Social Justice Warriors
Thanks to George Soros, Larry Krasner was elected District Attorney in Philadelphia. Krasner is Self-Proclaimed Social Justice Warrior.
Consider the case of Michael White, a 22-year-old black college student who admitted killing Sean Schellenger, white. Numerous witnesses and a cellphone video confirmed what happened.
Krasner initially charged White with first-degree murder and denied his request for bail. But under pressure from leaders in Philadelphia’s African-American community, Mr. Krasner downgraded the charge to third-degree murder. Then, days before the trial, Mr. Krasner dropped the murder charge entirely.
White was then acquitted. How’s that for justice?
Please consider Philadelphia’s Top Prosecutor Pursues ‘Social,’ Not Actual, Justice
Mr. Krasner is one of a new crop of “progressive prosecutors” who have won election in liberal cities. They include San Francisco’s Chesa Boudin, who was raised by Weather Underground radicals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn because his own parents were in prison for participating in the murder of police officers. Mr. Krasner was a virulent critic of law enforcement before running to become the city’s top prosecutor. During a 30-year career as a defense lawyer, Mr. Krasner gained notoriety for filing 75 lawsuits against Philadelphia police. In a 2017 campaign video he said “policing and prosecution are both systematically racist,” and he called poverty and crime consequences of “mass incarceration.”
Mr. Krasner’s candidacy was laughed off until George Soros dumped $1.7 million into the campaign. At his primary election night victory party, Mr. Krasner smiled while his supporters chanted, “No good cops in a racist system!” and “f— the FOP!” (the Fraternal Order of Police)
Mockery of Justice
Attorney William McSwain has convincingly argued that Mr. Krasner has created a dangerous “culture of disrespect for law enforcement.”
Radical prosecutors like Mr. Krasner make a mockery of justice. There’s nothing progressive about public servants who shirk their duties, and nothing just about allowing violent criminals to roam free.
Violent Crime in Philadelphia
As you might expect, Violent Crime in Philadelphia is high and on the rise.
Philadelphia consistently ranks above the national average in terms of crime, especially violent offenses. It has the highest violent crime rate of the ten American cities with a population greater than 1 million residents as well as the highest poverty rate among these cities. It has been included in real estate analytics company Neighborhood Scout’s “Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in America” list every year since it has been compiled. Much of the crime is concentrated in the North, West, and Southwest sections of the city.

Illinois Shines
Illinois really shines here. It claims the number 1, number 10, and number 20 murder spots, the latter Alton, IL.
The site shows the top 30. I only listed the top 10.
Danville, Illinois
Danville is my home town.
It is number 7 on the list of most crime ridden cities and number 10 on the murder rate list.
How to Reduce Crime Stats
One way to reduce violent crime is to not convict anyone of anything in the name of “social justice”.
This is the method preferred by George Soros and Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner.
As a side note, these crime stats gave me another reason to share my previous post, Escape Illinois: Get The Hell Out Now, We Are
Mike “Mish” Shedlock

I work in the Philly Real Estate business. I met Sean Schellenger several times and I did attend his funeral.
The one fact that has not been reported in this miscarriage of justice is the Sean’s natural birth mother is in fact an African American woman of light skin which did make Sean, the murder victim, an African American of white skin color. The name Schellenger comes from his mother’s 2nd husband who did adopt Sean, the murder victim. If only this non-PC fact was reported I am sure the outcome of the trial would have been different and the entire City would be demanding the removal of Larry Krasner from office which could be done by the Governor of Commonwealth Pennsylvania just like the Sheriff was removed from office several years ago by the Governor.
Krasner is well known as anti-police Criminal Defense Attorney who was famous for his many lawsuits against the Philadelphia Police Department. All the other attorneys in town thought he was running as a joke. With Soros money he was able to recruit a well known West Philadelphia group of Anarchists (that’s what they call themselves) who organized Krasner’s victory in a 4 way Democratic Primary in the Democrat Machine controlled City of Philadelphia.
This is a disgrace and those of us who know what is going on in this City (including the entire Police Department) are very angry.
The Attorney General of Pennsylvania and the FBI must investigate and bring charges of malfeasance against Krasner just like they are doing to federally indicted serving City Councilman Heenan and the federally indicted Head of the electrical union, Mayor Kenny’s financial backer, political ally and personal friend John “Johnny Doc” Dougherty.
It’s like a bad horror movie and the murder and crime rates are spiking out of control. The only reason property crime stats are not through the roof is because nobody bothers to report these crimes because the Police are not allowed to arrest and DA Krasner with his no bail policy for non-violent crimes will not prosecute. He’s too busy opening Heroin injection sites, fighting to let violent criminals out of jail and working to keep Philadelphia a sanctuary city.
LOL! Crime stats in Philly when we lived there a couple of decades ago were a complete joke. Call the police and the response is “I could fill out a report, but it wouldn’t do any good”. Of course the city is too busy shaking down ordinary citizens anyway. And PA as a state isn’t a nice place in my experience.
If you think it’s bad now, wait until the Snap cards don’t buy as much.
The title is misleading. It should read: How George Soros ALSO corrupted the Philadelphia justice system.
Seems the murder rate is inversely proportional to the amount of visible light reflection off the citizens.
Hey, if you don’t like Soros giving to his favorite SJW candidate, just give a greater amount to your favorite conservative candidate. This is America, stop with the whining.
“If you don’t like Soros buying elections buy them yourself”
Last I checked Soros doesn’t live in Philadelphia and doesn’t suffer the consequences of the high crime rate. He doesn’t get to vote directly. He shouldn’t get to vote indirectly by buying the election.
Specifically because this is post civilized, financialized, progressive America, The Fed and government took the money you could have given, and handed it to Soros, so that he could give it instead. Take from the productive, hand to the connected. It’s America.
That is what the problem is. Not whatever arbitrary fad motivates some random dude named Soros to hand funds the totalitarian state stole for him to whomever for whatever reason at any given time.
Okay, so White went free. You have guns in the US? If the Justice system fails to deliver justice deliver it yourselves.
I like how the one politician was crying recently “innocent until proven guilty is under fire” which clearly proves these jackasses are under an entirely different set of laws.
“Students at St. Louis’ Ashland Elementary School hear gunshots so often, they’ve become nearly numb to it https://twitter.com/stlpublicradio/status/1215695559861985283
I lived in Philadelphia and heard the shots a couple of blocks away when a cop was killed. I’m pretty sure I saw the accomplice before the shooting when I was walking to the subway to escort my soon to be wife home.
Terrible event. The police were staking out an ATM that was being robbed. The criminals carjacked a guy at gunpoint and planned to steal his car, but he had a stick and they couldn’t drive a stick, so one of them took him to the ATM to rob him. Police approached and the first shot or 2 killed a policeman, then bang bang bang bang bang. That’s what I heard. Then all hell broke loose and as we were walking home past the nearby police station we were almost run over by a police car trying to respond to the murder about a block or 2 away.
I did call the police to tell them what I saw, went down to the station and helped, of course. The point is I do know how it was and certainly still is.
At the time I had just finished being a law student in Camden, NJ and lived a couple of blocks from a major drug corner. The risk of being killed was higher than a tour in Vietnam. Hundreds of bullet holes in my house. Bang bang bang bang every night. My house was just for target practice.
But, I lived in the safer Rutgers campus area, so possibly not so dangerous?
But, to cut to the quick, these have always been rough neighborhoods. In Camden on hell night (the night before Halloween) I looked out over the city and it looked like it was firebombed, So many columns of smoke from burning buildings.
Just a little reality check. The Philly/Camden area was always a hellscape.
Fast forward to social justice bail. Well, the bad guys with money always have gotten out to do bad things. Of course, people with money are people with more to lose.
Now I live in New York, where this release without bail thing is now law also. Domestic violence offenders are released to go back and attack victims.
Of course there is a presumption of innocence. But it’s like a vaccine situation. Public safety must be protected. You don’t ask if the person with smallpox is guilty. There must be reasonable public assurance of safety. There must be skin in the game, and lack of money is no excuse. Enhanced penalties for repeats. Perhaps more severe punishments for repeats while awaiting trial. Bail should be viewed more broadly. And repeat offenders on “bail”, monetary or otherwise, should be treated without mercy.
VERY tough situation balancing liberty with reason.
Go read his Wikipedia page. He’s a philanthropic sort of guy to the tune of 32 billion. Puke!
Oh yeah they make him sound great which is why wiki is info for dumbasses.
No mention that he helped the Nazi’s
Mish, I’ve got you beat. My zip code is Muskegon Heights, Michigan and according to City-Data Muskegon Heights’ crime score is 947.9, Danville is a pleasant 802. For comparison, Detroit is 838.2 and the US national average is 274. I actually live in one of the only safe places within that zip code.
Michigan has many high crime areas in part from the rust belt effect where most of the auto jobs were automated or outsourced, which cratered many cities’ economies.
Have you ever gone to Fricano’s Pizza? I haven’t been there in over 40 years, but I’ll bet they are still there.
Yes, Fricano’s Pizza Tavern in Grand Haven is a classic. A bit greasy, but great.
Thats not what happened to Detroit. Its still a violent shithole and there are plenty of jobs and a labor shortage. It was a demographic shift with increasing crime and violence that led people to flee to the suburbs. Detroit went from 1.75 million to .75 million.
“One way to reduce violent crime is to not convict anyone of anything in the name of “social justice”.
Not true, crime rates are based on reported crimes, not solved ones. And what is this unbelievable paranoia of Soros? It’s even worse than the demonization of the Kochs.
“paranoia of Soros?”
Perhaps because Soros has funded a number of prosecutors’ election campaigns around the USA. They are all ‘SJW’ s.
Chicago presently has State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. Soros donated directly and indirectly $408,000 to her campaign. She won. Criminals now are routinely not charged in even violent cases. The Chicago Police are beside themselves trying to establish order in many neighborhoods. That is why some of us are ‘paranoid of Soros’.
Consider Danville IL murder rate – My home town
Population 31,424 according to 2017 census
Murders 12
12/31,424 = x/1000
12,000 / 31,424 = x
.382 murders per 1,000
Yes, that should be .39
Thanks
Right, so the figures should be 39 per 100,000, or .39 per 1,000. Not 39 per 1000 as described in the post. Your figures are off by a factor of 100.
I think your figures should read per 100,000 residents. If its per 1k the country is screwed.
I noticed that too.
At least the President has the balls to call out these trash heaps for what they are. Love it! I wish he would do more of it. The honesty is refreshing and entertaining to boot!
Nothing has changed in Newburgh, NY. In the early 1970’s my mom was a teacher at Newburgh Free Academy, the city’s only public high school. One day a student threw another out a 3rd story window.
Holyoke MA, Springfield MA, and Hartford CT are on the same 35 mile stretch of I-91, so no surprise there. There used to be tons of manufacturing and textile jobs until unions drove jobs overseas.
I can understand Schenectady made the list, but I am astounded Troy is safer than Albany. My brother’s best friend is the public defender in Schenectady and can’t walk a block without former clients thanking him for his services.
Capital should have zero influence on the execution of justice or the choice of those elected to oversee justice. It’s an abomination.
Would be interesting to introduce comparable stats from Canada, Holland, Sicily, India, etc. See how much cause the US has to play world policeman and feature as the “good” guy.
Wikipedia has very a good page titled
“List of countries by intentional homicide rate”
Scroll down to the table of all countries and click twice on the top of the column labeled “Rate” .
This shows the USA to be number 89 out of 230 listed ‘nations’.
Canada is number 151. Netherlands is 193. India is 117.
They don’t list Sicily separately, but it is part of Italy, number 201.
