Biden Proposes Paying Illegals Impacted by Trump’s Zero-Tolerance Policy $450,000 Per Person

Please note U.S. in Talks to Pay Hundreds of Millions to Families Separated at Border.

The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.

The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift, the people familiar with the matter said. Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances, the people said

Apart from talks over damages, the administration has already begun a process of locating deported parents and reuniting them with their children in the U.S. The administration has reunited 52 families and is in the process of reuniting about 200 more. The families are being given a three-year grant of parole, a form of temporary humanitarian protection that allows them to live and work legally in the U.S. but doesn’t offer them a path to permanent legal status.

What the Hell?

Separating kids from their parents was absolutely wrong. But so was everything else including the illegal crossing.

The amount seems ridiculous and will no doubt encourage more illegal crossings.

This is yet another Biden “What the Hell?” moment and I am sure the public will not support the proposed amounts.

Might I suggest $25,000 and a green card?

$450,000 seems more appropriate for idiotic drone policy mistakes in which we kill the wrong persons and innocent kids.

“Any organism that cannot distinguish between itself and foreign matter dies within hours.” Yes, and any organism that cannot recognize conspecifics will die. Flash: emigrants are our conspecifics, human beings. To separate children and parents as a tactic to deter unlawful immigration is to have an autoimmune disorder … perverse like destroying the village to save the village.

No. The restitution to migrants is akin to damages due to a burglar by a homeowner who apprehends, detains and tortures the burglar. Your analogy posits compensation based on negligence or strict liability.  The compensation due to the migrants is based on intentional, malicious, despicable acts.

Trying to figure out the logic of having a pot of gold across the border, I just assume this is part of flooding the US with cheap labor. Also the global forces that be want to create a weakened US State. The US hegemony is over and money is pouring in around the world to destroy the country from the inside out.
-funding the worst politicians to ruin the government
-flooding the state with illegal aliens to ruin the national cohesion
-installing corporate babysitters in all federal government positions to bankrupt the country
-printing free money so corporations can snap up land and assets for cheap with fake US dollars
Enjoy your lives now. It’s over folks

Your child gets in trouble.  When he is about to be punished he says “johnny down the street did not get in trouble for doing the same thing”.   Your reply as a parent probably would be “ you don’t worry about Johnny’s actions you worry about your own”.

I wish we would all take a step back and hold our politicians responsible ( whichever party you aline with).  Treat them like you would treat your child and not let them blame others for their bad behavior.

As long as people are happy with their blue vs red “team sports” mentality and get to scream and sling poo at each other for whatever arbitrary, unimportant differences of opinion they hold then the divide and conquer strategy keeps working.
Liberals and Conservatives: on one end are people that love stroking their own egos about how ‘rational’, ‘intelligent’ and ‘educated’ they are whereas on the other are the people that stroke their own egos about whatever ‘righteous’ religious justification they can find in their special book.
The funniest part is that much of these problems would be solved if each side just agreed to not try to impose their will on the other and treated each other with respect.

Throughout the US authorities separate parents from their kids ALL THE TIME. If Pa commits a crime he goes to prison, without his kids. If Ma and Pa commit a crime they both go to prison without their kids. If Ma and Pa do anything the authorities don’t approve of, such as allowing their kids to play outside unsupervised, or walk to school, or (coming soon!) not get vaccinated, the kids get taken away.

As ridiculous as this is. I blame congress.  Both parties use immigration to motivate their base when the other is in power.   But neither party will change the laws to actually solve the problem.
How about this. To file for asylum or whatever you have to apply at the us embassy  in your country of origin.

That is the law, almost. Asylum seekers must file in the first ‘safe’ country they come to.
A few simple legal solutions:
An illegal immigrant will NEVER get citizenship.
An illegal immigrant, if caught, will be returned to the home country, less all possessions not brought into the country at the time of illegal entry. There is no statute of limitations.
An illegal immigrant can leave the country voluntarily and apply for legal entry (along with other people wanting to migrate).

If we are a “nation of laws” then shouldn’t you respect the Constitution and Article One Section Eight which gives the power of the purse to Congress and not the president? There is no special national emergency powers in Article II that allows the POTUS to reappropriate funds under the guise of a national emergency.

Trump’s policy clearly ignored Constitutional law. Oh well, when the Democrats follow Trump and begin confiscating private property and ignoring the power of the purse to take funds away from the immigration budget to push a green energy national emergency and we end up with our land taken for windmills and other green energy infrastructure under the guise of a national emergency, then I bet suddenly you really do become conscerned about the rule of law.

But please don’t use the rule of law and Trump in the same sentence and expect to be taken seriously unless you can show me these special national emergency powers in Article II. Sketchy clearly explains the methods Trump got funding for his fence.

As I understand it, Trump followed a perfectly Constitutional law intended to protect the country’s borders. Under Trump, illegal immigrants were apprehended and prosecuted, resulting in them being separated from their children, nothing ‘sketchy’ about it, despite what the media puts out. Obama somewhat followed the law, and Biden not at all–illegals are not charged with any offense.
This is no different to the media claiming Trump put kids in cages–it aroused negative public opinion.

When I heard about this my first thought was, this really sounds like another ploy to get more illegals to  come to America. 450,000  dollars is a huge amount for most American families, this is winning the Lottery for a 3rd world family. There is no doubt the Democrats are doing everything they can to encourage illegal immigration.  This fits in 100% with the Globalists open borders policy. Their plan is no more borders, no more nations and no more freedoms. The Far Left Democrats are pushing this agenda with their cancel culture, open borders, critical race theory etc.
As a Canadian it’s very obvious to see what their agenda is, they want to transform America and it’s clearly rooted in a Marxist/Communist ideology. The Conservatives are trying to push back but they don’t control the Media (News, hollywood, Social Media) so they have little influence. The classic Liberals need to start pushing back but most of them have been cowered into silence. At this rate America will transform but you will not like the results.

Trump’s administration followed pre-established rules (decades old) regarding separation of children. ‘The rules state that children are separated from their parents if they
are an adult who is pretending to be the kid’s parent, if the parent is a
threat to the safety of the child or if the parent is going to be
prosecuted.’
All illegal immigrants should be prosecuted as a matter of following Federal law,

I’m a legal immigrant here in this country. If these illegals get 450K then I think the next time my Visa is up, I should not renew and become illegal and then wait for the inevitable bad treatment when they split me from my daughter (a citizen). At that point I too should be eligible for 450K to top up my retirement account.
Or they could just save time (and more money spent on lawyers/lawsuits) and just send me the 450K now.
I’d suggest the ridiculous payout amount is due to Biden’s dementia but the problem is Trudeau who is in charge in my birth country has already given millions in reparations to a terrorist who personally killed Canadians and Americans just because he got bad treatment when he was a captive. The reality is those in charge don’t care because it’s our money and not theirs being given away.

If they think things are bad now at the border, just wait. You will soon see millions of illegals throwing their kids across the border begging the US Govt to take their kids and not them.

No other place in the world can completely uneducated people, including career criminals, violate laws and get paid for doing so. Not only paid, get paid more money than 90% of Americans have in net worth. Have 10 kids and live in poverty – start heading over. You are now a U.S. millionaire. Go from dirt floors to a life of freedom. You have 4.5 million in the bank, no SSN, no worries and no need for a job.

I would imagine as well that money is tax free. So it is the equivalent of 30-40% more. Welcome to the new ruling class.

At some point the breaking point will be hit where US citizens just says Fu#$it. I would think if this passes it has to be close to that point.

I love how they blame it on “Trump” when it started under Obama – because of rules put in place that actually mandates this happen – it was continued under Trump and then under Biden also.

I am thinking about renouncing US citizenship, heading to Mexico with kids and then crossing illegally. I want my share of the American dream also.

Agree. 450K apiece is ridiculously over the top.
And how about we just stop granting asylum altogether, until such time as wave upon wave of the walking hungry stops, and we get control of our border again?
Make all the people who show up asking to be let in be equal…..we have no obligation to eliminate human rights violations on foreign soil, or to take the exploding populations of our southern neighbors in, just because they’re better at making babies than they re at feeding them. The entire idea of granting political asylum is completely flawed and stupid. It does not serve the interest of American citizens.

I just hope he doesn’t get involved in the 2022 congressional races, and give Biden a majority until 2024. Trump became President with control of both houses.
