Vincent Chan @hivincentc profile says “I teach personal finance & investing on youtube / making the hard, unhard with bad jokes and puns.”

I suggest he be more active on Twitter. He produced an excellent and informative video.

He gets it completely. It’s not a matter of if…..it is a matter of when. And it might not be too long now.

Well, couldn’t I just invest in US currency as a safer currency and skip all the transaction gymnastics?

The video is recently made related to a medium article written 6 months ago.  The accusations have had plenty of time to be tested and so far haven’t held up.   Here is a good argument related to where the claims may have been in error:  https://bitcoinmagazine.com/markets/debunking-misconceptions-from-the-bit-short-inside-cryptos-doomsday-machine

We try to do financial regulation because when people can get away with stealing they will. Most likely if a crash the Central Banks backstop Tether. Which they may have done already to stop the BTC drop to $30k from blowing up Tether. Or shockingly Tether had the reserves to handle the recent 50% BTC price drop? Not to mention the drop with all of the other crypto’s?

I do not know  if usdc will replace tether as the stable coin all this does not matter, the fed printing more money this year along with the yen and euro printing money, crypto is here to stay. Why is Goldman Sach, etc trying to have etf’s in this market Mish?
