and watch” comments too…i mean i could easily say “wait and watch, they’ll be walled-gardened off to only access Trump Social-approved stories.” Equally fantastic and preposterous. He’s not giving illegal immigrants a Trump phone. Knowing him, he’d laugh at the consideration but your merely saying it is, well, silly.

Then you follow with the “mobile app” nonsense comment. The apps would be delivered via the Play Store or the iTunes App Store. Ain’t no way they have their own mobile operating system which is why Mish crafted it as a “glued in America” and they sure as hell ain’t gonna have an app ecosystem ready. Truth Social is on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. No matter how you say “it all makes sense now” and the cirle is complete” you can’t make your claim, intent or otherwise.

Why not stay on the easily arguable and defensible path that his family is abusing his Presidency for enrichment and leave it up to the dear readers to decide if Trump, the company run by his sons, is taking advantage of dad’s position. That is an easy-to-defend argument. Instead you just dive down into your DAILY anti-Trump narrative and hyperbole. I mean other than them transparently delivering a product the consumer can purchase one could argue that it’s dangerously close to the right’s claim of the Biden’ family enrichment–though vastly different, it rhymes. One was simply paid for access, paid for non experience, paid by enemy states that could involve us in problematic trade or military conflicts which the public cannot see….this is in-your-face capitalism that doesn’t compromise the nation politically. Still…the enrichment angle is there. See, wasn’t hard.

I read ya and give ya thumbs up when you are making a reasoned argument, trust me. When ya mention the turtles I’m always laughing at the imagery. The targeting of Trump supporters as a cult, which is easily as true for the lockstep democrats as the lock step MAGA supporters, invalidates the rest of what you say, which is often good.

But to give you some color, the Trump family, Don Jr in particular has already announced they plan on running for office down the road. You need to think long term about where the graft just isn’t happening today but where it will be happening 5 and 10 years from now.

Most of the higher-tech components are either made in China by South Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese companies or withing those countries themselves so they could have a deal with them to supply the parts and assemble them in India or whatever. Other than that it is a marketing ploy to use the Trump name. I doubt it will go far. It could be a proof-of-concept product if they decide to assemble it in the US and then sell them at a reasonable price, quality and make a profit. I say let them do it and we will see. If it becomes a best-seller then it would be a conflict of interest problem. For the moment no.

Why can’t we have a cell phone company, build there products here and by Americans? Is that not possible? Cost can be dealt with in far more ways than simply price. I see no reason why it can’t be done, just not right away, but eventually. You have to start someplace, and cell phones is as great a place to start, as any other…
