Evangelical Pastor Who Mocked Social Distance Rules Dies of Covid19

Please note a Virginia Pastor Who Defiantly Held Church Service Dies of Coronavirus.

In his last known in-person service on March 22, Bishop Gerald O. Glenn got his congregation at Richmond’s New Deliverance Evangelistic Church to stand to prove how many were there despite warnings against gatherings of more than 10 people.

I firmly believe that God is larger than this dreaded virus. You can quote me on that,” he said, repeating it a second time to claps, saying that “people are healed” in his church.

I am essential,” he said of remaining open, adding, “I’m a preacher — I talk to God!

Darwin Award Candidate?

In the spirit of Charles Darwin, the Darwin Awards commemorate individuals who protect our gene pool by making the ultimate sacrifice of their own lives. Darwin Award winners eliminate themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner, thereby improving our species’ chances of long-term survival.

Darwin Award Rules

I suppose one could question whether or not Bishop Glenn person was capable of sound judgement, but I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Unfortunately, however, there are other rules.

“The death of innocent bystanders absolutely rules out a Darwin Award. We don’t applaud those who take others out of the gene pool, even if they share some DNA in common. Injuring bystanders is also frowned upon.”

This fool put his entire church at risk even if no others die. And you can quote me on that.

A lot of self congratulatory intellectual masturbation here over this man’s death.

You’re all going to die, folks. Regardless of your religious, political or sexual affiliations. Yes, I fear death, regardless of my belief in God. I just fear other things more. Otherwise, I would never move out of my house. Then I could be just like most of the posters here.

The man died doing what he believed in. It’s possible he also believed in the First Amendment. And limited government. We know he believed in God. Apparently all things of the past. Because of a virus?

Show a little respect.

Mish. Love your stuff. Been following for years. But, this? Really? You should know better than believe a CNN article. I am a trauma RN (14yrs) in a ‘hotzone’. I can tell you that the numbers are inflated. Please dont exacerbate our problems.

This article is irrelevant because many people (myself included ) consider social distancing wrong and almost everyone who does ( or doesn’t ) won’t die from covid. This guy said something and he was wrong, it happens. You just wrote this article to make yourself feel superior to someone else, I have teenagers, do nothing new.

I’m waiting to see what happens to the 1000+ membership Life Tabernacle church in Louisiana. They keep defying the mandate week after weeks.
‘Hey a tornado is coning. Everyone take shelter?’
‘Ok’
‘Hey, a flood is coming. Everyone go to higher ground.’
‘Ok’
‘Hey, a fire is over taking our town. Run away from the fire.’
‘Ok.’
‘Hey, a pandemic is coming that could make our medical system crack, kill a bunch of people, and effect anyone else who needs emergency care. Shelter in place so you don’t get it or spread it.’
‘You can’t tell me what to do. God will protect me.’

Yes, it your duty to God and Freedom to NOT wear a seat belt. Because a seat belt is simply another chain put on you by the fascist regime of socialist libtards looking to take away your rights and condemn you to eternal damnation. Seriously…wearing a seat belt will not keep you from being projected through your windshield, having your skull shattered, crashing violently onto the road and then being run over by a semi. Nope. Seat belts don’t do that. So, stand up the Man and don’t wear one. Please.

He was a showman. You can check out his many Youtube videos. Listed on their website as pastor/ceo. A large amount of arrogance appears to have been his claim to fame. One of those $2000 suit pastors. Gotta wonder if he was worried about the lost revenue.

Same stupidity everywhere.

Just like that cleric in Iran saying how this virus was caused by Chinese persecution of moslems. He too got the virus.

Then we have the superspreader in India, a Hindu preacher who died contacting the virus, but not before spreading it through his teachings.

Religion does not make people dumb. Not questioning it makes you dumb.

Well, supposedly his hero was an character from a Hollywood movie. That would qualify him for a double award, or what?

Glenn already procreated. That is a disqualification for a Darwin Award.
