Despite a raging war, Trump has nothing better to do than attack someone with a 95% Republican voting scorecard.
The Wall Street Journal reports Trump Steps Up Effort to Oust Rep. Thomas Massie
President Trump heaped scorn on longtime GOP nemesis Rep. Thomas Massie in a speech in the congressman’s Kentucky district Wednesday, about two months ahead of one of the most closely watched Republican midterm primaries.
“Thomas Massie is a disaster for our party,” Trump said. “We got to get rid of this loser, this guy is bad.”
Trump was joined on stage by his handpicked candidate for Massie’s seat, Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and farmer who unsuccessfully ran for state Senate in 2024. The visit, in which Trump talked up his economic policies, shows how intently he wants to oust one his few remaining GOP critics in Congress.
The MAGA KY super PAC, backed by hedge-fund billionaires Paul Singer and John Paulson and a group funded by Miriam Adelson, started running ads against Massie last year to try to soften him up for the primary. So far, MAGA KY and another super PAC, the pro-Israel RJC Victory Fund, have spent about $3.6 million on ads to oust Massie, the AdImpact data shows.
Massie has questioned Gallrein’s MAGA credentials, calling him “Woke Ed,” and the congressman highlighted that Gallrein left the Republican Party for several years.
Silence
Trump attacked Massie as a human being.
That’s quite the charge from a rapist.
Massie Responds
Hilarious Comment from MTG
“My. Oh. My. Chris LaCivita was so desperate for a candidate to run against Massie, the only one he could find was Eddie Gallrein, who hated Trump so much he left the party after Trump won the primary in ‘16! And tomorrow Trump is going to KY to endorse a true Never Trumper.”

I am very confident this will not be close.
Massie will easily win the nomination.
“Anyone cheering pedophiles and their protectors over Massie is a moron with zero morals.”
Massie on Tariffs
I was unaware until that post what Massie thought about Trump’s tariffs. And I totally agree.
Beautifully Written Gorsuch Concurrence
For those who think it important for the Nation to impose more tariffs, I understand that today’s decision will be disappointing. All I can offer them is that most major decisions affecting the rights and responsibilities of the American people (including the duty to pay taxes and tariffs) are funneled through the legislative process for a reason.
Yes, legislating can be hard and take time. And, yes, it can be tempting to bypass Congress when some pressing problem arises. But the deliberative nature of the legislative process was the whole point of its design.
Through that process, the Nation can tap the combined wisdom of the people’s elected representatives, not just that of one faction or man. There, deliberation tempers impulse, and compromise hammers disagreements into workable solutions. And because laws must earn such broad support to survive the legislative process, they tend to endure, allowing ordinary people to plan their lives in ways they cannot when the rules shift from day to day. In all, the legislative process helps ensure each of us has a stake in the laws that govern us and in the Nation’s future.
For some today, the weight of those virtues is apparent. For others, it may not seem so obvious. But if history is any guide, the tables will turn and the day will come when those disappointed by today’s result will appreciate the legislative process for the bulwark of liberty it is.

Well, let’s hope Trump loses this one. Ron Paul was there for years and years in spite of not being dishonest.
I’m getting pretty tired of ex-military types ESPECIALLY Special Forces types pushing themselves on us as though they are entitled to lifelong worship. There are a few that seem to be grounded but many appear to be publicity hounds even though the SF selection process supposedly weeds out grandstanders in favor of team players.
Fuck you for your “service”!
Special forces are not special soldiers, just those who were trained in sabotage. Yet, in spite of the mystic around them spawned by Hollywood, you will not find a high ranking Army officer who doesn’t flaunt their special forces insignia.
The WW2 Marine Corps got rid of their special forces. The Raiders and the Paramarines were disbanded.
I was never on the Trump train, but I’ve gotten more negative on him through this term. He’s a liar, war monger, and a sell-out. It’s unfortunate that the evil democrats will be the beneficiaries of it.
The less evil than Trumpstien democrats, you mean?
Economic growth in Q4 is 0.7%. So far in fiscal 2026 (5 months; less than 1 fiscal year), MAGA has borrowed >$1,000,000,000,000. Some people made a huge mistake. So far, they can’t admit Kamala was a vastly better choice, which means they’re likely to be making even more huge mistakes.
You can’t fix stupid. People need to accept this and stop expecting any better from the moron population.
They need to be ostracized. Let them form their own little short bus society.
The best outcome would be for Trump to fracture the Republican party in Kentucky resulting in Democrats winning Massie’s House seat and McConnell’s Senate seat.
One more faux anti-war democrat will not make a meaningful change in the vote spread in congress. Plus, we have to take the rest of the shit sandwich that goes with ANY democrat. I’d much rather have a principled, intelligent republican to make the rest look bad.
You’re the problem. Nothing is worse than a so-called principled conservative. Massie is at heart horrible.
Why? Because Trumpstien said so?
You may not have noticed this, but Trumpstien lies about everything, but he lies even more about the people trying to hold him to account for raping children.
Massie needs to run for President after Trump’s out. The Democrats will win, bigly because of Trump, but at least he’ll get his name out there for the next run at it.
Would be great to have someone to vote FOR, even if he loses.
What a shame that this good man is so vilified. Massie is one of a few pols who don’t give me the creeps.
All I hear is flim flam.
That’s the last Trump speech you heard, echoing in your colon, where you have placed your ears.
Zionists control Congress. (Indeed, if Netanyahu wanted the Save Act passed, it would have passed a month ago, and the NY Times would applaud.) ~95% of them are on the take and have a designated Israeli handler. And yet they cannot stand to have one lone voice (who they don’t allow within 50 miles of party leadership) speaking the truth. On the bright side, hopefully many millions of Zionist donor $s will be wasted in a vain effort to beat Massie. There is no one in DC more trustworthy than he is.
Our problems are much much worse, we are dealing with fallen angels not just corrupt men.
Sad that good man Massie feels it necessary to appeal to voters by referring to the “woke agenda”. As though the stakes aren’t far higher.
Baby steps. They don’t even know what woke is anymore, but it sooths them to hear it attacked.
Go Massie, impeach the retard in 2026.
Massie’s life is in danger. I believe an American politician who is anti-Trump will eventually get killed by Trump supporters.
Now this news.

– The WSJ Reports, President Trump heaped scorn on longtime GOP nemesis Rep. Thomas Massie in a speech in the congressman’s Kentucky district Wednesday. > Well this will tell us if the Majority that ushered Trump in, are equally ok with ousting Massie from the mix. No overall home field advantage in Politics.
– “Thomas Massie is a disaster, Trump said. > From Trumps pov he is. Voting against his agenda is voting against the will of the people and the will of the overall Party, in many, if not, most of the time, in many cases.
>> The rest is mostly noise, from the big spenders, sloshing their view acknowledging money around. Easy to grab it, and for only words…
Who cares about. Massie, and why is this a story? So they don’t get along, Wow, News at 8! What do Politicians do, when they don’t get along? Hmm… Stab each other in the back? Blame everyone but themselves? Lean the other way until it blows over? How much time left? How much time for your adversary? Time for Your strongest ally’s, and so on. Are you toast Massie?
“Well this will tell us if the Majority that ushered Trump in, are equally ok with ousting Massie from the mix.”
Massie’s voters are Kentuckians in district 4. They voted for Trump, but even a higher majority voted for Massie. The real question is can the Mossad who has all the videos of Trump raping 13 year olds get enough Jewish money together to wipe out those politicians who don’t like raping teenage girls? I say yes, absolutely they can. Kentucky is a highly religious state, and Christians will always vote for evil over integrity. Remember, the Bible, the Word of God, never says raping teenage girls is a bad thing that should be avoided. But we’ll see.
Lindsey Graham has a primary election on June 6. His main opponent is Paul Dans https://www.pauldans.com/meet-paul who is married to a lady. He has four biological children about whose future he cares.
C’mon South Carolina. Fix this.
Who cares about the republican primary vote straight Democratic ticket in Nov.
That would be the beginning to end this national nightmare.
I’ve driven through S. Carolina a few times. Fixing this is, um, unlikely.
I lived there for 4 years. Though it seemed like 40. Never saw a place so nutty over religion and college football. Not indications of intellectual prowess. Glad I didn’t buy a house there which made it easier to leave when the opportunity presented itself. The realtor did me a favor when she asked what church I attended.
I didn’t even like their style of BBQ with the mustard-based sauce.
Since Colonial America, South Carolinians have consistently elected the worst politicians in American history. It’s apparently a talent embedded in their DNA.
He’s as pro Israel as Senator Swisher. The zionists have a deep bench and deep pockets. Same thing with the guy that beat Eyepatch McCane.
The state is filled with bible nuts and is pretty much a lost cause.
Thomas Massie’s problem is that he believes in MAGA principles. Trump always thought those principles are just there to get people to vote for him, and after that the principles can be discarded like worn-out socks. Will be interesting to see who of the two has the upper hand in the end.
Yes, ultimately he’s MAGA, and it does not get worse than that.
I’m often envious of the multiparty parliamentary system in countries like Denmark, where instead of 2 giant parties, they have a lot of smaller parties that are constantly forming shifting alliances where interests align. If the US had that, antiwar people from the left and the right could align on something like US adventurism in Iran, yet you wouldn’t have to get into bed with someone who was bonkers for raw milk and anti-abortion laws. I would have no problem with my representative working with Massey on issues where we agree as long as we could remain opposed on the issues where we didn’t agree.
But we don’t get that in America, it’s all or nothing. A guy like Massie who is willing to follow his actual beliefs is ostracized because he’s not willing to be 100% tribal.
A real realignment in the US would mean antiwar and anti-oligarchy forces on the left and the right could work together on those issues in spite of not agreeing on other things.
antiwar? https://www.laborpolitics.com/p/why-is-there-no-anti-war-movement
I don’t know. Keir Starmer became Prime Minister by Labor winning 24% of the vote. He’s polling somewhere around 11% now. Blackrock Merz in Germany? The entire West has the worst crop of politicians ever. The US is a political hellscape, though. I agree on that.
>The entire West has the worst crop of politicians ever.
I fear you are an optimist. There has been no indication that next group of leading politicians will not be worse, but there are many indications that the western countries will be even more ungovernable soon. One needs a certain degree of consent for long-term crisis management, and the countries of the “west” (whatever that means) don’t seem to be able to achieve any consent under their citizens.
We spent like 2 years where Manchin from West Virginia was basically the only vote that mattered in the entire Congress. Not just replying to you but also to all the other replies saying similar about multiparty systems. No system is perfect but ours seems like the worst
agree in general. But parliamentary systems are not inherently better. Look at Israel: the far right wing party which has like 6% of the public is the marginal vote so it’s basically in control because Likud needs them to get to a majority.
in the US you get a similar thing where wings form within the 2 parties. Tea Party, progressives for the Dems. etc
but yeah, there’s a party for everyone in system like Europe. you can be a social liberal in support of welfare safety net but tough on immigration.
United State of America is very united.
United to form one party called UNIPARTY.
Don’t you understand?
Forget your multiparty system.
Hmm… Populations perhaps?
Denmark roughly 6M & U.S. roughly 350M, so ask me why?
X
I agree in principle but the real issue is excessive money/corruption at the federal level. The ROI is very high for alot of reasons
No democratic system can survive a cartel of parties.
To the extent it ever worked in the 19th century it was because people voted their own conscience as individuals and debate took place about single issues.
Although proportional representation seems more democratic, European governments are typically in the hands of a centrist coalition of various parties, who decide on a coalition agreement behind closed doors, the outcome is often the opposite of what the platform was, and debate is irrelevant because the agreement rules, lest there be a vote of confidence, and their power evaporate.
Small parties at the center can rule for decades because they are needed to form a coalition, and small parties to the left or right who are needed to form a majority, can effectively blackmail government with a number of single issues.
In much of the 19th century there was the option of leaving the country without leaving the country ie go west where much of what happened in DC didn’t affect you.
Voting is really a terrible way to decide all but the most trivial matters. It works best at a very local level with relatively homogeneous populations. The New England town meeting is a good example. And it does not scale at all.
It will be interesting to see if the GOP has the balls to tell Taco to stay away this fall…
There is a new acronym: TOFU
Trump Only F***S Up
I don’t think it will matter. Even if the war stopped today, the knock on effects will resonate into the fall specifically inflation, federal deficits and the economy.
Been discovering a few other standup people, here and there. Jasmine Crocket, Jim Talrico, Annie Andrews. It’s nice. Kind of like when I thought country music was dead and discovered Sturgil, Tyler Childers, and Colter Wall, and that lead to discovering a whole bunch of other good musicians.
I think we outnumber the stupid and evil by a pretty big margin, and we’ve got red cheeks from turning them just to get smacked on the other one.
Time to stand up and clear our throats…
According to TrackAIPAC, Crockett and Talarico are pro-Israel. Andrews is a blank and gives no indication either way. And she comes with the usual leftist baggage.
I’m at the point where I won’t vote for a candidate that does not explicitly call out Israel and the Israel Lobby. It is an indication that they are willing to make the right call even if it is unpopular. I hope for the day when being anti-Israel is the norm and this metric loses its usefulness.
Thanks for that. I figured there was something about them, but for a time, I had a little hope.
Dreamkiller!
I actually donated to Massie about a month ago. His campaign manager emailed me and asked me if I wanted to talk to him. I thought it would be a focus group or some other garbage, but Massie then actually called me 1-1 and we talked about an hour about family and other topics. He barely even hit me up at the end. I ended up sending him the max donation after the call.
I told him to keep the faith and for Congress to get a spine and defend the Constitution. He said he would do his best, and I actually believe him. I don’t agree on a lot of his policies but the fact I could have a civil discussion with him spoke volumes.
They took you good.
Are you in New Jersey or Jerusalem?
Although I don’t think he will need it, I will soon send my third contribution to the Massie campaign. I think after a few more weeks or months, and endorsement by Trump will be the kiss of death for any republican. Just wait until gas prices go up another back or two. I have been a huge Massie fan for several years. I just love elected officials who are smart, moral and honest–there are so few of them.
