If Trump remains angry, no country buying Russian oil will sell anything to the US.
The Wall Street Journal reports Trump Expresses Anger at Putin as Ukraine Talks Make Little Progress
On Friday, Putin called for “interim governance” in Ukraine under the auspices of the United Nations, which would essentially push out Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On Sunday, Trump told NBC News those comments were unacceptable because they meant there wouldn’t be a deal for a long time. “You could say that I was very angry, pissed off,” he said, when “Putin started getting into Zelensky’s credibility.” He added that if Russia couldn’t reach a deal, he would impose secondary tariffs.
“If a deal isn’t made, and if I think it was Russia’s fault,” Trump said, “anybody buying oil from Russia will not be able to sell their product, any product, not just oil, into the United States.”
The president’s new threats toward Russia marks a shift away from his previous praise for Putin, just weeks after Trump’s tensions with Zelensky erupted in a fiery confrontation in the Oval Office. The Ukrainian leader had urged the U.S. not to trust Putin and Trump responded that Kyiv needed to accept that it had a weak negotiating hand, three years after Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Trump said U.S. officials had conveyed his frustration to Russia and that he expected to talk with Putin later this week.
His criticism comes after rounds of talks with Moscow that the White House has broadly called successful, but have yielded little progress. Moscow and Kyiv said they agreed to a cessation of airstrikes against energy infrastructure in both countries, but such strikes have continued, albeit at a slower pace.
The Trump administration also tried to formalize a cease-fire in the Black Sea, but Moscow tried to attach a number of demands to the deal, including sanctions relief. The statements issued afterward by Washington and Moscow differed sharply, prompting some former U.S. diplomats to wonder whether they had attended different meetings.
Glen Howard, president of the Saratoga Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, said that advisers around Trump who are hawkish toward Russia appear to be gathering influence because of Russian foot-dragging in negotiations.
Trump’s personal annoyance with the Kremlin appears to be growing, Howard said, pointing to a Truth Social post by Trump Saturday that referred to “Russian aggression” along with Chinese expansionism, as a justification for U.S. strategic interest in Greenland. The phrase was an unusual dig at the Kremlin, Howard said.
India and China in the Spotlight
Russia sells oil primarily to China and India so they are in the spotlight.
Trump did not say how his threat would work, but there is only one way it could work.
And that is tariffs so high any countries buying oil from Russia could not export anything to the US.
That might poise more than a bit of a problem for call centers in India, among other things.
Practical or not, let’s see if this gets Putin’s attention. One of the things I thought Trump would get right is ending the war in Ukraine.

Yesterday, Trump paused all military aid to Ukraine after a disastrous meeting with Zelensky last Friday. Now what?
Many people including the Wall Street Journal said Trump was applying pressure only on Ukraine.
Now we see some pressure on Putin.

Russia forced to draft 160,000 men today. Surely NK had this amount easily available for mercenary work. Why did Kim refuse to send them?
There have always been two problems with making peace in the Ukraine-Russia war, and both loop back to something George Orwell once said = “The fastest way to end a war is to lose it.” V. Putin has always wanted more than just land from Ukraine. He has wanted a puppet government in Kyiv, rather like the 1930s Manchukuo that was a puppet of Japan’s, and rather like present-day Belarus. And V. Putin has thought that he can fight the war longer than the West can.
Myself I would not be surprised if this is just Trump TRYING to appear less a Putin puppet. We’ll see how long/if it lasts.

Wait. I thought Trump was a Russian agent? I thought Trump & Putin were bros. What the hell. Has someone been lying for the last 9 years?
Interesting commentary (below)with a diversity(divergence) of world views.
It’s amazing that anything can filter through the US state-controlled media apparatus.
In Negotiating class, we learned about a type of negotiator known as the Russian Negotiator. AKA one who stalls and drags things out for so long the counterparty gives up altogether or settles for whatever they can get. Think of the Paris peace talks that were dragged out for years and we got nothing. Putin doesn’t need to get reelected. He’s on a path to take over Ukraine that has been in motion for years and he’ll get his way even if it takes another ten years or more. Trump is on track to put us “all in” and we will lose it all.
Yes … in the business world, working with Russian people can be trying. They don’t come out and say “no”…..but they don’t say “yes” either, lol.
There are likely people in the State Dept. who know how to work with Russians. It’s a shame that this Admin is not using their expertise.
It was Boris Johnson who sabotaged the negotiations to end the war just months after it began. Johnson didn’t want the war to end. The intent was to weaken Russia by bogging it down in a war. Merkle admitted there was no intent to honor the previous Minsk accords with Russia. Those who oppose Trump were on a track to put us all in. During the election, they tried to provoke Russia into making an over response to expanded attacks by Ukraine on Russia. Even the Pope said the Russian invasion of 2022, was provoked.
DOGE confirms WIDESPREAD social security, medicaid and ELECTION fraud by illegals. Referrals for prosecution by the thousands. Democrats may not ever win an election again.
Trump is an unstable atom. It’s possible this can be a ploy though to take pressure of himself as he makes a deal with Putin. Hard to say. I’m not really into leaders making these yo-yo statements. One day this, the other day that.
Putin is a great leader. Strong, sensible man. I like him and wish we had someone that represented our interests, and not Israel’s. Some people call it: MIGA (Make Israel Great Again).
Unfortunately, President Trump has no patience. I really expected sober diplomatic talks on the part of the US, but instead we get a 2 year old who had an indulgent father who never disciplined his son, and always got his way, talking to President Putin.
It should dawn on every single American that giving the President (a single person in the world) control of unlimited tariffs and thereby giving the office the power to crash the global economy at any point for whatever tantrum needs to be change.
This should be the first action when dems retake control of Congress. And if Trump doesn’t want to play ball, cut off all funding to the executive branch and give Trump a taste of his own medicine.
There’s an awful lot that needs to be tightened up in Constitution v2!
Call an election.
This may have been lost bin translation? Perhaps. Trump could ask for a different interpretor? Zalenski needs to call an election aka referendum. And then move towards peace.
As for tarriffs. An emotional useless tarriff that will not align Putin and the Russian people. The Russia s were prepared for the sanctions, and the gas turned off. Oil to be shipped elsewhere. Russia has the least amountbofbUS t bills. (Should tell you something), has a healthy gold supply, again. Little to no debt….
Something has to change, and a Ukraine election is already past due. It’s worth a try.
I don’t see why the UN should not oversee elections in Ukraine given the un-democratic behaviour of Elensky (he outlawed “z”, lol). Now, Elensky is suddenly proposing for his government to run an election.
Personally, I think that some outside authority should re-do the elections in the seceded oblasts as well, just to confirm what they Russians say about the desires of those people. Maybe combine the whole original Ukraine in one election and see who wins.
Somehow, I don’t think the West would like the answer.
How about a free and fair election in Russia first?
Because the UN’s corruption is only exceeded by its incompetence.
The arrival of B2 bombers in Diego Garcia(served there in 78) may have been the best thing ever for Ukraine. It may help clarify the president’s overt frenemy view of Russia who is a solid ally of Iran, proponent of Iranian driven local terrorism, and daily uses thousands of Iranian drones to kill Ukrainian civilians and destroy Ukrainian infrastructure. For our president, if you’re not with me, you’re against me …
There is no example of Russia breaking the Energy Infrastructure ceasefire. The Original Black Sea deal had sanction relief. A reestablishment of the Black Sea deal would too. My guess is that Trump, and his people, did not realize this. A ceasefire requires monitors. No non belligerent has publicly been suggested.
A funny thing happened on the road to perdition caused by US Tariffs.

Gee whiz who’d a thunk it, Chicago is a manufacturing hub.

@Mish “One of the things I thought Trump would get right is ending the war in Ukraine.” What is the reason for this unfounded hope?
Anyone, including Trump, who might of thought Putin was going to agree to ending the war in Trump’s first 100 days is a moron, to quote Mish about any number of us posting on his web site about XYZ.
The war will end when either the US completely pulls its support for Ukraine or Ukraine gets lucky & decapitates Putin. Until then, there’s no reason to have any sort of hope, IMHO.
(One of the grammar errors I really hate is a construction like “might of” when it should be “might have” or “might’ve”.)
“anybody buying oil from Russia will not be able to sell their product, any product, not just oil, into the United States.”
Can Trump put a tariff on services? (I’m thinking of India.)
Yes he can if he wants to.
Looks like India is already responding – https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/India-Turns-Away-Russian-Oil-Tanker-As-Sanctions-Evolve.html
Trump is putting American medical research behind for years if not for decades and I find it difficult what he expects that the US will get out of doing so. The only thing that comes to mind is that maybe he expects the Big Pharma corporations to go in and hoover up the broken bits on the cheap and make bank on them. But about 3,000 faculty members, doctoral students, post-doc researchers and research scientists & engineers are all being thrown on the scrap heap because what, who care what happens to them? But supposing, just supposing, that China decides that this would be a golden opportunity for them to develop their own medical research programs and starts to hire all those people to give their research a boost. What then? Will Trump seek to cancel the passports of all those people so that they will not be able to go to China? Sort of like a dog in a manger attitude? What if they wanted to go to Canadian institutions. Would that be verboten too?
1) You’re right. This will kill off the last bit of American technological ingenuity.
2) I think they don’t realize it. In their minds they’re not cutting research funding they’re cutting “waste”. It’s also the case that they don’t care if Americans can get PhDs, as they believe they can just get H1Bs from India.
Finally they might just not realize how innovation happens. If you listen to much of American media it’s Elon Musk that builds the SpaceX rockets. I never see the SpaceX scientists interviewed anywhere.

Dr. Fiona Godlee, 16 years as editor-in-chief of The BMJ – “It’s estimated that 70 per cent of the retractions are based on some form of scientific
misconduct. I think we have to call it what it is. It is the corruption of the scientific process.”
Science has been corrupted by financial and other special interests. More corrupt research isn’t going to prolong lives.
What percent of scientific research is retracted? You’re trying to imply 70%
“If” Trump remains angry? Come one, that’s as sure a thing as the sun rising again tomorrow.
But angry at whom is the question, and I don’t think that lasts more than 2 minutes.
My 2 year old used to get angry with me – Thankfully he was not in charge of the largest army in the world.
If the war ends there are going to be a lot of people pissed off over here in Mish’s blog.
Anybody here read the article “To End the Ukraine War, Trump Should Think Like Ike” by Graham Allison in the National Interest last week?
But I think behind that the real question in most minds is the fate of Europe, and the footprint and character of of US global leadership and partnerships, economic and geopolitical, of which Ukraine is only one component.
You are correct. Ukraine is only a component
The war ends with Ukraine’s defeat and surrender. Negotiations are a sideshow.
I am reading Robert Dallek’s “Nixon and Kissinger.” I see Trump in many ways as a strange mutant (steroid-and-courage-injected) redux of aspects of Nixon (everything taken more boldly and openly), but on this issue, in common with Vietnam days, it looks a lot easier to end engagements and wars than it turns out to be. Biden discovered this with his hasty Afghanistan retreat (after Trump negotiated the framework), which Trump of course then criticized. It would all have gone differently and perfectly under his watch, he has said of so many things. Talk is cheap, but cheap talk has paid off for him. I strongly suspect Trump’s psyche would have a very hard time looking like that Biden-Afghan thing.
Sure thing comrade. I can’t believe how many Putin supporters are here.
Something interesting just happened in France today. Madame Marine Le Pen in court has been declared ineligible to present herself in the next presidential election. This open things up.
Jordan Bardella took over. Mertz might mate with AfD, after failing to build a coalition
Bardella is just a mouthpiece put in place by Le Pen. He will quickly be eaten now that his owner is politically dead. The knives are already out in the party.
Europeon “democracy”. lol. Just ban the candidates the elites don’t like. Rules based order, blah blah blah.
Putin is soooooo democaracy. Putin is soooooo rules based order. If tossing your enemies out windows from tall buildings or poisoning them appeals to you…MOVE TO RUSSIA. Putin will love you. Until he doesn’t.
Trump put a new threat on Iran. Pete Hegseth sent 6 B-2 to Diego Garcia 3,700km from Iran. Iran newest ballistic missile has a range of 4,000km. The Hooties might be running out of ballistic missiles. Iran ballistic missiles are underground. If trump attacks Iran Erdogan will salivate bc Iran will smash Israel.
CVN Harry Truman and CVN Carl Vinson are nearby Iran.
That’s all we need at this moment of the weirdest first 100 days since FDR. Maybe every system breaks at once.
Big targets.
2 things…. The Hooties? What about the Blowfish? Also, Iran’s air defenses got significantly degraded in the last year because of their misread of Israel’s response to missile attacks from them. They have been unusually quiet since then.
Did you really think that Trump could effectively end the war in the Ukraine? Seriously? They guy has no credible leverage on Putin, and in fact he is empowering him with his weak openings. Besides, Putin has no intention of ending the war in the Ukraine. He knows he has time on his side, plus he can waste as many resources as he needs. The USA has nothing that Putin wants. This war was never about the Ukraine joining NATO (only western intellectual idiots believe that): he simply wants for the Ukraine to cease to exist.
Putin got what he wanted 3 years ago: he beefed up the Crimean peninsula. Putin can shorten his hockey stick and move east.
Russia offered to stop the war three years ago, leaving Lugansk and Donetsk as semi autonomous oblasts within Ukraine, if only Ukraine would swear off joining NATO. Blinken and Sullivan sent the fool Boris Johnson to tell Ukraine to reject the offer. A classic example of “Let’s you and him fight”. Ukraine chose to do it the hard way. Then in 2024 Putin offered to end it if Ukraine would fully exit Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye and swear off NATO membership. Again, Zelensky rejected it. So now, all of historic Novorossiya is in Russia’s sights. Moldova is not a NATO member. Besides, Russia doesn’t need to formally seize Transnistria if they just sidle up to it and allow free passage.
How much Russian or Ukrainian do you speak? have you been to the region before? How much Russian history have you studied?
I’ll go out on a limb and say none, no and zero.
USA has everything to gain from a long war of attrition between Russia & Ukraine. Both cease to exist. Europe may rearm or suffer economic tariff collapse. Trump is playing all three along with the negotiation charade. Americans are laughing.
Nyet
Magical thinking is front and center in the MAGA world.
I’m almost ready to go “all in”.
Tens of millions of humans with half functioning brains certainly could not be mistaken?
Magical thinking could be a thing…
Right?
Someone here with a higher IQ or understanding of herd mentality could very easily get me off the fence.
Or,
Trump is completely full of you know what.
and,
unfortunately we don’t have a fast forward button to see how this apprentice episode ends?
Thanks for your patience and understanding 🙏🏼
Your sarcasm is 100% undetectable
No-on has a plan? Putin does, but no-one of the MAGAs is willing to listen. Europeans listen, finally, and are kick-starting their military production in response, avoiding future purchases from the US as much as possible.
What is Europe have to sell (competitively) to the world? What gets it the bank credits to have this independence? Or does it just fall more precipitously into the hegemony of the US or China? What prevents Europe being auctioned to the highest bidder? And Putin might be a bidder of sorts,in his own ways. Europe had a resources deficit going back centuries, imperially extracting them. Those days are gone. What is it now aside from a tourist destination, peddling its storied past?
Perhaps just do your own research first? Times are changing, it does not pay to keep being brainwashed.
Friedrich Merz can propose a 1.7 trillion euro scheme for arms and infrastructure, but it would take a decade just to plan and build the new factories, much less to create armies than currently don’t exist. The Ukraine war will be over by then. Insane people like Radoslaw Sikorski and his wife might want to restart the war against Russia, but Europeans should decline.
Are you saying this because you’ve tried sticking your maga voodoo doll with a steak knife and its not doing anything?
Why should Putin come to the table when he is in the process of kicking Ukraine’s arse? Obviously it will take a mixture of sticks and gifts to make a deal worthwhile for Russia.
I think strategic realignment is a good idea with respect to Europe and the heartland especially with the clowns in France and others in Europe kissing up to BRICS. It is a good idea to weave this into splitting Russia and China a bit similar to Nixon/Kissinger.
War with Iran would be Netanyahu’s wet dream with the U.S. taking the lead but a disaster economically and militarily for the U.S., only a plus for the MIC. China would probably take the opportunity to seize Taiwan at such time.
Be serious. Russia is is on the verge of economic collapse. Their current interest rate is 21%. Russia has a serious worker shortage. Soldier shortage also as they have to import fighters from NK and perhaps elsewhere. I’ve seen video of Russian “soldier’s” limping around the battlefield on crutches, adorned with all sorts of patchwork bandages.
Wherever you are getting your news from is bogus.
Russia has a war-time economy and cannot end it just like that. “Peace” in Ukraine simply means they need the outlet for the war-time economy somewhere else. The Baltics are the most likely candidate. Could be Transnistria if they succeeded at getting their hands on Odessa which Trump would be glad to offer, but Ukrainians are obviously unwilling to hand it over just like that.
“Economic collapse”. lol Turn off CNN
another commenter guessing on the middle east. I need to remember to pop some popcorn before reading some of these comments.
This has the feel of theater. Trump doesn’t want to be seen by the Neocons of the Republican Party as achieving peace through ceasing to fund the war (even as that is what he can & should do). He must be seen to be stopping it by being a tough guy. There is a certain kind of Republican who just grooves to the pugilistic vibe.
Did I hear he just endorsed Lindsay Graham’s reelection? Sheeeesh.
Nixon was in that tough guy-madman self-image trap. Which kept us in Vietnam for years, long after Nixon has sold himself to the electorate on cheap talk of “I have a plan” and “peace with honor.”
Yup. You got to know when to hold em. Know when to fold em. NATO cannot defeat Russia in Ukraine. Obama said it was existential for Russia. Unfortunately Biden brought in Hillary’s team of dolts to run foreign policy.
The idea of the US being some kind of peacemaking honest broker between Ukraine and Russia would be laughable if it weren’t so cynical. The US has always been a belligerent in the fight. Ukraine is merely our cudgel. Trump should declare Ukraine totally cut off – from money, arms, intelligence, satellite data. The sooner they surrender, the more of their country and their men they’ll keep. Whether the deep state will allow that is the question. If they do, it’s probably only so they can prepare for war against Iran and eventually China. The US has delusions of military supremacy that may only be surrendered by a catastrophic defeat that touches the US mainland.
Good lord! WW3 or you’re my bitch? The fuk? COMRADE!!!!
The US cannot run the world anymore, even if you think they should.
I see. Second banana is your thinking, right comrade? I see. Nyet!
The sooner they surrender the sooner will Putin send Ukrainian men further West. Be real. The only one with a plan is Putin, MAGA has no idea about history, politics, diplomacy, or even the porcelain store where they have suddenly found themselves.
But Ukrainians will not surrender even if the US fully stops funding, which is probably very soon anyway. Surrendering would mean the end of Ukrainians as a nation, that is Putins plan.
And a great plan it is.
I can hear Putin laughing at these threats. Perhaps, he is letting Trump save face?
Putin is probably saying in his private meetings that he is as rich as Musk and Trump should show him similar respect.
Yes, Trump follows Putin’s advice already first, Musk’s second.
Putin’s limousine exploded yesterday and Putin is not laughing. Two weeks ago a Ukrainian suicide drone flew over Putin’s daily commuter route. Zelinski said Putin will die soon. He wasn’t talking about cancer.
Yeah baby!
Boy, you almost sound normal. Like you aren’t a Russian troll…kkkkk ggggg bbbb. Will your paycheck stop if your boy Putin dies?
Mish, you are getting sucked into drama and circus. The deal has already been made.
If, you folks have a serious argument, you’d feel better, but you don’t. Apparently, you sorts are failing at your story telling. Otherwise, you’d all be here, KICKING OUR ASSES. You seem to be unaware at where we are in space and time. This is not an argument about economics. This is an argument about democracy. Like a lot of authoritarian’s, crushing democracy, is your favorite thing. Dude, you are miopic!
What democracy? Certainly not in Ukraine. Observably less and less in Europe. And, according to American folk wisdom definitely not in Russia. *None* of the proposed solutions for the war in Ukraine make any serious reference to actual democratic institutions being a necessary outcome of settlement.
Putin is headed for all of Europe. Why don’t you get that? You want war? Do you want a draft? Will you signup? Keep promoting your love for Putin and Russia. I guess you think trumps love of Russia will keep you safe.
gross stupidity on your part
lol!!
Democracy, shemocracy. We are focused on interests. Zones of influence. Frustrating Russia is a thing. Aggressively promoting global democracy went out with “W” Bush’s failures.
In your mind what exactly does Democracy mean, other that a random buzz word.
Good question. Not being controlled by russian’s and nazi’s is a pretty good American idea of democracy. I see you are fond of them both. What is your idea of a democracy? You do know, the nazis who were fascists called themselves socialist democrats on purpose, right? They were not democrats or socialists. Silly person you are.
There is no serious deal to be made or not made. Trump’s goal is to declare victory (for America) and go home. The more his outlandish deals and unacceptable offered agreements are rejected, the easier it is for Trump to say its strictly a European civil war and nothing can be done. That it has been going on for centuries and thus should have little bearing on America’s conduct.
Trump is the epitome of the Potemkin Village, the media event as reality. He is Caligula ordering the legions to attack the waves on the beach, to declare victory. He doesn’t need a Josef Goebbels, he has one. The pity though is, some time he might order something, like a full scale attack on Iran, with no planning.
Here’s a question: normally when you offer dis-incentives you have a goal in mind what you want the other party to do, what is that? 3 things have been proposed by USA:
a. general ceasefire without conditions (been there, flubbed that: Minsk 1, 2, Istandbul each one advantaged Kiev and got more Russians killed)
b. Energy ceasefire: if you missed the first 2 HIMARS attacks on Russian gas infrastructure, you had to notice the 3rd.
c. Black Sea ceasefire: right, the same one the Euros scuttled in 2023 by NOT connecting Agribank to SWIFT, guess what, the Euros told Trump and Russia to get stuffed, again.
This is an existential war for Russians (per: Dr. Mearsheimer, Dr. Sachs, Amb. Burns) the way to end it now is agree to Istanbul++. A nice start would be to replace Witkoff with someone who comes as prepared as Chazz Freeman and knows Russia as well as Bill Burns.
The US economy would grind to a halt if imports from China stopped. Everything from nails and nuts and bolts to appliances to electrical components. Pharmaceuticals and precursors from India and China keep Americans alive and reasonably sane. Imagine running out of antipsychotic drugs. Russia and India are going to keep buying Russian oil and gas and as Billy Jack said, “there’s not a damn thing you’re going to be able do about it”.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LLN8-buqDIs
It’s really looking like everything coming out of Trump’s mouth is bullshit. He’s just winging it. Has no clue what he’s doing. “Superman” chief negotiator Witcoff is nothing but a mouth piece for Netanyahu. He’s slick and talks a good game, but it is more and more obvious he knows nothing about Russia, history or anything about true diplomacy. He’s just a mouthpiece for Zionist, Globalist foreign policy which will have ZERO chance of fooling or persuading seasoned professionals like Putin or Lavrov. Idiots like Hegseth and Walz, and to a lesser extent Rubio, are an embarrassment to the United States, as are the schizophrenic ramblings of Trump.
I’m starting to get really worried. I had some hope and optimism for the Trump Administration a month ago, but now I hate to wake up and hear the news. The general American public has no clue. Look to Iran. If we bomb Iran, look out below. I fear very dark and dangerous times are coming-and soon.
Your comment rests on the assumption that America’s goal and that it should be, is to run the world. Carefully examine the world and all its intricacies, develop a solution to any problems therein that come to attention and invest the necessary energy and effort to impose a solution.
Take away your assumption that everyone should follow your prescriptions for solving the world’s problems based on your understanding formed from reporting by the major media and there is nothing inherently wrong with the actions of Trump or his cabinet.
I’m sure something formerly known as the British Empire would like to hear this. Life in UK is so great these days. Or France. Nothing inherently wrong with becoming poor and without influence? What, your kingdom is not of this world? What is it of, then?
A highly risky move. If Russia loses the ability to sell oil then they will need to end the war quickly by ending the special military operation and going to full war. That means a general mobilisation of conscripts, heavy missile strikes on targets and a blitzkrieg advance on Kyev. Also bomb the western embassies and assassinate Zelinsky.
Does the US want to force Russia to use battlefield nukes to get the war over? And if Russia does nuke the battlefield then the US and NATO will then have to back down or go to WW3. All for a penile piano player who won’t resign?
They wouldn’t need nukes. Oreshniks would be sufficient – along with taking off the gloves. Because they have not yet taken off the gloves. Zelensky better hope Putin says alive, because Putin is a cautious moderate. Russians have come to understand that the West wants to vivisect Russia, and they will not participate in their own vivisection.
If Putin were to go, a likely candidate to run the war would be Medvedev, and he won’t pussy foot around like Putin is doing.
Ooh. Color me scared. NOT.
Russia doesn’t have the resources or the manpower to continue this war much longer. And if Putin were to unleash a nuke on Ukraine, Moscow and St. Petersburg would likely be taken out in return by Western forces.
Go back to writing movie scripts.
My family (myself, siblings, and father served 71 honorable years in the US military – one of my sisters is in a VA home from Gulf War 1.) I do not know your age and am going to call you son, Jojo… Son jojo, you talk like my autistic son and it is like he is, non sensical – we will provide for him for his life and we all wish the best. The best winners in a full nuclear exchange will be those who die early.
There is naivete and there is ignorance. My sincere hope is your are ignorant.
Respectfully,
Sorry Pops, the Agent Orange has eradicated your brain.
America already has literally thousands of sanctions against Russia in place. A half dozen more won’t fundamentally change things from Russia’s point of view. Their economy is working reasonably well. So well that Russians are impressed given the attacks on it by the west. Russia is achieving its goal in Ukraine with remarkably few casualties. (I mean it is a war after all, even if a limited one)
Half the world will continue to buy Russian oil and gas at a price and rate that is sufficient for Russia to carry on with its operations in a satisfactory manner. There is nothing to indicate that Putin will be forced to change his approach.
Sure. I’d love to read your posts about the condition of USA and how awful our future was if OUR interest rates were 21%! [rotflol]
Blah, blah, trump mad, blah, blah. Vlad only needs to remind Donnie of the kompromat and the ball gag and leash go back on. Pure hopium to expect otherwise.
Trump is immune from kompromant. Conservatives elected a felon, sorry to say it, but the old school America is dead in the water. That’s the plan. For Trump, all crimes an and misdemeanors are another number on his score card.
Carville said it .. just sit back and watch the Trump circular firing squad destroy themselves. The fallout and side effects will be hard to watch. This whole year so far has been based on lies and incompetence. People dont hate govt. anywhere near as much as they thought. A bigger problem will be that he just isnt going to leave, and DT Jr. who is just as pigheaded as Donald, is set to be our next King .. forever.
You are right in that I don’t hate the government as much as I thought; I hate it more, now. After seeing the USAID expenditures, the redundant departments, the complete arrogance and apathy, along with incompetence, I think it all needs to be cut down.
I have no doubt, like a weed, it will grow again, but hopefully it will at least be with some new tech and some better organization than the 1950’s Mad Men era.
I’m sure, you have seen all the fraudulent expenditures. I am sure, you have seen all the savings. Feel free, to share it with all of us. The trump transparency hasn’t been shared with the rest of us. Bring it on buddy. We want to see line by line savings. I am sure, you will share with us, all you’ve learned from your super special basement. Keep hating buddy… I think you’ll end up consumed by it.
