Israel Strike Dozens of Iran’s Nuclear Facilities, Braces for Retaliation

The attack sets off a new conflict in the Middle East.

Strikes Hit Natanz, One of Iran’s Main Enrichment Facilities

Please consider Israel Launches Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

Israel said it struck dozens of targets across Iran aiming to cripple Tehran’s nuclear program, pushing the region toward a new conflict with uncertain consequences.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military operation would last “as many days as it takes.” The attack targeted Iran’s nuclear program and other military sites, as well as Iranian military commanders, an Israeli military official said.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared a state of emergency and warned that Iran was expected to retaliate for the attack by firing missiles and drones at Israel.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. wasn’t involved in the strikes, and warned Iran not to target U.S. forces.

Oil prices climbed after the attack, and stock futures tied to all three major U.S. indexes fell Thursday evening.

Updates

  • Israel’s El Al Says It Has Suspended Flights to and From Israel
  • Sen. Jack Reed Denounces Israeli Strike. The top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee denounced the Israeli strike as a “reckless escalation” that risks a broader war. “I urge both nations to show immediate restraint, and I call on President Trump and our international partners to press for diplomatic de-escalation before this crisis spirals further out of control. President Trump must be crystal clear with the American people and the international community in charting a way forward.”
  • Netanyahu Says Strikes Hit Natanz, One of Iran’s Main Enrichment Facilities
  • Netanyahu Says Operation ‘Rising Lion’ Will Last ‘as Many Days as It Takes’ “We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. We struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear weaponization program. We targeted Iran’s main enrichment facility in Natanz. We targeted Iran’s leading nuclear scientists working on the Iranian bomb. We also struck at the heart of Iran’s ballistic missile program,” he said.

Observation and a Question

This is war, obviously.

Does Israel need to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities, or does Israel’s action show why Iran needs a bomb to defend itself?

Both can be true or neither.

Addendum

Grok

The phrase “take Israel off the map” is not a verbatim translation but captures the aggressive tone of the original Persian.

Primary Source: The 2005 speech was reported by Iranian state media (IRNA) and translated by various outlets. The New York Times and others used “wiped off the map,” while alternative translations, like those by Middle East scholar Arash Norouzi, suggest “erased from the pages of time” as more accurate.

It’s more complicated as Grok Discusses . “The rhetoric may partly serve domestic or regional posturing.”

Iran was and is defenseless and has no real allies. They could barely muster a fart and a match to fire off at Israel. Iranian oil is now ours again and we can install another governmental regime. This one not so extreme.and theocracy based.

Perhaps the Shah’s son or grandson?

Our military equipment in the hands of the Israelis and cellular voice recognition technology has won yet another war in a foreign land without a peep from Russia, China or any other nation of consequence.

Now that Israel has the Gaza, Iraq, Jordan and Iran under its thumb ~ Who is next?

Israel has been blowing up the ME since 1948. It is a criminal state. All of the real or imagined threats imposed upon them they bring upon themselves as a result of their own actions. The US’s alliance with Israel brings us absolutely nothing but trouble we could easily avoid. Iran is no threat to the US – NONE! The US needs to stay out of this and by stay out of this I mean isolate ourselves from Israel totally. Israel started this. They need to put their big boy pants on and finish what they started.

Iran’s government and many of its people are going to be wiped out and the oil assets protected and taken by Israel and perhaps the U.S.

Dead people can not negotiate for anything.

Trump is supporting the war against Iran with all necessary assets and doing nothing to encourage restraint. It is a wink and a nod world. The diplomacy talk by the U.S. and European’s is nothing but word salad for the masses.

Anyone with a brain knows that this is another sordid chapter in the history of geo religious politics. This is what religious ideologies and nationalism allow and are used to promote. Killing, war and more killing. Intolerance and aggression.

From the Crusades & Fatah’s to Northern Ireland & the Church of England’s world wide conquests, religions & governments are constantly dividing and justifying the death of their enemies. Kill the heathens! Kill the Gays! Kill the Christians! Kill the Muzzies! are the constant war chants of the millennia. It will not stop as long as there are humans alive and walking this earth. Competition for resources and domination are our long entrenched behaviors.

I’m on the side of the winner’s (Israel and the U.S.), but I do not deceive myself that this is not genocide in action. And as bad as this action is, I do not have to worry about my government killing me for observing what I see as the underlying truths behind the ongoing massacres.

Americans get to watch the killing from the comfort of our couches.

It may be north contemplating that the U.S. has busily pumped and sold a huge amount of its oil reserves and it has been observed the the permian basin is peaking in the production cycle using todays technology. Capturing Irans oil is a natural solution for our thirst for oil.

Oil infrastructure is being protected and supplies stabilized. No repeat of the Iraqi conquest with wholesale destruction of oil infrastructure allowed!

Business as usual!

Israel alerted the US government of the planned attack with little time for US citizens to evacuate US Embassies in the Middle East. And now Trump is threatening Iran, with more Israeli attacks. There has to be a lot planning and coordination between the US and Israel in their good cop / bad cop approach to dismantling Iran’s nuclear program.

China is very capable of the same strategy against the US.

America has been planning this since 2009.
“Leave it to Bibi” was the verbatim name of the chapter.
Israel is 100% an American dependent.
American planes, American ordinance, American controlled air space and territory.
———-
–Israel needs to fly over Jordanian & Iraqi airspace — impossible without US permission.
–Israel needs refueling assets and flanking squadrons.
–They need permission to use American weapons & ordinance; the US has total leverage if it threatens to cut any off.
–They need ISR from American satellites, as well as real-time terrein reconnaissance, target selection, terrein mapping.
–Co-ordinates are vetted by US personnel; the notion that drones/missiles can be programmed to hug terrein, home in on targets, weaving between mobile AD assets to strike hundreds of kilometers deep without US programming based on US ISR assets is fanciful.
–They need AWACs and EW assets in the air.
–They need to configure decryption modules to process American signals for positioning and targeting.
»The American role in all this is active technical facilitation and hands-on action.
Any dissembling about American proxies doing their own thing and plausible deniability, pretending America is a neutral party above the fray, striving for peace, is entirely disingenuous, serving only marketing narratives in the sphere of public discourse, but entirely separate from any real considerations that guide action.

So weird that an islamic jihadi becomes the head of Syria … Oh yeah, but Turkey supported the takeover … Turkey, member of what 4 letter mil org? Russian bases in the Med get sidelined. Syrian airspace, open. US recognizes said jihadi’s gov. Look at a map. Saudis are no friend of the Ayatollahs, who used the crazy but ass kicking Houthis to attack the Saudis for years. As well as the Israelis. Now, who was supplying drone upon drone to the Russians? These are big complex geopolitical upheavals. 3 letter agencies better at proxy fights. Israel is a big proxy. Hamas and Hezbollah have been neutered. Iran is left exposed. Internally, look at the VIX OVN spike and fall. Clear out positioning, comes right back in. Meanwhile, the Trump admin has been negotiating with the Ayatollahs on an Iran deal. They were warned. But then pride cometh before a fall. This has been in play for a long time.

Am of opinion this was Israel acting as they had info on Iran moving forward with Nuclear bomb. Probably within days.
Trump has reached out to Islamic world especially Saudi’s as they and others had pledged investment capital into US.
US policy towards Islam was of reaching out. Trumps carrot was extended to a degree to Iran as well.

Iran going forward with Nuclear knowing full well there would be a response is unknown why that decision was made. This suggests that Iran is going to go hard line without compromise as they were willing to engaging in Nuclear.

Lot of media talk about negotiated settlement as only route forward. comes off as wishful thinking to me.

The biggest escalation few people are mentioning is, of course, the closing of the straits of Hormuz; given that the US appears to have no meaningful deployments in the region (after the beating they took from Ansarallah military understanders have mentioned that there are no planes stationed in Diego Garcia nor aircraft carriers in the region), the closure of the straits would be catastrophic and impossible to impede or reverse; if the US is unstable as it is with purely domestic affairs, it’s hard to imagine events not spiraling out of control with gasoline at 30 dollars the gallon, or whatever price it ends up reaching. Dangerous times.

My first thought is: “What took so long” as Iran has been trying to develop Nuclear Weapons to annihilate Israel from the Map of Life, for many Decades.
My initial thought is that they had gotten to the point, which the World has been terrified about, where they would soon be able to launch such a “Nuclear Weapon” and the first target will and always was Israel.
Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for Israel, the Middle-east would simply be a killing zone. At times over the decades, we have certainly witnessed continual war, and talk of such actions, since I can remember: “Death to Israel” has been a chant by many Middle-east Countries.
Perhaps the Israel Intelligence confirmed that Iran is at or close to: “Nuclear Missile strike” capabilities. The World knows Iran has been just itching to get there, and wipe out Israel. Again they pray and chant this fact “All The Time”
Being Americas only “Trusted Friend” in the Middle-east, I don’t agree with the U.S. sitting back, as Iran has also had America in its sights as well. They could easily blame the U.S. and use that as an excuse to launch, if they do have that capability or if it’s right around the corner.
Now is a time where “The Biden Administration’s” absolute “Screw Up” of Afghanistan with their withdrawal efforts, or lack thereof, should be exposed once again. We could and should have had the Airbase and assisted in this campaign, if and when necessary.
What’s that? We gave away that Airbase to the Taliban. Oh, my bad, AND $Billions in Weapons too. Why would we do such a stupid… Never mind, the “PEN” did it right?

Iran was and is a toothless and feeble nation. They have nothing to fight with and that has been demonstrated over and over. Israel on the other hand just wiped the Palestinians off of the map of life. The very definition of genocide.

Now it is on to Iran. After taking over Iran, who is next? The “Rising Lion” is sharpening its claws.

We have been told to be terrified, so we support Israels aggression and the aggression of the Bush and other proxy wars (so often) that many realize that the only reason is selling weapons to kill off pesky overpopulating middle-easterners.

Heck, I’m on the side that is “winning” so why should I care?

There’s plenty good money to be made supplying the tools of the trade and the wars only gonna be won when we’ve blown then all to kingdom come!

While we are at it, let’s kill all those pesky Canadians and Greenlanders. They might get nukes too!

Lets face it, we are not a peacekeeping nation. We are the aggressors and a killing machine. America sponsors Israels killing machine just like a NASCAR team.

Throughout history, humans have brutalized each other and the bells tell the toll of the dead. Or, in silence the children and elderly of the losers die in near-silent gasps for air.

– Iran was and is a toothless and feeble nation. > They have nothing to lose, which is precisely the problem at hand. If they actually can be proven to have Nuclear Weapons, and are at or closely near launching capabilities of Nuclear Weapons, then I would take Iran at there “Precise Words” rather than risk a Nuclear War from a sworn to annihilate your Countries existence over and over again, that has absolutely nothing to lose!

– Israel on the other hand just wiped the Palestinians off of the map of life. > Again a situation of “Defense” as the area in which they resided, was taken over by others, who wanted Israel Gone. As a result, they had a choice to defend themselves or be caught up in a self defense effort by Israel. The chose the latter, and when they went looking for help, they got none from anyone, because they took the wrong side.

– Now it is on to Iran. After taking over Iran, who is next? > Nobody was taken over, and Israel has no desire to do so. They desire Peace, and a way of life
that doesn’t include the constant threat of “Genocide” by a Potential Nuclear Power next door, that claims it will be the very first Place that they will annihilate, over and over, and over again.

– the only reason is selling weapons to kill off pesky overpopulating middle-easterners. > Why? Because we support a Peaceful Nation in the Middle-east. We assist them with weaponry to be used for self defense (Dome). We also allow them to purchase other self defense weaponry to be used when and if deemed necessary. We are not their Parents, and only sell to them, but do not, and don’t want to, Dictate to Them what to do with what they purchase. We are supporting an ally.

Good morning class, welcome to Genocide 101.

In yesterdays lesson, we learned how bombing Gaza into dust was fun and easy. We learned that blowing arms and legs off of Palestinian’s and their children could be fun and no one would hold us accountable. Millions could be eradicated.

Today, we turn our missiles on Iran with the excuse that they are enriching uranium. As we know from previous bombings, Iran is defenseless, has lots of oil and we can profit from taking it. No one will stop us because “we are the victims” (muffled laughter).

We start off with a barrage against their leaders and put the countries leadership into disarray, then start a carpet bombing campaign which virtually levels their cities and infrastructure.

Like Gaza, the civilian population gets killed by our bombs or starved in the streets. No humanitarian relief is allowed and since this is a desert, we do not need furnaces, Dehydration kills relatively quickly and the dust absorbs what little blood remains.

Tomorrows lesson will be on how to bulldoze the rubble and build a monument to holocaust survivors in its place.

Israel’s intelligence agency built a secret drone base near Tehran to launch its recent attacks against Iran. The country spent years preparing for the operation, including smuggling weapons systems and commandos into Iran,

If Iran had attacked Israel to prevent this attack, the U.S. would be defending Israel with all force necessary to turn Iran into dust and take its oil. An attack by Iran would be labeled as “terrorist” and a hate crime. But if Israel wants to turn Gaza into a genocidal dust bowl and Iran into a similar genocidal mess? The U.S. says “Oops! It’s not us. Golly gosh!

Trump in fact backed out of the nuclear non-proliferation deal which had inspectors in Iran preventing this alleged enrichment from happening in the first place.

Face it kiddies, Trump wants war against many people: Palestinians, Californians, Canadian’s, Greenlanders, Iranians, Mexicans etc. without regard for the horrors of war. For Trump, it’s about intolerance, power and being in the spotlight.

Promoting the oil industry… Making money…

But oops! Without those “Rare Earths” he is on China’s short (6 month) leash.

What was that trump said while campaigning? If I were president this war would stop with one phone call?

Not a chance, Trump is a liar, dictator and a war-mongering fool.

The historically warring Semite tribes (which includes both the Jews and the Arabs) will eventually find peace when the old tribal ways are forgotten. The IS occupying Iran is unfit to govern, much less arm for war. They will be taken down soon I think.
The Islamic State will not prevail.

I have to wonder that with all these people presumably worshiping the same God, how many actually pray for Divine Peace? Scriptures are made to be discussed and educate, not fought over. Where is the faith that will let God BE God?

Was Iran’s development of a nuclear bomb for it’s own protection or was it’s purpose was to destroy Tel Aviv and therefore end the Israeli regime? If we can answer that question it will tell us whether Israel was a belligerent in this attack or they were justified because Iran planned to destroy Israel.

Iran is defenseless and can’t even defend itself much less attack Israel effectively.

If Iran bombed Tel Aviv with even a small nuclear weapon it would be reduced to dust and its people annihilated within minutes. The aggression of Israel is obvious. Iran can’t even get a few small missiles through the “Iron Dome” that protects Israel.

This is bald faced aggression by Israel against its neighbor, hidden behind a false flag of fear ~ propaganda at best.

Iran is basically defenseless and can do nothing against our military which supports Israel’s genocidal tendencies.

Russia will not be coming to Iran’s rescue and neither will China. This has all the elements of a “Top Gun” script and taking Iran’s oil is the likely outcome.

Iran is the “New Gaza” as Israel has declared open ended targeting of Iranian government officials and people.

Let’s look at Bibi (Worst Combover since Herod) Netanyahu’s motivations:

  • government in peril due to fight with haredi
  • personal health problems
  • impending nuclear deal JCPOA2
  • at worst an AIPAC cucked pussy political class in USA and dickless President

A better time to kick off against Amalek might not come for decades.

At this point Saudi, Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar have got to be thinking about nuking up.

Oil up 11% and still rising. Gold up $64 so far to a new record.

And then we have $Melania meme coin, which just took a 14% tumble in the last few hours and set a new record low of 24 cents.

Doesn’t appear that the cable news stations are too concerned with the Israel attack. MSNBC and CNN are still talking about Trump and immigration and FOX is taking commercial breaks.

The trade war + gulf war combo is not a good one for the lowering of interest rates. The deficits brought by Big Beautiful Bill combined with prolonged trade and middle easter wars will make Trump’s economy one to be remembered for a very long time.

Two things for certain:

  1. The US is dumb enough to fall for Israel luring it into war.
  2. Israel wouldn’t have done this without US approval and behind the scenes support.
