It was inevitable Trump would blame others. And how soon is very soon?

Trump Advisers Urge Him to Find Iran Exit Ramp, Fearing Political Backlash
The Wall Street Journal reports Trump Advisers Urge Him to Find Iran Exit Ramp, Fearing Political Backlash
WASHINGTON—President Trump said he was eyeing a quick end to the war in Iran, as some of his advisers privately urged him to look for an exit plan amid spiking oil prices and concerns that a lengthy conflict could spark political backlash.
Some of Trump’s advisers in recent days have encouraged him to articulate a plan to extract the U.S. from the war and make the case that the military had largely achieved its objectives, according to people familiar with the matter. While many in the president’s conservative base still support the initial operation, some of the president’s advisers have privately expressed concerns that a longer war could deplete that support.
“This story is full of crap from anonymous sources who, I can guarantee, are not in the room with President Trump,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “The president’s top aides are focused 24/7 on ensuring Operation Epic Fury continues to be a tremendous success, and the end of these operations will ultimately be determined by the commander in chief.”
Some of Trump’s advisers watched with alarm as oil prices shot to over $100 a barrel. They have also fielded calls about the midterm elections from some nervous Republicans, according to people familiar with the matter.
Trump Zig-Zag
The New York Times reports After Global Economy Shudders, Trump Zigzags on Whether War Is Nearing End
The president told reporters at a news conference in Florida that the fighting is “going to be ended soon” but added that the U.S. would strike Iran harder if needed.
After a day of conflicting signals about when the war against Iran might end, President Trump struck a belligerent tone Monday evening, warning of even more aggressive action if Iranian leaders tried to cut off the world’s energy supply.
“We will hit them so hard that it will not be possible for them or anybody else helping them to ever recover that section of the world,” Mr. Trump said, meeting with reporters.
“We have won in many ways, but not enough,” he told a gathering of Republican lawmakers in Florida. “We go forward more determined than ever to achieve ultimate victory that will end this long-running danger once and for all.”
Asked at the news conference later if the war with Iran would be over this week, Mr. Trump said, “No.” He said only “soon, very soon.”
Question of the Day
Q: How soon is very soon?
A: Longer than a week
Q: What does very complete mean?
A: Just the beginning
U.S. orders more diplomats to leave Middle East
In a sing of no confidence regarding “soon” U.S. orders more diplomats to leave Middle East
The State Department’s most recent directives apply to personnel in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, underscoring the ongoing threat posed by Iranian counterattacks.
The Trump administration has ordered more U.S. diplomats to leave the Middle East, an indication of the ongoing security threat posed by Iran’s retaliatory attacks more than a week into the conflict.
An “ordered departure” went out Monday to nonessential American staff and their families at the U.S. Consulate in Adana, in southern Turkey, according to the State Department. A similar notice had been sent Sunday to staff at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia.
Israeli Officials Are Growing Concerned
The Washington Post reports Israeli Officials Are Growing Concerned
A few senior officials in Israel are starting to voice concern about the escalating, open-ended attack on Iran — and suggesting possible exit ramps that might halt the war before it further damages the region and the global economy.
Talk of an endgame is early, and a decision about whether to stop the attacks rests largely with President Donald Trump, who continues to seek all-out victory. But in a telephone conversation Sunday, a senior Israeli official familiar with the planning and strategy for the Iran war discussed alternatives to Trump’s call for “unconditional surrender.” The official requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the Iran situation.
Trump has wavered among several conceptions of the outcome. He spoke at first about a negotiated settlement with pliable members of the regime but has since demanded surrender because, he said, his preferred negotiating partners are dead. Like Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he wants to press on to what he described Saturday as “the moment of truth.”
The disdain for negotiations expressed by Trump and Netanyahu may deepen after Sunday’s announcement that Iran’s new supreme leader will be Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the previous head of state who was killed in a massive airstrike on his compound Feb. 28. The new leader is a hard-liner who, if anything, is even closer to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps than his father was. Not a man for the bargaining table.
What’s Clear and What Isn’t?
- Clear: Trump blames Steve Miller, Marco Rubio, Jared Kushner, and Pete Hegseth.
- Clear: Very complete means just the beginning
- Not Clear: The meaning of very soon.
- Not Clear: Whether Trump backs down or sends in ground troops.
- Not Clear: The total cost
I hope that clears things up.
Trump Says ‘I think the war is very complete, pretty much’
Meanwhile, please note Trump Says ‘I think the war is very complete, pretty much’
Great. When do we send in the troops? Or is the surrender idea over?
Note to self, “very complete, pretty much” is not exactly clear either.

LOL Nobody could make up Trump’s presentation even if they were writing skits to put him in a bad light. You just can’t top this!
You can decide when to start a war, but you don’t control when it ends.
» Iran has simple requirements for an off-ramp so it’s not really hard:
Forgot where the buck stops.
Trumpstien’s offshore accounts.
Netanyahu’s footstool.
Only a handful of ships have travelled through the Straight of Hormuz. It appears that this is a voluntary cessation of shipping.
To what end?
Is it a cohesive protest to the US invasion/or something more difficult to solve?
Insurance will not cover the ships. A day or two ago someone here posted a good link explaining the situation with insurance. I don’t know enough to know how right all of the claims in it are, but the basic events were covered pretty well. The Strait of Hormuz is a no-go zone right now because insurers will not cover it. It goes all the way back to the underwriters and the actual cost of what a sunk tanker would be (catastrophic.)
Shippers won’t sail if the insurers won’t cover.
If you own a ship, and it gets sunk, your sailors are possibly dead.
There is a huge ecological disaster as millions of gallons of oil burn or leak.
You may recover the replacement cost of the ship, but you now have to wait over a year for a new build.
And you don’t trust Trump when he says you are insured and will be safely escorted.
The US seems to have adopted the Gaza plan: endless bombing of civilians, schools, and hospitals. All war crimes. It is madness to think conventional bombing alone will get Iran to surrender—where has that ever worked? It will do nothing but drive the people of Iran to support their regime more and to hate the United States more. And keep the Strait of Hormuz shut, causing significant damage to the world economy.
I tend to think this surge of bombing is just one last desperate attempt by the US to get Iran to capitulate before the US is forced to either give up on the war or send troops in for a multi-year ground war.
The Trump goal is simply to wreck things and turn Iran into a failed state, much like Iraq, Syria and Libya.
You broke it, you bought it.
Trump backing out now will just lead to a massive slaughter of dissidents and the entrenchment of hardliners, leaving a bitter and emboldened radical muslim world.
If he wants to thread the “in but not in” needle he could offer logistics and air support to democratic persians. But leaving the current government and mulahs in charge will just make the wold a more dangerous.
The irony in all of this is that Iran (and islam in iran) was on the verge of collapsing naturally. Now by Trump kicking the hornet’s nest and running away, the Mulah’s and radicals will gain a second life.
Sad part is Iran is already a democratic country. The mullahs only control the judiciary and the revolutionary guard. Iran has a multi-party government. People were not demonstrating to overthrow the mullahs, but to overthrow the existing conservative party because the economy is so bad. And the economy is bad largely because of the USA, and they know that.
If your law enforcement is not democratic, than your country is not democratic. The law itself, and all legislation, is also based on Sharia, so that makes it a theocracy, elected officials or not.
As for the current (pre-trump) breakdown it’s because of massive mismanagement and corruption of their water resources that was leaving 10s of millions of people without water.
If that was the case, then they wouldn’t be celebrating Trump’s attacks.
99% of the laws in Iran have nothing to do with Shariah Law. And a tiny minority are celebrating Trump’s attacks. The vast majority hate them, even if they hate the party in power.
So your bitch is that Iran has a stronger version of a Supreme Court.
Oil down to $85 per barrel.
What is the BTU content of paper oil?
two hours later $93.
Donnie Demento is deteriorating quickly. As if more evidence was needed, he has no idea what he is doing, changing his story about the war he started 3 times in one afternoon. Obviously he only has the mental capacity to parrot the last person he spoke with and his performance represents divisions between his NeoCon, and Realist underlings.
Why is the press normalizing his frightening performance yesterday, instead of screaming for the 25th Amendment to be invoked? Maybe the prospect of a President Vance is more horrifying than dottering Trump.
Here’s who should be blamed: https://chatgpt.com/backend-api/estuary/content?id=file_00000000262871f5877e7ccd33765f4f&ts=492543&p=fs&cid=1&sig=95a8566e014d9e072988b87a682eef7f2bece8071c38e5f17e06311f418e60a5&v=0
AI slop is only useful for things you can personally verify. You have no way to know if it’s lying, and it’s a very convincing liar.
Would that be Steve Witkoff he was referring to (instead of Miller)?
I’m no fan of Miller, but Witkoff was conducting negotiations.
Ha he left Bibi out. So basically Team Trump is making this all about politics now and not “national security” as was claimed. Do they think they can actually run around that one?
Well, none of the evil, blatantly traitorous stuff they’ve done this past year has been an issue, so why not?
Tens of millions of people voted for Trump after seeing what he did in his first term, crashing the economy, handing out free money, trying to have the elections overthrown on Jan 6, and still voted for him. He can get away with anything.
Let’s just send the Pedophile in Chief and his cadre to The Hague for war crimes and start over, pronto!
Waffles and TACOs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Trump can’t seem to find his asshole with both hands and a mirror!
He can still chuck minions under the bus though. Bumpity bump!
Everyone who gets in trumps orbit gets hit by the bus. Cuz trump cares about trump.
Nobody on the right seems to care enough to do anything about Trump’s war crimes. RIP USA that we once knew. All hail $35 daily crude barrel moves.
“The first action of the Judeo-pedophile coalition was a ritual sacrifice of virgins to their god Baphomet. To this end, they bombed a girls’ school in Minab, Iran, killing 165 people and injuring 95 others. It was neither a mistake nor an accident, but a human sacrifice: torturing and killing children is what these people do.” (Dimitri Orlov)
The Zionist pedophiles wanted them in tribute as sex slaves but the Iranians refused, so the US did a double tap. Use two Tomahawks kinetically to break the school up and injure many, then finish it off with the Tomahawk in thermobaric mode (think napalm but bigger) to get the moms and rescuers when they come later. I heard the US targeteers waited 40 minutes until a large enough crowd had gathered.
We are evil monsters.
☠ We are the baddies. The Zionist Axis. 卐
War has a logic of its own. I think and fear forces have been set in motion that can’t be controlled esp. by trump’s weak attempt at jawboning the outcome.
Trump is the king of making messes but usually they affect only the US, where he has the power to TACO out of it. This situation is completely different- this mess affects the world economy, especially energy which underpins everything, and he doesn’t have the power to TACO without significant strategic consequences. The Iranians are trapping the egomaniac and this is going to be very painful.
Expect some really crazy talk from the Orange man as he finally realizes his dilemma. We are about to find out who is still aligned with the USA as things get more difficult
Why would any country align it’s self with the US?
We have a weak military that has fought many engagements since 1950 and lost them all except the most minor like Granada and maybe Panama.
We have elected an insane president, who is most likely a pedophile and now war criminal.
Our Republican dominated congress has all but given over all power to the insane president and rubber stamp any of his insane moves.
Our court system is nearly as incompetent as the congress.
The smart move is to join the BRICs and align with China.
The American empire and century is on the way out like all the others in history. Unless trump and the MAGA cult are removed, America is lost.
The US is wasting time and resources in overseas conflicts, National security should be built on domestic strength, specfically by securing our power grid and reducing global oil dependence. We have the technology, tools, solar, wind, advanced battery storage, nuclear power and electric vehicles to make this happen.
We have the wrong people in place to make this happen.
Fuck national security! The US are sided by two oceans. Let us concern with our own decaying infrastructure and welfare.
Correct, particularly since China controls the strategic metals like silver as well as the rare earths.
Silver is now in its sixth year where more is used than is mined or recycled. Estimates are for a 300 million ounce production shortfall.
They say price solves everything, but structural shortfalls are real and difficult to solve.
Precious metals stocks continue to look highly profitable in this inflationary environment.
The purpose of the Republican Party is to make shareholders in oil firms rich. When you understand that, US and Trump’s actions are very understandable.
Jawboning the markets to ignore reality can only be done a few times
Trump called Putin for an hour yesterday asking how to end this
Putin gave the only possible answer–provide Iran a guarantee that the US will never attack Iran again
Can Trump even credibly offer that? After 2 attacks in the midst of negotiations? Surrounded by Zionists?
However it is clear that the pro-Israel, pro-EndTimes crew Trump has surrounded himself re-assert themselves and Trump is on to the apocalypse version of planning for the capture of the 400Kg and the seizure of the Iranian shore to allow passage because the US Navy has made it clear that they do not have the means to keep the Strait open
Don’t shoot the messenger here, but George Galloway was saying that a U.S. mission to that end has already ended in failure. Neither side talking about it.
RE “planning for the capture of the 400Kg”
Words won’t do. But shutting down all the Usonian bases in the region would.
The usonian thing weakens your posts, sounds unhinged
Usonian:
Of or relating to the United States of America.
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Usonian
Just say “American” then. That’s the actual adjective that people use
So the US and Israel declare victory and stop bombing. That doesn’t mean Iran stops anything. They can still lob missiles into the straight of Hormuz or mine it, they can still lob bombs into Israel. Trump and Pete the moron think they can control when things are going to end but can they really? They have opened Pandora’s box it will take both sides to close it and I doubt that Iran has much interest in closing it any time soon after what the US has done. I think they will make the US wear this for a while.
All Trump has accomplished is that he has highlighted to the world is how important Iran is to the welfare of the global economy. In some ways that is more powerful than an Iranian nuclear weapon.
That is truly the situation now. Still, would rather have Trump pull out and declare victory than to send in the Marines.
So the US and Israel declare victory and stop bombing. That doesn’t mean Iran stops anything. They can still lob missiles into the straight of Hormuz or mine it, they can still lob bombs into Israel.

yeah iran is bad!
hey mo11ron, remind us how many countries USA bombed after ww2
and compare to iran!
can’t wait
Exactly
Have Jarod and Barron enlisted??
The European soldiers of 1914 should have all gone home for Christmas and cut throats.
The global economy will continue to suffer as long as oil and LNG shipments through the strait of Hormuz are throttled.
The resulting shut-in of oil production in Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi is approaching 10 mbpd (best estimate) in a 107 mbpd global market. The longer this continues, the greater the economic impact.
Qatar has shut down 20% of global LNG production, which will take 2-4 months to fully get back online, once the process begins. And it won’t begin till they feel it’s safe to do so.
As expected, “something” is being done to calm the markets. But will it be enough to get production and shipping back to normal levels?
No
Q. How soon is very soon?
A. Very simple, and explained. Iran “Unconditionally Surrenders” OR We continue to destroy their Military into eventual annihilation, and ALL power that goes along with it. They thereby will have technically surrendered, because they wouldn’t do so when asked over and over. Whomever is left standing will be dealt with accordingly.
Q. What does very complete mean?
A. There is a very clear and concise or complete if you will, package of things that must occur. Not in order necessarily, but must. The opening up of the (safe) Strait is a perfect example. One oil tanker just passed through.
Like Trump has explained, this is not, and never was going to be a prolonged engagement. If they choose to do so the hard way, we will oblige, but not with boots on the ground for War purposes. This will all be by Air, Sea, and elsewhere. Once accomplished, and it’s looking like it won’t take much more, then the Iranian People can take the Country back, and set up a peaceful system for themselves.
By definition complete and total surrender does not align with this was never going to be a prolonged engagement.
The Country is turned over to the People, and those in power are irradiated.
I don’t think that can happen in the USA. But it should.
Stu sez..One oil tanker just passed through.
The oil tanker that was under US sanction for carrying Iranian oil
whos is ‘we’, moron? royal we?
YOU WON”T BOMB COUNTRY OVER 1.5 MIL sq miles size wise into surrender.
Germany was bombed since 1940… and it was 5 or 10x times less
you would know mor1on if ever opened hist book! !!
You’re silly even talking about blowing up the entire country. What have you got yourself into? We love the peaceful people of Iran. Why are you so violent towards them? You need to relax…
Will you still think and feel the same if and when they sink one of aircraft carriers?
It must be that everyday the people of Iran are learning to hate Israel and the USA more and more.
Try to mentally trade places with them. Would you after all the murder and destruction allow the Great Satan a peaceful existence?
The people are sensing peace in their homeland, while true, it doesn’t erase the damage caused from their past leaders. They are gleeful, while also hesitant as well, to believe this is truly happening. Freedom from tyranny must be pretty damn special, as it would be to most I must imagine.
That must be why Trump bombs elementary schools, hospitals, oil storage facilities and apartments. Because he cares so much about the people of Iran.
Are you four years old?
so far so good https://postimg.cc/QBm3mzkw
If he abandons the operation, then he has not accomplished much if anything. The radical clerics are still in charge and nuclear materials are still in play. The operation requires ground troops. The public will not support an infantry operation. With the midterm elections on the horizon, Trump has another tough decision. There are those very naive armchair warriors who believe wars can be won without infantry. They are wrong.
Yes, that is the reality we are in right now
=The radical clerics are still in charge and nuclear materials are still in play.
radical ?
how many countries iran bombed since ww2?
are you kind of mo11ron?? never opened hist book ?? did you skip history in USA school entirely?
It will take ground forces. In Vietnam at it’s peak we had about 540,000 troops on our side including allies. Iran is about five times larger than all of Vietnam, almost ten times larger than South Vietnam. Would 1,000,000 troops be able to conquer Iran, maybe, maybe not. Although our military has upgraded their offensive capabilities so has Iran. There are many rugged mountains in Iran similar to Afghanistan, how did that work out for us?
What is “radical” about Iran’s clerics?
Trump is just talking down oil prices. It’s actually semi-smart for Trump (probably Bessent came up with it). By saying the war will be over soon, futures speculators become very scared to “buy high” when prices might collapse. And by never giving an end date to the killing, “soon” has some lasting power. Until… until closing the strait actually bites into world oil supplies and prices soar. The question is how can Trump extricate himself from this stupidity without achieving anything important other than creating more hatred for the US and more people wanting to kill us?
– By saying the war will be over soon. > It will be, as there will be no Military to fight, No drones, missiles, launchers, or impedance of any kind. No Enemy in other words.
– creating more hatred for the US > Iranian people are crying tears of immense happiness. No longer to be ruled, taken advantage of in ugly ways, used, and abused are coming forward all the time with glee. This is wonderfully life changing for Millions!
I’m sure you believe Mexico will still pay for the wall too
Wrong year, and different circumstances. Now it’s clean up your act of drug leaders in your country, or we will do it for you. The groundwork is already being laid for such…
How about “Please don’t do anything about the drug addicts in the US, without them our Cocaine, Meth and Fentanyl would be almost worthless.”
The drug cartels would disappear and millions of US dollars would no longer flow south.
Hmm… That’s odd, because I get fentanyl injected in me every few years from my doctor, and so do most all men in America that do there due diligence of healthcare.
Hey you do you, and let the rest of us live healthy and peacefully please…
I, for one, don’t follow the NYT or WAPO for a reason (outright anti-Trump bias). Not that both cannot be accurate on any given report but the lens of both publishers are constrained. I prefer red your viewpoints when they were your viewpoints and not a parrots viewpoints.
In other words you shop around for a news source that fits your bias. Nobody is surprised you prefer it when reporting reinforces what you already want to believe. I still look at the Washington Post every day because it tells me what the oligarchs are thinking. And the NYTimes is left standing as the strongest paper in America, with actual reporters doing actual reporting. If you’re too dumb to take information from the times regardless of context, that’s on you. Same thing goes for Mish. I’m no libertarian but I’m happy to hear what one thinks.
Here’s a pro tip: when you’re attacking the source instead of rebutting the story, you’re probably not right.
The NYT has been “declining” in print, but until recently, they were gaining in digital but now digital is declining as well. So they are heading in the wrong direction…
So you prefer confirmation bias…got it….
Have to wonder what operation epstien fury is really about, Maybe the US is owned and has been for a long time. Because the rich and powerful are a bunch of molesters. Like all of the 7 deadly greed is a disease. and power corrupts.
I just read this news now.
Germany’s Volkswagen on Tuesday reported a sharp drop in annual operating profit and flagged another tough year ahead as the auto giant continues to grapple with U.S. tariffs and competition in China.
It will be worse and worse this year because of sharp rise in gasoline price.
Ditto to other ICE car companies.
Do you thing as the price of oil goes up the cost of electricity goes down or stays the same? Parts for car manufacturing goes down or stays the same. High oil prices will effect all auto manufacturers weather gas, diesel or electric.
Depends. Most manufacturing relies on a country’s electrical infrastructure. The vast majority of those costs in the US are based natural gas which is heavily influenced by oil production and will go up. After that comes renewables and coal which are effected, but only in small ways. China on the other hand gets its electricity from coal, renewables and nuclear, so manufacturing costs won’t be impacted much, with the exception of needed imports and increased shipping costs. This is a big win for China and another gutting of America.
He’s a toddler…
I’m still struggling with how a country can elect a spoiled toddler.
Does everyone sleep well knowing he’s got launch codes?
He’s a narcissist and a carnival barker who thinks he only has to convince a few rubes.
I don’t worry about the launch codes. Nothing I can do about it. But there are things I CAN control, so I focus my dash on those things.
Nigh half the voters are those rubes. The smarter part of voters stayed at home to keep a peaceful conscience, unlike those voters without a conscience who voted for the lesser evil, that is, for evil.
You overstate how much support the guy had in late 2024.
Just under 1/3 of eligible voters picked him for president, meaning more than 2/3 did not vote for him. A plurality did not vote in the 2024 presidential election, same as ever, once again making ‘not voting’ the most popular candidate in the presidential election.
“I’m still struggling with how a country can elect a spoiled toddler.”
If they can elect an autopen they can well elect a toddler as well…
The US is an idiocracy.
I run a business where I have to deal with the general public. After decades of this you would think I had seen it all, but I am still often surprised by just how low IQ and low information people can be, yet still be walking around and functioning. The anti vax nurse who goes on about herbal supplements, the Vietnam vet who blames draft dodgers for his experience in the war, the aerospace manager who is shocked that Trump broke his promise about foreign wars, etc etc etc. All real people, all with giant holes in their reasoning and knowledge, often directly in their area of expertise.
By definition, half of the population has an IQ below the norm of 100. That is, it is a matter of fact that half of the population is closer to clinical mental retardation than to intelligence.
He just sends the order, it’s the Military, once the Biscuit has been received, that must carry it out.
I’m struggling with how a country of over 300 million people could come up with 2 unlikable & incompetent candidates such as Trump & Harris to lead the most powerful country in the world. It was a ‘pick-your-poison’ choice.
There were many candidates on the ballot, unless you voluntarily choose to limit your vote to the Uniparty
Read up on the events of DFL primary season in 2016 and 2020. You shouldn’t be under the illusion that the general population is choosing R and D candidates for president.
https://observer.com/2017/08/court-admits-dnc-and-debbie-wasserman-schulz-rigged-primaries-against-sanders/
Biden was well down the path of dementia by the time election season started. The country had never really faced this before. As the sitting President, it would be unprecedented to elect someone else. The problem was Trump. The Democrats were desperate not to let that ignoramus get elected, and Biden had beaten him once. Had Trump not run, Biden would likely have just walked off the stage and let a real primary season begin. But with Trump getting picked again, he didn’t feel like he had a choice but to stay. By the time it was just the two of them, it was too late. Biden had to go, and the only possible backup was Harris. There was no mechanism for picking someone else. And a black woman is not going to get elected in this country. Maybe when the boomers age out, but not now.
30% of the people in our country are obese toddlers that have grown old, and it was enough to get him elected.
Only a country with like minded voters would elect a Trump or a Biden: delirious senile buffoons.
Remember that the guy who is declaring victory and mission accomplished is the same guy who:
1) claimed he had the largest inauguration crowd in history. It was yuuuge.
2) says people come up to him a one tell him “sir you are the wisest man ever and the last idea he had is the best”
3) was totally exonerated by the Mueller Report
4) was totally exonerated in the Epstein files – even though they scrubbed his name and he still appeared 38,000 times and they hid the witness statement (3 of them from a. 13yo accuser who accused him of rape).
And lies as you and I breathe.
Facts to check. Apparently last summer when the US and Israel attacked Iran, Netanyahu was supposed to testify in court about his corruption cases. This was cancelled at the request of Trump because “we are at war”. At the end of February 2026, the case had proceeded and Netanyahu was again to appear in court to testify again about his corruption cases. Again Trump intervened because “we are at war”.
Again – this comes from a former spy and is supposedly based on Israeli newspapers. Someone willing and able to put in the time to research could take this further to confirm. If true, it should be infinitely insufficient to call this a “scandal”.
Poll time!
Upvote if you suspect at least a small possibility Bibi-Trump wanted this much catastrophe, including shutting Hormuz.
– To justify nukes.
– To destabilize ASEAN economies and especially hurt China.
Downvote if you think it ludicrous.
Israel using a nuke on Iran is inevitable…probably not this go-round, but inevitable.
It will be pretty ironic when it happens…talk about projection.
It would permanently change how the world treats Israel.
Ummmm….I thought Gaza would have accomplished that
It should have but nuclear bombs beat genocide of Muslims. Remember, Trump desperately hates Muslims. He has spent years minimizing their existence.
I don’t know that Maga will follow him into a nuclear holocaust
He loves him some Mamadami, though.
I suspect that MAGA will follow the Dotard into any hell hole. Now, if only they did and didn’t drag the whole world with them…
Sort of like when US impounded $300 Billion of Russian assets. Few commented everyone noticed.
Same chaotic messaging as tariffs. Keep the frogs from jumping out of the bowl.
…
“This hot tub is too dam hot. Whadda ya say we get out of here, Bob?”
“But, Larry, that guy with the [unintelligible croak for ‘chef’s hat’] just said he’s turning down the heat. … See? Feels better already.”
“I’m not so sure, Bob.”
“Calm down, Larry… Hey, look! Brent crude is dropping!”
@mish
I think the “Steve” he’s referring to is Steve Witkoff…not that it matters, as Witkoff, Miller and Kushner are all acting on behalf of Israel as a quick smash of the Early Life their respective wiki’s would reveal.
Those Diplomats should be removed for good. WHAT GOOD DID THEY DO?
The diplomats are not the issue. Its the US leadership which is the issue. You are looking in the wrong direction
But Jared is family!
So Trump’s going to declare a unilateral ceasefire and go home? Hard to believe the new Ayatollah, who just had his family wiped out by US bombs, is going to go along with this.
What’s he going to do? Keep shooting off drones at UAE and Saudi Arabia? 🤣
Yes. And Israel. And any ships that try to pass through the Straight of Hormuz.
That will just bring the US and Israel back to bombing Iran.
No one knows for sure what he’ll do but that seems like a really poor strategy if you actually care about your country / citizens. More importantly it would almost assuredly mean the US / Israel would not stop until you were dead / removed from office.
The US do not have the industrial base to make bombs and missiles to bomb anyone.
All the Iranians have to do is sink one tanker. That’s a low bar.
Then why haven’t they done it it is as simple as you state?
Now they have, haven’t they?
That will just bring the US and Israel back to bombing Iran.
No one knows for sure what he’ll do but that seems like a really poor strategy if you actually care about your country / citizens. More importantly it would almost assuredly mean the US / Israel would not stop until you were dead / removed from office.
Oil is down to $85 and falling. As I posted yesterday, “this shall pass” referring to escalating oil prices. I have been proven correct again. There is no shortage of oil or LNG, there is only a delivery problem. Most companies have more than sufficient emergency reserves to cover up 90 days of complete stoppage (China is said to have 120 days). Why don’t they open these reserves? Times like today are what the reserves are for!
As for midterm weakness, here is a divergent take:
always amused by mor11ons who take seriously paper trading IN WESTERN EXCHANGES!
did they not drop wtic(= usa ) into negative territory 5*7 years ago?
buddy, give it time!! you know 1 -3 month when reserves are cleared, esp into summer season.

Stay the course, Mr. President! DO NOT listen to bleatings of the libtards that permeate the web and the media!
look , random Linux process in mi6 headquarters pretend to be human!
that is funny!
The man’s an utter buffoon – so if you’re such a fan I guess that makes you one also.
Who’s more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?
I don’t think Netanyahu and Graham and Tom Cotton and all the neocons will let him just pull out. I mean, he could, but he doesn’t have the courage to tell them “no”, so we’ll be tied up there for years. There’s no way we can get anything that could be called a “win”. Also, everything about the US and Israel’s actions is wicked.
I don’t think Trump has ever really listened to other people’s opinions. If he wants to stop the war, that is what he’ll do no matter what the Grahams and Cottons say. Israel might have more sway, I agree on that.
Tom Cotton has a face of person who is cuckold and simultaneously is passive pede111rast
Well, shit, this could not be more clear.
Iran’s Navy is BLOWED UP.
Trump will bomb them and they will never recover. Ever.
Fire, fury, bombs, death, blah blah blah death to the Iranians…
But we hit them hard. And it is almost over. We can bomb them forever, but we’ll be done soon. In fact, we’re almost done.
And Fascist Miller, Tiny Marco, Drunk Hogsbreath all made me do this. It’s their fault.
Unless things turn around in which case I was playing 5-D chess.
Suck it.
Careful. If you have blond hair you might end up Trumps next press secretary.
yeah but trump loves to crab them by pu11ssy
is not blonde press-secretary preggy?
