Dear governor, your own fact list says you are a miserable failure with piss poor priorities. Please apologize, then resign.
Newsom’s Fire Fact Check
- FACT: CalFIRE’s budget has nearly doubled since 2019 ($2 Billion to $3.8 Billion)
- FACT: The budget for managing the forest (AKA “raking the forest”) is now TEN TIMES larger than it was when the Governor Newsom took office. It was a $200 million annual budget in 2018. The state has now invested $2 billion, in addition to the $200 million annually.
- FACT: California dramatically ramped up state work to increase wildland and forest resilience, as well as adding unprecedented resources to support wildfire response. California officials treated more than 700,000 acres of land for wildfire resilience in 2023, and prescribed fires more than doubled between 2021 and 2023.
- FACT: The Governor has called for an independent investigation into the loss of water pressure to local fire hydrants and the reported unavailability of water supplies from the Santa Ynez Reservoir.
I will accept the first four facts as true.
Hooray?

Out of Control Facts
- The fires are still raging out of control. They will eventually be contained.
- Newsom’s has always been out of control.
- Newsom’s jackass woke policies are why the state is now burning.
Dear governor, would you please explain why you spent $24 billion on homeless, are extending money you don’t have to expand benefits to illegal immigrants, and did not spend an allocated $7.5 billion on approved water projects.

The last thing we could ever do is donate to Cal Fire.
The lunatics are running things out in California when will vote better?
The loss of property tax revenue for LA and CA will be catastrophic. Newsom, city councils, mayors, DAs, NGOs, political appointees….. all need to be recalled and replaced with people who want to build. Let’s ask the people in Altadena and Palisades what they think of that.
Q. Do people who lost their homes in the LA fire still have to pay mortgages and property taxes?
—-
A. Yes, homeowners who lost their homes in the Los Angeles wildfires generally still have to pay their mortgages and property taxes, but there are some relief options available[3][5].
Mortgage payments:
1. Homeowners are still responsible for mortgage payments even if their house burns down[3].
2. Many lenders offer mortgage relief programs for disaster victims, including:
– 90-day moratorium on foreclosure for FHA-insured mortgages in presidential-declared disaster areas[6].
– Forbearance options to pause mortgage payments temporarily[3][8].
Property taxes:
1. The LA County Assessor’s Office offers property tax relief through the Misfortune and Calamity Tax Relief Program[5].
2. Affected homeowners can apply for property tax reassessment, potentially reducing their tax burden[5].
3. Proposition 19 allows wildfire victims to transfer their property tax basis, which may provide additional relief[5].

One thing coming out of this is dem party unity is totally fractured.
No way on this Gods green Earth will moderate Dems such as Fetterman and others be able to cover for California politicians decisions, which lead to Fire Apocalypse..
The left which has controlled Dem party for years will be escorted out the door.
Not even NY Dems can ride to rescue.
California Dems need a salvation and it is not appearing.
Its going to be like a STEINBECK novel hundreds of thousands leaving California tor Oklahoma this time. With all the Rules that Biden and Newsome signed its unaffordable for anyone to build the same home. Just look at the Marshall fire in Colorado. The fire area where middle class homes were will be replaced by high density housing. Its an apocalypse, like the great Chicago Fire and the London Fire. Firmly agree that blaming global warming is like gaslighting the public about known requirements established for fire prevention that were ignored!
Laws for the upper classes will be suspended of course, only the lower classes need to comply with building permits.
Hot off the press,
“Landmark California environmental laws will be suspended for wildfire victims seeking to rebuild their homes and businesses, according to an executive order signed Sunday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Requirements for building permits and reviews in the California Environmental Quality Act and the California Coastal Act — often considered onerous by developers — will be eased for victims of the fires in Pacific Palisades, Altadena and other communities, according to the order.”
The message from the California Governor is:
1) Citizens are second class in relation to illegal aliens.
2) Citizens should hate themselves and be ashamed for who they are.
3) The oligarchs must, and will be seved at the lowest possible cost. Hence illegals.
I suspect there will be a mortgage jubilee for many caught up in this firestorm.
you really don’t understand the nature of the beast upon which we all ride.

Another important issue: home insurance rates. Californians should 100% foot their own bills for risky living. They better damn not try to raise rates in safe, sane areas to pay for those jackals.
Insurance companies will raise rates wherever they can. And not just in California where the cost estimates for this fire are already over $100 billion. The state of North Carolina estimates damages from flooding in 2024 was $53 billion in that one state alone.
Well insurance companies in Australia have already done that.
We are located in a flood free area. If our house ever flooded 99% of Melbourne would be under water.
We are not located in a fire prone area. Our house has a metal roof and brick exterior with vegetation clear on all sides. About the only way for our house to burn would be from inside or some kind of magic embers finding their way inside.
Our area has never had a cyclone and tornadoes, well I’ve never heard of one in the area.
Earthquakes – yes, we’ve had several magnitude 3 or 4 earthquakes about 150 miles or so from our area in the past 10 years.
We also love in a low crime area. I’ve only heard of two houses being broken into in the last 15 years or so.
So even though we are a low risk insured property our insurance has about doubled in cost over the past few years.
We are paying for increased interest rates, higher rebuilding costs, and for damage to houses in Queensland and New South Wales that have damaged by wild weather.
And insurance companies in Australia have a bad reputation as far as paying claims and this relates to all types of insy.
The business model for insurance is a pool of people who share the costs that insurance incurs.
Only if risk is appropriately measured and charged for. Those with higher risk should be charged higher rates and those with lower risk should be charged higher rates.
The increased rates show that those high risk insured have not been changed the correct rates.
As a former Angelino, all of L.A. is a hot mess. I don’t know why anyone lives there. Moving to Huntsville was the best decision we ever made, and many other transplants here agree.
Red states rule!
“and the reported unavailability of water supplies from the Santa Ynez Reservoir.”
The last update of Google Earth showed the Santa Ynez Reservoir to be bone dry. The Encino Reservoir, which helicopters drew water from, is much larger and forms a lake. The Santa Ynez Reservoir is the size of a pond, by comparison.
a 117 million gallon pond..
The pond could have supported more back pressure on the system
yes thats my point, the storage tanks only hold 1.5 -3 million gallons, so the “pond” held 30 to 50 times the storage tanks, being able to continously provide water pressure to fight fires.
If it had been filled and online, instead of being drained for over a year, to patch a cover over the “pond” – not for any structural problems with the actual resevoir.
another sign of the massive beauracratic incompetence, and the lack of supervision or accountability.
Government makes bad choices all the time. Just because you don’t like the choices doesn’t make them any worse or better. We need an honest conversation about the role of government. This is what neither party understands. Both parties are guilty of wasteful spending. And the private sector cannot solve all problems as it is optimized for profit and doesn’t care how they really get to this end goal.
Another deflection from a dem apologist.
So we continue on this nanny state mentality where government bails out everyone for any hardship that comes along? Looks to me that’s California’s past and current policy and it’s unsustainable disaster.
What Newsom budgets does not equate to his results. I judge on his results. I believe most thinking people do. I wonder how Californians rate his performance. My guess his next job will be as a Soros PR man.
Relocate them all to Denmark as part of the Greenland deal. They’ll be among kindred spirits.

I see that more than 70 percent of Pacific Palisades voters thought nothing of the Gaza genocide and voted for Genocide Joe’s assistant, Kamala.
They didn’t want to see what has happened to Gaza. Well, now God (if there is a God) has brought Gaza to them!
(Not saying that they should have voted for Trump instead because surely, he will be every bit as bad as Genocide Joe on this issue).
Sorry. You cannot start a war then whine when you get your *ss kicked.
Are you talking about Vietnam? Or Afghanistan? Or Iraq?
war on drugs? war on terror? war on emissions? war on war?
if we remove war from our vocabulary we cannot communicate apparently…
The so-called war on terror belongs to the neocon right-wing warmongers. Don’t foist it on the anti-war left.
And what the f*** is war on war? Is it something like Trump’s insane idea of nuking a hurricane?!
The left in the USA is the war party now
Don’t try to rewrite facts.
It is utterly stupid to call the donorCRAT Party as the “left”. If they were indeed a left-wing party, they would not be supporting the Gaza genocide.
Even the California donorCRAT Party is not really left-wing. If they were, they wouldn’t be repeatedly shooting down Medicare For All at the state level.

I’m not foisting anything upon anyone. I am commenting that the language has been bent and manipulated to control us. Try to overcome your programming or you will be trapped by it.
And yo, the war was started by the Zionist invaders from Europe in 1948. After WW2, US and Europe wanted to hide the fact that it wasn’t just Hitler who hated the Jewish people, but the European people in general. So they sent them off to west Asia as surrogate colonialist settlers.
Why the hell do you think they created UNRWA in 1948? It was created to provide assistance and protection to Palestine refugees who were ethnically cleansed off their land during and after the 1948 war.
I thought the war was started well over 1000 years ago when a new religion appeared in the world and took over numerous areas previously inhabited by practitioners of other religions such as Jews and Christians.
You may want to look at who colonized those lands during the last 300-400 years. You may also want to find out why the borders between many of these countries are made of straight lines and not defined by natural features or tribal borders instead.
The art of surveying made natural boundaries superflous, Better tools create a better world, how we choose to use those tools is a matter of wisdom and manipulation, usually by the richer and more educated, over those with less intelligence and or resources to withstand the manipulation.
we call this system, history.
go to gaza and tell people you’re Yazidi. Let us know what happens.
No one cares about the Palestinians. They elected and supported terrorist Hamas as their government and whose original charter stated “Death to Israel and death to Jews”. There is something in the bible about “reap what you sow” that you might want to ponder.
I don’t like Newsom and I live in California. He is enough to make me want to vote Republican which is saying a lot. So you can complain about all of his other policies. However there isn’t much you can do about wildfires in Southern California without basically stripping all of the vegetation off the hillsides. And then you would have to worry about landslides after rains.
So this is what should happen.
1) California should adopt NFPA 1140 (National Fire Protection Association Standard for Wildland Fire Protection) and try to create a fire resistant structure ignition zone (which is only 200′) around all housing developments whether it is on public or private property.
2) California should adopt the building requirements of NFPA 1140 in all new construction and strongly encourage (either through tax deductions, tax credits, cost sharing, etc.) of retrofitting of cost effective retrofits. These are usually fire resistant roofing, ember blocking attic vents, and ember blocking eave vents along with removing/reducing any ember collecting areas on the the roof.
3) California just recently removed (prior to the fires) most restrictions on insurance company setting home insurance rates. You could fault Newsom for not making this a priority to remove these restrictions because it actually increases the problem of fire destruction by keeping home insurance rates low. Every governmental insurance program ends in disaster (just like flood insurance) and actually increases the destruction.
4) Impose the possibility of the death penalty on those convicted of arson. There are always a few crazies that come out and try to start fires. We had one that started six fires within five miles of my home about ten years ago before neighbors finally caught him.
California is going to have to make some hard choices in their budget (actually not so hard if I was the one deciding) but politicizing the fires doesn’t help anyone when most people know nothing about which they are talking.
Just curious – what additional calamities would ensue if you actually voted Republican?
mean tweets, tons of mean tweets would ensue. hurt feelings, therapy animals are already in short supply. the ensuing devastation of the native therapy animals, would cause gangs to bring in non-native therapy animals like therapy alligators, therapy lions and elephants and of course therapy boa constrictors.
chaos ensues..
Just a Republican governor that was sane and not committed to the Republican party line. Basically a fiscal conservative and more moderate socially would fit California. Arnold was fine.
california should build nuclear desalination plants to supply fresh water for irrigation of hillsides to keep them from drying out.
Make L.A. a nice tropical jungle instead of a desert by the sea.
And what do we do with all the “waste” minerals that accumulate from the filtered water? This is always a problem with desalination plants.
Dumping the waste salts back into the ocean tends to kill off fish as they aren’t used to or can’t process the now more heavily laden “salt” water. Dumping on land pollutes the land and aquifers underneath.
As with nuclear waste, someone needs to drill a 1000 mile deep hole so we can dump wastes such as these salts and nuclear leftovers. Then it would be melted into the mantle of the planet.
However, one question would be how to keep the liquid rock from expanding out of the deep hole in the first place.
Now, if we had a space elevator, we could ship all wastes into space, where it would then be relatively cheap to launch them into the sun!
liquid rock occurs way before 1,000 miles depth. we have never drilled more than a few miles deep.
However all of your questions, though very good, are solveable. These are engineering questions, with actual systems already built, they are many designs that could be studied and adapted. Israel has several desalination plants as do several other nations.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek suggesting a tropical california, most could not tolerate the humidity and all it brings.
Fresh water however could be used for farming and drinking, and fire fighting. There is lots of empty desert in southern california that could be used for water storage, lakes could be made or refilled. There is a need very great there, but the minds of the population have been ensconsed in prisons of propaganda and can no longer speak of such things for they are high sins, calling for excommunication from the love and adoration of their communities. In the kingdom of feelings, it is suicide to offend the feelings of others.
That isn’t an issue. It is up to twice as concentrated than seawater and all they have to do is pipe it to the outfall and spread it with an eductor system. The volumes are quite low compared to the surroundings. And the lower the recovery ratio the lower the input energy although the capital costs increase.
No one irrigates hillsides anywhere. That is not feasible. Desalinated water costs over $2000/acre foot anyway.
not with nuclear power, atoms are free.. and abundant everywhere i look.
read my earlier reply, I was being what you young people refer to as
facetious /fə-sē′shəs/
adjective
Nope, Newsom caped the insurance companies rates. They looked at the risks and the rates and made the normal assessment and said good bye. Only idiots allow government policies to create hazards without concern for safety and ignore what experts, the insurance companies have to say, Blaming the insurance companies is what got California into this situation in the first place, the refusal to face reality.
Keep this up skippy. Its the reason California is becoming a third world shithole.
Hilarious LOL
If you don’t want to live in CA, good for you. I don’t live there either. But “a third world sh*thole”? What hubris!
https://www.gov.ca.gov/2024/10/18/californias-economy-continues-growing-creating-jobs/
he’s right about the shithole. I’ve lived there and visit annually for about 50 years, the decline is real.
The homeplace living on sidewalks and underpasses is a tableau out of India, you can watch it from the commuter bus that carries you from LAX to Union Station.
I am a CA native and lived here my entire life. I can confirm it is becoming a third world shithole compared to when I was a kid. The median or average GDP per capita does not reflect the dispersion, or variance, of this GDP in terms of distribution across population. The variance is quite high here with the highest percentage of population that is in poverty in CA in real terms. Like many third world shithole places, there are pockets of extreme wealth surrounded by much larger substandard, trashed areas. The quality of life in the SF Bay Area is atrocious compared to what is seen elsewhere in the US. Drive around Oakland suburbs, large swathes of San Jose, to see the actual quality of life experienced by these folks with supposedly higher GDP per capita who live in a squalid apartment complex or run down 70s SFH with trash and graffiti strewn everywhere, lack of infrastructure and road quality degradation, etc. to boot.
It was proposition 103 that passed which wasn’t a Newsom edict. However he could have campaigned against it or pushed for change.
Newsom’s chances of being elected President just went up in smoke.
nonsense, that man (nuisance-some ) is as tough as the epoxy gel holding his hair in place after a Santa Anna wind on a sunny January afternoon.
There should be a “Like” button for your own posts Mish – this is an excellent summation of the situation….
One can only imagine the cost to the US government because Biden has committed to the feds picking up the first 180 days of all the cost of everything . This is a federal government that is running a 1.5 trillion deficit per year . The cost of everything will be 5-10 times what they should be and money will circle back to fill the coffers of the very political group of incompetent dems that caused the problem in the first place . If I was Trump i would put a group to scrutinize all the money being handed out . This open money faucet will be abused to the 100th degree by these incompetent leaders. This was a parting gift from Biden to the dems of California and they will take every advantage of it . As the Dems say never let a good crisis go to waste . They will take this crisis as a opportunity for themselves . The money that will trickle down to help people in need will be minimal and the cost will be off the charts . Probably will be most costly disaster ever .
Kinda Like Joe did for NC.
Hurricane Helene damaged 7 states and many dozens of counties . These fires are affecting 1 or 2 counties it will eclipse that storm after all the inflated expenses are tallied up from a state like California where 3 million is the going rate for the houses effected by these fires .
we must save the rich. who deserve money more?
Do you want new movies or what?
if I had any wish, it would be for the scales to fall away from the eyes of the world and people begin to understand the world and their own lives.
failing that I’ll take another Preston Sturges movie.
True information is readily available via Google with a few seconds of search.
The states receiving the most FEMA aid in the past decade are Texas, Louisiana and Florida – hardly Democrat bastions: https://www.axios.com/2024/10/08/fema-direct-payments-state-recipients. They are the takers; the rest of us are the payers!
But it’s OK; I get a thank-you card from all three states for my ‘donations’ every year LOL
Come and talk to me after this firestorm is done and the totals are all added up Cali will move to number 1 . Heaven forbid they have a great earthquake that is going to happen that will be the big trillion plus disaster. Newsome has already hedged his bets saying this would likely be the most expensive disaster in US history in just 1-2 counties .
First, you have no clue what the federal government will end up providing to California in FEMA funds for this natural disaster (hubris?). No one does yet.
But the statistics show this will not be some “parting gift from Biden” as you originally posted. The federal government/Congress provides disaster funds to wherever a disaster arises in the US, under whatever President is there then.
It’s simply not a giant conspiracy
except Ohio, how many times did Joe Biden drop by East Palestine to check on things?
The problem is the division, we are all Americans, in normal times, we would all come together to face our common problems.
We have been split into factions, over the past 50 years, precisely to weaken our spirit and our nation.
who benefits? that is who is behind the problem we face by the collapse of our communities from the smallest to the largest.
What about the equity-based help in NC? Priority of illegals over American citizens in NYC vs. Maui? Please. The Democrats care only about illegals, blacks, and Israel.
It is self evident California government failed. Even if they spent all the money and more on fire departments, they failed. The state will require a federal bailout of hundreds of billions of dollars for one main reason: The state failed to reduce the buildup of brush that became the fuel for a firestorm.
If a YMCA had 20 swimmers drown at its pools, no one would defend the result by arguing how much was spent on lifeguards. But this is what apologists for California are doing. They are deflecting from the one thing that matters: The state failed to mitigate the risk of wildfires. And so wildfires came, as they always do in southern California, and this time the fires were especially damaging because nothing had been done to mitigate the risk.
It doesn’t require a federal bailout. Trump and the Republicans should tell CA to go pound sand. It’s not exactly a swing state, so fuck ‘em.
Yeah, but think about how big the federal budget deficit would be without all of the federal taxes CA resident pay in? On net, CA is a net giver compared to most of those ‘swing states’ that still want a military, Social Security, etc.
But, think of the MILLIONS of illegals (and now millions of children AND grandchildren) that Cali has invited into the country via their wide-open border, then subsidized and groomed over the last 3 decades who have migrated to other states and have thereby cost all taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars.
California can pound sand.
Pain is the teacher..
I don’t know what’s more sad, that you believe the lies you are fed from conspiracy sites or that you’re too ignorant to know you can Google this info for your own actual information
Border security with a foreign nation is specifically a NATIONAL issue, not a state responsibility or even ability (see Arizona v. US, 2012, etc.). If you don’t like illegal immigration, I think we all understand. But then to say CA is not a net giver in federal taxes v. expenditures (due to “their wide-open border”) is political and conspiratorial BS and hubris.
Be careful; that conspiracy stuff is bad for your health: https://apnews.com/article/pizzagate-gunman-dead-police-shooting-north-carolina-81f0383fb55587350576b8265b7b5dd5
Of course border security is a national issue, but the illegal immigration problem has been made much worse by “sanctuary” cities and states, whose policies are well known to immigrants and the NGOs that serve them. If every city/state advertised that they cooperate with ICE, that there is no aid (free stuff) for people coming in illegally, and that those rules are enforced, the situation for the country would be very different.
So I guess you’re admitting that walls and guns on the border won’t actually work as Trump trumpets as long as there are companies in America willing to hire immigrants?
Perhaps there is change in the wind?

A surprising immigration raid in Kern County foreshadows what awaits farmworkers and businesses
by Sergio Olmos
January 10, 2025
“If this is the new normal, this is absolute economic devastation,” says one local economist.
The Border Patrol conducted unannounced raids throughout Bakersfield on Tuesday, descending on businesses where day laborers and field workers gather. Agents in unmarked SUVs rounded up people in vans outside a Home Depot and gas station that serves a breakfast popular with field workers.
This appears to be the first large-scale Border Patrol raid in California since the election of Donald Trump, coming just a day after Congress certified the election on January 6, in the final days of Joe Biden’s presidency. The panic and confusion, for both immigrants and local businesses that rely on their labor, foreshadow what awaits communities across California if Trump follows through on his promise to conduct mass deportations.
…
https://calmatters.org/economy/2025/01/kern-county-immigration-sweep/
Well if you get your information from the MSM you are already wrong.
Yes, immigration is a national responsibility and by California being a sanctuary state and many of its cities and countries being sanctum entities that are all breaking Federal law.
By providing aid and money to illegal immigrants they are also in violation of Federal E and should all be prosecuted and be fined and jailed.
OK, lawyer-boy, you convinced me.
I can’t wait to see your amicus brief before a District or Supreme Court proving your case all such CA officials are guilty of breaking federal law.
Thanks for looking out for the rest of us peons
Great point, the net burden of illegals is in the hundreds of billions. Let alone the affirmative action impact on hardworking, more capable, deserving white and asian kids.
Gavin Newsome proves voting works, they voted him in and he gave them the jolly good rogering they asked for..
its kinda funny watching people complain that they got what they voted for.
Voting is a social event, not an exercise in higher brain function. Be generous.
He had a bit of a scare when he was recalled. You could tell he was worried for the first few weeks of the campaign but then the state Republicans, reinforcing their complete and total incompetence, having chosen a similarly incompetent black talk show host, watched any advantage they had from Newsom’s actions during the Covid scare evaporate.
Well, in order to get ahead in the state of California, you must hustle. This includes making sacrifices which people won’t do, saving money which people don’t do, work hard, take risks, invest, rent out a room, etc. Instead california breeds a type of American that is sheep like in that their dependency on tax payer funded handouts keep rolling in. Legalization of Marijuana adds fuel to the sheep like people I encounter in this state. Most people reading this comment are far from sheep because sheep wouldn’t bother reading mishtalk. They don’t read at all. There are weak and strong. Let the weak die off, let nature run is course, so manipulating the markets, just stop. The American dream is nearly dead in California.
Much of the forrest management money first went to consultants and engineers, and then some would trickle-down to CalFire and private contractors. The enviroNazis protest every project and would seemingly watch a forrest wiped-out by fire than concede that management is vital. There was a small Federal property I think in Mendocino County that they held up in court for like 20 years. The Mendocino Complex fire came through and leveled the priceless forrest. Bite off your nose to spite your face!
The role of environmental NGOs is under-reported. They work to increase the cost and time required to manage fuel loads.
Ask any AI to list the lawsuits NGOs have brought to oppose prescribed burns.
CA may have spent more money, but they haven’t actually gotten much done because of interventions by environmental NGOs.
As an added eff-you to humanity the environmental NGOs have worked to exclude bad air quality from forest fires from air quality regulations.
They force you to spend billions on higher electricity rates to improve already good air quality and do everything they can to prevent land management – the burning of which is the only real contribution to bad air quality in most of the western US.
How come we cannot create artificial rain to deal with this forest fire? Dubai can. We did it in Vietnam 75 years ago. We don’t have the cloud seeding technology or we don’t want to solve this fire today and keep playing games with life and property.
Looks like we need 65% to 75% humidity for cloud seeding to work
Smoke some more sea moss
If we had a real working “Space Force”, they could capture a comet and send it down towards LA. But since comets are mostly made of ice, the ice would melt as the comet traveled through the atmosphere and would drench the fires out. This is outside box thinking!
You’re welcome!
the trouble is comet’s have no brakes, so while it might put out the fires it would also take out most of the west coast.
Whenever the comet approaches the Sun, its speed will increase and often exceed 100,000 miles per hour due to Kepler’s Law.
but it would make a great movie…
I saw that movie. It wasn’t that great.
but the trailer rocked (literally)
No, the right sized comet would melt entirely in the upper atmosphere before hitting the planet. So LA (maybe all of CA and Mexico) would be drenched with billion year old virgin comet water!
I think you have a great marketing brand there. Trademark “Virgin Comet Water”.
Because, these fires were meant to happen.
Total breakdown, followed by Total Authoritarianism.
Agenda 2030..
Why did the state and local Gov allow homeless drug-addled, street-sh!tting Zombies to ruin the LA Downtown and Garment District?
Same reason..
Why do those same authorities allow the flood of illegals since the ’80’s?
Same reason.
Why do they make it so difficult for industry and businesses to exist?
Same reason.
yes, we still live in a universe where cause and effect rule. even though the media tells you not to beleive your own eyes, your own mind..
everything happens for a reason, even an “act of nature.”
filling the government with incomptents began long before DEI…
24Billion on homeless?? where did that go
Cheech and Chong made a documentary about where it went.
No, the money did not go “Up in Smoke”. It went into many pockets. CA is likely one of the most corrupt states.
But the weather is great.
‘Was great’ – fixed it for you…
You see it all over the streets of SF. Just don’t step on them.
You write below that “Most likely, it was the mass of homeless AID agencies because in CA, homelessness is an industry. There are 536 homelessness prevention organizations in CA according to this link” and later refer to this as a “boondoggle.”
And yet you take issue with my comment that the $24B went up in smoke? That seems contradictory. If the $24B has not gone “up in smoke,” what is there to show for it?
Are you saying that not all of the $24B was misspent on the Homelessness Industry?
“Spending” $24 Billion “on” the Homeless, isn’t even close to “Assisting the Homeless” with there “Homelessness Problem”
Gavin’s math may say the following: “If Gavin Pays a “Friendly Consultant” $1 Million, to draw him up a “Plan” to address the “Homeless Problem” Then Gavin has just “Spent $1 Million on the Homeless” See how this works…
Now multiply this by 1,000 of Gavin’s closest “Friendly Consultants” per se… And now Gavin will have “Spent Millions Upon Millions on the Homeless!!
How many $Billion were spent again? How many $1 Million “Friendly Consultants” does Gavin have! That’s how much “Needs to be Spent” if we wish to address the “Homeless” in California.
I think “After That” we can then “Assist” the Homeless, I think…
Since there are no homeless consultants, the plan worked.
But there are 700k DEI consultants and many, many companies getting tens of millions telling us why lesbos, drag queens, and losers must be hired. NJ used decided people with 6th grade reading abilities will be hired as teachers. Now what could go wrong with that?
Many are asking the same question. The answer seems to be a shoulder shrug.
Given that the Dems have a supermajority in the Legislature, no one in Sacramento politics will be investigating or reporting on whose pocket these $$$ flew off into.
Most likely, it was the mass of homeless AID agencies because in CA, homelessness is an industry. There are 536 homelessness prevention organizations in CA according to this link: https://www.causeiq.com/directory/homeless-service-providers-list/california-state/
Another boondoggle for politicians and their hanger-on’s here is “transit”. Did you know that we have over 100 transit agencies providing transportation services in California? The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing here.
When Newsom antes up for his run for US President, likely in 2028, DO NOT vote for him for any reason!
I am anti vampire. His mouth is smiling but his eyes are saying “I’m going to kill you”. Pretty sure he has zero chance nationwide. There’s no farking way that phony could carry any swing state.
He has 100% total support (think Kamala) of the Democrat Party! His family ties to Pelosi, who is clearly on Her way out I might add, but I digress… can open the door for another to follow.
They are truly like Ants, as they March lockstep with one another, down the chosen path for them! As the queen dies off, the replacement is already being groomed, and ready for action. They will all reconvene on the (ant) Hill, to discuss their next direction, and off they will go, lockstep once again.
It’s like watching a bad movie, just as you go to turn the channel off, as you have had just about enough idiocy for one night, and damn it, they come out with Part 2, 3, 4 & 5! Each Sequel Worse than the Original.
You can’t possibly make this shit up, as it’s so asinine to watch unfold. You have to wonder how stupid some people actually are… don’t give them a hammer, and tell them it feels good to whack themselves in the head, or they will literally die trying to feel good… Crazy Man!!!
just tell them its a “therapy hammer”, and they will line up for them. Download the “therapy Hammer App” from Goldenstate.ZEN.org and track your “Therapy Blows” and compare your results to friends and family and Celebritys…
Therapy Hammer is a registered trademark of Gavin Newsom and Therapy-R-Us. Results may vary, void where prohibitied or good sense prevails.
This will stake any further political advancement Gavin J Nepotism was hoping for!
See…..fire does purify!
Don’t be too sure, the Dems have hundreds of millions of phantom trolls, fairies, orcs, and vampires all residing at the 6th and main bathroom in MacDonalds who only vote on election day and are never seen till then. But the Dems tell us they are real. Besides they tell us they can’t have their photos taken bevcause you know, they supernatural and they can’t have their photos taken.
Up in smoke.
