A foolish attempt to force Thune on the SAVE Act blew up spectacularly.

Trump Will Eat the Party Alive
Reflections on Murkowski
How to Lose the Senate
I have booked Murkowski as a Republican loss. She will be replaced by a radical Leftist.
Trump put Texas into play by booting Senator John Cornyn.
Ken Paxton may or many not lose, but at a minimum, the GOP will have to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to defend a seat Cornyn would have won easily.
Trump goaded North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis into dropping out. That’s a sure Republican loss.
My current estimate is Democrats take the Senate and House. But at a minimum, Trump will have cost Republicans two Senate seats.
Note that 2 Senate seats plus the House is what’s presently being called a Blue Wave.
Congratulations to the Democrats (No I am not a Democrat)
But I do like to give credit where credit is due.

The Thune attempted political “assassination” was an attempt to kill the “King of the Senate” so the remaining GOP senators would run scared into the arms of Emperor Donald.
But Donald missed. Thune will have vengeance on his mind.
So, not only did Trump mismanage Covid which precipitated a recession and the greatest transfer of wealth upward to the Epstein class, start an unnecessary war with Iran then lose it day one because regime change didn’t occur, he has now created a rift in the GOP Senate that could cause the GOP to lose its majority in the US Senate. As one of the founders of the GOP said, “ A house divided cannot stand.”
Please recall this is not the first time Trump has botched the senatorial campaigns for GOP candidates. In ‘22 Trump lost Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, New Hampshire and Nevada. In ‘ 20 he lost both Georgia US Senate seats.
He wasn’t President in ’22.
He campaigned for some GOP candidates in ‘22 is the point.
LOL someone dislikes your basic fact.
I was trying to think of someone who has thrown so many under a bus and come out on top. I could only think of Stalin, who won more thoroughly and finally (before dying as dictator, in bed) than Trump could ever dream of.
But this country and its institutions are different. I cringe at the arrival of the backlash Trump has earned (and his sycophants will live through, I assume lacking his criminal immunity), because I think it will be excessive and destructive. and politically unhinged too. But the masses have willed this divisiveness and instability into being, and it must play out.
The masses willed it in?
Puh lees
Don’t let Trump, Elon, and the rest off that easy
“The United States is a one-party state but, with typical American extravagance, they have two of them.”
The list of 7 “accomplishments” by Taco sounds like a good starting point for articles of impeachment.
It is just more ass Kissing for the Donald. The South Dakota GOP now has orange lips and are thinking “if we start making noise about wanting to get rid of Thune Trump will love us and support us forever”.
Good luck with that. Thin skinned Trump will support you until you inevitably offend him somehow.
The GOP is now the party of Simps.
I think both the House and the Senate races will be much closer than everyone expects, because the Ds are busy shooting themselves in the ass.
Rather than take a step towards being the party of FDR again, the Ds are doing everything to continue to be the party of BJ Clinton (NAFTA, deregulation etc.) and BH Obama (bankster bailouts etc.)
Team D wants to be corporate imperialist muppets, Team R but with preferred pronouns attached to an email sig
I’m an old computer analyst, now retired and discovered your work as an economic analyst years ago. And all I have to say is: “The world is full of idiots, and fortunately, you’re not one of them.”
Fortunately? Intelligence is just a life sentence in a crowd of stupid people.
the post about Trump eventually doing this to everyone in the GOP is spot on. This is what dictators do over and over. Their mania keeps driving stupider behavior, they demand loyalty even on ever increasing nonsense, their tolerance for any dissent decreases from already low levels. and when they don’t get it they retaliate, there usually win for a bit more, try something even dumber and rinse and repeat, until the dictator has eliminated as traitors those closest to him.
Every time I hear of a Christian trying to shove their religion down the throats of children or the victims of substance abuse I am reminded of why our forefathers wrote the first amendment ~ FIRST!
Separation of church and state is of critical importance to the creation and sustenance of a free nation.
Who does Trump work for?
You have to shove it down the throats of children. Adults aren’t going to start believing that there’s an invisible guy in the sky running things and had to turn into a human and committ sucide in order remove the sins of humanity that he himself put on them. You can make children believe nonsense. Unfortunatley, once they start down that road, you can keep them believing all kinds of nonsense as adults.
100%. Influencing children before they develop any critical thinking skills would be considered abuse on any other topic.
Think of religion as the penis, and everything makes sense.
You put that very well. No religion would survive past the first generation if it didn’t devote a lot of effort to destroying the minds of children.
I don’t suppose you will go with me the next step, and point out that modern education is a religion that has stripped itself of almost everything except the necessity of corrupting children.
Don’t know where you sent your kids to school, but mine came out great. I have a teacher, engineer and doctor. 3 grandkids and more on the way. Their educations were exceptional. But they had parents with high expectations and a lot of patience. Education, like religion, starts as a family experience for children.
Congratulation on your family. Genes probably had something to do with it. You may have had the sophistication to pick a good school, too. I was from a rural area in Australia, and one lesson I learned very early was that nearly all adults lie nearly all the time. I could probably have done better at education if I had had a more sophisticated approach to it. Being lied to and threatened with flogging if I didn’t believe the lies didn’t go down well with me. Individual weaknesses do matter.
Sorry, I shouldn’t have started on personal reminiscences. The important thing is that education does what Christianity used to do, corrupt the young and make them believe stupid things.
I like something in one of Robert Hienlein’s stories; I think it may have been called “The Man Who Fell to Earth.” The hero has been travelling in a circus, and he has learned to distinguish between carnies, the other people with the circus, and marks or suckers, the people who pay to get in the door. It has often struck me that in Christianity, people tend to switch from being marks to being carnies when they become parents, because they find that Christianity, whatever it may be objectively, is very good for confusing their children. More recently, it seems to me, the education system has taken over that role, and confuses the children, whether the parents want it or not.
That, I think, is typical of the degenerate phase of a society: the government takes charge of the children at an early age, and culls and corrupts them according to its own needs.
What did school indoctrinate into your children that did them harm?
Mine learned plenty of life skills and the eldest at 31 is living an even better life than I have enjoyed. It’s all about building things up. Why do you think education is meant to tear things down?
Education, like any religion, is meant to benefit its clergy. Beyond that, different religions tend to serve different purposes: they all involve deception (by definition), but the needs of different societies may be different.
The only book I have ever read that seemed to me to be analytical and non-superstitious was called (from memory) “Cows, Pigs, Wars & Witches,” and was written by an American academic named Marvin Harris. He didn’t mention education, but he discussed how various religions, some large like Hinduism and some small like the religions practised by New Guinea tribes, functioned in their societies. I had an uncle who was a policeman in New Guinea, and I confirmed some of the details with him.
I think education does, in fact, help children in the sense that it turns them into useful cogs in society as it exists. However, in order to do so, it has (like any religion) to damage their critical abilities: there are some things that they must be taught not to think, and not to think about.
A little religion goes a long way. A lot of religion leads to hate / war etc. lot of wars have been fought because my god is better than your god.
Miriam and Benjamin
What makes Peltola a “radical leftist”? I don’t know her well, but Wikipedia describes her as a moderate democrat. So yes, more to the left than trump, but at what stage is someone “radical” left? And would that person truly have a chance for the senate in Alaska?
To everybody else in the world, there is no such thing as a radical left American. Support for machine guns, banning abortion, detention without trial, bankruptcy caused by medical bills…there is a radical right though
i think DSA Dems are radical. they do not believe in borders as a stated position, want reparations that would cost trillions, are for other “equity” programs that are basically a retooling of the idea that the oppressed should take from the opressors and the oppressors are anyone who has more than you (that they got it through hard work, better paying professions etc… is irrelvant) want to severely limit law enforcement etc . .. it’s radical.
OK, and are that Peltola’s positions?
No. She’s for term limits, ending congress making outside money, and protecting Alaskan fisheries. But those things are radical left to libertarians.
So what you’re saying is that the police shouldn’t have to follow any laws, absolutely no apologies are required after we kidnapped all of these people, and we did nothing wrong ever.
I think it really is like I said in my own comment. Any ounce of decency, civility, and respectability is radical marxist leftism. Thank you for helping illustrate that point.
JHarr….better not post anything else on here….I have a strong suspicion your IQ doesn’t;t meet the posing requirement and you are a retarded moron.
Off Topic.
He published his findings on PubPeer. Instead of raising curiosity as to the link between covid injections and cancers, his findings resulted in attacks on his publications and reputation. Imagine that.
He found nearly 70 papers describing over 300 reported cancer cases from 27 countries following covid mRNA vaccine injections, with cancers occurring at the injection sites. “In some reported cases, spike protein was identified within tumour tissue,” he said. “There should be no spike in tumors.”
‘Plausible Mechanisms of covid-19 Injections Causing Cancer and Attacks on Scientific Publication
I believe Mish is fully vaxxed and boosted
I believe that Mish understands the value of vaccines, yes, as he’s usually led by data. If boosting is still a thing than im sure that Mish can make up his own mind on that. Either way it’s not usually that critical, is it?
It’s important to know that ALL vaccines are a risk to SOME people. Scientists know this going in. But a virus can be far, far more risky to a LOT of people. Every year, HUNDREDS of people around the world die from taking a vaccine. But TENS OF MILLIONS would die if of viral infections if they didn’t. And because all of those billions of people are regularly being vaccinated around the world, people who don’t get vaccinated have dramatically less chance of getting an infection and dying themselves. All of this is why President Trump rammed through the mRNA vaccines in the first place. The mRNA vaccines are far less likely to be a danger than dead or weakened virus strains.
You get a Mishelin star for having a great comment.
Just waiting for the day when polio or small pox makes a come back and all those anti-vaxxers go extinct or go cripple.
“He described junk papers with small to no sample sizes that were self published” is a truly devastating blow to big vaccine! According to research I just made up, I think we need to start coughing directly on the elderly to help them get more immune.
It’s honestly not surprising that raising questions about potential links between medical interventions and unexpected cancer patterns would trigger backlash instead of curiosity. The moment someone challenges a dominant narrative — even with data, even with dozens of papers and hundreds of documented cases — the focus too often shifts from the evidence to attacking the researcher. That alone should make people pause.
Finding reported cancers at injection sites, across multiple countries, and even identifying spike protein within tumor tissue is exactly the kind of signal that should prompt deeper investigation, not dismissal. “There should be no spike in tumors” is a reasonable scientific concern, and exploring plausible mechanisms is part of how science is supposed to work.
Whether people agree with his conclusions or not, the fact that legitimate observations were met with reputational attacks instead of open inquiry says a lot about the current scientific climate. At minimum, these findings deserve honest discussion rather than attempts to silence them.
Who in the scientific community were dismissing the research and why?
There are not 100s of documented cases.
I looked at one of the doctors. He has published no research on the subject. He cites his vast experience and nothing except anecdotal evidence. That is fully deserving of a pushback. They have every good statistics and they show no such link. There is no evidence of turbo cancer. There was on paper published that claimed to detect higher rates, and the methodology they used is total crap. You want scientists to take total crap seriously? You seriously want that? With at least 667 million mRNA vaccine injects in 335 million Americans, the statistics would be going cray if the vaccine caused anything. If it caused death, there would be dead people littering the landscape. If caused cancer, there would be tons of evidence. So far, it’s just not there.
Mish what do the words “radical” and “leftist” even mean at this point? Is it radical and leftist when one does their job? Has an ounce of dignity? I’m not exactly seeing any communists running, but I guess at this point Adolf Hitler would also be a “radical leftist” since even that ass faced baboon could count coconuts better than this shambling golem of a GOP.
A radical leftist is someone who wants to use the power of government to improve the lives of regular Americans, instead of using it to funnel tax money to the people who fund election campaigns. They are hated by all patriotic Americans.
Radical Marxists want to see businesses have to compete instead of being state funded monopolies. That’s why China is a communist nation, because they don’t bail out failing companies.
BS, the DSA which is who people mean when they say radical left are talking about isn’t interested in that. they see everything as oppressed and oppressor and the main test for that is skin color.
they say they want a Scandi-style country but that is not how they do it in Scandi– they don’t have race-based eqeity there and everyone benefits from the programs.
Can you find an example of them saying this or are you going to drop some more brown notes on us, pulled directly from your behind.
Who in the DSA see everything as oppressed and oppressor? Or are you just making that up because it’s what you want to believe?
He heard it from emperor Trump who speaks only truths on his social.
“She will be replaced by a radical Leftist.”
And what’s your example of a “radical Leftist”? Hillary Clinton? Kamala Harris? They are as corporate as one can get.
John McCain would be a radical left. Certainly anyone he used to call RINO.
“Radical Leftist” simply means anyone not MAGA.
Mike Pence, Ron Paul, Salvador Allende,George Orwell, Osama Bin Laden, Mish, Ed Snowden, they all meet up for chardonnay and talk revolution and how much they hate the freedom.
“God are you people stupid.”
Yes they are and you just earned a 2-star Mishelin award for calling it as you see it.
I’m going to have to amend my tagline now.
Do worry, Trump, Walrus and the GOP will find a way to make things even worse.™
You just can’t fix this level of stupid with moron republicans, it can’t be done, the wildfire just needs to put itself out like most wildfires do after they burn everything around them.
Great analogy.
And:
#8. Excessively heavy handed immigration enforcement primarily targeting Latinos.
He and the Republicans are gonna pay for these come the midterms…
To be fair, he ran on that promise. That people, including some Latinos voters, were stupid enough to not take this campaign promise seriously is on them.
“I did not vote for this” when your spouse, relative, friends and neighbors are being arbitrarily detained and beaten by armed masked men does not cut it. You just thought he would not come for YOUR immigrant when you vote for him. As if “voting Trump” gave your loved ones a magical “jail free” card. Well, it did not.
Amen to that. You DID vote for that. You just didnt bother to understand what you voted for.
And still 40% approval. Yes he has stopped people from coming to this country. But the human costs, the ugliness, the grift, the corruption. And my response that the Dems did it as bad. NO! Not even close. Trump is designing a family dynasty that will last generations off the backs of all Americans, syphoning funds to companies he and his family invest in. Someone should do an analysis of all the military contracts in the last year to see where Trump or some family member has an interest. Actually pick any department. Good research project. Or the cost per pardon. Why are you supporting someone who is so clearly ripping you off?
DON’T LEAVE OUT TRUMP THOROUGHLY EXPLODING THE DEFICIT. MY GOD, MUSK CUTS OFF MILLIONS OF POOR AROUND THE WORLD – AND TRUMP BURNS MILITARY FUNDS LIKE HE’S GAMBLING AT ONE OF HIS CASINO TABLES.
MY GOD WE NEED TO CUT THE F… OUT OF DEFENSE. AND YET HE’S SPENDING ANOTHER 1/2 $TRILLION AS HE BANKRUPTS US MORE?!?!
INSANE.
God do we need to get rid of Trump!
