Iran Attacks Israel with Drones. Supposedly It’s Over Already. What Happened?

It’s a multi-front war in Israel as the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Jordan launch an attack. But Iran says attack is over already.

Israel Braces for Impact

Haaretz reports Iran Launches Missiles, Drones as Israel Braces for Impact; Houthis, Hezbollah Join Attack

  • First Iranian attack drones will reach Israel around 2 A.M., defense officials estimate; Israel to close airspace.
  • Over 100 drones intercepted outside Israeli territory with assistance from U.S. and U.K., Israeli army radio reports. IDF deploys GPS jamming
  • Israeli war, security cabinets convene, Israeli army intensifies emergency guidelines, shuts down schools and large gatherings.
  • IDF confirms ballistic missiles launched at Israel as explosions heard above Jlem, major cities in Israel’s south and north

Silliness Spreads

Clearly, Greenwald is correct.

Iran Says its ‘Military Action’ Is ‘Concluded’

“Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus. The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!”

Concluded Already

Q: Does this make any sense?
A: Yes

First: Iran does not want a full war with Israel.

Second: The Israeli attack on Damascus on April 1 that led to Iran’s retaliation was illegal.

“Diplomatic buildings are entitled to broad protections from attack or other interference by the host country under international customary law, codified in the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the 1963 Convention on Consular Relations.”

Here’s an alternate view from the NYT.

“Israel is a third state and is not bound by the law of diplomatic relations with regard to Iran’s Embassy in Syria,” said Aurel Sari, a professor of international law at Exeter University in the United Kingdom.

Then again

“Embassies are protected from use of force in an armed conflict, not primarily because they are embassies but because they are civilian objects,” said Yuval Shany, an international law professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. “Therefore, in principle, it is not permissible to target an embassy in the same way it’s not permissible to target a school.”

Third: The distance involved made the attack symbolic.

Conclusion

  • Iran felt obliged to respond to an action by Israel that many would conclude is illegal.
  • Iran did respond but in a manner that was unlikely to accomplish anything but preserve honor.

However, Iran’s response is likely to stir up more sympathy in Congress for aid to Israel.

This is of course what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted in the first place when he attacked the embassy in Syria.

Everything fits nicely.

Spotlight US Congress

War hawks in Congress will be clamoring for more money for defense, more money for Ukraine, and more money for Israel.

To buy votes of Democrats who object to more money for Israel, expect monetary sweeteners for pet projects.

It’s always more of this in return for more of that.

Estimated cost of one day Israeli defense 13 April 2024 is 1.2 to 1.3 billion dollars US.
Not including additional expenditures by US and UK.

From Haaretz Jul 31, 2022:
“U.S. Marines Tested Israel’s Iron Dome. Here’s What They Really Proved
The U.S. Army has already acquired two Iron Dome missile defense batteries, but is not deploying them and is interested in purchasing a U.S.-made system instead”

186 comments showing the sensivity of the issue…..Allow me to recapitulate swiftly on Israel’s Real Estate project, for that s what it is.

For ages now, smart sophisticated jews have been illegally occupying land belonging to backward palestinians, endlessly terrorising and killing the latter during the criminal process. In october last year a gone berserk Hamas fraction, amazingly penetrating a very protected fence, some evil speakers even pretending with help from the very Izzies, taking hostages and killing, whether staged or not, hundreds of jewish. As a response the equally gone berserk almighty Israel starts bombing and killing indiscriminately, Residential areas and even hospitals are being ruthlessly destroyed eliminating more than 30 thousand among which countless women and children, a good palestinian is a dead palestinian they must be thinking. Even UN and foreign aid workers got murdered ! Go figure what msm would say if Putin did it, the Izzies on the other hand get away with outright murder, torturing and starvation! Yeah the poor Palestinians get help from Iran, thats why the consulate in Damascus got bombed killing 16. Iran symbolically retaliated sending some drones into Israel killing NOBODY . That s all …..with idiocy suffering, (circumsized?) bigots here , wanting , hoping even, for Israel to do what it did in Gaza. Civilization at its best !

Lesson 1: don’t start wars with a powerful adversary
Lesson 2: In wars, civilians die. Always have, always will
Lesson 3: If your civilians act like barbarians as have more than just a few innocent Palestinians have, don’t expect even the peaceniks in Israel to tolerate it.

Any questions?

The whole strike could likely have been averted had the UN Security Council done its job and uphold international law, condemning Israel.
As for the damage to Ramon airport and others as well as select military installations, I am still awaiting videos of how pristine and unscathed it all looks. Note that Israel routine lies about everything; right now they’re blocking any footage and reports from getting out of the country and into the media.

Why is the Sapiens Ape, the male version in particular, such a violent, bloodthirsty, power hungry , perverse bastard ?? …..I have been studying the matter thoroughly in recent years and have reached a final albeit humble conclusion : given that almost everything in our behaviour is somehow undeniably sex related, our despicable conduct is probably due to the lack of a baculum !

Freud was one of the inbred jews I mention above.

The Jews second issue:.
The matriarchal jewish society/culture causes Jewish men to feel insecure and never good enough for the BPD Yenta that bore them. Can you imagine Netanyahoo in children’s short pants and a sailor hat? Infatilization is one of the other outcomes for Jewish men as well as obsessive sexualization of everything. Also high rates of homo sexuality since their creepy mother made women too horrifying to attach to, and lastly you have a man child trapped to his last breath trying through achievement to get the love he never received from his castrating mother. Trying to get the love you never received motivates the Jewish man to succeed to an irrational degree, that’s all it is. They just try harder, but why they try harder, is an enigma to them. (Of course this applies non jews as well.)

People who pursue the field of mental health suffer from rates of mental illness far above the plebs. The APA did a study of this then hid it when the numbers were off the chart. Freud was a mental basket case and a drug addict.

Freud was a creepy Jew who never met a whole human. It’s was the human dilemma through the lens of Jewish culture.

I read books I know things

(((They’re stealing our vital body fluids.)))

Albinism causes a form of violent aggression well know to commercial livestock breeders, all white chickens peck each other to death while brown ones get along in peace.

We are witnessing the “Intersection of Insanities.”

The Europeans are derived from albinos. Blue eyes are the hallmark of albinism.

The Khazarian Jews are inbred, they are all 3rd cousins. Look it up. They went through a filter at some point and all have common ancestors. This has led to profound genetic based dysfunctions in their psychology – significant and pernicious enough to make them immune to therapy. For the Khazarian Jew therapy is a lifelong pursuit.

So? You have rage filled Europeans in bed with genetically deranged Jews threatening the world with annihilation. It’s like turning over the nuclear football to the lock down, top floor, psych unit of your local hospital.

The non inbred Jews in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Ethiopia do not suffer from persecution complex’s and delusions of grandeur? They get along with their neighbors and all is fine.

Are you starting to get the picture yet?

Persecution complexes make people impossible to live with. Their paranoia erodes every interpersonal relationship. Borderline Personality disordered person’s are convinced whomever is within their sphere is causing their self loathing issues? Same with the depressed, the nebbish, the anxious, the paranoid, the greedy and the compulsion to control others in sociopathy and psychopathy. BPD highly prevalent in the Jew.

The western world in the grip of incurable insanity.
But believes it is sane?
Cross dressers and Tranny’s in US Military leadership and Government are one issue the fact the plebs don’t see anything wrong with it is another.

This will not end well.

My view is Israel will need to send a very loud message of deterrence to border states that wish its’ destruction.
This being a geographic situation as being surrounded by armed countries committed to its’ annihilation.
Live and let live is not going to be allowed as a state of coexistence in Middle East.

Unfortunately this will lead directly to escalation at this point of time.

Hate to use as metaphor but is appropriate. All small boys when finding a nest of yellow jackets hanging from an apple tree, just have to try their hand at throwing apples at said nest. After getting stung several times they understand, will not be doing that again.

Israels seven day War bought by blood, brought with it some peace for a time in middle east. That time has been forgotten and Blood Lust runs high in Middle east again.

Can Iran overwhelm IDF defense if it deploys the 150,000 weapons it could fly at Israel at once. I would say yes as Hamas attack almost accomplished that.
For now Iran has been testing IDF capability using proxies. This first Iranian attack was nothing but a jab thrown.

Israel will be doing some stinging over next days. Better that then using its’ nuclear weapons as last resort.

Biden’s state department has destabilized middle east and consequences are now materializing.

United States being sole world power with an intact industrial Base after WW2 had the power to do that.
That support has not wavered as official US policy since that time.

A couple thoughts popped into my mind.

The UN law only pertains to the host’s action to an embassy, not action against an embassy by a non-host nation.

The US military assets were in transit to Israel when Iran launched this attack. The late arrival of supplies indicates the situation will escalate beyond last night’s fireworks display.

Iran has a better proxy war going on, so I’d have to agree the direct drone and missile attack was a way for Iran to save face.

Did Iran violate Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia air-space? If any of those countries did not attempt to shoot down those drones; they are complicit, and risk being drawn into the conflict. I can understand Syria would support such a transgression. Iraq has bad blood with Iran and is harboring resentment toward the US for destroying the entire country to remove Saddam Hussein.

Israel has the mentality of a school yard bully. Oct 7 took away their supposed deterence and showed that Israel is vulnerable. Israel’s over the top reaction is an attempt to re-establish their deterence. But all they are doing is making more enemies and no one is deterred.

Hamas is winning in Gaza on the military front. Israel is winning in its turkey shoot of the civilian population. But, that is just creating more Hamas fighters. Bibbi’s and Ben Gavir’s carefully laid plan to drive the Palestinians from Gaza. Israelis finds itself in a problem and can’t admit defeat. Thus they are working to widen the war and bring the US in to save them. Time to pull the plug on the nasty Zionist project.

Iran is using up Israel’s defense system, one drone attack at a time. This inexpensive tiny war machines, are extremely cheap compared to the iron dome, and readily available by the tens of thousands. They can also pin point targets based on the retaliation amongst other things that can help with.

This is why Ukraine is using drone strikes, except Russia doesn’t have an Iron Dome to protect against them. So they have been effective, and that’s why Russia just said enough!

Doug78

Then it would make economic sense for Israel to destroy things in Iran that cost more than the cost of Iron Dome and David’s Sling so as to make Iran wonder if the attack was worth it. Have any favorite targets in mind like something really expensive and hard-to-impossible to replace?

Except sooner or later actual civilians are going to die on both sides. That’s the calculus that has to be factored in when you are ‘destroying objects that cost money’

At the moment, other than a few deaths in the Iranian embassy, there have been no civilian deaths. If both sides continue to shoot then there will be civilian casualties. Do you think the people who are going to die in both countries think its worth it to shoot to destroy some more objects?

I have no idea what the average Iranian thinks, but I suspect that in a democracy like Israel that the population doesn’t want to experience any more deaths than necessary.

Israel already has suffered considerable civilian casualties not only by Iranian and Hezbollah missiles but by torture, rape and captivity of the worst sort. Now Iran has sent a considerable number of explosives onto Israel hoping to inflict even more deaths and you expect that any retaliation by Israel should not involve any Iranian deaths at all?

Scrolling through these comments reveals a sad truth about the effectiveness of propaganda and the stupidity of most Americans. Seeing Mike break these events down and reveal the motivations behind the key players to his readership is like watching Bill Maher educate his liberal audience on the drawbacks of wokism.

The political Right in the USA is in a sorry state. They have fallen for Zionist-AIPAC propaganda. Even the so-called “MAGA” crowd. I thought the MAGA crowd was against censorship and foreign entanglements. But ever since the Israeli’s went on their Genocidal rampage in Gaza and rightly caught flak for conservatives have changed their tune. They now support censorship against critics of their new favorite country… Israel. Conservatives and Mr. MAGA himself, Trump, support funding and supplying weapons for Israel’s bombing of civilian populations and other war crimes. I think it’s safe to conclude that many Republicans, conservatives, and self styled alt-Righters are just as much as cancer in the USA as woke liberals are.

Paul Gottfried has been a big disappointment but he’s an old dottering man who can’t think straight. Also the alt-right is definitely not in support of Israel. The right has become infested with the neocons whose leadership are primarily Jewish Zionists. That’s the problem. Well, that and the Evangelical zionist him are so enamored with Biblical prophecy that they can no long tell right from wrong.

All true. I find reflexive ignorance everywhere.
My favorite bumper sticker:
“Read A xxxxing Book”
Second favorite:
” I read books – I know things”

Starting in the late 70’s with Beirut and Carter; (the hostages were released when Reagan got into office BTW) The publishing and news world were combined into a super propaganda state apparatus. Then came the DARPA with the internet which of course made it all so much easier to control what everyone believed. Then the CIA put bureaus in the news offices and the revolving door between government and the information promogulators became one, them hundreds of senior ex CIA, Homeland Security, State Department chumps were given high positions in Google, X, FB, etc. ( not Tik Tok BTW.

I collect books from 5 epochs 1850 or things that took place around then and written soon after.
Then 1900 – 1920.
Then 1942 ish like Lin Yutangs book “Laughter to Tears” where he somehow predicts everything happening today, including Britain instigating war against Russia and Japan being re armed to curtail China (all this before ww2 ended?

The publishing industry was destroyed and consolidated by the late 70’s. Everything written after that is literally fake. Everything taught in college is based up malleable sniveling self serving lies that brought us to the 100% fake world we are living in today.

Almost everything everyone believes is part of an agenda, a fabrication/propaganda. Movies are fake, TV is fake, College is fake, NYT is fake,

When I go to used book sales the fake titles after the 1981 scream at me FAKE FAKE FAKE.

I have tried repeatedly to get very intelligent people to see the obvious lies they accommodate in their world view. It’s impossible. You can pull them out for a bit then they revert.

I conclude from this it’s a hopeless situation. That animals incapable of reconnoitering reality are doomed. Like living atop lava in Pompei or Thera and ignoring the increasing rumbling of the Volcano.

All thinking is reflexive and emotional now. If they look for the truth anywhere it’s 50 years of fake to look for it in.

To correct this view took me at least 12 years so I can’t imagine there is any hope it gets better for the masses.

caveat: GenZ does not believe anything coming out of the faucets filling Trump and Biden and Kennedy tard’s heads.

I doubt very much judging by your simple thought processes and resistance to new ideas – you have even read a non fiction book outside the normie pablum in 5 years.

Caveat: I’m sure you’ll read books that support your emotional and fearful world view.

The Southern Hemisphere is awesome the largest book conference in the world is held in Buenos Aries – a million people attend.

I have a library with over 10,000 non fiction books. I buy one banana box of books every few weeks. I bought a box yesterday actually all written before 1980. I have never watched TV. As a result my brain is architected differently from yours. It’s why pre TV older books are so much smarter that those written by those raised on TV. I can’t read a recent book. They’re trash, one of my good friends is NYT best seller – they made a movie from one his book and starting another now. Never read em.

I’ve lived all over the world. I have friends all over the world. I’ve traveled from one end of the US to the other in the last 2.5 years. The US sucks. The people are unbelievably toxic and ignorant. It’s a filthy place. Des Moines is about the only decent city left. Oddly the small farm towns in Illinois were nice too. Giant agri business has destroyed rural America. The cities are liberal wastelands.

The Excremento Humanos boomers – selfish, toxic, abusive, greedy, hypocritical, narcissistic have turned the US into a fascist, war mongering, police state dystopian hell hole. It’s closed thinkers like you that made it what it us today. Vile and Disgusting.

I’ll let you in on a secret:

Iran had to something but Iran doesn’t have the means to penetrate Israeli defenses but they had no choice. Iran ended up showing the world that Israeli defenses are effectively very good and that Iran’s missiles are overrated.

Now having been attacked, Israel has the choice of if and if yes then has the choice of when, where and how much. Perhaps we will see how bad Iran’s air defenses really are.

Israel’s defenses are not impenetrable. Iron Dome can easily be overwhelmed by sheer numbers of cheap drones and/or some of the hundred thousand rockets held by Hezbollah. Israel can try to drag Iran into a war while having the US on a leash. Iran doesn’t want a war.

STOP this foolish talk! What would Iran do with a nuke bomb or two or three? It probably would be shot down before reaching whatever target it was sent at. Would that cause an explosion then? Where would the fallout spread to? And what would Iran do when they are hit with 20+ nuke bombs in return from Israel AND the USA? And since the world winds blow west to east, what would China do when the fallout clouds drift over its territory? Sheese.

If any nation launched an assault like this against the US, we would be on our way to grind their civilization into dust. We’ve done a lot more in response to a lot less.

The minimum response possible is for Israel to degrade Iran’s nuclear weapons program. No nation willing to launch weapons against Israel can be allowed to have nuclear weapons.

At $1million a pop.

Iran has 120,000 of them. At least. with another 120,000+ distributed around among “allies” in the region.

Iran can also build 12,000 new ones a month. Heck, even the Houthies can garage-build 120/month.

Within a decade or two; long, long, long before any nonsense of the “AI”,”Self Driving”, “Solar powered”, nor BEV kind is even remotely relevant as anything more than vehicles for forcibly transferring productive people’s value-add to the Fed’s most favored rankest of idiots: even lowly aspiring school shooters will have the means to build them.

All useful technology/manufactured goods evolve that way: They get cheaper and cheaper, easier and easier, and more and more commoditized.

This was the point that former Israelis Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made on MSNBC this morning. He asked what the USA would do if Cuba, for example, launched 300 drones and missiles at Florida? Israel HAS to respond in what would be a similar fashion, he contends.

Which brings up a related point of interest. Netanyahu seems to be leaning to holding back on any additional response to Iran’s provocation, taking Biden’s counsel.

But there are many on the political left who have been calling for early elections in Israel and for Netanyahu to be replaced. What if his replacement was someone like Bennett, who at least in this case, appears to want to escalate this matter, which might lead to a bigger Middle East war.

If an embassy is being used as a base of operations for military or militant strikes does it still qualify as a civilian building? That being said I don’t think it was a smart move for the Israelis to take it out. And the Iranian response is measured. Israel should have concentrated in hitting Hamas much harder than they have with the power of the strike on Hamas as a warning to Iran and its proxies to not mess with Israel.

In fact, it is a decidedly short-term situation. Your future is that you’ll always be on the run, always looking over your shoulder. You’ll have to use burner phones. You have almost 100% chance of being killed or wounded and perhaps crippled for life, where if you are lucky, you can spew your vehemence from a wheelchair. There are no retirement benefits. Should you have a family and be able to stay with them, no one will have a normal life. Oh and the PLO, for one, has stopped paying support money to families for those “martyred” in their fanaticism.

But on the plus side, you are supposed to get 72 virgins when you die. I’ve never understood this though. What is so good about virgins? Possibly that they are clean and don’t have STD’s? But is that a real issue in terrorist heaven?

To fill in some background, Iran has serious economic difficulties. The Regime is teetering. It also has much dissension among it various political factions. There are regular internal terrorists attacks against the government in Iran. The last thing Iran can afford now is a full scale war with the West, which is what will happen if it were to seriously attack Israel.

Iranian rial collapses, ‘loses 30% of value’

By OHAD MERLIN

April 8, 2024

Yesterday, a sharp crash in the value of the Iranian Rial was reported, with some sources reporting that one USD would now be worth over 660,000 Iranian Rials in some unofficial markets.

Others stressed that the already weak currency suffered a blow, leading to the loss of 30% of its worth overnight, despite the regime’s official digits showing no major changes.

One member of the Majlis (the Iranian parliament) demanded to know from chair Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf which steps the authorities are going to take. He called on the parliament to meet with the governor of the country’s central bank and wondered, “If we don’t have money, why are we printing more? And if we do have money, why is it so costly?”

Qalibaf answered that they are “aware of the situation and will hold meetings inshallah,” sparking a wave of disappointed and sarcastic comments.

One user commented ironically, “Oh, you’re going to hold a meeting? Bulls**t.” Another user uploaded a video showcasing the Rial’s loss of buying power, showing how a 50,000 Rial banknote ($1.2) used to be enough to buy 30 eggs only a decade ago, while nowadays it suffices to buy only one single egg.

This is of course what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted in the first place when he attacked the embassy in Syria.

I still fail to believe Israel had some security breach for the initial attack last year in Israel on civilians. Netanyahu let that attack happen so he could precisely go down this route to war against Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah. It is all Biden’s fault !

I suspect that the Iranians used a multitude of very cheap objects and decoys in an attempt to get Israel to use many of its very expensive defenses. This method was used very successfully in Ukraine by the Russians, who destroyed in this way almost completely Ukrainian air defense in 2022 and 2023, and can now use their most effective and modern weapons with almost total success. This is a fault of very expensive weapons, when we do not know exactly what we are using them against, and we simply risk wasting them.

This will disappear in the not distant future when lasers come on board that can be used to cheaply shoot down drones and missiles. Israel has been experimenting with these as part of its Iron Dome.

All major powers have been working on laser weapon technology for years.

Here’s a recent story:

British military laser could appear on front line in Ukraine to take down Russian drones

By Kim Sengupta

April 11, 2024

The production of laser energy and radio waves – viewed once as weapons of the future – are being fast-tracked in Britain for the battlefields of Ukraine and Red Sea passages coming under Houthi attacks.

The DragonFire system, which uses a beam to hit and destroy targets at the speed of light, and radio frequency hits taking out an adversary’s power supplies, will be tested by the Royal Navy and the Army next month in preparation for operational deployment.

The system, which the Ministry of Defence holds is world-leading, is due to be operational in three years time. But defence secretary Grant Shapps holds that one could not wait to get a system absolutely perfect in such dangerous times, and getting them ready for combat in the fastest time possible is the priority.

“In a more dangerous world, our approach to procurement is shifting. We need to be more urgent, more critical and more global …. Let’s say that it didn’t have to be 100 per cent perfect in order for Ukrainians perhaps to get their hands on it – 2027 is still the date as of this moment. But of course I’ll look to see what we can do to speed up,” he said.

Ah, the Star Wars defense. Reagan promised this in the 80’s for Russian ICBM’s and it never came to fruition.

You need to be able to stay on target a long time to do damage and polished drones will reflect a lot of light. It will be interesting to see if this can actually work with modern computers and other tech. I suspect it won’t.

It’s already been researched. It would have to be close to a perfect mirror for it to work and the cost to make a missile that is a perfect mirror is very very expensive and any imperfection, even a nick would allow a laser to burn through.

It has already been tested. You would need a mirror that reflects 99.99% of the light for it to be effective and that is for a relatively low-power one. Even a bug splat would create enough heat for the laser to burn through and to coat your missile with a mirror like that would cost a lot of money. It is not theory. They tried it and it doesn’t work.

Here’s an Israelis article:

Israel reportedly accelerating deployment of laser aerial defense system

20 Nov 2023

With over 10,000 projectiles launched toward Israeli territory, from various factions since the war on Hamas erupted, the Iron Beam would be a game changer

Israel over the past 15 years developed a sophisticated multi-layered defense system, which has been put into active duty as it faces aerial threats from terror groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, various pro-Iranian militias in Syria and the Houthis in Yemen.

Among the recent developments, the “Iron Beam” system from Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has stood out as a major innovation with a high-power laser to intercept rockets, anti-tank missiles, drones and mortar shells.

More than a hundred Rafael engineers have reportedly been working on this project, considered one of the most significant technological challenges ever faced by the Israeli defense industries, in order to create a fast and effective interception system, with inexhaustible and near cost-free ammunition.

I’ve been waiting for directed energy ever since ?Reagan’s Star Wars initiative. No. Ever since Fusion was just over the horizon.

Electric Cars. They pre-date diesels which pre-date gasoline cars.
The battery problem still has not been clinched.

Just like in WWI when British and German battleships couldn’t be used due to fear of them being sunk by submarines. There was only one naval battle during the entire war.

Just what Netanyahu and Biden want, a nice big war in the Middle East to take attention away from Gaza and to stay in power. Nothing like a war to rally political support

Both Israel and Iran will benefit if the extremists (Hezbollah, Quds, etc) are eliminated — both Tel Aviv and Tehran would rather focus on growing their economies / tax bases. Its politically difficult for Tehran to marginalize Quds commanders, but oh so convenient if Israel does it for them. Getting rid of Quds and Hezbollah ironically benefits Tehran as much as it does Tel Aviv.

Tehran sees the benefits of international trade starting from Chinese Belt and Road initiatives. China is investing in Iran’s oil fields, and trading all sorts of goods are now trading between Iran and Asia. Having extremists kick up a new war every few years is not helpful to Iran.

Tehran wants its own war-mongers marginalized, they just can’t say so out loud.

The civilians (not Hezbollah) in Gaza will benefit from normalized relations between Israel and Saudi / UAE – lots of grants and investment money has been waiting for years. Israel would benefit from a stable Gaza and increased trade, so long as it is products and services, not weapons.

Saudi and UAE officials want Isreali know-how on irrigation and converting desert land into farms.

Western arms dealers (in government and outside), Hezbollah and Quds benefit (profit) from perpetual wars. Everyone else benefits when the extremists get neutralized.

.

Qui non proficit? Western arms dealers and war mongers in Iran

Qui bono? Most everyone else.

And its become obvious that Washington DC is no longer able to stop this change.

lol, Israel is not exactly a desert country, is it ? If it manages to irrigate it is merely because there s water available , the Northern part s even got snowy mountains. There are absolutely no secrets to irrigation , look at southern Spain with irrigation introduced by the Moorish more than 1000 years ago …

The Romans introduced large-scale irrigation to southern Spain. The Arabs inherited the system and only slightly expanded it.

I suspect the Gazans and West Bank Palestinians are not quite ready to forgive and forget Israel’s transgressions, especially as settlements continue to push Palestinians out of their homes and deny them statehood. This will remain a flashpoint, I fear, until this core issue is resolved.

I doubt Biden wants a nice big Israel Iran war. It’s a direct risk of $6 gas which would likely reduce his chances in the election to a rounding error. It would be worse if Iran shut off the strait of Hormuz. He does like to keep the money printer going though so it would be good for that.

Biden told Israel to back off in Gaza, and not escalate things versus Iran. Israel told Biden to go piss off.

Biden warned Iran not to attack Israel, so Iran attacked Israel to send a message to Biden (or Blinken or Jake Sullivan or whomever is supposed to be running things when Biden has another of his “senior moments”).

Iran was sending a message to Washington DC, not to Israel.

Israel doesn’t want to attack Iran itself, only the Iranian proxies in Lebanon / Syria / Gaza. Iran doesn’t actually want a war with Israel, which would likely go very badly for Iran — much worse than the Iran-Iraq war.

The only entity that profits from perpetual middle east war is located in Washington DC. Not the USA as a whole, just the corrupt politicians, unelected bureaucrats and their revolving defense industry door.

Both Israel and Iran are showing they understand who actually “wins” (profits) from their fighting.

This particular event would never had happened under a Trump admin. From Jan. 2021 on, Iran’s posture toward the U.S. changed 180 degrees. Biden/Blinken promote appeasement to the rest of the world starting with the Afghan debacle. Is China vs Taiwan next?

Israel’s purpose for striking the embassy was to start a war with Iran and drag the brain dead Biden Administration into it. The US seems to be going along. Amazing how easy it is to bribe US politicians with a few million $s to get them to spend many billions of $s for the bribe. How much money has been wasted on Israel? Israel is an amoral, criminal leech.

There is a lot of “defense” profits to be made, and the Ukraine disaster is looking really bad for NATO. Washington DC needs a new war to keep the bribes, kickbacks, and lucrative “consulting” gigs going.

Israel doesn’t benefit from perpetual war, which is why they are sick and tired of the hezbollah attacks, Israel responds half-way … lather, rinse, repeat cycle. The USA government is financially broke beyond all reason, and DC’s ability to support Israel in the future is in serious doubt. Thus, it is in Israel’s interests to wipe out Hezbollah while the US can still provide some cover.

Everyone, all over the world, is starting to realize just how bankrupt the US government really is. And $2 trillion deficits as far as the eye can see? Clueless octogenarians keep saying that “we” will pay you back — as in “we” the octogenarian politicans spend now, and “we” somebody else will pay you depreciated dollars decades from now if you are lucky?

Its in Israel’s interest to get rid of the Hezbollah problem now. Hezbollah saw the writing on the wall with Saudi Arabia and UAE beginning to officially normalize relations with Israel — Hezbollah’s October attack was a act of desperation, and it gave Israel the green light.

Iran understands this, even if they can’t say so out loud. Iran benefits from having the most extreme radical generals (Quds) eliminated, freeing up Iran to focus on expanding trade and economic improvements. Iran gets more powerful by growing its economy, not by feeding US/European arms dealers.

This attack is potentially positive for Israel.

  • It takes media attention away from the poor starving supposedly innocent denizens of Gaza.
  • It nicely forces the Hamas supporters Dem Congresspeople to reconsider their calculus of protesting Israel arm sales.
  • It puts a damper on the so-called Gaza ceasefire/hostage exchange discussions.
  • Depending on what damage Israel suffers in the attack, Israelis may rally around Netanyahu.

Already, there are strong moves occuring in Washington DC to support Israel as everyone should expect.

Iranian attack spurs bipartisan calls for swift U.S. action
Andrew Solender
13 Apr 2024

Members of Congress in both parties called for an immediate U.S. response to a wide-ranging Iranian drone attack against Israel on Saturday.

Why it matters: The attack, launched directly from Iranian soil, represents an unprecedented escalation in what had previously been a proxy war between the two nations, Axios’ Barak Ravid reported.

•  A Biden administration spokesperson said the U.S. “will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
•  House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) said the House’s schedule for next week will be changed to include votes on “legislation that supports our ally Israel and holds Iran and its terrorist proxies accountable.”

Iran directly attacking Israel was a foolish strategic move. This is the first time that Iran has made such a move and it opens up the possibility of a major response from Israel. Iran should have restricted its response to Israelis assets outside of Israel itself.

Iran must be making this response because of many conflicting political forces that were pushing for a response internally. The Iranian regime is teetering on the edge of being overthrown.

Why? What Iran did was the equivalent of an old time ‘challenging someone to a duel’ and then after walking off 10 paces firing into the air instead of at the opponent.

t was meant to satisfy honor, it was not a serious military response because attacks that take hours to arrive are laughable.

50 drones and missiles could be construed as “shooting in the air” but 350 does not. The fact that the attack failed does not mean it wasn’t a serious attack meant to do serious harm.

Not including expenditures by the US and UK.

Iran does not want a full war with Israel”

But what everyone making this statement is missing is that can you be sure that Israel does not want a full war with Iran?

There is one sure way to put a damper, if not a full stop, to attacks from Iran’s proxies, the arms such as Hezbollah, Houthis, Hamas, etc. and that is to kill the head of the octopus, which is Iran.

Sounds like Biden has already told Israel not to do anything further since this attack simply satisfied Iranian honor and did essentially nothing to Israel.

So I expect the US to do nothing further. The question is whether Israel will also be satisfied or seek to ramp things up further.

Yes and by Biden telling Israel to back off, he provided an out for Netanyahu with his right-wingers who want to attack Iran. He can reply that his hands are tied by Biden and they can’t risk losing more US support by ignoring his warning. Meanwhile, Netanyahu gets some of his supporters that were wavering back in his fold, solidifying his political position for a while longer..

Biden does not want a major war involving the USA breaking out during his reelection run.

The machinations of politics can be fascinating.

Scoop: Biden told Bibi U.S. won’t support an Israeli counterattack on Iran

Barak Ravid

13 Apr 2024

President Biden told Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a call on Saturday that the U.S. won’t support any Israeli counterattack against Iran, a senior White House official told Axios.

Why it matters: Biden and his senior advisers are highly concerned an Israeli response to Iran’s attack on Israel would lead to a regional war with catastrophic consequences, U.S. officials said.
