Trump Resorts to Childish Tactics “I will if you will” to Challenge China

Trump floats new tariffs on China with a new twist.

Please consider the Bloomberg article Trump Floats New Tariffs on China, India to Squeeze Russia

President Donald Trump told European officials he’s willing to impose sweeping new tariffs on India and China to push President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table with Ukraine — but only if EU nations do so as well.

Trump made the ask when he called into a meeting with senior US and EU officials in Washington, according to people familiar with the discussion who asked not to be identified discussing private deliberations. The US is willing to mirror tariffs imposed by Europe on either country, one of the people said.

The proposal amounted to a challenge given that several nations, including Hungary, have blocked more stringent EU sanctions targeting Russia’s energy sector in the past. Such measures would require the backing of all member states.

New TACO Form

Instead of chickening out later, Trump is chickening out up front, hoping to place the blame elsewhere.

Every EU nation would have to agree to tariffs on China and India and that is a nonstarter.

Trump knows they won’t. So, he will pin the blame of the EU.

Evolution of the Conversation

I will if you will.
You first.
No, you first.
I dare ya.
I double dare ya.
I double dog dare ya.
I triple dog dare ya.
You’re just a big chicken.

Xi is probably laughing his ass off.

Meanwhile, where are the tough measures on Russia that Trump has threatened for months on end?

Trump Is Impotent

Trump cannot act on China because China would cut off the supply of rare earth elements the US needs for weapons systems, microchips, phones, and aircraft.

So Trump dares the EU.

About Cooperation

The sorry aspect is cooperation among allies is needed. But Trump started out by punching Canada, Mexico, and Greenland in the nose.

Canada was on course to elect a conservative prime minister until Trump taunted them with the idea of becoming a 51st state.

Trump sent an uninvited delegation led by Vice President Vance to interfere in Greenland’s election with predictable results. Greenland voted to stay closer to Denmark for longer.

The US needs rare earths from Canada and Greenland and cheap labor in Mexico or cheap hydroelectric power in Canada to process them.

Now he seeks cooperation from the EU after bragging about an unsigned “deal” with them that has a snowball’s chance in hell of happening due to political and fiscal constraints.

On top of it all, no one can possibly believe a word Trump says because he unilaterally broke his own USMCA deal with Canada and Mexico.

Now he wants cooperation to confront China when it’s clear he is just looking for someone to blame.

The only thing that will steer Putin toward peace is defeats on the battlefield. Like the ones President Biden delivered. Before the WWE took over. Now we have tough choreography and tough name calling. Maybe pussy Hegseth can Anime Putin into submission.

Imagine that sanctions could actually be applied to Russia.
A watertight global embargo of all Russian exports.
How great would that be?

Well over 10% of global energy exports are sourced from Russia.
What would a shortfall of 10% mean?
Price elasticity for energy is estimated at 0.1 to 0.06 (for large price hikes) short-term
That implies prices rising by more than 100% to depress demand.

Nobody has a data set that models such an event; you cannot substitute LNG for coal; no significant regional displacements of supply, except that poor countries can be more easily starved; supply might increase marginally, but all-in-all, it would crush economies and increase death rates in poor countries, not least due to inability to cook and fertilize crops.

This post is not about who attacked Poland with drones. Absolutely possible it was Ukraine, same like they destroyed Nord Stream weakening Germany, same time they were getting ammo from them. So this is highly possible.
My post was about Trump clearly avoiding any confrontation with Putin and why this is a case.
So my theory is same all the time. Most possible Putin has some dirt from either pee tape from Moscow or maybe they got access to Epstein files and blackmailing Trump.

Bibi no longer needs Qatar and Egypt to negotiate with Hamas. Israel deals directly with Izz Al Din Haddad Jasa commander, who replaced Sinwar and Daf. The rest, the 3rd rate leaders leftover who live in fancy hotels, are either dead or useless. There will be no more intermittent ceasefire for 60 day to start all over again. The IDF put more pressure on Jasa to force the population to get out of the battle zone. High rise buildings are tumbling down. Haddad: either cut a deal, return the hostages, or Jasa and u are gone. Ursula, the UN and Macron will not save u.

Russia’s drone flight path into Poland may be enough for Trump to give Ukraine permission to launch some US made long range offensive missiles at Moscow or Russian natural gas infrastructure. That would make china’s LNG purchases more difficult.

Most Americans are unaware of how little respect the world outside of the US and Israel exists for Trump.

China, India, Brazil, Russia, Canada and many other major nations are simply turning their backs on Trump and his sycophants.

Trump himself is so far removed from reality that he can not even grasp the scope of the growing rift between the US and its former allies around the globe.

Putin openly taunts Trump with 19 drone flights over Poland and is happily supplying China and much of the world with oil and LNG.

Trump is a feeble ~ perverted ~ blowhard and hopefully his reign of disorder and mayhem ends soon.

China, India, Brazil, Russia saw the U.S. weaponize the USD with the Ukraine war. Thus the weariness of the US started before Trump. The tarrifs just exasterbated the issues. They would like to get rid of as much USD as a reserve currency as they can. They will need to keep some for trading purposes of course.

I doubt if they want to use BTC as a reserve when it looks like Saylor, US ETFs (blackrock, etc) and the US government will control over 15% to 20% of the supply? They will see it as just another US controlled currency.

I am still waiting for them to use them. Seriously talking, going back to a gold standard is problematic. Not only would it be hard to implement but once installed your county’s money supply is limited to how much gold you have at hand and the world’s gold supply is limited so your county’s possibilities to grow are also limited.

China’s exports are up even though their exports to the US are down by a lot. With or without childish antics, China and India aren’t going to stop buying Russian energy. The Europeons are just stupid enough to change EU rules so that Orban and Fico can’t stop Europeon “secondary sanctions”. Then Trump’s bluff would be called – and he would back down anyway because – as Mish says – we need too much stuff from China (like rare earths for weapons to use against China).

What’s really worrisome is that we have people in government like Lindsey Graham, Navarro and Bessent who actually believe we have the leverage to tell China and India – with their 2.8 billion people – where they can buy oil and gas. They’re as dumb as Blinken.

Simple: They’re deeply antisemitic and want people to hate Jews so they’re driven to live there. This is actually documented as far back as the early 20th century before Israel existed. Zionism is an insane ideology that wants a “Jewish” ethnostate in the same way Nazis wanted a German ethnostate.

If you want to know how antisemitic they are, they banned speaking Yiddish and made it nearly impossible to live there asa Yiddish speaker, calling it a “ghetto language”. They also hired a bunch of ex-nazis into their military because that really screams “we’re Jews guys!”

I fully believe they plan to go down fighting and kill as many as possible before they do. This is entirely the west’s fault for enabling such behavior, shoulder shrugging because “hey, it’s only brown people!”

Rather than simply cutting Ukraine off of all support, which would be the fastest way to stop the war, he for some reason plays these games

Probably because Congress, and especially the Senate, is filled to the brim with traitors to the United States. Most especially the grand traitor Lindsey Graham, and less vociferously, at least on the worthless Sunday talk shows controlled by the traitor factions of Western Intel, Mitch McConnell
