King Deal is now in command of all deals globally.
US to Hike Tariffs on India
Bloomberg reports Trump Says US to Hike India’s Tariffs Over Russian Oil Buys
President Donald Trump said he would be “substantially raising” the tariff on Indian exports to the US over New Delhi’s purchases of Russian oil, ramping up his threat to target a major trading partner.
“India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Monday. “They don’t care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA.”
Trump’s post did not specify by how much he would raise the levy. Trump last week announced a 25% rate on Indian exports, shocking New Delhi after months of negotiations failed to secure a breakthrough. He also threatened more duties if India continued to buy oil from Russia.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi — who has had warm relations with Trump in the past — responding to the US president’s threat by urging Indians to buy local goods and signaling that his administration will continue to buy Russian oil.
“The targeting of India is unjustified and unreasonable,” said India’s Ministry of External Affairs in a social media post later on Monday, accusing the EU and US of trading with Russia when it is “not even a vital national compulsion.”
The officials said “India’s imports are meant to ensure predictable and affordable energy costs to the Indian consumer” and called them a “necessity compelled by global market situation.”
Modi has been reluctant to open up sensitive sectors like agriculture and dairy to the US. India restricts imports of dairy because of rules around animal feed, which can’t be eased because of religious sensitivities.
New World Order Is Complete
As of today, the new world order is complete.
Trump gets to approve every deal between every nation in the world, for a price set by Trump.
If Sudan wants to buy Brazilian wheat, it needs to ask His Majesty.
What’s the Result?
India will move closer to Russia, China, and Iran.
Amusingly, Apple’s decision to assemble more iPhones in India from China, will now likely head back to China.
Canada is building a pipeline to its West coast because Asia is a more reliable trading partner than the US.

And Trump repeats his idiotic rhetoric “I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA.”
Yeah, right.
Meanwhile, China has a stranglehold on rare earth minerals needs for US weapons systems, microchips, turbines, and EVs.
Yet, Trump foolishly threatens China on Russian oil too.

Trump threatened China with tariffs for doing business with Russia. Guess what?
What a hoot.
Oh, I almost forgot May 2, 2018, Donald Trump “Trade Wars Are Good and Easy to Win.”

Cyber crimes are up 33% OVER $16 billion so far thanks to Ai involvement and set up. No one goes to jail, no one gets caught and the year ain’t over yet. Thanks to Crypto Trump.
India is danger of its US Treasury Holdings of about $ 230 Billion FROZEN!
Then they will recall all the H!B workers and get even.
BRICS+ are crushing it.
1.4 billion people that is about 230 usd, not sure what it is in Rupees, per person.
Under 1 usd a day for a year to break even but US loses more in the long run.
This is one of my favorite stories
“Czar Samuil of Bulgaria dies after an army of 15,000 of his men is returned, blinded by his enemy Emperor Basil of the Byzantine Empire. One out of every hundred of his men was permitted to keep one eye, such that they were able to return home. For this victory Basil earned the title Bulgaroctonus, slayer of Bulgars.”
Horrible right all those blind men that their FAMILIES HAD TO CARE FOR. That could not produce anything and were all breading age peasants.
How many decades of economic damage was done by that act? How many decades of military or at least border security was established via a single stroke?
US is barely 200 years old. India what 5k? China? Russia? Politically and economical they have been viable for nearly ten times the US.
anyone freezing assets will be burned economically in the long run.
It is a VERY big world with a lot of very angry nations and people just frothing to get even.
How long would it take BRICS+ to totally devalue the dollar and claim some of that US land back? How many bases are there?
The US has minimal power now and even less tomorrow.
That’s called a default. Every foreign holder would sell as fast as they could. Hope you like 15% interest rates on US treasuries.
“And Trump repeats his idiotic rhetoric “I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA.” Oh my!
The US Importers are the ones that pay Tariff for goods from any Foreign Nation!!!
Can we just get to the part where Trump nukes Mumbai because in his words they are being a “bad dog?” All this performative theater has grown tiring
Then who would take the worlds e-waste?
Domestically, the US becomes a velvet-rope economy only hospitable to the rich, because the world circumvents the USA. Luckily the rich will have Trump-enabled pipelines for money (as well as kleptocratic money from elsewhere), so THAT will flow readily.
I’m not certain the rich are all that safe anymore on US shores, Janey got a gun now.
Guns are old news… a high speed, laser guided drone grenade is pretty much unstoppable if one ventures outdoors.
And which gamer is willing to get off his ass to operate that.
Recently there was another high ranked business guy murdered but it doesn’t seem to get the airplay as the last two.
I’m waiting for the Luigi t shirts to replace the Che ones.
China and India are shipping goods and providing services to the US in return for illegal and unlawful digital numbers on a screen known as FRNs (also known as fake and worthless dollars). And they are willing to pay tariffs for the privilege. How stupid is that?
Thank God for these idiots. It’s making life so much easier for us here.
There are no limits to human depravity.
China and India are getting a large discount from Russia and Iran. Both India and
China export goods to the US. If Ukraine war cont ==> tariffs on India and China will
rise. China and India will have to pay higher tariffs to Trump. The discount will flow from: Putin to Modi and Shi and from them to Trump. That the money flow. To escape it Putin has to stop the war in Ukraine. Putin is under a growing pressure from Trump, Modi and Shi. Both have to feed 3 billion people. Trump, the custom agent, has the lever to stop the blood shed in Ukraine. CNOOC, CNPC, BP in Brazil and TMX in Canada are a new threat to Putin and Iran dominance.
China doesn’t pay Trump a red cent. Your reductionist approach to your opinion as fact posts are good entertainment
Double plus good!
O was bitched at for using that.
Gonna have to grow a thicker skin.
I got that play on words PAY A RED CENT from CHINA, RED CHINESE.
Slicker than snot on doorknob.
I would love to hear the snide remarks in the room when foreign leaders prepare for Trump or his negotiating team to enter.
Trump is the laughing stock of the world at this point.
Why would any nation give a shit what Trump says or does? He can not negotiate in good faith or refrain from arrogant bullying. All nations are uniting to five Trump the finger and tell him to shove hid “deals” up his ass.
He is a confessed pedophile that traffics young girls and only a fool would want to be associated with him.
F*ck Trump and his merry band of perverts and sycophants.

Well put. I voted for this miscreant thinking he was the lesser of two evils. Now it’s clear. I will NEVER vote for Democrats or Republicans. NO to the uniparty.
Vote for any other party and change the system. But vote to preserve our republic (which is also a limited democracy).
Hear Hear, I voted “red or blue” this time and was also made the fool. Neither party has anything of value to me, save for their money, but they work to take that from us so F them.
Voting red or blue is the lazy American’s way. Looking at every candidate for every office is time consuming and requires more thought than most Americans are willing to give. Our election systems and media are rigged to continue our current system into total collapse. Our only hope is to change the system, unfortunately this will require hardship and probably a lot of blood.
BP just made its largest oil discovery in 25 years!
But it is offshore Brazil and yes, it will be sold to China since Trump has driven them together as trading partners. Both economies are growing significantly given their new trade together.
The new Canadian LNG export facility? Yes Mr Trump, its exports are contracted for 20 years to China.
Three new oil export pipelines heading to the Canadian west coast? Instead of that inexpensive oil going to its former ally the US, it is going to China and India.
Who does Trump work for?
>
Trump has never been afraid to cut off his face to spite his nose
Russia
Modi’s India has been pro-US and pro-Trump, given that Modi’s party in India is a right-wing, pro-US party. This is not like the olden days of Nehru and Indira Gandhi who were left-of-center and not all that friendly (but not hostile either), towards the US and the West in general.
However, this is a bridge too far for even the pro-Trump Modi and his party. I still think they will largely fold so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. After all, it is not for nothing that India is often said to be the “weakest link” in the BRICS alliance.
Importers pays tariffs to a custom agent. They haggle for a discount from suppliers. Since both China and India need oil and Putin have to sell oil to finance his war, they will have to pay the custom agent ==> Trump. How much and when: they don’t know. Trump threatened to “substantially” increase tariffs, not an explicit tariff rates, and not when, especially on India which buys oil at a discount and take profit. Trump already imposed 25% tariff on India. All four understand each other very well
You say that US customs is collecting tariffs on Russian oil shipments to China and India? How is Russia remitting the money to US customs?
block that commenter michael engel and your experience on this blog will increase dramatically.

so , Russia and china 2 countries who have biggest land border, would pay to some agent for oil shipment , and this agent WOULD TRANSFER MONEY TO USA?
are you for real? do you even how stupid you are?
i think you are just trolling mo1ron here!
The Trump Doctrine. “IF YOU DON’T DO AS I SAY, I’M GOING TO TAX MY CITIZENS!” Thank you for your attention in this matter. Haha
Brilliant!
Has that “Blazing Saddles” quality…
LOL, exactly
TM competes with Russian, Iranian and Gulf states oil. TM oil will end up in the US west coast, besides a few crumbs from China to aggravate Trump. MBS, Putin and the Ayatollah will cannibalize TMX oil. Gavin: thanks Pierre and Carney. Sudan needs help from Trump . After two years of civil war RSF forces surrounded Al Fashir in western Sudan. 900,000 people have no food and water. They are getting killed daily by bombardments and starvation. Genocide in Sudan. Dems caricaturists: stupid, ignorant, bs, idiots.
Asian buyers of TMX oil so far include China, India, South Korea, Japan and Brunei. They all like the idea of a relatively stable source in the current unstable environment. Though at only 900,000 bpd, it cannot replace a lot of the oil that already heads to the region. Those 5 countries import a total of 23 mbpd. If Canada adds more pipeline capacity as Carney is promising, there is a big market there to be tapped into.
Trump’s behaviour will be corrected by stock and bond markets in a few months time but in a chaotic ways such as sacking of chief statistician.
Winning friends and influencing nations. He’s a regular Dale Carnegie.
For those who missed this in a previous thread:
Hahahaha! No wonder Doug thinks other countries are paying tariffs to US customs. Because Trump says so.
“ Canada is building a pipeline to its West coast because Asia is a more reliable trading partner than the US.”
Yep.
Canada recently tripled the capacity of the Trans Mountain Pipeline to it’s west coast from 300,000 bpd to 900,000 bpd. It is considering further capacity increases of another 200,000 to 300,000 bpd.
This allowed Canada to increase oil shipments to Asia from 25,000 bpd to 360,000 bpd. This oil fetches higher prices than what Canada gets from oil sold to the US. So you can expect more of this oil to go to Asia instead of the US.
In addition, Canada just completed a pipeline to it’s new LNG facility on it’s west coast. This LNG facility is in the process of ramping up production from the current 50% rate to 100%. Shipments to Asia are already beginning.
Canada has 3 more LNG facilities under construction.Along with the pipelines to feed them. Destination Asia.
This is what most countries throughout the world are doing in response to Trump’s tariff war. They are increasing trade with each other.
One of the huge benefits of finally getting rid of Turdeau who blocked all oil and gas development due to his nutty greenness. If Canada hadn’t wasted a decade with him in power all these things would already have been completed long ago.
Yep. But better late than never. As Carney keeps saying; “Canada can do far more for itself than Trump can take away.” I think that he has reduced trade barriers between their provinces and is working on a lot of trade deals with other countries.
It is. But unfortunately a lot of other countries are ramping up selling LNG (like the USA) too. Canada would have owned the market if they had the facilities up and running 3+ years ago when Europe for example really wanted an alternative source to Russia (or even American) gas.
All true. But no point dwelling on the past. Better that Canada export “some” oil and gas to countries other than the US. It’s good for my Canadian oil and gas stocks.
It will be a continuing issue for the US as we finally rid ourselves of Trump and MAGA our former allies and trading partners will have moved on. These new alliances abandoning the US will injure us now and well into the future.

Unfortunately Quebec is still nixing any pipelines or tankers from going through their territory.
That’s Trudeau pops fault.
What does Fidel Castro have to do with it?
Historically, Quebec has opposed major pipeline projects, especially oil pipelines like Energy East, which was cancelled in 2017 due to environmental concerns and public resistance.
However, recent economic pressures and U.S. tariff threats have prompted the province to reconsider a previously scrapped liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipeline project known as LNG-Québec.
Here’s what’s happening:
• 🔄 LNG-Québec Revival? The Quebec government is now open to revisiting the 780-kilometre natural gas pipeline from northern Ontario to Saguenay, where gas would be liquefied and shipped overseas.
• 🌿 Environmental Criteria Still Apply: Quebec’s Environment Minister emphasized that any revived project must meet stringent environmental standards — the same ones that led to its rejection in 2021.
• 🐋 Opposition Remains Strong: Environmental groups and many politicians continue to oppose the project, citing threats to beluga whales and increased greenhouse gas emissions B.
• 🛢️ Oil Pipelines Still Off the Table: While LNG is being reconsidered, Quebec remains firmly against oil pipelines, maintaining its rejection of Energy East.
Which is why all new Canadian export terminals have been on the west coast so far.
Wrong. Kinder Morgan abandoned TMX. Pierre bought it for $4.5B in 2018 and completed it in May 2024, after dealing with Indian Tribes in western Canada. Pierre didn’t want to rely on one customer which can dictate conditions and prices. That’s exactly what I told a Canadian big shot, a few days before Trudeau took over the project. He completed it. His father didn’t. China laughed at Trudeau pops: u are too slow, we can do it faster, much faster.
To be clear, it was Justin in 2018, he is the son. His dad Pierre has been dead a long time.
yes.
U don’t know. Canadian oil is selling at a discount due to low quality, shipping cost and competition with Putin, Iran and MBS. The Gulf of Trump produce more oil in 2025 than in 2024.
Ok. Don’t tell me. I’m good with that. Particularly if it has to do with aliens from outer space.
Don’t exlude the Lizard People or Illuminati. You’ll get thrown in a secret DEI prisin.
ha ha ha. which energy stocks do you like here, papa dave. i’ve appreciated your willingness to share you stock picks. i made some dough on your recommendations. i recently bought Reddit and MSFT and VOO in past few months. and of course gold bullion in hand.
My favorite energy stocks over the next few months are all Canadian because I think Canada’s new export capacity will boost Canadian oils: Whitecap, Tamarack, Cenovus, Canadian Natural, Tourmaline, Surge, Peyto, Arc and Nuvista. Some have recently dropped (like Tourmaline and Cenovus) and are real bargains so I bought quite a lot of those two in the last few days.
I do trade a lot so my picks could be very different in a few weeks.
Hope that helps.
Lol! I know a lot more than you do!
Canadian oil being exported from Canada’s west coast has been selling at a $2-$6 discount to Brent.
Canadian oil being sold in the US is being discounted $13 to Brent. So it’s a win for Canada to export to Asia.
Asian buyers so far include China, India, South Korea, Japan and Brunei.
The spread between Brent and WTI is $3. So, TMX is selling in India at
WTI @$65/ $70. Fortune India reports that WCS is selling at $10/$15 discount to brent. Cold Lake Blend is $10 below Basra to China. Basically: MBS, Putin and the Ayatollah will cannibalize TMX, a new competitor. CLB will be sold to US west coast refineries.
India and China are getting a substantial discount from Russia and Iran. They will not pay $65/$70 for TMX.
Lol! They already have.
Glad to know that you have the inside scoop personally from Putin and the Ayatollah.
You keep harping on the same line that companies are not eating part or whole of the tariff but are passing it on integrally to the consumer. That is the textbook view taught by a generation of university economists and taken as gospel by people such as you. However anyone who has had to deal with taxes and tariffs on a company level know that that is not true but is only a theoretical construct made to help prove a theoretical point. If you ask anyone who actually does have to deal with international taxes and tariffs they will tell you that sometimes you have to assume part or whole of the extra cost in order to keep doing business. May I suggest you not take my word but talk to someone who actually does international trade and business and see what they say. If you do not know anyone maybe you have a friend who does and can set you up. A friend of a friend of a friend is an excellent way to find the person you need for specific information, networking if you prefer that term. That way you can see for yourself.
I suggest you watch this video, start at the 8 minute mark but it’s worthy to watch the whole thing. And this guy is a big Trump/MAGA supporter.

Nope. I never said anything of the sort.
All I ever said was that foreign countries do not pay tariffs to US customs. And you said they did.
It’s simple. You are wrong. And now you are making things up that I never said to try to justify your ineptitude.
So go f*ck yourself.
bully bully
That is true. I did a lot of international trade in my previous life! I still think it’s insanity what Trump does!
What a clown we have leading our country. It is the cult of the idiots, with the idiot in chief always singing out of tune and his complicit lackeys singing along like their in tune. They will bring our economy and country to its knees. Who knows what comes next.
Continue to call his supporters idiots (deplorables, garbage). Works well to lose elections. If you want to win focus only on the policy and leave American citizens and voters out of it. I’m also curious what brand of military or foreign policy you’d favor to end Ukraine/Russia that doesn’t involve the Democrats approach of infinite money and weapons supplied to Ukraine that has proven to be 100% financial loss. I mean it’s not like your guy/gal did anything to improve it either right?
That which can’t go on forever won’t, including bad trade policy, wars, etc. Just do like Papa Dave and MPO45v2 and keep counting your money, planning your escape to greener pastures and looking for ways to profit while blogging on how poor the President is. Judging by the stock market–which is not to be the method of weighing the goodness of public or foreign policy but ’round here it appears to be–then things are as rosy as they’ve ever been. Culturally I think there was a welcomed reset but financially all I see is more debt-financed profiteering.
Until and unless the financial, housing and job markets turn significantly lower, the laments and gnashing of teeth mostly will fall on deaf ears.
I see a debt and energy crisis ahead and yet we love our cryptos and are building masive AI centers. Still wondering where the power comes from and how long before shitcoins stop getting the love relative to their electricity demand when we have to decide if we can heat our homes or if we can mine more bitcoin, whose use in any transaction in any of my inner circles’ lives still registers a big fat zero! Everyone, however, needs to heat/cool their home. That day/conversation is a comin’.
Still, my point was to caution against insulting the electorate as that hasn’t worked. Now the President and his policies are fair game.
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” (H.L. Mencken)
one of my favorite quotes. so accurate. dovetails with “republic of plato” analysis and warning of idiots who are allowed to vote.
ps look up idiotes as the greeks used the term.
That’s so correct, we can blame just ourselves!!!
If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Doesn’t matter if the duck thinks it’s an eagle… it’s still a a duck.
These idiots are going to be idiots to the end. Best to make an example of them as a warning to people teetering on the edge of idiocy. They’ll never catch on anyway, and will retain their self image as special snowflakes that the world has done wrong.
Trump didn’t win the election because his supporters were called names. Trump won because people were angry at their personal situation. The question to ask now is if you’re better off now or not?
If you hate woke, DEI and immigrants then maybe you’re slightly happier but I suspect most people’s financial situation (housing, inflation, insurance, etc) has gotten worse. Sure there’s a few winners out there that benefit from tariffs but the majority will be worse off over time and we all know it.
There is no fixing this mess so you have to decide if you’re going to stay through the misery or exit to greener pastures. It’s a simple calculus that each person needs to decide for themselves.
Over time, after many defaults, chaos and crying things will get better but that may take a decades.
All you have to do is decide what to do with the time given to you.

Interesting points. I will add some info about energy. There is a near 100% correlation between energy consumption, economic growth, and standards of living. And every year, more and more of this energy consumption is in the form of electricity. As you say AI data centers, crypto etc.
In 2024 the US added 38 GW of new electricity generation capacity (30 solar, 3 wind, 5 natgas). China, by comparison added 477 GW of new electricity generation (277 solar, 80 wind, plus hydro, nuclear, coal and natgas).
China is currently building 29 new nuclear plants which will add 33 GW of capacity. And plans for 30 more. The US is currently building zero.
I wonder which economy will grow faster. China with 477 GW of new capacity or the US with 38 GW.
We called them garbage in 2020 and they lost, and it will happen again.
Long live the king!
This is DEMOCRACY.
Democracy choose their leader who is the winner of the debate but not by their merit.
While Donald Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy, six separate corporations associated with his business empire have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection between 1991 and 2009.
Scary, isn’t it?
This is real possibility – he might bankrupt USA.
He is the businessman.
He also runs the country like his business.
He doesn’t care whatever, whatever happen to his share holders or business partners.
He himself make profit and came out on top.
This is exactly what he is doing now.
I don’t know USA will come out on top or only he himself.
He’s not a businessman… he’s an heir to a fortune he greatly diminshed despite all his criminal enterprises.
He’s a moron with delusions of grandeur.
Nah. The Fed is doing a great job at that. End the Fed
We’ve officially arrived at “Idiocracy”
Trump not only wants to be the US dictator but also the world dictator.
What a deranged and misguided piece of work.
At this time, Nutless Republicans would like everyone to endlessly chant the mantra: Kamala would have been worse, Kamala would have been worse, Kamala would have been worse….
Guaranteed. She would. She can count her lucky stars that she was not in on the fubar from Hillary; emails; Obama; Clapper; Comey; et al. This is gonna be great. Grease up the popcorn 🍿. This had better be a shitstorm. Years in the making. “Finally, The Rock has come. “. The Decade of reckoning. Hallelujah. Let the traitors face their crimes.
Gitmo??? Is it still open?
I thought it was funny that the headline this morning when CNBC started reporting this was “Pres. Trump will be substantially raising the tariff paid by India to the USA.” Regurgitating something the White House released no doubt rather than saying restating it along the lines of “Trump raises tariff charged on Indian imports.” But yes, India will be charged the tariff. ‘mkay.
I’m glad he’s raising tariffs on India. Let’s make things here.
All of you are so worried abut tariffs. They are just an import tax. No more important than any other tax. They disadvantage foreign produced products. The impact is tiny. That’s why the market is still near highs, inflation has remained low and investment in the US is growing.
The impact will be a one time adjustment that might cost a tiny fraction of GDP and likely is offset by tax cuts and regulatory reforms.
The sky isn’t falling!!
Yes. Let’s make things here. Like cars and trucks.
But let’s put tariffs on the auto parts, batteries, steel, aluminum, copper, graphite etc that our auto companies import. That is going to make them even less competitive than they already are compared to foreign manufacturers. So we will make even fewer cars and trucks because they will be uncompetitive.
We grow a lot of cotton. Perhaps we could make yarn from it, and knit trucks.
Sounds comfy.
Trump may as well require every person on earth to wear a special mark to conduct trade so that everyone can demonstrate their loyalty and obedience.
Where have I heard that before?
When is that tariff court going to pull Trump’s pants down?
South Park did it.
Covid vaccine cards (not necessarily the vaccine itself) were the closest thing we’ve had to ‘the mark’ in modern history. It certainly crossed my mind at the time that it qualified as such especially because it was a world-wide thing.
no mark, no entry to many places during 2020 and 2021
And your driver’s license, concealed carry license, and credit cards arent?
The thing about the vaccine card was that it was voluntary. That’s what makes it pretty close to ‘the mark’ described in Revelations. You basically had the free will to accept or reject it. Millions of people put their faith in ‘science’ and bowed down to authoritarianism by taking it.
All of those are voluntary.
Speaking of “science”…
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’ has banned thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative, found in common vaccines. Kennedy stated that the chemical is a known neurotoxin that has been administered to millions of Americans.
The former director of the FDA, Willian Egan, admitted in 2001 that the safety of this preservative had never been studied. The government simply allowed the pharmaceutical agencies to incorporate it in vaccines to extend their shelf lives.
PubMed and PubChem, as Kennedy stated, have published countless peer-reviewed studies citing thimerosal as a known carcinogen and neurotoxin.
Trump should focus on solving problems instead of creating problems.
Well he needs to ensure he is the headline everyday so we get lots of news but not many solutions. Unfortunately it will take a stock or bond market shock to slow down the chaos and that is slow in coming.
Wait till the fall. I expect things to get really bad in the 4th quarter.
So far may-July has been 3 straight months of 20+ billion in tariffs collected. That is approximately 75 a person (340 million x 75 = 25.5 billion) or 300 a month for a family of 4 in loss of purchasing power.
A lot of that won’t be through yet (ie cars take months to get made and on dealer lots same with other items like washers/dryers, TVs, couches etc) but by the 4th quarter a whole lot will be (clothes, XMas stuff etc) and the big ticket items will start being felt by then too.
Even if foreign companies pick up some of tariffs (a real best case) it’s still going to be a drag of 200 a month on purchasing power.
I read somewhere that if the courts find Trump over-reached on the tariffs the US government will have to pay back those tariff monies to corporations that paid them. The corporations are unlikely to return any of that money to the consumer so guess who wins from this whole fiasco?
Since courts will know that I suspect it won’t find to the degree that the government has to pay back the monies and thus fatten the profit margins of those companies. That would make the courts very unpopular.
The only problem he’s concerned about is the Epstien problem, and that’s not going away.
president pederast cannot outrun his past as best buddies with pedophile serial blackmailer epstone
