More Biden Madness: Ask People on Census if They Are Slave Descendants

Biden Proposes New Census Question

Please note another ultra-Left mad proposal is underway: U.S. Considers Asking Black Americans on Census if They Are Slave Descendants

In a proposed update to how the government tracks Americans’ race and ethnicity, the Biden administration is asking the public for input on how it might go about differentiating Black people who are descendants of slaves in America from those whose families arrived more recently as immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean or other countries.

Supporters of the change say one reason they are pushing it is to quantify who would be eligible to receive reparations for slavery should the government ever agree to pay them.

The Biden administration has proposed combining existing race and ethnicity questions so that “Hispanic or Latino” would no longer be a separate question, but instead would be one of several choices on the race question. It has also proposed creating a new race question category for Americans of Middle Eastern or North African heritage.

In its proposed rule on those broader changes, the administration asked whether the term “American Descendants of Slavery” or “American Freedmen” would be the best terms to describe the group. Some have suggested the term “Foundational Black Americans.”

The White House’s Office of Management and Budget, which is spearheading the race-category overhaul, declined to comment on the idea.

Last Living Slave

Sylvester Magee (claimed May 29, 1841 – October 15, 1971) claimed to be the last living former American slave. If this claim were true, Magee would not only have been the last surviving American Civil War veteran, but the oldest recorded person to have ever lived.

Assuming the claim is true, the last slave died 52 years ago.

More realistically, assuming a very generous average age at death of 80 and not 130 years, nearly all slaves died 100 years or more ago. That means most of the direct descendants have passed as well.

Thus, we are talking about reparations to descendants of descendants of descendants all of which had the benefit of growing up in the greatest country on earth, with all of the associated benefits.

Questions Abound

Let’s give reparations to descendants of slaves, but let’s not even call them slaves, let’s call them “Foundational Black Americans,” muting the reason for the reparation.

And what percentage ancestry fits the bill? 5%, 10%, 50.01%?

Does an 88% descendent get twice as much as a 44% descendent? Was he or she twice as harmed? Harmed at all?

Do we have everyone take genetic tests or do we take people’s word for it? If a boy can proclaim to be a girl, can I proclaim to be black?

Does the process unite or further divide the United States?

San Francisco Board Unanimously Supports $5 Million Per Person Reparation Payments

On March 17, I noted San Francisco Board Unanimously Supports $5 Million Per Person Reparation Payments

I did the math based on the number of households in San Francisco. The price tag would be $192 billion. The city budget is $13 billion.

But note the bill did not pass. It was “supported” unanimously.

If the board actually approved this nonsense, I suspect everyone who voted in favor would immediately be voted out of office in special elections and the bill would be quickly struck down as unconstitutional.

Slave State Analysis

The 15 slave states were Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Elsewhere, people who never owned slaves would make payments to people who never were slaves in states that never had slaves.

Political Race Baiting

One cannot undo a wrong of 200 years ago by taking money from people who had nothing to do with the problem and solve the wrong by giving money to people who were never harmed in process.

Anyone sponsoring this idea knows reparations cannot possibly pass Congress.

Expense bills need to garner 60 votes in the Senate. And many Democrats would not stomach a vote for it. Reparations would be  dead on arrival.

Seriously Crazy?

The reparation idea seems seriously crazy. But is it?

Team Biden knows reparations will never pass. The proposal is nothing but race-baiting, virtue-signaling meant to further divide the United States.

Blacks will not benefit from this.

No one will benefit from this except perhaps the politicians who see a benefit in further dividing the county to enhance their political goals.

My friend’s DNA test says she is 2% black African, 1% Ashkenazi Jewish, and 97% white European. Presumably, she is the descendent of an American slave who lived long, long ago.
Does this mean she owes herself reparations?

If you look at The War Between The States as a South/North Central Bank War, but also a Proxy War of European Central Banks; the answers become more clear. The final Abolition of slavery weather physical or financial has been of slow forward progress.

No to reparations on slavery its been too long. No slave or their child is alive.
I would consider supporting reparations for living people who were forced to attend segregated schools in their youth.

But wait, in the early 1900s, Italians were being killed in the US with impunity (and with Teddy Roosevelt’s blessing). So I want some serious reparations.

The definition of slave is : ‘a person held in forced servitude’.
For some 30 years I worked five days a week and was forced to hand over Federal taxes (not including other payments for social security etc)) equal to one-and -half days a week. I figure that qualifies me as a 30% slave of the USA. Even retired, I am still a slave.

This would be a modern case of blood crimes where people are punished for their people’s ancestors deeds.
Forget the millions that showed up/ immigrants after the war of Northern aggression but don’t forget the thousands who were freed and owned slaves. Slave ownership was a status symbol to many in the day.
Then there is the supply chain from Africa. The Muslims that captured and sold their enemies must pay as well as the countries that shipped the slaves here.
This is the victimhood lobby in at full throttle. It is all wrong.

3% of southerners owned slaves. Kamala Harris’ grandfather owned slaves in the Islands. Australian Aboriginees were enslaved into the 1960s (yes 100 years later). All pretty confusing … especially since some of the slave owners were black, and the slave ships didn’t go over and hunt down free blacks. They traded for slaves that the existing tribes had captured and were happy to sell for those thunder sticks.

Sadly, America has become a joke. Slogans replace logic in a dumbed down, instant gratification culture. It’s all Orwellian:
War is peace,
Freedom is slavery,
Diversity is our strength
As the sun sets on the woke, hyper-moralistic West,
It rises on the sober and practical China and Russia.

You should watch the movie “Harrison Bergeron”. Screenplay by Kurt Vonnegut. Mix it up with 1984 and Brave New World, and Atlas Shrugged. Pretty much where we’re at now. While I disagree with Ayn Rand on many things; she had the entitled mindset down. But we should all be our own John Galt.

Besides expressing our revulsion at such a ridiculous proposition, maybe we should be looking at if the city of San Francisco will actually vote the payments. If not then all our talk is basically mutually click baiting and we can put it down to a city already one of the weirdest in the world doing a really weird thing but pulling back when it comes to taking such a large sum out of their collective pockets. For the moment this us the case. An unelected municipal commission recommends something impossible.
The reality is something else. If you look at the proposed restrictions you can see some interesting characteristics.
In the report they propose that the payments would have some restrictions.
1) a person would have to be at least 18 years old and have identified as “Black/African American” in public documents for at least 10 years.
2) having been born in or migrating to San Francisco between 1940 and 1996 and living in the city for least 13 years; being displaced from the city by urban renewal between 1954 and 1973, or the descendant of someone who was; attending the city’s public schools before they were fully desegregated.
These restrictions limit by a lot how many would qualify. It would limit it enough that the payment could conceivably be made if it could be be, through negotiation, modified down enough so that non-black San Franciscans could sign on. It goes without speaking that the majority of the panel would qualify for payments. I see this as a departure point for negotiations since the price is absurdly high. It is an attempt to get the population to concede the point that reparations are justified in principle. Once that is established it then becomes a question of price as in any negotiation. Replicate the panel in many different cities to give the illusion of public support to increase your bargaining position and then it suddenly becomes serious instead of a bad joke.
Something like that works well in states like California and a few others but even then there are limits. The city council has to actually vote the money and the city can’t afford it so it won’t get done. How the council will manage to approve of what the panel, which they had appointed, recommend and not act on its recommendations because they are impossible. I wonder how well they can tap-dance.

Here’s something we can look forward to in the next decade:
The population of people with nothing useful to do will be getting older in the next few years, what with boomers retiring and all.
Figure old people with nothing good to do will cause far less trouble in the world than young people with nothing to do.
So, expect less crime and crazy things like this “reparations”. Throw “The world owes me a living wage” in to the crazy bucket, too.

There are ~ 42,000,0000 blacks in the USA. Given the current mind-boggling, proposed reparations amount of $7,500,000 out in CA, that grand totals to $31.5T. And, I think in SFO they’re wanting something like $96,0000 annual basic income on top of the BIG freaking check which the IRS will probably not tax.
That sounds totally doable!

Racine, Milwaukee, Flint, Detroit, Rochester, Erie, South Bend, Cleveland, Chicago, Stockton…….the list goes on, are are all examples of Yankee benevolence to American Blacks. I have noticed that people North of the Massie-dixon line have made little improvement in their humanity and those South of the Massie-Dixon line have made many. Southerners are more likely to wish someone to go to Heaven, and Yankees much more likely to wish or cause someone to go to hell. The World Hive City of Financialized oppression even named their sports team after Northerners. Go figure.
“The march of Providence is so slow and our desires so impatient; the work of progress so

The fact that the country fought a huge war over slavery with the highest death count in US history negates this whole premise. Reparations would be by the Confederate States where it was legal and the confederate US is gone. Plenty of people already paid reparations with their lives fighting over this and illegalizing it

The war wasn’t “over slavery” any more than climate change is about atmospheric CO2 concentration.
States’ rights vs. Federal doctrine, agrarian vs. manufacturing, financial sector vs. agricultural sector, et cetera. Distilling a complex issue down to a single factor obfuscates the subject to an unreasonable degree. It leads to erroneous conclusions like Lincoln ‘freeing the slaves’ with the Emancipation Proclamation when in 1863 there were no slave-holding states in the U.S.A..

Reparations issues:
1. What do we do with folks who are partially black (like Barrack Obama and Colin Kaepernick)
2. What about folks whose black side were never slaves (like Barrack Obama or Kamala Harris whose grandfather owned slaves)
3. How do we test for slavery links when it is racist to ask them for ID
4. The average American household earns $42,000. Beyonce and LeBron each make over $50M. Do we really want to tax the $42,000 family to fund the $50M family
5. As we add gays and trans to reparations list, what other groups should we consider for reparations
6. Does $31T in debt and nearly $200T in unfunded liabilities factor into the reparations discussion
7. Do the hundreds of thousands of union soldiers who fought to free the slaves get any discount on the extortion of their descendants
8. Many non-blacks have no ancestors who owned slaves (only 3% of the people in the south before the war owned slaves … and some of the slave owners were black) … will they be taxed anyway to pay for reparations
9. Most slave trade was white crews going over and buying the slaves from black slave traders (usually one slave per rifle). Will the black slave traders who came to the US also get reparations
10. 3 million blacks have come to this country in the last 20 years (vs 340,000 who came to the US as slaves). It is highly unlikely that these folks descend from American slaves … how do we identify that these folks should not get reparations.

We are living through a major change of paradigm which might go on for another 100 years before we finally collapse into obscurantism and dark ages. Progress is not a given in the unfolding of history.
For any amateur of history, this period is very similar to what the Romans were going through when first Christians started to appear with their open war on common sense. You had to be crazy to believe that a virgin gave birth and Jesus raised back from the dead, but believe they did in the end and the dark ages followed.
All such periods are marked by war on common sense and reality, like man can get pregnant and you can identify as whatever you want, MMT and other idiocies. They will win in the end because our civilization is ripe for collapse. And it will collapse hard, slowly at first then suddenly.

A good friend of mine just filled out an application for employment at a large bank. One of the questions asked her if she identified as a veteran. It never asked if she actually was one.
Why does it matter what you identify as? What is wrong with everything?
Anyways I recently did some research on genetics and it’s crazy that almost 75% of everyone in the USA is of mixed race. In other words People of Color. I highly suggest getting a genetics test done and sending it in from a friend’s address so nothing can be used directly against you in the future. There is a high probability that you are black. Even if it’s only .05%. If you didn’t know it and you have lived in the US your whole life, then that means you would qualify. Don’t forget that the term slavery originated from the Slavs. Considering that Slavs are the largest European ethnolinguistic group, even if you are white there is a high probability you are a descendent of slavery.
